Egyptian Physician Insults Barack Obama

World | Wed, Nov 19, 2008 at 8:05:41 am PST

This is the kind of stuff that might actually turn the far left against Al Qaeda, as Ayman al-Zawahri unleashes a racist tirade against Barack Obama: Al-Qaeda No. 2 Calls Obama Dishonorable ‘House Negro’.

The No. 2 leader in Al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, is dishing out criticism and offering a warning to United States President-Elect, Barack Obama. A new audio message has surfaced online where Al-Zawahiri calls Obama a dishonorable man.

According to the SITE Institute, a U.S. organization that monitors Islamic militant groups, Al-Zawahiri said Obama is “the direct opposite of honorable black Americans” like Malcolm X. He also called the President-Elect a “house negro,” a degrading term meaning he serves White people.

Anything that hints of racism against The One will make the news. Racism trumphs other PC boogymen.

9 tfc3rid  Wed, Nov 19, 2008 8:10:59am

I'm sure Obama will step up to the mic and say "This is not the Al Aqeda I knew..." and then call for talks with Zawahri...

10 bosforus  Wed, Nov 19, 2008 8:11:34am

I think this might be a headline only because a racial slur was involved. Never mind the significance of who it came from. Just more proof that the world needs Obama to clean the world with charisma and teleprompted speeches.

(CNN) -- A purported message from al Qaeda's deputy leader posted on Islamist Web sites on Wednesday told President-elect Barack Obama that "a heavy legacy of failure and crimes awaits you."

I'd say that the "Far Left" is more likely waiting to see whether that Egyptian physician's description is correct from a "far left" viewpoint. No question there are going to be some expectations not met in the days ahead.

20 Dirk Diggler  Wed, Nov 19, 2008 8:14:32am

The term "House Negro" is actually a badge of honor.

Contrary to ignorant opinion, "House Negros" were the first to leave the plantations. They had no great loyalty to their former masters. Since they had higher education levels, many "House Negoes" became teachers and professionals following emancipation.

21 Ringo the Gringo  Wed, Nov 19, 2008 8:14:40am

I'm confused.

I thought our enemies love us now that we've elected Barack Obama.

Could it be that Dr. Zawahri hasn't yet heard one of President-elect Obama's stirring speaches?

22 Power Armored Lizardoid  Wed, Nov 19, 2008 8:14:49am

Guess I shouldn't be surprised he didn't pick Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., since the last thing these terrorist scumbags want to be judged on is the content of their character...

Charles summed up my feelings when he wrote that this might finally turn the Left against Al-Qaeda.

Some conservative commentators said a year ago (when Hillary was the expected Democrat nominee) that it may not be that bad if she got into office. As that would finally make the left take the WOT seriously. Since 9/11, the Democrats hatred of President Bush was stronger then their fear of Islamoterrorism.

I agreed, but don't agree that the same will happen with Obama. See his Attorney General pick as an example that he doesn't take any crime seriously.

32 mean Gene  Wed, Nov 19, 2008 8:17:10am

I had a conversation with an Arabic speaking person.
Seems that ''abu'' means both slave AND black in Arabic.
But that's by no means the worst terms for blacks that exist in Arabic.
I wish I'd written them down.
And the doctor's turn against 0bama reminded me of how Jim Jones went from being a darling of the left (up til Nov 17th 30 years ago) to being a right-wing Christian evangelist after Nov 18th thirty years ago.
Yup, the Left turns on a dime.

I'll bet anything that the traitor Adam Gadahn thought up using the phrase "House Negro." I highly doubt that some Islamazoid freak living in the 7th century would know it or what it means in the context of American history and culture, and I also doubt that the "physician" has ever read a word of anything that Malcolm X wrote.

It's pretty rich that this Egyptian, in whose language the word for "black person" is the same as the word for "slave," would presume to talk about "House Negroes" to the first black President of the USA.

I can't wait for the day when this POS stops polluting the planet's air and starts fertilizing the ground (if there's enough of him left to bother burying).

Gee, insulting the soon to be President of the US. That's sure telling him. It's almost like Zawahiri is egging Obama on just to see if Obama will hit al Qaeda.

Zawahiri has sprung a trap on Obama. If Obama orders strikes, Zawahiri can claim that (1) it's because Obama's a stooge for others; (2) he's vain and can't take being belittled; (3) combination of 1 and 2.

If Obama doesn't continue to respond to al Qaeda with force, Zawahiri sees just how weak Obama is and how a lack of resolve can be exploited in future attacks against US strategic interests worldwide.

In other words, this is a trial balloon to see how Obama will respond.

I see the wily Doctor Camelfukkah's statement as an attempt to drive a wedge between Obama and the Jews, and between black radicals and Obama. If Obama supports Israel then he breaks faith with his black radical supporters and he is an uncle Tom. If Obama throws Israel under the bus then he loses Jewish support.

Sorry, but that's pretty much "whistling past the graveyard" on his part.

The last thing they want is a major increase in US troops in Afghanistan, because we routinely clean their clocks over there. The average kill ratio in a stand-up fight between US troops and the Taliban remnants is around 20-1 in our favor.

The nice thing about Afghanistan vs Iraq is that it's not an urban fight, so there's a lot less concern about collateral damage.

re: #158 ratherdashing

First, the term was "abeed al-beit" and means "house slave." It was taken from Malcom X.

Malcolm X didn't coin it. In the antebellum South, there was a clear social division between "House slaves" and "field slaves." House slaves, who were usually lighter-skinned, considered themselves superior and privileged, because they served in the Master's house and didn't have to do the backbreaking labor that the field hands did. Malcolm was talking about this difference in status as an example of the Master's strategy of "divide and conquer" by sowing division among blacks and implanting the idea that "lighter (whiter) is better."

Good point. However, Obama could also educate said radicals, explaining to them how al-Zawahri words reflect the contempt with which black people are held by many (but not all) Arabs. Obama could do America a great service if he could turn even a small portion of black anger towards the genuine racism of al-Zawahri, then pair that anger with a resolve to see al-Zawahri end his life at the end of a rope, not lynched but judged.

Given that the only place on this planet that BO has said he would like to use military force is Pakistan and the adjacent valleys in Afghanistan I would like to learn more about the Boy Wonder's interest in the place. He did visit there once. One day some reports on where he went and what happened to him should crawl out. This baiting by the Z-ster all sounds less theological than personal. Maybe a closer reading will reveal that Al-Z said of BO that he would "cut his nuts off." Good point.

That would be nice, but I think Obama views his true enemy as the US middle Class.

Charles summed up my feelings when he wrote that this might finally turn the Left against Al-Qaeda.
How freakin' sad is it that it takes a racial slur for there to be a possibility that the Loons will actually realize that these psychopathic murderers aren't really good people at heart?

Don't be so sure that will be the reaction of the far left. John Pilger for example, has already attacked Obama as a tool of the 'American elite', which is 'adept at using the black middle and management class'; in other words a 'house negro'.

[Link: www.newstatesman.com...]

Barack Obama is being lauded by liberals but the truth about him is that he represents the worst of American power. John Pilger reports from Texas

....

Yes, Obama's election is historic, a symbol of great change to many. But it is equally true that the American elite has grown adept at using the black middle and management class. The courageous Martin Luther King recognised this when he linked the human rights of black Americans with the human rights of the Vietnamese, then being slaughtered by a "liberal" Democratic administration. And he was shot. In striking contrast, a young black major serving in Vietnam, Colin Powell, was used to "investigate" and whitewash the infamous My Lai massacre. As Bush's secretary of state, Powell was often described as a "liberal" and was considered ideal to lie to the United Nations about Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction. Condaleezza Rice, lauded as a successful black woman, has worked assiduously to deny the Palestinians justice.

There is much african-american literature on this, and on "passing."

And where do you think this came from? This is something I know about, having done a lot of reading on the subject. The lighter offspring of women raped by the masters were not treated as badly as the darker slaves, because they had some "white blood," and were usually trained to be personal servants for members of the master's family. This equation of "white blood" with superiority and privilege persisted among blacks for the next 100 years or so. Because "House Negroes" were generally more loyal to the Master, the phrase came to be identified with those blacks who accepted whites as their masters and looked down on other blacks.

So did a whole army on the left - about Condi, and Colin.

Condi, the descendant of slaves, who grew up in the segregated South, was best friends with a young black girl blown up by the right wing version of Bill Ayers and overcame Jim Crow, etc, to succeed on merit and not social promotion or affirmative action, to rise to provost at Stanford and was the first black female national security advisor and first black female sec. of state. Because of her incredible accomplishments she should have been hailed from the mountain tops.

THIS is who the left calls a House Slave.

Now it'll be wrong because the son of a white woman and a Kenyan over-seas student, with no US slave lineage, or Civil Rights marching lineage with a far left pedigree is President.

But now, it will bother the left because Obama is a real African American, ie, not a Republican.

I'm not saying it shouldn't bother them, but their hypocrisy is insane as usual.

Leadership lacking at all three.

Eh, selective MSM outrage. Do you think AIG sold off the private jets after they got $150 billion bucks from Hank "Shifty" Paulson?

It's just an effort by the MSM to take the focus off the UAW and the way their contracts have bankrupted the automakers.

Dow is down 190 and is off 1,600 points or 15% from when Obama was elected.

Correlation?

There is some, yes.

1. The market is always a bet on the future.

2. That future now includes Obama as President and the Democrats in control of congress, very possible with a fillabuster proof majority.

3. Obama's comments and policy statements so far equate to spend a lot of money and raise taxes on capital gains and those who make a significant income.

4. Raising taxes is one of the worst things you can do at this point.

5. Obama still has not named a successor to Paulson at the Treasury and that indecision is starting to weigh heavily in the market and suggest strongly that Obama has no idea what to do.

So you see the market discounting that into the prices along with everything else.

Indian navy sinks suspected pirate "mother" ship

NEW DELHI – An Indian naval vessel sank a suspected pirate "mother ship" in the Gulf of Aden and chased two attack boats into the night, officials said Wednesday, yet more violence in the lawless seas where brigands are becoming bolder and more violent...

A multicoalition naval force has increased patrols in the region, and scored a rare success Tuesday when the Indian warship, operating off the coast of Oman, stopped a ship similar to a pirate vessel mentioned in numerous piracy bulletins. The Indian navy said the pirates fired on the INS Tabar after the officers asked it to stop to be searched.

"Pirates were seen roaming on the upper deck of this vessel with guns and rocket propelled grenade launchers," said a statement from the Indian navy. Indian forces fired back, sparking fires and a series of onboard blasts — possibly due to exploding ammunition — and destroying the ship.

They chased one of two speedboats that had been shadowing the larger ship, and which fled when it sank. One was later found abandoned. The other escaped, according to the statement.

Larger "mother ships" are often used to take gangs of pirates and smaller attack boats into deep water, and can be used as mobile bases to attack merchant vessels.

That's the way to do it!

The left has been willfully blind to the threat of jihad even after massive terrorist attacks from 9/11 to 7/7 to the use of children as suicide bombers. To think a simple slur is going to all of a sudden make the left realize what we are facing is so much wishful thinking. I'd love to be wrong, though.

Besides they will probably blame the slur on the Bush/Chenney regime driving them to say such things. If there's one thing I've learned from the moonbats, it's that they'll rationalize anything to fit their dim bulb world view.

Amiri Baraka (a/k/a LeRoi Jones) also married a Jewish woman, whom he later divorced.
Amiri Baraka:

In 1965 Baraka divorced Hettie Cohen, his Jewish wife whom he had married in a Buddhist temple in New York in 1958. They edited in the late 1950s the Yugen magazine which published poetry - Hettie did the pasting up and collating on the kitchen table. Later she specialized in children's books dealing with black and Native American themes. She has depicted her life with LeRoi Jones in her book of memoir, How I Became Hettie Jones (1990).

Ha! Even sooner that Joe the Biden predicted!

My grandfather was on a troopship in the Indian Ocean on the way to Japan when the Bombs went up. Instead of being slaughtered in the invasion of Japan, he served as an MP during the Occupation. Service he was proud of his entire life. When he passed away, he had a military funeral complete with the color guard and 21 gun salute. It was very moving.

I don't know if my cousins arranged for military honors for tomorrow. My guess is no.

My uncle was redeployed from artilleryman to medic and spent two years in Japan mostly patching up local's minor boo-boos. I do believe it changed his life, based on what he told me over the years. Post-war Japan was pretty grim, and these folks had nothing. As an Army Sgt. with three roommates, he had a house, a gardener, and an old woman that came over to cook and clean. He and his friends left the house to her when the last man shipped home. I am lucky enough to have his "war souvenirs", two swords and a good luck flag, that he purchased (not captured, as he would tell you while chuckling).

They don't have to attack Arabs as a race. What must be done is mock the absurdities of the Islamist's ideology. Stand-up comics have been doing it for years. Hell, even Bill Maher has mocked them quite effectively at times. Al-Zawahri is a fool in many ways, and we should call him a fool and mock him as such.

If you make an absurd cartoon of Zawahiri, you will be branded a racist.

Hell, W-B has buried the Bugs Bunny cartoons with Japanese mocking. Even if you took out the OBVIOUS racial slurs, you could not make those cartoons today and expect widespread acceptance.

On the bright side, however:

Major Al-Qaeda operative killed in US drone strike: Pakistan security
1 hour ago

ISLAMABAD (AFP) — A major Arab Al-Qaeda operative was among six militants killed overnight in a suspected US missile strike in northwest Pakistan, a senior security official told AFP Wednesday.

Security sources identified the militant as Abdullah Azam al-Saudi, a senior member of Osama bin Laden's terror network.

They said US intelligence officials had identified him as the main link between Al-Qaeda's senior command and Taliban networks in the Pakistani border region with Afghanistan.

"He was the man coordinating between Al-Qaeda and Taliban commanders on this side of the border, and also involved in recruiting and training fighters," an Islamabad-based senior security official told AFP.

Sources in the Taliban said al-Saudi was also a member of Taliban's supreme council, or Shura, under its fugitive leader Mullah Mohammad Omar when it moved from Afghanistan to the Pakistani side of the border about a year ago.

"He was closely linked to Al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri," a Taliban source added.

Following the strike, al-Zawahiri warned US president-elect Barack Obama against sending more troops to Afghanistan saying that US policy was "doomed to failure" in an Internet audio message.

A security official said the US missile strike was carried out on intelligence that al-Saudi was in a house belonging to a tribesman in the Bannu district, which borders restive North Waziristan.

It was the first alleged US missile strike outside the tribal region which is described by the United States as home to Al-Qaeda's command and control structure.

Terror network chief Osama bin Laden is also widely believed to be hiding in the rugged region, although there is no clear information about his whereabouts.

Al-Saudi is the second high-profile Al-Qaeda operative killed in recent apparent US missile strikes near Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.

Egyptian Abu Jihad al-Masri, described by the US as the terror network's propaganda chief, was among several rebels killed in a November 1 missile strike in North Waziristan, a known hub of Al-Qaeda and Taliban rebels.

At least five Taliban militants were also killed when Pakistani artillery pounded their hideouts through the night in a restive tribal region near the Afghanistan border, local administration official Mohammad Jamil told AFP.

The clashes took place in the Mamoon and Nawagai areas in Bajaur tribal region, where the military launched an operation against Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked militants in August.

"Troops fired artillery on militant hideouts and underground bunkers Tuesday night, killing five rebels and wounding three others," Jamil said.

Islamabad says its operation in Bajaur refutes criticism by the US and Afghanistan that Pakistan is not doing enough to stop militants crossing the border to attack US and NATO troops in Afghanistan.

Washington has seemingly stepped up its missile strikes on the region since March, when a civilian government took over from General Pervez Musharraf, who turned Pakistan into a close US ally in the "war on terror".

Recent strikes against suspected Al-Qaeda and Taliban hideouts, all blamed on unmanned CIA drones, have come despite warnings from Pakistan that such attacks violate international law and could deepen resentment of the United States in the world's second-largest Islamic nation.

Pakistan has officially protested to the United States that strikes violate its sovereign territory, although some officials say there was a tacit understanding between the two militaries to allow such action.

President Asif Ali Zardari recently promised zero tolerance against violations of his country's sovereignty.

You had me worried there for a second. I thought we were getting Manny back. Seems like a give away trade for Boston. A starting quality center fielder for a reliever? I don't know anything about Ramirez though, so maybe it is better than it looks. That was a weakness for Boston last year.

I learned a long time ago that anyone in the entertainment business is not in touch with reality. Therefore, I do not take political points from actors, musicians, artists, etc.

Like Charles?

Hmmm....Off 20% is considered a crash. We're almost there - are the folks in Congress, Treasury, and Wall St. happy now?

It depends on what their goal was.

Also a shout out to any other UNC fans out there. I think I see another national Championship on the horizon. Go Tar Heels!

Well, 7,000 is a loss of 50% in value. In my mind 7,000 is the key. If it goes below that, it's going to be really bad.

At this point it's looking like 8200 to 8000 is the floor though.

Your floor beams are made out of cooked spaghetti..

Mine is a mixed marriage. I was brought up Catholic, though not practicing, and she is Jewish. We are bringing our daughter up to respect both sides.

Thanks! Having lost most of our family to the Holocaust, it was very important to me to raise our son as a Jew. My husband was raised Episcopalian, but he agreed, and it was entirely his decision to convert; I never asked him to.

I believe Kenneth has the correct time lime. (I consider the NOI Islamic -- a strange variant, but nonethless Islamic -- there was also that connection between NOI and Abdullah al-Faruq, in Pakistan).
