The Rising Creationist Star

Social conservatives are waxing ecstatic over Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal.

November 22, 2008—He’s already made history, but does Bobby Jindal want to take on the president-elect who made history just weeks ago? It’s the question on many peoples’ minds as the Louisiana governor made his way across Iowa on Saturday.

He was the keynote speaker Saturday at the Iowa Family Policy Center’s banquet in West Des Moines. Jindal told Channel 13’s Emily Carlson the 2012 Republican presidential ticket was the last thing on his mind, as he shied away from politics the whole evening.

“I’m not here to give you a speech about politics tonight. If you’re here for a political speech, you may leave disappointed. I would suggest after the last tow years of non-stop political coverage, if you came tonight hoping for a political speech, you may want to consider recovery,” Jindal said.

While Jindal says the presidential job is “not for him,” the hundreds of Iowa social conservatives gathered to hear him speak are saying, “Jindal for president in 2012.” Many of them like Jindal for his pro-life, pro-gun, low tax, conservative stance.

Not to mention his pro-creationism and pro-exorcism stance.
