Nude Photos on Cell Phone Lead to Lawsuit

You may have seen this story about Phillip and Tina Sherman, the couple in Bella Vista, Arkansas, who lost a cell phone that just happened to contain nude photos of the wife. They’re suing McDonald’s after a McDonald’s employee allegedly found the phone and uploaded the photos to the Internet, along with their personal information. They want $3 million for their trouble.

Since this is a high-quality professional blog that adheres to only the highest journalistic standards, I spent a good 2 hours running various image searches on Google, Yahoo, Flickr, Photobucket and assorted other photo sites to find said naked images to present to you, the Arkansas Project reader.

Then it occurred to me that that’s a pretty pathetic way to spend my time, and anyway, I don’t even know if this woman is hot enough to make it worth the effort. So I’m gonna give it another 2 or 3 hours, and if nothing shows up I’m hanging it up.

I'm thinking that if you carry nude photos of your wife on your cell phone, you might not want to leave your cell phone in a McDonalds.

But maybe that's just me.

What still bugs me about global warming is someone has the audacity to attack carbon monoxide as a contaminant and pollutant of the planet. I mean there is sulphur and mercury uranium and OIL based residue and we are worrying about a biodegradable totally atmospherically friendly substance like CARBON?

Sheeeooot.

The main lesson from the HLF trial is that prosecutors have to streamline the cases. Don't throw every charge in the book at the defendants. Keep the charges to a minimum so that it reduces the chances of confusion and mistrials or hung juries, which is exactly what happened with the first HLF trial. When you focus on only some of the charges, it improves the odds for conviction.

I agree entirely - having tried cases as a prosecutor and defense attorney, I have learned one thing that stands out: you have to break it down for the jury since they do not understand the case the way you do in all its complexities - you always need to tell them a story.

WHAT A RIP!

Greta has an entire hour with Joran, where he spins this story about selling Natalee, and at the very end of the hour tells us - she got a phone call from Joran where he said he lied about all of it.

WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME.

I know better than to watch Greta. She and her creepy husband are both lawyers and big-time scientologists.

I agree entirely - having tried cases as a prosecutor and defense attorney, I have learned one thing that stands out: you have to break it down for the jury since they do not understand the case the way you do in all its complexities - you always need to tell them a story.

I thought the theory was that if you overharge the jury will convict on something. Isn't that what they did to Scooter Libbey?

Hindsight is 20/20, isnt it?

I think that McCain did well considering who he was running against and the economic climate. Also, the man did not know what Sarah Palin was retarded. He had thought (as anyone would have) that a sitting Governor (even if its Alaska) must have a brain. After the Couric interviews his candidacy was over. I dont blame Sarah, I blame McCain for not vetting her enough, but still people, McCain did the best he could and deserves respect and credit. In this climate the Democrats had the advantage.

Spork

spork is a hybrid form of cutlery taking the form of a spoon-like shallow scoop with the addition of the tines of a fork (usually three or four). Spork-like utensils have been manufactured since at least the late 1800s; patents for spork-like designs date back to at least 1874 and the word "spork" was registered as a trademark both in the U.S. and the UK decades later. Sporks are offered in both re-usable and disposable form and are quite versatile. They are commonly used by fast food restaurants, schools, prisons, and backpackers.

Sure thing .. i used to grow sporks for KFC to stick in their coleslaw packs. Used to raise them in one area of the farm .. next to the coleslaw bushes and the mayonaise lakes ... and then send the pigs out to sniff out some wild buns.
Then we had to wait for the gravy train to roll in ...

Sandbags,

LOTS of sandbags!
Usually I welcome rain in this most arid region of the Golden State, but looking out my kitchen window, please let this front blow east into the higher elevations in the form of snow! All I see is completely denuded hillsides in areas that haven't burned in 60+ years. A "gully washer" will surely overwhelm the extensive series of control washes and debris basins that were built after the killer floods in 1938. A major "Pineapple Express" (similar to El 'Nino, only alot more sub-tropical moisture) could send houses down the channel like 1972 and 1981. So

SANDBAGS!

He's setting up Seattle for a lawsuit. AG McKenna already has ruled against the city. If Seattle tries to enforce it, the city will be in violation of state law, with the knowledge they are.

naw, it is so much easier to use the simple definitions. If they have a gun, and don't have a badge, they are a bad guy and you can shoot them. Good guys with guns with no badges would make it hard for the cops to know who they can shoot.

see the logic?

No, I don't see it (though I know you're kidding). The better prepared the honest citizenry is to defend itself, the easier a time the police will have.

I know what ya mean about concert video's - they all seem to be about the camera guys, not the band or the fans.
But I will say that in, iirc, 1994 there was a concert tribute to Bob Dylan at Radio City or Madison Square Garden, that was close to 3 hours long of GREAT music by some of the then top names in Rock - and the camera guys did nothing much more than focus on the guy(s) singing and playing!

I'm in favor of keeping guns away from thugs and crooks but such effort will never be more than partially successful. Mayors of larger cities need to abandon visions of a disarmed peace and instead find ways to allow the law-abiding citizens to arm themselves. The solution to a gang of thugs is to overmatch them in firepower and will.

One way not to do that is use my tax money to buy $30-$50 junk guns from ghetto people for $100 apiece in absurd gun buyback programs.

WA is technically open carry, but they passed a "Black Panther" law in the '60's to ban "intimidation" by carrying a gun.

Some are pushing back on that.

I since WA is a shall issue state, unlike CA where you to show cause, I contend concealed keeps the bag guys guessing. 1 in 25 in WA have a CPP.

re: #504 rawmuse

Ah, you mean literally cracked up. Sounds like a rather harrowing experience. I'm glad you lived to be with us this evening.

I had been picturing something more like the following, which was written about Brownsville, Texas, rather than Durango. Before you read further, take a long, deep, lonely sigh, and try to imagine yourself sitting at the ancient Napoleon House bar on a sweltering hot day in New Orleans, as paint peels on two-hundred-year-old walls, and beads of condensation trickle down the side of your empty glass.

I’ve been trying to get to Brownsville, Texas, for weeks. Right now it’s a hundred degrees in New Orleans and the gays are running down Chartres Street with no shirts on, trying to stay young. I’m not running anymore. When I get to Brownsville I’m going to sit down in the middle of the street, and that will be the end of the line.

Ten in the morning and they’re playing a Schubert piano trio on the tape and the breeze is blowing in from the street and I’m sobbing into a napkin. “L.G.,” she used to say, “you think I’m a mess? You’re a mess, too, L.G.” That was consolation to her.

The walls in this café have been stained by patches of seeping water that will never dry, and the plaster has fallen away in swatches that look like silhouettes of countries nobody’s ever heard of. Pictures of Napoleon are all over the place: Napoleon blowing it at Waterloo, Napoleon holding his dick on St. Helena, Napoleon sitting in some subtropical café thinking about the past, getting drunk, plotting revenge.

I picture Brownsville as a place under a merciless sun, where one-eyed dogs stand in the middle of dusty, empty streets staring at you and hot breeze blows inside your shirt and there’s nowhere to go. It’s always noon, and there are no explanations required. I’m going to Brownsville exactly because I’ve got no reason to go there. Anybody asks me why Brownsville—there’s no fucking answer. That’s why I’m going there.

Last night I slept with a woman who had hair down to her ankles and a shotgun in her bathtub and all the mirrors in her room rattled when she laughed. She was good to me; I’ll never say a bad word about her. There’s always a history, though; her daughter was sleeping on a blanket in the dining room. It would have been perfect except for that.

Because if there is, I am going to package it a case with a glass front and a small hammer with the words "in case of emergency, break glass" painted on the front.

Over the next 4 years I will make millions.

I have insomnia due to restless leg syndrome, and over the weekend I was awake at 4 am trying to sleep. I heard that commerical in the background on tv and thought it was a Tyler-Durden-esque insomnia hallucination. Saturday Night Live couldn't have come up with funnier copy for that commercial.

It came on very suddenly about 5 years ago. I take Requip for it. It's slowly getting a little better. It runs in families, and it's tied a little to hormones (I'm a girl) and iron levels (perhaps). It's a special kind of hell--you're on the point of falling asleep, and then your legs jerk and hurt. The more you resist, the more it hurts. Requip works for me, but I do hate to have to take a pill to sleep.

Ron Howard on Leno talking about his feelings and why he likes The One.

Upon reading that comment, I spontaneously screamed an obscene phrase loud enough that it may have awakened the neighbors. Normally I'm a very restrained guy, but that was just more than I could take.

If there isn't already, there should be a law in California that you can't carry a firearm into the audience of a taping of Leno when Ron Howard is on, talking about why he likes The One. There's just too much danger of people losing control.

Well, I been looking at that site for 20 minutes.
It is seriously out of date. There is no way those things are legal in CA.
The open carry in an auto was completely false. Here is from the State A.G.

California Penal Code section 12025 does not prevent a citizen of the United States over 18 years of age who is not lawfully prohibited from firearm possession, and who resides or is temporarily in California, from transporting by motor vehicle any pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person provided the firearm is unloaded and stored in a locked container.

The term "locked container" means a secure container which is fully enclosed and locked by a padlock, key lock, combination lock, or similar locking device. This includes the trunk of a motor vehicle, but does not include the utility or glove compartment. For more information, refer to California Penal Code Section 12026.1.

Are we talking about "Zoo"?

I actually saw the original video on which the movie was based. It was floating around on various "shock blogs" a few years ago.

The video itself is only a minute or two long. At the end when the horse finally was, uh, successful, you can hear the guy emit a horrifying kind of noise, which I suppose was his death groan, eventually. It wasn't exactly a snuff film, because the guy dies much later I think, but you saw the injury that eventually killed him.

And, having seen the video, I will say that yes, you have to be certifiably insane to have anal sex with a horse.

I took a second look at the Ballantines and noticed the same thing you did. I am assuming that this is American beer and not ferin beer.

ABC Beer, Cambodia.

Cambodian Beer?!?!?!?!?!

Looks like match, though.

ABC has golden arch surrounding the label info, beer in photo has a black arch.

re: #622 zombie

There's gold trim around the logo area of the ABC Cambodian beer, that's not on the can in your photo. But in 4 years, the logo might have changed. It's a stout, almost black, and Europeans love their dark beers, so maybe. lol

Archipelago Brewing Company, Cambodia.

Damn, looks similar to the can on the right, doesn't it?

Rats. No idea. Though I can identify a Rolling Rock bottle from a passing airplane, which does you no good.

I have got to go. Time to do some work on an exceptionally slow night. Twelve hours is going to drag by.

Good luck on finding the beer.

Still looking up "stultifying"...please stand by.

Good night Fellow Lizards!

The ABC logo depicted in this photo is more similar to the mystery photo. I think the logo did change.

re: #618 Last Mohican

I don't know much about beer. But here is a site that has a hell of a lot of pictures of beer cans. You gotta click on them to see them, though, so this doesn't work so well for rapid searching. Still, if this still isn't figured out by tomorrow, maybe about a hundred lizards could divide and conquer. It's the least we can all do for zombie.

Hmmm, hard to find the photos for most of the Euro ones there.

re: #630 zombie

yea, I'm not seeing it, more maroon than red, more mu
stard than gold on the ABC. Looks like old Carling or Genny Cream ale colors.

re: #626 zombie

Yes, that one looks more like the one in your photo.

634 zombie  Mon, Nov 24, 2008 10:53:54pm

Another version of the ABC can, with many illuminating reviews!

635 zombie  Mon, Nov 24, 2008 10:54:57pm

We're supposed to be focusing on the one on the left, anyway!

So much more of it is visible.

636 Last Mohican  Mon, Nov 24, 2008 10:57:15pm

Zombie, I have a question. Is it possible that those cans aren't beer at all? Could they be, say, ginger ale or lime-flavored soda?

637 BlueCanuck  Mon, Nov 24, 2008 10:57:23pm

re: #635 zombie

difficult really. I have been doing a couple of image searches. Tried cans first, that's what got the first image I found. Now doing logos, so far now luck. Am continuing to see how deep this rabbit hole goes.

Here's a program that may help you with your sleuthing: go to [Link: www.download.com,...] and download "sitesucker". You can use it to automatically crawl through any website and download, say, all of the .jpg's, .gif's, and .tif's. I just used it to rapidly look at hundreds of cans from that "Collectibles by James" site.

Highly unlikely, Extremely unlikely, if you could see the rest of the photo. 98% chance it's beer/ale/stout.

I live up up in the San Brenardino Mountains and I an not looking forward to the upcoming rain. We will get anywhere from 1.5 inches to 3.00 inches of rain in a 24 hour period.

Flash flood anyone.
