Would that we could find HOLINESS in the Holy Land... where is Mount Carmel when we need it?

2 Shug  Wed, Nov 26, 2008 4:27:47pm

Why would this man be afraid to show his face?

Surely, the practitioners of the Religion of Peace would want to thank him for exposing terrorism, right?

I wonder how damaged the cell phone was and if they were able to pull any forensics off of it. Even if damaged, that phone could have been a gold mine of information- call logs, text messages, contact information, etc. Any information pulled from that phone at all could have helped the case.

Perhaps they thought the fireplace/grill was too obvious for investigators, so they thought they'd bury the tapes and make the authorities think the tapes were burnt.

NOT so coincidental, Thanos... remember that the house-owner would have picked up subconscious clues from his first moment at the house, and when THIS finally added to it all, his (America-loving) subconscious would have guided him aright, to ASK and to KEEP SAFE the cache he'd uncovered.

Board keeps faulty ballots from Senate recount

The state Canvassing Board, a panel of five arbiters charged with determining the winner in the overtime election tussle between Republican incumbent Norm Coleman and Democratic rival Al Franken, unanimously voted this morning to deny the Franken campaign's request that rejected absentee ballots be included in the recount.

During the discussion, the board members stressed that they weren't rejecting the merits of the arguments made by Franken's attorneys. They also made it clear they expect the issue to be litigated separately from the recount procedure.

This ruling pretty much guarantees that Franken's going to lose. But don't expect that the asshole's going to do the right thing and honorably concede. Expect him and his team of Bonkey freaks to drag this up and down through the State and Federal courts.

Israel first attempted to cure its Islamist problem by giving them all homes, and education. Thinking that if they just showed the Arabs what Israel was really about, and gave them the opportunities all Israelis wanted, they would "get on board".

They used those homes as Terrorist bases, and the education to organize Terror cells, and create bombs.

Myself, I wouldn't care if all of Hollywood fell into the ocean and they all drowned. Good riddance.

These "people" are rabid dogs. You cannot reason with them or rehabilitate them. You can only keep them away from people and put them down.

Would be counterproductive. "America is the BIGGEST terrorist thug! Waaah! Boo-hoo!" would run the Victim's Grievance Theater!

I caught a sand shark somewhere in the sound when I was 12. I'm pretty sure I remember them calling it Hood canal.

But that was over 30 years ago.

A bit west, Hood Canal. The West Coast Ohio base is at Bangor on Hood canal, thanks to Scoop Jackson and Warren Magunson.

Karridine and Kigore: We live in a nuclear world and must be sensible to that. We,the democratic freedom lovers, must protect the freedom that was born in Greece 2500 years ago. Can we fight the menace to freedom that is exerting itself throughout the world and that is dedicated to the destruction of those freedoms for which we have defended against all enemies since our countries inception? How do we respect the borders of countries who harbor our enemies? What sacrifices must we make? This enemy must be destroyed at all costa.

So, did they infiltrate the security forces. They killed at least a couple of high level anti-terrorism officials as part of the attacks.

Not all terror attacks require the terrorist to die right off the top. Look at the news that's been coming out with all the hostage taking and random shootings. This is a slow burn form of terrorism and just as effective.

Upding for the supplemental information.

Lesson to the newbies. No matter how arcane the information you find on the innernets, some geek here might find it useful.

It might be even more effective. It prolongs the onslaught of bad news and thus may more effectively demoralize its targets. Vilely clever.

So what do they want the hostages for? If all they wanted to do was kill them, they would have already done that and then tried to escape in the confusion.

There is no escape from where they are. And no matter how this scene unfolds, they are on a suicide mission. So the hostage scenario doesn't make much sense unless they have a specific demand.

They might just want more television coverage of their slaughtering innocent people and the hostages allow them to draw that out.

These twit "journalists" on TV are too much.

I was watching CNN a few minutes ago and they were talking on the phone to someone hiding in the Taj hotel.

The anchor asked the person on the phone exactly he was were in relation to the terrorists...

The person on the phone said they would rather not reveal that to the terrorists over the TV.

Make the authorities grovel for their release, give the authorities pause in planning an all out assault. Parade the hostages in front of the cameras.

So, what kind of gun laws exist in India.

Reminds me when my 15 year old lad was being diagnosed with possible appendicitis. The doc does the tummy check, gets him to jump up and down, takes temp, then mutters "I may need to do a rectal examination"

To which my lad responds "I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT IS, BUT I DONT LIKE THE SOUND OF IT!"

If its all about publicity, the Islamists got it. (Can I call them that?) But they aren't getting out alive. At least not for long. There are no negotiations that will end up in their walking away free. I think the best tactic now is to stall as long as possible to try to figure out who is where and then storm the place with overwhelming force. Every one of the terrorists leaves the scene dead.
