Rosie O'Donnell gave NBC a real turkey.

The network's attempt to revive the primetime variety show failed to draw an audience Wednesday night, tying for the evening’s lowest-rated program.

It is a stainless steel inside out grill. There is a "tower" where you put the food and the charcoal goes on the outside and top. You can cook a whole chicken in the thing in about an hour.

MSM makes excuses for Islamic terror, blames the West...
Behind the Mumbai Massacre: India's Muslims in Crisis

The roots of Muslim rage run deep in India, nourished by a long-held sense of injustice over what many Indian Muslims believe is institutionalized discrimination against the country's largest minority group. The disparities between Muslims, which make up 13.4% of the population, and India's Hindu population, which hovers around 80%, are striking. There are exceptions, of course, but generally speaking Muslim Indians have shorter life spans, worse health, lower literacy levels, and lower-paying jobs. Add to that toxic brew the lingering resentment over 2002's anti-Muslim riots in the state of Gujarat. The riots, instigated by Hindu nationalists, killed some 2000 people, most of them Muslim. To this day, few of the perpetrators have been convicted.

Time also claims that the problem started in 1857 from British colonialism. Astounding ignorance.

Hey on my back deck I have the orion, a propane smoker/grill, a charcoal grill/smoker and a standard smoker. I saw this thing at home depot and looked at it and saw the cook times and said no way. I did the research and went back and bought it. It works great. You can do pretty much anything in it and it smokes food pretty good. Not as good as my charcoal smoker, but passable.

He kept telling Medved that Iraq was lost and a disaster, that we should just leave Afghanistan too, cause that is hopeless. He also said that war is never the answer, to anything. When Medved asked him about the war he fought in (WWII), he even said that one was not good. He thinks we could have "negotiated" with Hitler...

My high school senior was REQUIRED to read his book, The People's History of the United States. Luckily, his teacher is very balanced. She made them read A History of the American People by Paul Johnson as well.

How do people like him and Chomsky have any credibility? They are wrong on just about every major issue of the day, yet, they are held in such high regard (not by me though).

And they all moved away from me on the bench there, and the hairy eyeball and all kinds of mean nasty things, till I said, "And creating a nuisance." And they all came back, shook my hand, and we had a great time on the bench, talkin about crime, mother stabbing,
father raping, all kinds of groovy things that we was talking about on the bench. And everything was fine, we was smoking cigarettes and all kinds of things, until the Sargeant came over, had some paper in his hand, held it up and said.

"Kids, this-piece-of-paper's-got-47-words-37-sentences-58-words-we-wanna-
know-details-of-the-crime-time-of-the-crime-and-any-other-kind-of-thing-

officer's-name-and-any-other-kind-of-thing-you-gotta-say", and talked for
forty-five minutes and nobody understood a word that he said, but we had
fun filling out the forms and playing with the pencils on the bench there,
and I filled out the massacre with the four part harmony, and wrote it
down there, just like it was, and everything was fine and I put down the
pencil, and I turned over the piece of paper, and there, there on the
other side, in the middle of the other side, away from everything else on
the other side, in parentheses, capital letters, quotated, read the
following words:

We walked in, sat down, Obie came in with the twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one, sat down. Man came in said, "All rise." We all stood up, and Obie stood up with the twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures, and the judge walked in sat down with a seeing eye dog, and he sat down, we sat down. Obie looked at the seeing eye dog, and then at the twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one, and looked at the seeing eye dog. And then at twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one and began to cry, 'cause Obie came to the realization that it was a typical case of American blind justice, and there wasn't nothing he could do about it, and the judge wasn't going to look at the twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against us. And we was fined $50 and had to pick up the garbage in the snow,...

Excellent I use to know that whole thing word for word.

And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I
wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and
guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill,
KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the Sergeant came over, pinned a medal on me, sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy."

re: #51 Killgore Trout

Time is doing exactly what the Islamicist terrorists want the MSM to do. The riots in Gujarat were a direct response to a massacre of Hindus, immolated alive on a train by Muslim terrorists. The reaction of the Hindu community now gets fed back to the world as proof that the Muslims are a persecuted minority.

I also like this quote:

Still, many South Asian Muslims insist Islam is the one and only force that can bring the subcontinent together and return it to preeminence as a single whole. "We [Muslims] were the legal rulers of India, and in 1857 the British took that away from us," says Tarik Jan, a gentle-mannered scholar at Islamabad's Institute of Policy Studies. "In 1947 they should have given that back to the Muslims." Jan is no militant, but he pines for the golden era of the Mughal period in the 1700s, and has a fervent desire to see India, Pakistan and Bangladesh reunited under Islamic rule.

So the reversal of the Moghul conquest and subjugation of India's Hindu population wasn't liberation of the oppressed Hindu majority, but robbery from the Muslim minority rulers. On that logic, it's time to roll back the clock in Zimbabwe and reconstitute it once more as Rhodesia, white rule and all. Or maybe the logic is flawed...

[Sorry about the cloned posting, but I want to give Lizards a chance to respond in kind. Note the email link.]

Here's an email I just posted to the Indian embassy:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Today, the world mourns the slaughter of innocent travelers, workers and Indian citizens at the Taj Mahal hotel by bloodthirsty fanatics. Thankfully, the incident is now over, albeit at an appalling cost of human life. It is ironic that the country that birthed civilization as we know it seems to suffer so much from the acts of savages.

On this day when my fellow Americans thank God -- however we conceive Him -- for our blessings, I will pray for the healing and safety of your great nation.

May Brahma bless India!
