The male gender is in danger, with incalculable consequences for both humans and wildlife, startling scientific research from around the world reveals.
The research – to be detailed tomorrow in the most comprehensive report yet published – shows that a host of common chemicals is feminising males of every class of vertebrate animals, from fish to mammals, including people.
Backed by some of the world's leading scientists, who say that it "waves a red flag" for humanity and shows that evolution itself is being disrupted
We were told that a womyn needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. Looks like we're going to find out.

The only thing feminising the males of the human species are the feminist humanists who want to neuter all males from birth in the vain attempt to remove the urge to fight wars. They have all the answers, dumbass me!

Actually, no.
Female hormones – largely from the contraceptive pills which pass unaltered through sewage treatment – are partly responsible, while more than three-quarters of sewage works have been found also to be discharging demasculinising man-made chemicals.

But that's at the treatment plant, on the going out side. What about the water treatment plants, for the water going into the system? Tell me that has hormones in the water going out, and I might believe you.
Indeed, new research at the University of Rochester in New York state shows that boys born to mothers with raised levels of phthalates were more likely to have smaller penises and undescended testicles. They also had a shorter distance between their anus and genitalia, a classic sign of feminisation. And a study at Rotterdam's Erasmus University showed that boys whose mothers had been exposed to PCBs grew up wanting to play with dolls and tea sets rather than with traditionally male toys.
Communities heavily polluted with gender-benders in Canada, Russia and Italy have given birth to twice as many girls than boys, which may offer a clue to the reason for a mysterious shift in sex ratios worldwide. Normally 106 boys are born for every 100 girls, but the ratio is slipping.
I was in a bookstore yesterday looking for gifts and I saw teenage boys with more makeup on than street hookers. Creeps me out that our future lies with boys who get into their mom's makeup...
But that's at the treatment plant, on the going out side. What about the water treatment plants, for the water going into the system? Tell me that has hormones in the water going out, and I might believe you.
You don't have to believe me, I am merely the bringer of the news.
Take it up with the scientific big bulging brains that wrote the paper.
But that's at the treatment plant, on the going out side. What about the water treatment plants, for the water going into the system? Tell me that has hormones in the water going out, and I might believe you.
I read an article a couple of months ago that said the water going out of the plants contains hormones, meds (including psycho meds), and other chemicals and it's happening every day. I can't remember if I read it online or in the paper. I'll try to find it. It was very disturbing.
In regards to that article about cats. I went over it in more detail. It appears that it was written by a Witness, and it is in regards to an article that appeared in the organizations magazine The Watchtower."
I will have to look closer into this. What I am reading there WAS NOT A DOCTRINAL POINT IN THE 70's.
But, that's one of the fun things about Jehovah's Witnesses, they will always keep you on your feet with new "suggestions" that come out in the magazines.
They are not LAWS, but "suggestions" which frequently turn into BIG DOCTRINAL ISSUES, because that's how the organization keeps the members pre-occupied with new things to keep thier minds on the "prize."
At times, the Watchtower magazine will address an issue that may be pertinent to a particular problem in a particular country (let's say AIDS in Africa). Maybe the references to a Watchtower article on that web site is an article about keeping a house clean, or allergies or something of that nature and some members are taking the information further than needed.
One thing for sure, that web page is not an official web page of the Watchtower Society and any info on it, correct or not, would not be sanctioned by the Society. They are very controlling of any information disseminated to the public.
So, I am going to find out how much of this is from the Watchtower Society board of directors or just from members elaborating on some points made in the Watchtower.
I was an anarchist in my late teens, don't feel too bad. But while I worked my butt off to earn my way to college, my anarchist friends bummed around on their parent's money and I realized just how dumb the ideology was. Plus if you've ever been to an anarchist commune, you never ever want to go back. Dirtiest, nastiest, most horrifying place I have ever visited.

They can't organize enough to take care of the basics?
It's looking like a $15 billion bridge loan deal is all but a done deal to get the auto companies through to March, at which time we will do it all over again.
I would also expect to see the CEO's of some banks; dragged to Washington and put in front of cameras for their 15 minutes of fame. The Dem's will have to be careful about how they handle that though, cause a lot of these guys are going to be part of Obama's administration.
Look for the market to open down tomorrow. I'm pretty sure a lot of the 300 rise late Friday was caused by a lot of short sellers heading for the door for the weekend, they will be back Monday morning. The DOW and S&P futures are down slightly.
The ones who lived in the commune were just idiots. High all the time, never worked, just stole money from the rest of us. Then the ones who lived in the city usually had money from mommy and daddy. A big change for me was when I met a guy who had ridden a train to my city and he told me about the rest of the country and how it was all the same. All the hypocrisy.
Couldn't take it any more. I left that lifestyle in a heartbeat. But on the flip-side, the music scene was wonderful and I still listen to it.
But that's at the treatment plant, on the going out side. What about the water treatment plants, for the water going into the system? Tell me that has hormones in the water going out, and I might believe you.
Here's one article.
This week, an update on that report will be released, says Herb Buxton, coordinator of the United States Geological Survey's Toxic Substances Hydrology Program.
The news is not good: "The compounds we use in small amounts can get significantly concentrated because of how we handle wastewater," Buxton tells WebMD. "Our filtration systems aren't built to treat these kinds of chemicals -- organic chemicals. We need more sophisticated technology to filter them."
Most problematic, Buxton says, is whether antibiotics in the environment cause antibiotic resistance. Also, could natural human hormones as well as synthetic hormones (birth control pills, hormone supplements, and estrogen-like compounds such as detergents) affect fertility?
...
"The core problem is -- there's nothing really in the design of most treatment plants to take this stuff out," says Robert Morris, MD, PhD, an environmental health consultant and professor at Tufts University. "This is a truly daunting problem. Treatment systems were all initially designed to get rid of bacteria and viruses. They have filters and use chlorine, but that doesn't do a whole lot to get rid of chemical contaminants."
I was listening to the radio this morning and some congress critter, I missed which one was going off on CEO compensation.
I was on the point of yelling at the radio. "CEO compensation is a drop in the bucket! It's a teeny eeny weensy part of the part of the problem you arrogant, envious, ignorant jackass!"
I think congress critters check any brains they have at the beltway when the go to DC.

Okay, so we need to start testing the water in the treatment plants and see what kind of levels we're seeing first. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to cry wolf from just one paper. I want to see more science done with testing results. It's not just a belief, despite what I wrote earlier; I want to see solid science and not simply fear mongering to garner research money.

One main complaint against CEO compensation is that they make millions when times are good, and millions when times are bad.
Okay. I take the point. Let's just agree that no CEO may receive a salary whilst the company is tanking. Make it a law.
Then apply that law to Congress and all federal employees.

I don't have a lot problems with CEO pay, if that's what shareholders and the board agree to so what? Free market! And the government has absolutely no damn business muddling in private contracts.
And yes I understand the perception of excessive pay. But if the perception is a problem, again it's the shareholders and boards duty to deal with it.
No a bunch of congress critters whose action got us into the FUBARed mess in the first place.
I didn't think there was. I just got home from the theatre, am a little tired, all my cleverness was spent entertaining happy holiday people with some O. Henry stories.

Tribune has hired bankruptcy advisers as the ailing newspaper company faces a potential bankruptcy filing, people briefed on the matter said.
The newspaper, which was taken private last year by billionaire investor Samuel Zell, has hired advisers including Lazard and Sidley Austin, one of its longtime law firms, these people said. Tribune has been hobbled by debt related to that sale last year, which has been compounded by the growing drought of advertising for newspapers.
It is only the latest — and biggest — sign of duress for the newspaper industry yet. Several newspaper companies have struggled to cope with declining revenues and mounting debt woes. Tribune has pared back the newsrooms of many of its papers, including The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times and The Baltimore Sun, and it sold off Newsday to Cablevision’s Dolan family earlier this year.
The McClatchy Co., burdened by debt and a steep slide in newspaper advertising, wants to sell one of its most prized properties, The Miami Herald, according to people briefed on the company's plans.
McClatchy, the nation's third-largest newspaper chain, has approached potential buyers for The Herald, said these people. But they said they knew of no serious offers for the paper, reflecting the evaporation of major investors' interest in buying newspapers.
I smell another bail out coming.
If the Dem's are going to bail out the UAW who produced so many votes for them, then they are also going to bail out the MSM who worked so hard to get Obama deified and elected.
It will go hand in hand with their new 'Fairness Doctrine"
I used to live in Brookings, Oregon, and still read it's online paper. This story, of a long-ago murder case, carries a surprise when describing one aspect of the three perps.
Were you one of those well-dressed polite young folks who used to come knocking on the door in groups on weekend mornings peddling The Watchtower?

Any educated Klingon can tell you: Qagh (Gakk) is delicious! Especially live...
qagh: A dish of serpent worms, best when served live. In preparing the dish, the worms are fed diluted animal blood, which the worms find unappealing and will eat only when they are starving. Just before serving, the now ravenous worms are placed in a thick sauce. The worms eat the sauce, including an herb ingredient that is toxic to them and kills them in just a few minutes. Leftover qagh is served as a stew. When referring to the serpent worms themselves, before being prepared as food, the tlhIngan Hol word is ghargh. It is also served with m'ressa twigs.
off topic, Ms Manners-I wanted to apologize for your getting stepped on in a previous thread. I have 5 sisters, am the 4th child-so I definitely have a feminine side. You reacted to what you thought was a comment about rape-you were unaware that the post was about the Authors' suicide. Many peeps have said they understood, once you explained-but the negative dings weren't undone;tho your post was deleted by the Big Lizard, as you requested. I don't know, as a Hatchling, how Karma works here-but despite you putting me in my hatchling place, once-I respect what you post, and think I understood that one. I did want to post this here-and hope some who downdinged you might consider reversing that in this thread. But, what do I know-I'm a hatchling! My respects M'am, and 'Cheers'.

I didn't say anything about crying wolf. I said what I have read in the past is disturbing. I'm just passing on some info about it. Here's another article.
Washington Aqueduct is a public water utility that provides water services to the District of Columbia, Arlington, Va., and Falls Church, Va. The AP's investigation found D.C.'s drinking tested positive for six pharmaceuticals: carbamazepine, caffeine, ibuprofen, monensin, naproxen and sulfamethoxozole.
That chemicals, hormones, etc., are not being filtered out is not in dispute. The effect on humans is what needs further investigation. Especially after they discovered this.

I used to answer the door and say (before they could open their mouths), "Sorry, I've already bought my religion."
Peddling... Hmmm, sort of a loaded word, but anyway, yes, I was a member for 5 years in the 70's, and yes, I did my share of field service visiting you in your underwear.
I won't tell anyone here that you wear silks. Not boxers, silk tighties.
I don't know why the publisher put "The Last Leaf" together with "Gift of the Magi" as an evening of Christmas theatre.
"The Last Leaf" is down wright depressing. Sure it has sort of a "advent" ending, a life for a life, but Xmas. No way. I practically want to burst out crying at the end. Thank goodness it's the first act, I wouldn't want to leave the audience with that story. "Magi" is the second act, and it's really funny, and of course it is a holiday story.
Both are one act musicals, all original music, almost an operetta.
Quirky and entertaining video, though i would have preferred to see 'Blue Powder' or 'Whispering a Prayer' from "Steve Vai: Live at the Astoria", or Vai's triple-neck guitar improv that leads into 'I know You're Here' from "G3: Live in Denver" (all available on YouTube); Vai is a great guitarist.
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Consumers who have recently enjoyed a sharp fall in gas prices might see those prices start to creep back upward next year if a cut in oil production by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries turns out to be deeper than expected.
The president of OPEC, Chakib Khelil, told the Associated Press that a decision on production cuts will likely be made when OPEN meets on Dec. 17. Khelil said no decision on the output reduction has been made, but that it would be "severe." Oil industry analysts say OPEC could cut its production by as much as 2 million barrels a day.
OPEC will be meeting amid one of the largest sustained drops in oil prices in years. On Friday, oil closed at $40.81 a barrel -- a four-year low -- after climbing above $140 a barrel in July. OPEC announced a cut of 1.5 million barrels a day in October, but that cut failed to stop the ongoing drop in oil prices.
Khelil said that he thought a fair price for oil would be "at least" $70 barrel, according to the AP report.
All they have to do is wait for Obama to be sworn in, after which he will likely sign executive orders banning offshore drilling again. Price will jump then.

I wish the car execs would tell Congress to shove it and go with the controlled chaos of bankruptcy. Obama is already flexing his it's my way or the highway muscle. And you know what "adapt" means. Adapt to his green global warming vision.
Obama: Auto bosses should adapt or go
CHICAGO — President-elect Barack Obama fired a warning shot today at the top executives of the Big Three auto companies, saying that they should either agree to drastic reforms or be sacked.
“If this management team that’s currently in place doesn’t understand the urgency of the situation and is not willing to make the tough choices and adapt to these new circumstances, then they should go,” Obama said at a brief Sunday afternoon news conference here.
Here's the laugh of the week. Freddie/Fannie fiasco maker Chris Dodd calls for GM head to step down. Why isn't Obama sacking him? Tyranny in the making.
Sen. Dodd senator calls for GM head to step down
CHICAGO – A senator who will help determine whether the auto industry gets a $15 billion bailout said Sunday that the head of General Motors should step down, telegraphing what could be a congressional demand for a top-line shake-up in Detroit in exchange for financial life support.
Rick Wagoner, the chief executive of GM, has to move on," said Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. He spoke on CBS' "Face the Nation."
"I think you have got to consider new leadership," Dodd said. Asked if that should be a condition of any bailout, he added, "I think it is going to have to be part of it."

NEW YORK--- David Gregory's new job as moderator of Meet the Press is official with the announcement on the long-running NBC interview program that he will take over starting next Sunday.
The 38-year-old chief White House correspondent for NBC News was introduced Sunday by Tom Brokaw, fill-in moderator for Meet the Press since the death last June of Tim Russert, the program's moderator since 1991.
Why didn't they just give the job to David Axelrod?

You've got to remember that sentimental death was a huge entertainment 100+ years ago. People dropped dead routinely of so many diseases we have all but conquered today that bereavement and mourning were part of everyday life instead of the rarity and personal offense that they have become, and so tales like "The Last Leaf" were a common way of siphoning off the worst sting of sadness.
I guess you are right. That's probably why I cried at the end of Saw III when John (Jigsaw) died.

It's a toss up I think.
And how sad we even have to comment on such things.
TV news election coverage of Barack Obama was twice as favorable as John McCain’s and Sarah Palin’s coverage, according to the a new report from the Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA) Election 2008 NewsWatch. Obama’s coverage was more favorable than any other presidential nominee’s coverage since CMPA began tracking TV election news in 1988…
President-elect Barack Obama received 68% positive evaluations on the network evening news shows during the general election. His treatment was twice as favorable as John McCain’s 33% positive and Sarah Palin’s 34% positive evaluations.
ABC and CBS had 68% positive coverage of Obama. NBC gave Obama 73% positive coverage. The networks were similar in the negative coverage of McCain. McCain received only 31% positive coverage on NBC, 33% positive coverage on CBS, and 36% positive coverage on ABC…
On the network newscasts, the Democratic ticket received 91% positive comments about their standing and prospects in the horse race, compared to only 31% positive comments about the Republicans – a margin of 60 percentage points…
And they have the temerity to claim they're not biased.
By the way, the Bears are over-using their rookie running back Forte. Look for him to have a major drop in production next year. They are giving him the "Cadillac Williams" treatment and burning him out.
I agree with everything but that she is "great" now.
She can be great, if she develops a short game.
I've seen her play, I have a better short game than she does at this point in her life, and I'm not a pro.
If she adds that to her long game, she should dominate for a decade unless she gets hurt.
