I just got some of those gift boxes from The Onion - you know, the ones with the fake products? I liked the powerstrip on the rear-view mirror thing...I know someone who will totally fall for it.

I'm seriously more than a little shocked. I thought RS was on Charles' side on this issue. This is very sad to me. RS always seemed to be very precise with his language and arguments. I'm really blown away that he allows such insane racist haters to dominate the discussion and doesn't repudiate them.

Okay, you have three buttons that should say "Refresh", "Description", and "Submit Link". Above that are three drop down menus. One is "Topic", another is "days", and the last is how many links to view. Choose the topic drop down and select which category who want to post in. Hope this helps.

The easiest way to stop this is to select:
Safari > Services > Speech > Stop Speaking

This should all be under the "Safari" menu.

I grew up in the Hills District until is was 30. From 30 'til this year lived in Quakers Hill. Now in Riverstone. For 6 1/2 years up until last years election worked for a local member of parliament. I won't mention him by name but he retired last year (hint)-(same place I grew up).

Born in 1970.
I grew up in the Hills District until is was 30. From 30 'til this year lived in Quakers Hill. Now in Riverstone. For 6 1/2 years up until last years election worked for a local member of parliament. I won't mention him by name but he retired last year (hint)-(same place I grew up).

Some of the blokes in my Rotary club with businesses are cutting staff, except for one bloke who owns a timberyard and makes veneers from expensive wood - the luxury home reno market is still in play!

And my old boss has just picked up a great IT job and she's very happy - lots of travel between NZ and here

I've got no worries - even if I was 90yo and in a walking frame I'd get a job - as an RN :-)

This is weird-it'll let me reply or view a posters avatar, after I click back from front page. But when I initially click reply, or on an avatar-it's "Go Dirctly to Front Page-do not Pass Go"...I can work around it, it's just frustrating.

C. talked to the head at lunch; he then visited the two eighth grade classes, E. apparently gave him what for. He apologized to both.
C. sent us a copy of the email. I kid you not, it looks like something a 30 year old would write. Reasonable, firm, calm, and pissed off. (Wife teaches AP English; she says she has senior students who dont write as well. Heck, I don't think I write that well.)

I am curious about something I heard on the radio this morning. A caller brought up the fact that during WWII the US automakers had stopped production on cars in order to build vehicles for the military. Who is building those things now? The fact that, if needed, the automakers could do this again, is the only argument I have heard in favor of the bailout that actually made sense to me. If it comes down to a matter of national defense then I think you almost have to do it. But, like I said, I don't know who is currently making vehicles for the military.

I would think the technology in today's jets are so advanced that it would be hard for the auto companies to help much in this area. Of course they could build ground vehicles, but I wonder how long it would take for them to set up a production line for something like a M1 - Abrams tank?

Several further thoughts on the Blagojevich fiasco.

1. If you very carefully read Jesse Jackson Jr.'s response/denial, it still does not mean that his Dad, the shake down artist of all shake down artists, was not trying to cook a deal out there for his kid. Jesse Jackson Sr. has been amazingly quiet on all this.

2. Blago's Deputy Governor Bob Greenly, resigned yesterday. He was identified in the Federal Complaint as one of the people shaking down the Chicago Tribune to get an editor fired.

3. Speaking of the Chicago Tribune situation, the MSM has been amazingly quiet about the specific fact that an elected politician was attempting to intimidate and shake down a member of the media. The same guy they have a real hard time figuring out is a Democrat. If this had been a Republican trying to intimidate the media, you know it would have lead the news every 10 minutes.

4. Obama will have another press conference today introducing his Czar for health care. Look for the MSM to go into all out protection mode of The Messiah related to the Blago mess. There will be no questions about Obama's strong support of Blago over the years, his endorsement and campaigning for him.

By the time the MSM will get done rehabbing this for Obama, Obama will have never met the man, and will hardly remember even hearing about him.

When Obama said that Blago should step down, that was a clear signal to the left that Blago is on his own and it's time to cut him loose from the tribe.
