Obama Team Circling the Wagons

When even Associated Press partisan hack Nedra Pickler is grousing about the stonewalling, you have a problem: Obama aides won’t discuss Ill. governor probe.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama is refusing to answer any questions about the internal review he has ordered into Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s alleged efforts to sell his former Senate seat, saying he will do so when the examination is finished.

Obama’s staff has declined to respond to even basic questions, like who is conducting the probe, how long it will take, what issues are being explored and whether they are working with federal investigators. Obama has promised transparency throughout his service and to divulge contacts his staff has had with Blagojevich’s office in the coming days. But his staff has locked down on inquiries in the meantime.

The Obama transition team’s refusal to talk has contributed to a maelstrom around Obama’s incoming White House chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, a Chicago congressman likely to have been in contact with the governor, who was arrested this week in a corruption scandal. But Emanuel is not a target of the probe, according to people who have been briefed on the investigation.

The two people spoke on a condition of anonymity because the criminal investigation is ongoing. One is a person close to Emanuel, who said he has been told by investigators that he’s not a subject of their probe.

Asked if any conversations between Emanuel and Blagojevich were captured on government wiretaps, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said, “I honestly don’t know.” Other transition officials refused to respond to inquiries.

If this is any kind of indication, we can expect the Obama administration to be the most scandal ridden administration since. . . hell, since Clinton!

Yes, of COURSE I'm suddenly thinking of one of the early scenes in Blazing Saddles.

And in a perverse way- I'm looking forward to it.

I don't know why the press is surprised by the lack of communicativeness on the part of the 0bama team. You would think after the stonewalling they got at the hands of the clinton administration, it would be an comfortable, old shoe to them.

Hi Walter - ya know I'd lay odds that there's a coverup and that what is being covered up isn't as bad as the coverup itself.
Sorta like Nixon - if he'd been honest from the jump about Watergate I doubt if there'd been impeachment hearings (course, then he wouldn't have been Nixon) but I think it's WAAAY premature to talk about impeachment or anything like that concerning Obama.

Moratorium issued on Capitol displays, exhibits

There will be no new displays put up at the state Capitol, at least for now.

On Friday the Department of General Administration declared a moratorium for exhibits and displays in the Legislative Building.

As a result, all pending applications - including one for a Festivus pole - an homage to the made-up holiday featured in the comedy series "Seinfeld" - have been put on hold until the department completes a review of the current policy for exhibits and displays in the Legislative Building.

Wire taps are like lobster pots, you never know what you're going to pull out of them.

re: #39 Cognito

I think what must have happened is that Rahm realized that something illegal had transpired during the conversation and the only way he could cover his *ss was to dime out Blago to the feds before Blago did the same to him.

And if that is the case I'm sure that Rahm's version of the conversation was tailored to make him look innocent.

And further, if there was a wiretap unbeknownst to Rahm that captured the actual conversation and proved that he had, shall we say, fibbed to federal agents... well that would explain a lot of what we're seeing now.

Of course, as Dennis Miller used to say: "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

Ok, first off, no one here is saying Obama is covering up anything. Currently there is no proof of that, nor has anyone leak enough information to make that supposition.

The is evidence so far that there may have been some contract from Bloggo to someone on Obama's staff. That's all we have.

And who gives a fuck what France and Tehran think about this right now?

It will "help repair our image" because Our Messiah-King will be perceived as just as much of an incompetent boob as Clinton.

It will "help repair out image" because Our Messiah-King will be too involved in fighting for His political life and freedom to be looking to anything else, like protecting Americans and American interests allowing the rest of the world to do some dominating for a change.

Personally, and this is just my opinion, having him run for president wasn't good for them. They have seen little of him for the last two years, and will see less of him than they might otherwise for the next two years. Their lives will be conscripted by their security needs, and they will be "the president's daughter," for years, if not forever.

Yep, iirc you are correct. All we know is that a raging mad Blago - using the "colorful" language he was apparently know for - was bitching and moaning that he wasn't getting anything out of his appoitment of someone to Obama's senate seat.

But - assuming Blago's ravings on the wiretap are true, it would appear that SOMEONE acting or thinking they were acting, on Obama's behalf turned him down cold.
The real question is, if this is true, who was it that turned Blago down on Obama's behalf?

Emanuel's refusal to answer reporters' questions about the Blagojevich scandal should not be construed as incriminating him. If you were a potential witness in a criminal case and Patrick Fitzgerald told you not to discuss it publicly, chances are you'd do as you were told.

Apart from that... It's become evident that Obama is no student of history. You would have thought that he'd remember Watergate.

re: #39 Cognito

Gosh, man, that's a huge amount of supposition, there.

First of all, this -- "...Rahm realized that something illegal had transpired during the conversation and the only way he could cover his *ss was to dime out Blago to the feds" -- isn't a bad thing. It's just going to the authorities, which he should have done.

Second, there's nothing at all, that I'm aware of, that indicates any illegal or corrupt activity on Obama's or his staff's part.

Could still be there, of course. The truth shall out!

re: #89 CIA Reject

It would take 96 electors to put 0bama below the 270 mark needed, so even with 50 faithless electors, 0bama would still be president.

Also, the only person who could benefit enough from those 96 votes to become president would be John McCain.

Oh yeah, the hubris of this crowd he's assembled almost equals Obama's own. But I think Emmanuel is too clever by half to have done something as stupid as discussing or even just turning down a quid pro quo for Obama's Senate seat on the telephone.
Still - if no one in Obama's crowd of pretenders KNEW Blago was being tapped, who knows?
I think that maybe the real answer here is just that they acted the way they did when it was JUST the Chicago Machine involved - and then ran to Fitz to "report" the conversation when someone realized that they'd broken the law.
Or they knew Blago was tapped before Emmanuel had his conversation with him - now THAT would be an illegal scandal worthy of Obama!

"if they vote for BO and then he drops dead before the votes are counted McCain wins. Any way you look Joe Biden get to be Veep." isn't true - at least I don't think so anyway - it was Obama and Biden that folks voted for and McCain and Palin that other, smarter,folks voted for. No one voted seperately for Obama or McCain. If Obama should die before the voters elect, they may still elect Obama/Biden in which case Biden would be POTUS.

Classic gangsterism. The natural evolution of all governments. We thought democracy was the exception to this rule, but unfortunately it is proving not. The Founding Fathers had hoped so, and built in many checks and balances. I have told many people I do not vote Republican because I like them, I vote for them because it is as close to the best thing we can get in this system. The government should not just be the representative of the people, it should be the SLAVE of the people. Small, efficient, responsive, fearful.

I was talking about the scandal of having say 50 or so electors refuse to vote for him because of this Blago mess - just the "noise" it would make. Of course they're gonna say Obama, but your statement that:
"if they vote for BO and then he drops dead before the votes are counted McCain wins. Any way you look Joe Biden get to be Veep." isn't true - at least I don't think so anyway - it was Obama and Biden that folks voted for and McCain and Palin that other, smarter,folks voted for. No one voted seperately for Obama or McCain. If Obama should die before the voters elect, they may still elect Obama/Biden in which case Biden would be POTUS.

Nope, since the 12th Amendment there are separate votes by the Electors for the two offices. It is meant to have them from the same party but if one is disqualified or dies the other still can serve.

And Blagojevich knew this how? Because someone with authority to speak for Obama told him. So Obama must have known his seat was being sold and therefore knew an illegal act was being committed. But hell, that's the Chicago Way.

Not necessarily. There are a number of ways such a thing could go down, and the one you've described is certainly possible, but not certain. Blagojevich could have sensed early in the process that the Obama camp didn't give a flip about his hopes and dreams.

If it is as you described -- that Obama's camp knew about something illegal and didn't raise the alarm -- well, that would be something special. Should be interesting, either way.

That's very true.

My dig on Truman is he started the "let's not win this war" habit in Korean.

To be truthful, the post-WWII demobilization left a skeleton crew in the military. The Army in 1950, apart from the army of occupation in Germany, would have been hard put to conquer a PTA meeting, much less the Chinese.

When Korea went down, Truman had to play with the cards in his hand. Unfortunately, he had aces and eights.

Incidentally, it is to the regret of any longtime fan of the Red Sox that a Marine pilot named Theodore Williams was recalled to active duty.

Absolutely Kilmer's best role.
My dad graduated from Tombstone High School a few years before Pearl Harbor. Some of the "old men" - over say 68 or 70 had actually seen the shoot-out at the OK Corral (which wasn't at the OK Corral to begin with) and they told my Dad and my Grandad that they all thought Doc Holliday was a psychopath - puny physically from the TB, unable to practice dentistry cause he kept coughing up blood all over his patients and took up gambling (a repectable profession in those days) and learned gunfighting to protect himself cause he WAS puny - turned out to be a very good gambler and a great gunfighter and did drink up to three quarts of booze a day because of the pain he was in. All in all a nasty piece of work, but he and your namesake were indeed very good friends.

You say you'll "Think about it." and run as fast as your furry feet can take you to your boss. Rahm may have been trained by professionals. But I suspect he is on tape and was slow to get to Fitzpatrick or it was planned by Obama Daley &Rezko fo shaft Blago. Even if so then it just shows that Obama and company are slippery characters that helped set Blago up, no one can trust them, not even crooks.

Check my earlier post on what James Taranto said. It's entirely possible that he did beat feet to the Feds after he was offered the bribe -- if Fitzgerald told him to stonewall, a prudent person would stonewall. One does not thwart a US Attorney lightly.

My biggest complaint, is the failure to pursue and interdict supply lines into China. China had manpower but no hardware, and even their manpower was no match.

re: #307 FurryOldGuyJeans

Of course that would be mean-spirited. Now hoping for freezing rain and sub-zero temps wouldn't be. ;)

Mean spirited would be, "Hey, Mr. 0bama, why don't you give a 2-hour inaugural speech outdoors in Washington without wearing a coat? It would prove how tough you are. Or, are you wimpier than William Henry Harrison?"

Check my earlier post on what James Taranto said. It's entirely possible that he did beat feet to the Feds after he was offered the bribe -- if Fitzgerald told him to stonewall, a prudent person would stonewall. One does not thwart a US Attorney lightly.

Agreed, looking at all angles, still think that Blago was fed to Fitzpatrick to protect Obama by Rezko.

where Obama really scares me on the issue is that he's been kind of kicking around the idea of unilateral nuclear disarmament. Nothing good can come of that. Deterrance may not be 100% effective against the Iranians, but appeasement is nothing short of disaster. Feeding the tiger in the hopes that it will eat you last isn't a long term strategy for anything other than failure and defeat.

At a poker table you only have to be able to shoot straight for maybe 7 feet; in the real gunfight at the OK Corral (which was really held in an alleyway off Allen Street) there were 9 experienced gunfighters facing off in an alleyway that measured something like 30 feet by 50 feet long and out of the 38 or so shots, 3 men were killed and two wounded. After several rounds were fired,no one could see because of the black smoke from the black poweder weapons they used. We are parched. Looks like year 3 of a drought. Way behind normal rainfall. Between the money crisis and the lack of rain, California is beset with turmoil. I am halfway expecting clouds of locusts any day now.

It should be interesting this next week.

Issued by The National Weather Service
San Diego, CA
8:50 pm PST, Fri., Dec. 12, 2008

... COLD AND RAINY WEATHER PATTERN FOR SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...

A DEEP LOW PRESSURE TROUGH DEVELOPING OVER THE WEST WILL SEND A SERIES OF WEATHER SYSTEMS INTO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA NEXT WEEK... BRINGING PERIODS OF RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW AT TIMES.

THE FIRST CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION WILL BE THIS WEEKEND AS THE MARINE LAYER RAPIDLY DEEPENS... THOUGH MOST RAINFALL AMOUNTS SHOULD BE LESS THAN ONE-QUARTER INCH. MORE SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED MONDAY WHEN A STRONG WAVE ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH THE AREA. ANOTHER WAVE COULD BRING MORE PRECIPITATION TUESDAY NIGHT OR WEDNESDAY. GIVEN THE MOIST PATTERN... SHOWERS COULD OCCUR AT ALMOST ANYTIME NEXT WEEK. THE WEATHER WILL ALSO BE MUCH COOLER THAN DURING RECENT WEEKS.

PRELIMINARY RAINFALL ESTIMATES THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK RANGE FROM ABOUT ONE TO TWO INCHES WEST OF THE MOUNTAINS... TWO TO FOUR INCHES ON THE WEST FACING MOUNTAIN SLOPES AND A HALF-INCH TO ONE INCH IN THE DESERTS. HOWEVER... IN ANY OF THESE AREAS... LOCALLY HEAVIER RAINFALL COULD OCCUR.

SNOW LEVELS WILL START OUT ABOVE 7000 FEET SATURDAY AND THEN GRADUALLY LOWER TO 4000 TO 5000 FEET BY MONDAY. SNOW LEVELS BETWEEN 4000 AND 5000 FEET WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THURSDAY... THOUGH IT COULD GET LOCALLY LOWER... ESPECIALLY TUESDAY NIGHT OR WEDNESDAY. THERE COULD BE ONE TO TWO FEET OF SNOW AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SAN BERNARDINO AND RIVERSIDE COUNTY MOUNTAINS WITH UP TO ONE FOOT IN HIGHER PARTS OF THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY MOUNTAINS. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW COULD FALL ON THE PEAKS OF THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS. SNOW... BLOWING SNOW AND DENSE FOG WILL MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS DURING THIS PERIOD.

PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN WILL INCREASE THE FLASH FLOOD POTENTIAL. RESIDENTS LIVING IN AND BELOW RECENTLY BURNED AREAS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING AND DEBRIS FLOW. PEOPLE PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD MONITOR THE LATEST WEATHER FORECASTS.

It's not going to be fun in the burn areas around OC...

So the Obama position is that while Blagojevich wanted an indication from the President-elect's staff that some goodies were heading his way, the forces of light turned him down cold. However, are we suppose to believe that it has taken them days and days to find out exactly who this paragon of virtue was? Rest assured, if that was the entire case, they'd be shouting his name from the roof-tops as an example of the new politics to be expected under the reign of Hope-N-Change.

No- I forgot to add "perverse" again. If this is what we're stuck with, then I'm going to try to find the "enjoyment". And lets face it, who doesn't love a juicy scandal?

At my age, I can ill afford 8 years of The One! ;)

And he isn't even President yet, and we are in the middle of stuff that we would not expect until he was in office for, oh, about 6 months.

On the serious side, President Bush was in office not even 9 months when 9/11 happened, and he handled it so well. A 3 AM phone call to Husein? He would be cowering under the bed, in an industrial-sized pair of Depends™, while Michelle told the person on the other end to not dare call again at that hour.

Mrs. Bush made a lot of unannounced visits to NYC, where she would go to public schools near the area, and visit the kids, who were justifiably traumatized, and read to them.

President Bush also came here, and he was just an ordinary guy, talking to the First Responders and the workers on the site.

I pray that there will never, ever be an event like 9/11 again, and that Hussein will be recognized by those who voted for him for what he is, regret what is possibly the worst mistake of their lives, and vote Republican in droves, so that Hussein and his sycophants will be out of office, and unelectable.

I have a feeling that there is already a lot of buyers' remorse from those who blindly bought his ethereal, empty scenario, that he was blowing out his a*s all along.

And where are his papers from Harvard and from Columbia? He got away with it, because no one except the blogs made a fuss. The MSM was in his pocket, and now, we see articles that show there are now doubts about his ability to be President...a day late and a dollar shot.

Yes, I really am that disgusted, and I wish this was just a nightmare that I will wake up from in the AM...but it is not, and I cry for every child and their future that he will do his best to destroy. He can no more fix the economy than I could, that Carter and Bubba created. *spit*...and our kids and grandkids will not know the America we grew up in. There is not one member of his gang that is fit to hold office, not a one.

G-d bless America..we really need it now so much.

I didn't expect to go on a rant, but I have a feeling that I am not the only one who feels this way.

Sorry, {Sharm}! I had better get off this computer and try to sleep. As we get nearer to Inauguration Day, I am only more worried for all of us, and so far have not seen anything to cheer me up, damn it.

That where the bulk of combat handgun training takes place short range. Speed is critical. In LE you train to be reactive. Controlling a situation, so you don't have to react is a deferent set of skills.

The training I went through was to draw, snap shoot two pointed rounds, and third aimed, in 2 seconds. Again and again until the reaction was completely automatic and smooth, allow the brain to hand the threat assessment, and decision, not the details of the mechanics of shooting.

It occurs to me that 2 Lizards have taken names of legendary Western characters, one was on deck not long ago, the other I have not seen in several days. The real persons are buried in Colma, CA. within a short distance of each other.

Who can name them?

The original Wyatt Earp was a boxing referee later in life. IIRC he died in CA.

I'll disagree with you on that one. You can't miss fast enough to catch up with yourself. The only rounds that count are the ones that hit. You'd be surprised at how long a second can be. Taking a fraction of it to actually aim can save your life. Or take the other fellow's.

At 3 yards anything you get off should hit, 2 to the body 1 to the head under 4 seconds.

We can certainly hope. We've been hearing that the Iranian people are fed up with the Mullahs now for the better part of a decade and nothing concrete has came of it. I'd certainly rather that the Iranians took out their own trash, but I'm not really expecting it. It would have been nice if Rommel et al had been able to pull off assassinating Hitler, too, but it didn't work out that way.

Hitler couldn't be successfully assassinated without Tom Cruise.

re: #393 gmsc

Do you remember who "Old 880" was?

re: #409 lifeofthemind

You win

He was an old counterfeiter who drove the Secret Service nuts for years! His file was "#880", which is all they ever knew him as for years.

Now, most counterfeiters work in 100s and 50s, but this guy only made 1s and 5s, and he would never spend more than 1 or 2 of them in any one place - ever! If a counterfeit bill showed up at say, "Fred's General Store", the Secret Service knew that they would never see one spent there ever again.

Also, the counterfeits weren't that good. If you looked at the bills themselves, there were glaring errors, such as Washington's name being spelled "Wassington" and the portraits were often cross-eyed! Nobody ever looked at the bills that closely, though, because they were small bills and he never spent them in more than one place.

After almost 3 full decades (and amassing less than $400 in fake money), they finally caught him only because they happened to be asking question in a store where these counterfeits had never shown up, and "old 880" happened to be spending a bill there right at that moment!

They took him in for questioning, and discovered that he was an old man on a fixed income, and he didn't counterfeit out of greed (part of what made him so hard to catch), and just made extra money when he only really needed it. He even felt bad about passing the notes, which is why he had the policy of never spending the bills in more than one place.

Ultimately, they let him go and promised not to file any charges as long as not another bill of his showed up. They did confiscate his equipment, however. Keep in mind that, when he caught them, he hadn't forged that much money, and he was quite old. Anything over a year or two would basically be a life sentence for this man.

Disney even made a movie about it in 1950, called "Mister 880".

The amatuerish handling of what ought to be a very minor issue from the Obama camp's perspective is alarming, to say the least. Is this an indication of how Obama and his team are going to address issues of national importance?

When the press was badgering Emanuel during his kid's concert, I was willing to cut the guy some slack - it isn't a story that's going to suffer from a couple hours delay.

But now...things are not looking good here.

And it's sounding more and more like Blago is getting ready to throw in the towel, and he'll be singing the whole time. Not that I trust anything he has to say - unless it's backed up by the very extensive tapes the FBI has accumulated, that is.

That Historic Moment at the Inauguration Obama and his supporters were hoping for is certainly taking on a stain at the moment.

460 SixDegrees  Sat, Dec 13, 2008 3:48:23am

I'm inclined to agree with this. I doubt that any scandal comes anywhere close to Obama.

His chief of staff is not looking too clean right now, though. I suspect he may have met with Blago, got hit up for a bribe - someone obviously did, given Blago's tantrum over the issue - and then failed to report it. This, in itself, is a crime as far as I know. So Emanuel may find himself out of a job, and possibly facing charges.

461 SixDegrees  Sat, Dec 13, 2008 3:54:56am

re: #242 Rancher

And Blagojevich knew this how? Because someone with authority to speak for Obama told him. So Obama must have known his seat was being sold and therefore knew an illegal act was being committed. But hell, that's the Chicago Way.

Way too much supposition here, and impossible to prove even if true. Without actual evidence of Obama's direct knowledge, Emanuel can fall on his sword and that's the end of it.

And it's also possible that everyone on the Obama team actually did the right thing - refused any solicitation of a bribe, and reported the transgression to the authorities. There's just not enough information available yet.

In any case, and as I've said for the last few days, I'm willing to wait. Behavior like Emanuel's - attempting to stonewall the press, and throwing temper tantrums at them - is like throwing chum in the water. The media may have a liberal bias, but their job is to sell newspapers and advertising, and this story has grown legs. They'll be all over Emanuel like Oprah on a ham.

462 bill-tb  Sat, Dec 13, 2008 5:09:08am

Well we now know a few things, not the least of which is Obama looks into the camera and well, you know, he lies. Successive press conferences have showed how the previous presser was inoperative.

The second thing is Obama is nowhere near as good at lying as BJ was.

Past that, it would appear the pay to play administration intends to keep it that way. Starting with bribing the enviro-nutjobs by taxing everything carbon. Next in line, the UAW ... Just keep that money coming, right over there, pay the man behind the counter, need to raise a billion this time.

466 bartok1001  Sat, Dec 13, 2008 5:55:50am

This scandal may actually be the best thing for Obama in the long run.

Why?

Right now, Obama owes many markers to his constituents in Chicago for helping him get to the presidency. Sure, he could tell them all to sod off, but the game of politics doesn't work that way. Part of me thinks the reason why he didn't appoint members of the wacky left to his cabinet, etc., is because of the chits that he owes. Sure, the politicians in Illinois are corrupt, but they don't read Saul Alinsky (maybe they are illiterate).

Now the political scandal breaks in Illinois, where Obama's relationships with the people there will be under scrutiny. Before the scandal, Obama would have had to act on any favors that were called in. Now, Obama can tell any party, I can't help you right now because it would look bad for both me and you.

QED - Obama now has a perfect cover for not having to pay back the people in the Chicago machine with favors, and Obama can proceed with his "change" policies.

There are way too many voters totally pissed about this latest bailout that its passage will take a more than usual soul searching for the boys in the DC hood to vote for it...too many folks back home are contacting their reps in anger over this one for it to sail through smoothly or quickly.
I hear on good authority that the latest UAW concession that will sway the vote their way by next week is the Unions promise to Congress to cut the members use of Viagra by 50% starting in 2011 which of course will greatly reduce Insurance costs for the big three. They also have agreed to cut their daily lunch breaks from 2 hours down to 1. But, the real plumb-of-a-kicker is that the UAW bosses have made a pledge to end their mandate to their flock against voting for any non-Democratic candidate running for national office. In short, they can after 2011 vote for whomever they please including Republicans and Independents. Congressional Democrats have not been advised of this concession as of this typing. So, who knows for sure.

Blagojevich and his wife, Patti, make somewhere between $200,000 and $350,000/year, combined, depending on how well Patti does in her real estate brokerage business. Since the market’s been tanking, Patti’s been bringing in much less lately, so hence the financial strain in the Blagojevich household. Thus far, Blagojevich had been unsuccessful in setting up arrangements like the Obamas enjoyed, where Michelle sat on corporate boards to collect tens of thousands of dollars a year in corporate thank-yous that could not legally go to her husband, but easily went to the wife.

All that Team Obama has to do is to keep the lid from blowing off this thing until Jan 20th, when he is sworn into office. Then, he can sign full pardons for everybody involved including Blago... for the good of the country, of course.

Q: What is the difference between Governor Blagojevich and "son of a bitch"?

A: One is an obscenity, the other is something I say when I've hit my thumb with a hammer.

Instructions:
Pick one...any one:

This is not the Rahm Emanuel...
I thought I knew;
I knew I knew;
I used to think I knew;
I didn't know I knew;
I may not have known;
I probably didn't know;
I definitely do not know;
I haven't talked to in ages;
I wouldn't know him from Adam;
who is he?;
what's his name?;
I don't know what I know;
I don't know if I know;
...sometimes I think well, and then again most times I don't think so good at all;
Rom who?;
Emanuel is his, is he a 'he', first name or last name?;
did he attend my church...if so, I wasn't there, you know and if I was I wasn't listening or even looking...I had my eyes and ears closed if I was there...at church...was he there...at church...who are we talking about again?;
who's driving this bus, anywho?

Could this be the beginning of "Obamagate?" Obama hasn't entered the White House and already scandals and denials are already popping up on the radar.

"Ok, first off, no one here is saying Obama is covering up anything."
