Five of the Muslims involved in the Fort Dix terrorism plot (which was discovered when one of the jihadis tried to have a terror training videotape transferred to DVD) have been convicted.

CAMDEN, N.J. – Five Muslim immigrants were convicted Monday of plotting to massacre U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix in a case the government said demonstrated its post-Sept. 11 determination to stop terrorist attacks in the planning stages.

The defendants were acquitted of attempted murder charges but face life in prison for conspiring to kill military personnel. The federal jury spent about 38 hours deliberating over the past six days.

Terr-or, Terrorist goodbye,
Terr-or, Terrorist, don't cry.
You should have stuck to taxis and mini-marts
Not splodeydoping or lame terrorist plots
You’ve got no where to go

So tuck your tail,
your plans have failed,
if you received this verdict
then your rotting in jail.
Terr-or, Terrorist goodbye,

As lawhawk said on the previous thread, we owe this to an observant Circuit City clerk who did the right thing. I think the average alert citizen is our best defense against terror on U.S. soil. The "authorities" are so brainwashed by political correctness, they wouldn't know a threat if it slapped them in the face.

Article about similarities of terrorist organisations. It brings nothing new about subject but thought I'd post it just in case anybody was interested :

[Link: www.guardian.co.uk...]

"There is a huge gulf between the violent militants Eta and those belonging to radical Muslim groups in their methods and aims.

Eta's attacks, though murderous, kill on nothing like the scale of many Islamic militant attacks. Eta's attacks are carefully calibrated expressions of power and part of a sometimes chaotic but nonetheless coherent ideologically based political programme with evident and consistently explained, if evolving, aims. They do not involve the suicide of participants, either – rather the opposite. Eta also has a well-organised political wing, espousing what is purported to be a non-violent democratic strategy that acts in concert with those practising violence.

Yet in terms of how extremist movements work on the ground, there are some broad similarities that are worth noting if only to throw the deep differences into relief. Many of these are common to all sorts of radical groups, violent or not, as well as sects and similar organisations.

First, there is a broad cultural and historical hinterland. The militants do not function in isolation but are embedded within social, political or cultural activism of a broad movement. They are a minority and, in many ways, see themselves as an elite vanguard, revolutionary or religious. For Eta, this hinterland is the Basque National Liberation Movement.

Second, there is the role played by small-group dynamics. One of the most extraordinary episodes in Islamic militancy of recent years involved the effective mass suicide of almost an entire football team in a completely hopeless attack on army and police positions in southern Thailand. In the Basque country, many militants grew up together, playing football or mountaineering.

Personal networks are hugely important in recruiting. Islamic militant cells, especially in Europe, have often used outdoor adventure activities to bring otherwise disparate individuals together. As one British security source said last year: "That moment when someone takes someone else's rucksack because they are exhausted is worth a decade of indoctrination in terms of preparing a group for violent action."

Third, although Eta sympathisers insist there is no religious connotation to the images of dead or imprisoned militants in the nationalist bars, they comprise nonetheless a pantheon of "martyrs'" Their stories – or their "sacrifice" – not only inspires aspirant militants with the prospect of joining these hallowed ranks in the event of capture or death but also legitimises "the struggle" by providing evidence of what is seen as the violent repression of the faceless enemy, the Spanish state.

There is also the sense of lives given in a defensive struggle against an overwhelming faceless force, which not only justifies the continuing fight but dehumanises the enemy. Despite Eta's secular nature, the strong local Catholic traditions with its own martyrs may have some influence here, too – as they did in Ireland.

Another point common to many militant groups is a particularly style of dressing. Militant Islamic groups have evolved – especially in the west – a form of "jihadi chic" which has nothing much to do with local dress in the Arab world, south Asia or the far east and a lot to do with a globalised idea of what an Islamic militant should look like..."

Bush Insider Who Planned To Tell All Killed In Plane Crash

Michael Connell, the Bush IT expert who has been directly implicated in the rigging of George Bush’s 2000 and 2004 elections, was killed last night when his single engine plane crashed three miles short of the Akron airport. Velvet Revolution (“VR”), a non-profit that has been investigating Mr. Connell’s activities for the past two years, can now reveal that a person close to Mr. Connell More..has recently been discussing with a VR investigator how to tell all about his work for George Bush. Mr. Connell told a close associate that he was afraid that the George Bush and Dick Cheney would “throw [him] under the bus.”

A tipster close to the McCain campaign disclosed to VR in July that Mr. Connell’s life was in jeopardy and that Karl Rove had threatened him and his wife, Heather. VR’s attorney, Cliff Arnebeck, notified the United States Attorney General , Ohio law enforcement and the federal court about these threats and insisted that Mr. Connell be placed in protective custody. VR also told a close associate of Mr. Connell’s not to fly his plane because of another tip that the plane could be sabatoged. Mr. Connell, a very experienced pilot, has had to abandon at least two flights in the past two months because of suspicious problems with his plane. On December 18, 2008, Mr. Connell flew to a small airport outside of Washington DC to meet some people. It was on his return flight the next day that he crashed.

On October 31, Mr. Connell appeared before a federal judge in Ohio after being subpoenaed in a federal lawsuit investigating the rigging of the 2004 election under the direction of Karl Rove. The judge ordered Mr. Connell to testify under oath at a deposition on November 3rd, the day before the presidential election. Velvet Revolution received confidential information that the White House was extremely concerned about Mr. Connell talking about his illegal work for the White House and two Bush/Cheney 04 attorneys were dispatched to represent him.

An associate of Mr. Connell’s told VR that Mr. Connell was involved with the destruction of the White House emails and the setting up of the off-grid White House email system.

Mr. Connell handled all of John McCain’s computer work in the recent presidential campaign. VR has received direct evidence that the McCain campaign kept abreast of the legal developments against Mr. Connell by reading the VR dedicated website, [Link: www.rovecybergate.com...]

My repost from the last thread -

I am not prone to emotionality, but I find myself very emotional about the Fort Dix convictions of these terrorist predators. I have served as a USO volunteer for several years feeding the troops as they leave for the "sandbox" through McGuire Airforce base and upon their arrival back through Fort Dix.

They arrive by the hundreds covered in sand, faces weary, carrying their weapons. Many of them are older, reservists, dentists, doctors, engineers teachers; some are young enough to be my own children. I especially marvel at the young blonde-haired girls who would look more at home on a sunny beach than in camo - and carrying a weapon almost 1/2 their size.

Thank God for President Bush and VP Cheney and their unrelenting commitment to keeping us safe. God bless the young clerk who said after viewing the terrorists video, "WTF" and then had the courage to act like a REAL AMERICAN and get involved although doing so would risk his safety.

This is so damn close to home - I'm in a bit of shock to tell the truth. And a special FU to Bill Ayers whose team of geniuses also attempted to bomb a dance at Fort Dix - he rightly belongs in prison, too.

It took nearly a week to convict them. Can you imagine what a jury would have done to John Law if they'd busted Mohammed Atta and his boys before 9-11? They'd probably have to give Atta some kind of little settlement. I'm thinking Manhatten would probably do.

They found them not guilty on the attempted murder charges, but guilty on the conspiracy. They still face life in prison, and I'd rather the jury take the time and get the right verdict by going through all the related charges than the alternative.

Guaranteeing them a death that ensures they go straight to hell regardless of their dedication to Allah is the only way to prevent them from engaging in jihad.

Bush Insider Who Planned To Tell All Killed In Plane Crash

Guys.

They're on to us.

Password: Birds fly east in the winter.

See you at the rendez-vous point.

Godspeed.

Roger that.
On KOA (Denver AM) radio this morning I heard that the plane accident/incident a couple nights ago was probably due to brake problems.
The investigators said it would take time, but the cause problem appeared to be either due to a brake locking up on takeoff (slowing the plane down too much), or a brake failure when the takeoff attempt was aborted.

In any case, they are concerned about contacting the passengers on the flight because of the worry that the incident will fade from the passengers' memories.
The plane slid into a 40-foot deep ditch, and the whole side of the plane caught fire. 18 people injured, 2 critically, last I heard.
Crew evacuated all persons on board in about 90 seconds -- before the fire/rescue trucks could even arrive on scene, the way things are supposed to work for a pleasant change.

I know I'd certainly forget something that minor quickly ...

Found this article:

[Link: www.jihadica.com...]

"That’s the title of a post last week by Faloja member `Umar `Abd al-Hakim in Syria. `Umar believes that Jihadis have successfully penetrated Youtube and it’s now time to more directly market their materials to the masses. To this end, he gives an overview of Facebook and why it will be useful for Jihadi propagandists. To get the ball rolling, `Umar and others announced a campaign yesterday, “Aid Invasion2″ (Ghazwat al-Nusra2). Below is a summary of `Umar’s introductory post, followed by the announcement of the campaign.

Note that the Facebook invaders believe the propaganda front is outside of the Jihadi forums, a point I have made repeatedly. Moreover, this is not an attempt to replicate the social networks that exist on the forums; the members of the campaign want to exploit existing networks of people who are hostile to them and presumably they will adopt new identities once they have posted their material. Additionally, `Umar believes this is a solution to the recent closure of prominent Jihadi forums and channels of media distribution. Finally, the structure of the Nusra2 campaign organization is interesting: compartmentalized and hierarchical.`Umar’s “Raiding Facebook: Theory and Practice”:

* We have already had great success in raiding Youtube.
* American politicians have used Facebook to get votes, like the house slave Obama.
* Anyone can join and you can reach millions of people. The April 6 youth are a good example of this.
* I am writing this because supporters of jihad don’t know how to use Facebook to reach Americans or Muslims.
* Don’t worry about security as long as you don’t disclose your personal info and you use new email addresses to subscribe.
* A large number of people in the Arab world are using Facebook.
* We can use Facebook to fight the media attack on Jihadi media and the forums. We can post media on Facebook that shows the Crusader losses.
* Since Facebook is so widespread, we need to use it.
* By using Facebook, we can move from the forums and engage common people and Americans themselves to show them the reality of their losses, which are being concealed by their media.
* One of the goals of invading Facebook is to “move away from elite society (the forums and the Jihadi websites) to Muslims in general and participate and interact with them.” [parenthetical comments are `Umar's]
* The brothers should immediately start to build their expertise in using Facebook.
* I’ve called this campaign “Ghazwat al-Nusra2″ (Aid Invasion2) because we are aiding our brothers on the forums: Hesbah, Firdaws, Boraq, and Ekhlaas.

`Umar then provides a series of detailed instructions on how to sign up for Facebook.

Yesterday’s announcement of the structure of the campaign follows:

There are seven brigades, each headed by a commander.

1. Sharia Brigade: spreads Salafi-Jiahdi doctrine and responding to doubts planted by erring people to misguide Muslim youth. It will distribute articles and audio messages from Salafi-Jihadi scholars.
2. Media and Planning Brigade: distributes Jihadi media files and incitement plans
3. Statements Brigade: posts Jihadi statements
4. Preparation Brigade: distributes military training material
5. Security Brigade: distributes security info required for Jihadi media and also security courses
6. English Media Brigade: posts Jihadi media and statements in English
7. Martyrs and Prisoners Brigade: distributes bios, writings, and videos of martyrs. Also material on prisoners

Each brigade will establish a special group that is secret and not known to the other brigades. There is no contact between any of the brigades. Each brigade will have eight members, who will each participate in at least two groups. ...

There should be a liability for this type of slander. Despite the good news of this thread I think our legal system is seriously broken.

I'm thinking the same thing. I try not to be a cynic, but with what's been happening recently, and what I've been reading about the plans of the incoming administration, I think JFK's quote may need to be updated:

Ask not what your country can do for you;

Ask what your country can do to you.

I do not disagree that intolerance is a sin, but to say it is the greatest sin is shallow. If I had a choice of someone living next and thinking I was inferior, or leaving flyers on my door telling me I'm going to hell, or living next door and trying to hurt my children...bring on the flyers.

I think intolerance is one of those "fuzzy" words liberals like to hide behind for use in justifying any perversion or immorality for which they wish not to be condemned.

There are a good many things we should never be tolerant of...murder, thievery, child abuse, lying, rape, cheating...

All of these can be couched in cultural contexts to hide their true nature and then forced into acceptance via "tolerance".

There are a lot of acts which I will not tolerate nor which will I accept as "normal" in a different culture and therefore to be tolerated in mine.
