Not all, obviously. But there is a strong virulent thread of anti-semitism running through much of what passes for African-American studies and African-American activism in this country. Of course no one wants to point this out (although Zombie has done so) because it might make some African Americans appear -- oh, I don't know -- raaacist.

But it is definitely there. Many, many professors of this ilk indoctrinate generations of college students into the notion that Jews were kingpins in the slave trade and that Jews still run the country and are trying to keep them down. Pure Nazi claptrap, 21st century style.

The take-home message is that Dan Rather has fallen so low, so fast that he now will record promo announcements for any show that will have him, no matter how insane the show is. He obviously never bothers to even check them out! Just hand him a microphone, and he'll do a promo announcement for anybody. He is just so desperate to be on air, and to have his voice heard, that he'll stoop to any depths.

Anybody here heard of the show ZOS: Zone of Separation?

It is a Canadian TMN television series (The Movie Network -- Canada's own version of HBO). It is set in a fictional Bosnia, in which there is a UN-monitored "Zone of Separation" between the Christian and Muslim populations.

I cannot find a lot of information on which direction they intend to take this show... but it looks very promising. It's supposed to show the "stress" of being an "unarmed" UN Monitor in an extremely hostile conflict. They will also show "armed" UN soldiers... I'm watching the first sneak peak first episode, I'll report back afterwards.

I made a comment that there ought to be an "identity" or name for non-religious conservatives, and a place for them to meet. And that Republicans as a whole might get more votes if they made a bigger tent to include non-religious voters. Immediately, on the same thread, some people (for reasons I still can't understand, honestly) took offense and starting misrepresenting my comment to imply that I had suggested "kicking people" off LGF to make room for moonbats. After futilely trying to contest their misrepresentations of my comment, I gave up trying to fight it. Wasn't worth the effort wasting my time endlessly correcting people who refused to stop misrepresenting what I said. I said I would stop commenting for a couple days, which I did. Among black Muslim converts there has always been a strong undercurrent of violent antisemitism --which is sad because if they had bothered to read history, they'd know that most of the slave trade was run by Muslims, not Jews; and that Jews actually were some of the most ardent supporters of the civil rights movement.
