It snowed so much last Monday and that thing rides so low to ground that the slush and ice built up in front of the muffler and by the time we got into work, the only thing keeping it on the car was the left side hanger and the exhaust pipe. My office buddies bought one of those grocery store Christmas-Dinner-in-a-Box things for the kids and me. Just took the turkey out of the oven ("heat & eat"). Pretty decent taste for a turkey out of a cardboard box...the cornbread stuffing (which came in its own container) looks and smells a little scary, though.

Gonna put the carcass in a stock pot now, for soup.

I watched Mr Smith Goes to Washington last night with the family. The movie hit me just right last night and it will be a Christmas Eve I'll remember. I just kept seeing Soros, 0bama, Soros, Dodd, 0bama, Rezko, Soros... (and I LOVE Jean Arthur in that movie).

Hubby and I have been talking about the economic situation and the fact that we are in a precarious position, both retired, basically a fixed income.
Today I went in to volunteer, as I always do on Thursday, to our local Sheriff's Department, and I was offered a JOB!
Now how kewl is that for a Christmas present!
