Fiskie Nominations, Thread the First

Blogosphere | Sun, Dec 28, 2008 at 6:59:00 pm PST

Here’s an open thread to post nominations for LGF’s Idiotarian of the Year Award! This year, in the spirit of the stock market downturn and the economic belt-tightening, we’re cutting out the “Anti-Idiotarian” award and focusing on the red meat — the award for the person or group that most personifies the spirit of the “useful idiot.”

The Fiskie Award is a lifetime award, and previous winners are not eligible; so here are the past winners for reference:

Jimmy Carter
Rachel Corrie
Cindy Sheehan
Michael Moore
Kofi Annan
Keith Olbermann

I can think of a boatload of idiots, but hardly any of them are useful.

The problem with an annual award is that as long as they breath, some past idiots manage to top themselves.

Is it really fair to give such an award to anyone but Jimmy Carter while Jimmy still roams the World fluffing every anti American and anti Semitic tyrant who would see him?

Speaking of which:

My video,

still gets about 25 comments per day -- even though it's been online for 10 months! (It was from the Code Pink Marines protest.) It's now up to 1,820 comments. (And 40,000 views.) That's probably the highest comment-per-view rating of any video on YouTube. It seems everyone has an opinion about it!

Far and away the most popular video I've ever made.

Al Gore.

The only thing keeping the world from going into a new ice age is Al Gore's mansion burning brightly and warmly, his private jet flying all over the place to save the world and his fleet of limos using up all the available "carbon". That, and all the "hot air" he produces while bloviating probably keeps the temps around the world artificially warmer than they should be.

Idiotarian is not just limited to those who aid and abet the Islamists. It can also be those who believe allying with the Eurofascists is our best bet for the antijihad.

My nominees for Idiotarian of the Year are...

*Representative Nancy Pelosi, for her trips to Syria and her mismanagement of the House.
*President-elect Barack Obama, his comments on Israel and Islam earlier this year, as well as his associations with Bill Ayres.
*Representative Barney Frank, for his role in the Freddie and Fannie collaspe.
*Senator Chris Dodd, ditto.
*Governor Rod Blagojevich, for his usefulness in getting Obama into the spotlight, and then being dropped like a dead fish when arrested. Useful and then useless in the same year.
* Senator Hillary Clinton, for battling Obama all the way to the DNC, besting him in the primaries, and then becoming his SecState.
And, at the risk of a flame war,
*Robert Spencer, for making nice with Charles, and then choosing the Eurofascists as "our only hope" in Europe, even though they are no better than the Islamofascists themselves.

Consult a lawyer in your town. The law varies state to state. It's the best investment you can make in your future. Get recommendations from others if you can. Some will provide a free initial consultation; in not, ask how much. Some will work out payment plans.

Do not sign anything until your lawyer has looked it over.

I think CNN takes the cake.

CNN is not satisfied that some of the Arab governments are not totally agitating against Israel because those governments are just as happy at this point to get rid of Iran's proxy Hamas. So CNN is positioning itself as the avenger of Hamas and they're trying to stir up mischief for these governments by handing the megaphone to anyone who's Jooo hatred is strong enough to drive them into the Arab street against their own government..

Arabs protest their governments' reaction to Gaza attacks
[Link: www.cnn.com...]

# In Yemen, thousands of people demonstrate in capital city of Sanaa
# Citizens of Sudan also protest Israeli airstrikes in Gaza
# Students at University of Qatar boycott their classes in support of Gaza
# Some Arabs blame Egypt, saying it's too cozy with Israel and the United States

Ummm, excuse me, CNN. Chew on this...

President-elect Barack Obama leans toward Israel
[Link: www.nydailynews.com...]

WASHINGTON - President-elect Barack Obama appeared Sunday to give Israel a green light to continue its Gaza onslaught against Hamas, embracing the existing U.S. policy of allowing Israel to defend itself.

And this...

..as Hamas began shelling, Israel responded.

re: #128 ArmyWife

Caroline Kennedy - she is proving to be quite the idiot, and I am loving that she uses "I am a mother" as a key qualification to being a Senator. The irony of THAT is mind boggling.

I totally agree. She's against school vouchers and for public schools, despite the fact that her three children went to private schools. She has no experience in anything, except "authoring" a couple of books (with the help of ghostwriters, I am certain).

She was probably cajoled and beaten down by the State Department. You have to have a strong philosophical conviction to freedom and individual rights to deal with that lot, and modern pragmatism just won't cut it.

Late to the party and Chris Matthews is the first who came to mind. His admitted bias and complicit toolness to the messi"uh" for a 'successful presidency' defeats the entire purpose of 'objectivity' and the founding fathers are in an infinite hamster spin of rolling in their graves as the complete assault on the meaning of 'freedom of the press' has completed it's descent into voluntary statism.

Fashion Writer: Michelle O's a 'Goddess.' Palin is 'Worst Dressed'

This month, a goddess stepped onto the world stage and made it her own.

First Lady-in-waiting Michelle Obama, who looks as chic in a chainstore’s $148 printed tank dress as she does in Narciso Rodriguez designer wear, proved that you can be tall, have unruly hair, be amother [sic] of two demanding daughters, be married to someone who is, frankly, a sex god, and come out smiling, confident and truly a style icon. [...]

There were lots ofcontenders [sic] for thistitle [sic]. Dannii Minogue, the Geldof girls, Beyoncé, Madonna inthat [sic] dress made of grass. But the award simply has to go to Sarah Palin, who may have spent $150,000 on six suits but still resembled a hopelessly sexless, up [sic] hockey mom who buys all her clothes from Wal-Mart.

/really, how do explain this abomination?
