Muslim Brotherhood Calls for ‘Maximum Jihad’

The leader of the Muslim Brotherhood says it’s time for jihad to the max.

In his weekly sermon, Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Muhammad Mahdi ‘Akef called to launch jihad for the Palestinians in Gaza in any way possible: military warfare, popular resistance groups, donations of blood and money, and comprehensive boycott.

He said that this fateful moment of the battle against Zionism is the time for jihad to its maximum degree, and that this is incumbent upon everyone.

Something else to keep in mind - the terrorists in Hamas started relying on kassams because the security fence and checkpoints made suicide bombings pretty difficult, if not impossible to carry out. So, they've gone to the next best thing for them - firing off kassams, which enables the terrorists to carry out multiple attacks in the hopes of killing Israelis - that is before Israel kills those behind the rocket attacks and takes out the launchers.

Something else to keep in mind - the terrorists in Hamas started relying on kassams because the security fence and checkpoints made suicide bombings pretty difficult, if not impossible to carry out. So, they've gone to the next best thing for them - firing off kassams, which enables the terrorists to carry out multiple attacks in the hopes of killing Israelis - that is before Israel kills those behind the rocket attacks and takes out the launchers.

Still, some of the terrorists may try out those suicide vests in the hopes of killing Israeli soldiers as they advance into Gaza. Some may succeed in killing Israeli soldiers with their suicidal rage.

The stockpiles they have accumulated during the "peace lull" is incredible but no comment from the media or politicians on that count.

Have to disagree. Rendell has been a lousy governor IMO but he was a very popular mayor (obviously not for everyone, though) for very good reasons and he would easily have won another term if it weren't for that limit thing. Instead, we got Street. One of many reasons I'm no longer living within city limits.

I saw Specter in some of the Ruby Ridge hearings in the early '90s. He was actually pretty good. One of the US Marshals flat out lied to him, essentially saying the Randy Weaver had killed his son accidentally. In other words, this will be our coverup.

Specter jumped his shit, called him a liar, pointed out that the had the forinsic evdience showing that one of the marshals that was killed had shot and killed the boy, and that the SOB Marshal knew that they had that evidence.

He didn't let the guy just walk on lying to congress, but he didn't have him prosecuted, either.

Arlen has his good points. Here is one of his not-so-good points. Sometimes I wonder why he never switched parties.

He took issue with a suggestion made earlier this month by House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Howard Berman that any dialogue with Iran be of a limited duration, perhaps three months, so Teheran didn't use it as cover to pursue their nuclear program.

"I think the dialogue ought to last however long the dialogue needs to last," he said. "I would hope that it would last and be successful, and lead to diplomatic relations, and peaceful terms, and to a new Iranian president who doesn't want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, that's what I would like."

Have to disagree. Rendell has been a lousy governor IMO but he was a very popular mayor (obviously not for everyone, though) for very good reasons and he would easily have won another term if it weren't for that limit thing. Instead, we got Street. One of many reasons I'm no longer living within city limits.

Street was pretty popular, too, in a lot of sections of the city. My issues with Rendell are personal. He's always treated police officers with contempt, and while he did balance the budget, he did it at the behest of our salaries.

We are still one of the lowest paid police departments in the country.

He spent about half that time living fairly openly in France, thumbing his nose at US officials and his victim's family as the French government resisted efforts to have him extradited. The turd was eventually shipped back to the US in 2001, and is now serving life in the PA pen.

We should be very conscious that there are many Muslims living in the west who might use this call to commit violence. The Islamist world was in an uproar BEFORE the ground operation started and tomorrow's demos in Europe could be out of control.

Jewish groups and institutions need to check with local security and be very careful about security. This is especially true for Orthodox Jews.

Lastly, the escalation ball is clearly in Iran's court, we may wake up to a wider war tomorrow

Speaking of interesting shows, I was hoping there would be some discussion of the BBC special, Britz. It aired a few weeks ago but we just got around to watching it. It's follows a British Mulslim family where one brother becomes a MI5 operative and the sister becomes radicalized. There's some obligatory Bush-bashing (it's BBC after all) and is pretty critical of some existing anti-terrorism laws, but it offered an interesting perspective on the jihad in England.

Well, that stinks and was an aspect of his tenure I'm afraid I wouldn't have been in tune with. From my perspective, the unions had a stranglehold on the city that was choking it to death. He stood up to them, which was from my perspective a breath of fresh air, especially from a Democrat. From my citizen's perspective, he also did some cleaning out of the police dept. and gave it back its good name. So interesting to hear the view from the other side and not surprising, I guess, that it's so different. He did appear to have a real good rapport with the local media and back then the MSM was all we had.

A few years ago he showed up to support a CAIR fundraiser here (at which my (spit!) Congressman Joe Sestak was the keynote speaker. Whatever shred of respect I had for Rendell died that day. I won't even go into what he did to the PLCB...

Oh, you've got that right! I'm usually not a big fan of the death penalty but he's smack dab in the class of vermin that I fully support it for.
