Fake Anti-Israel Video Posted at Liveleak

This is rich. A gruesome propaganda video uploaded to LiveLeak that purported to show the aftermath of an IDF attack on civilians in Gaza turned out to be a fraud—it actually shows the results of an accidental explosion of a truck full of Hamas rockets at a Palestinian rally.

This didn’t stop the video from reaching the top spot on reddit.com and gaining more than 2,000 up votes, because reddit.com is absolutely infested with antisemites and terror supporters: GRAPHIC Video of Israel Defense Force’s attack on Gaza civilian market — originally uploaded on & banned by YouTube (NSFW) : politics.

And the Jew-hating moron who posted this at reddit, now in damage control mode, seems to think LGF is somehow responsible:

Someone, likely a pro-Israel right-winger (judging his attitude rebutting criticism of Israel’s response to Hamas/Gaza reminiscent of Little Green Footballs fan who sought to “minimize” the horror as reflected in reddit comment history), posted a detailed comment on Reddit that debunked the claim.

Here’s that detailed comment. We had nothing to do with any of this, of course, but we congratulate ‘TW9zc2Fk’ for an excellent, lizard-like job of debunking another anti-Israel libel.

And please note that even after the video was definitively proven to be a fraud, the link has not been removed from reddit.com.

We go to great pains to minimize civilian casualties.
They go to great pains to target civilians, and to use their dead women and children ( who they placed in harms way ) as propoganda.

Both sides use propaganda In the case of the truck, the truth might lie somewhere in the middle. The Israelis saw something that looked like rockets being moved from a site that may well have been used to make or store weapons and had been hit. Maybe they were not rockets, just some of the equipment to make weapons, not that big a difference in my opinion and far different from posting a fake video.

So I follow events from the Mideast very closely and I had never heard of this incident in 2005. Which I found very strange.

So I begin to think and realize that on that date we were visiting Canada and I didn't get time to read Israeli news sources.

But I did turn on CNN in our hotel room, and I did see some Canadian English papers and did catch some news. And heard no mention.

It's no wonder that Israel is always blamed. For much of the World it seems that periodically for no reason Israel attacks the Arabs. Reportage of Arabs killing Arabs or Arabs killing Jews or "accidents" where Arab terrorists kill Arab kids- not worthy of report.

Only worthy is when an Arab stubs his toe and there is a Jew around that can be blamed.

There's something rotten at reddit.com.

When I registered there with my LGF email address, my account was mysteriously deleted - not once but twice. Emails to reddit.com support asking about it were ignored.

And I have also noticed that they delete threads that contain links to LGF -- both in their front page articles and in comments. On several occasions, I've seen referrals from reddit.com indicating that an LGF post was linked there, but when I went to the site the link no longer existed. (And the referrals stopped.)

I don't know who the administrators are (it's owned by Conde Nast), but someone is doing everything they can to keep sites like LGF out of there.

A pickup truck carrying masked militants blew up at a Hamas rally on Friday, killing at least 15 Palestinians and wounding 80, The PA Interior Ministry confirmed More...

Witnesses said the truck carried homemade weapons, and Palestinian security officials said the blast apparently was caused by the mishandling of weapons. Hamas blamed Israel, saying Israeli aircraft flew overhead during the rally. Israel denied it was involved.

Seven of the wounded were in serious condition, hospital doctors said.

The rally was held in the Jebaliya refugee camp. Witnesses said participants crowded around the pickup truck carrying militants when the explosion went off. The witnesses said the truck carried homemade weapons.

One man, who only gave his first name, Hussam, said he helped pull three men out of the pickup, two dead and one man who was still alive, but had a leg severed. The side of the pickup was charred.

The witness said he saw five dead children nearby. Dozens of children were wounded in the blast. The Hamas military wing, Izzedine al Qassam, is popular with youngsters. When the pickup with the gunmen arrived at the rally, many children crowded around the vehicle.

After the blast, men carried bloody body parts and lifeless bodies wrapped in blankets to nearby cars.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but the link posted on reddit.com is to a site called Muslim TV. They claim their objective is to spread the truth of Islam, yet they are passing this off as a recent Israeli air strike. I also noticed that the second article that TW9zc2Fk references in his post on reddit makes specific mention of a videotape showing a Jeep exploding and people running for cover.

At the beginning of the video on the Muslim web site, there is clearly a split second of footage recorded before the blast and then suddenly it just cuts to people screaming and showing mangled bodies everywhere. Could this be the same videotape that the news article mentioned? Was the explosion edited out of the video because it obviously originated in the vehicle rather than from an air strike? That's the kind of stuff the Palestinians and their supporters do so it wouldn't surprise me.

I just watched this video on Live Leak, "leaked" today. It shows a lot of Pali casualties and some kids. And it is graphic. What I noticed though was that very few Hamas military were among the casualties. I think I saw one. The military are "helping" sort threw the mess and they still have there faces covered. Are they hiding from the cameras or the civilians they just killed because of there fighting tactics?

Hamas seems very aware of there propaganda technique for sympathy and horror. They kill their own and call them martyrs. Sick.

Thanks very much for putting this up, Charles. I saw this video a couple of days ago and, seeing injuries and an urgency that were categorically not made in Pallywood I concluded that I would be inhuman not to factor this into my other thoughts on the war; and after this post I stand corrected.
