A Pro-Hamas Demonstration in Columbus, Ohio

US News • Views: 4,993

LGF reader ciaospirit has video clips from the pro-Hamas, pro-genocide demonstration in Columbus, Ohio, featuring an Ohio State professor who refuses to condemn Hamas, at hourglass1941.

Here’s an astoundingly moronic representative of the “Middle East Peace Forum,” who says Hamas is “a social service organization just like the Jewish Community Federation.”

O Bama! Mad Mamma-jama
Loves to sing out "Kumbaya!"
Hussein, sending pain
Zawahiri says, "Bad Gaza!"

O'Bama, friends in the slammer
Teflon suit starts to wearing thin
Joe Biden, just slip slidin'
"Israel really must not win..."

PJ-Whittle, from the middle
of the IDF advance
Reports Miss Glick, (no dumb chick!)
that Hamas hands are down in pants!

Ohio State, not so great,
perfessor blankly stares and grins,
"Hamas cool!" says the fool,
ignoring countless Hamas sins!

So, Bama, drop the hammer
and let the IDF clean out
the thugs and killers, boosters, shillers
until a Jewish 'Victory Shout!'

What sick crap this is. Not only do we have this massive threat from islamism/islamic nationalism, but I think this recent escalation between Israel and those genocidal a-holes Hamas has really demonstrated that the hatred of jews is not only alive and well but has been essentially dormant since WWII under the guise of Islam.

For example, what kind of society would allow Muslim groups to attack synagogues? I guess in Britain they do

15 Silvergirl  Tue, Jan 6, 2009 8:24:43pm

So hamas is a "so-called" terrorist organization, and the United States is a straight up terrorist organization? Did you hear him?

Maybe they should start...

Yes, he's the Ward Churchill Professor of Asshattery.

No really, if you go to the original link, it identifies this guy as "A representative of the Middle East Peace Forum, Cleveland, Ohio." and the one above it is "spokesperson Pranav Jani, Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University."

I don't want to be building a bad rep for Ohio State undeservedly.

50 Rexatosis  Tue, Jan 6, 2009 8:37:31pm

There are too many academics who view the current situation as a chance to relive the Vietnam Era by opposing what they see as "American Imperialism." While their myopic vision of the world only condemmed those in Southeast Asia to the hell of Communism at that time (See "The Killing Fields" for example), this time if they are successful they will be condemming Western Civilization to its own distruction. A reading of Gibbon and an understanding of how long the Western Civilization suffered after the fall of Rome during the Early Middle Ages should give any sane, thinking individual great pause during these chaotic times. The 300+ years between the sacking of Rome and the Age of Charlamagne is not one we should wish to repeat.

The good news as far as I can tell is the idiot in the video is not a professor, just a nut case, peacenik.

59 Eclectic Infidel  Tue, Jan 6, 2009 8:41:10pm

I got to 1:22 and then I had to stop. It gets me so very angry to listen to this BS. I encounter this every time I oppose the Jihadists. So many people believe the US and Israel to be terrorist nations, equate Zionism with Nazism, and actually believe in the historical hoax of the Nabka. Lefties and liberals alike from UC Berkeley and SF State promulgate the lies ad nauseum. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I just want to quit because I can feel my irrational side coming out, wanting to ship out every anti-semetic moron off to Gaza (especially the feminists and communists, especially them). And then, a simple pause gives me perspective. SFV4I is the only opposing voice out here. No one else will step up to the place, save for the occasional appearance of the college republicans (good kids, btw). I'm going off on a tangent here but this cretin, this professor, is a TYPICAL BAY AREA anti-Zionist. A typical anti-semite. This jerk encompasses the far-left attitude so very, very well. For anyone not from the SF Bay Area and want to know what Bay Area anti-zionists/anti-semites are like, just watch this video. This nails it.

I stayed with it 'til about 2:22mins. At that point "Don" says the Israeli state wants to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians.

If the Israelis wanted that, they would do that. They have the means and the military power. In reality (which Don doesn't live) Israel just wants to be left alone. This is so simple. Quit firing rockets over the border, recognize Israel's right to exist, play nice and everything will be groovy.

I'm a long way from being considered any kind of expert on the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but I can recognize much of this guy's bullshit. The trouble is, he says it with such conviction that he "seems to know" something about it. An un-knowing listener might be convinced by his crackpot conspiracy theories.

This might be a good time to point our newbies in the direction of Nekama's Troll Hammer, found on the upper-left, under Resources.

98 Rexatosis  Tue, Jan 6, 2009 8:54:26pm

Hamas, the Hezbos, etc. don't exactly love Christians either. Just look at what has happened in Lebanon over the past quarter century plus. Actually look at what happens to any non-Moslem population that is conquered by the Sword of Islam. It is not pretty, it makes the Russians look like Boy Scouts.

We do not have the right to support terrorists in America and by God I say arrest them all and punish them. This is not right. These thugs they support would kill all of us. They are the enemy.
Why are we letting them have a forum to defeat us ?

re: #98 Rexatosis

Hamas, the Hezbos, etc. don't exactly love Christians either. Just look at what has happened in Lebanon over the past quarter century plus. Actually look at what happens to any non-Moslem population that is conquered by the Sword of Islam. It is not pretty, it makes the Russians look like Boy Scouts.

When Israel turned Bethlehem over to the PA, I believe the Christian population was about 75-80%. I read recently it is down to 15% and shrinking fast.

I feel sorry for the West having this kind of thought process pass for academia and Hamas terrorists for newspaper columnists. The West is decaying and what will remain after it's gone? Islamic theocracies and "communist" dictatorships fighting each other for world dominance?

Not trying to be nit-picky, but I don't think this Don Bryan is a professor at Ohio State. Ciaospirit's blog says:

When I asked spokesperson Pranav Jani, Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University (and introduced with some sort of connection with the International Socialist Organization) if Hamas was a terrorist organization, he skirted the issue or applied moral equivalence to the United States. Jani led the chant Long live the Intifada. The first Intifada in the late eighties spawned Hamas. Jana soundly rejects a two state solution to the conflict. He, and it seemed, all the Palestinians and supporters at the rally support a one state solution.

A representative of the Middle East Peace Forum, Cleveland, Ohio, was on hand. Well, you just have to listen to this guy for yourself. But don't blame me if your IQ drops while watching it.

Pranav Jani, on the other hand, is an Assistant Professor at OSU in the English Department. See his website for his students.

Either you heard that or I'm high too. No "Right of Return" = ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Settling millions of refugees and "refugees" inside Israel effectively dismantling it and turning it into an Arab dictatorship/Islamic theocracy is the final solution for Palestine. Makes sense to me.

160 Mr. E. Train  Tue, Jan 6, 2009 9:14:08pm

When Germany declared war on the US there was a senator that said something to the effect of "Oh, if I just could have talked to Hitler, this could all have been avoided". They believe that all people are the same, namely they are rational people that can be negotiatied with. They dont believe in evil and so they are incapable of dealing with evil when they run into it in real life.

The politically active Progressive left are incapable of imagining other people having different world view, goals and motivations from themselves... despite their claims to being open minded, loving diversity ect, ect. They can not wrap their noodle around the idea that there are those that will pursue goals that are not in their own rational best interest, opting instead to follow some atavistic doctrine to its bloody end.

The Holocaust was not in the Nazis best interest, but their ideology called for the murder of the Jews. Drinking the Kool-Aid didn't help Jim Jones, but everyone in Johnstown downed the stuff on the big mans command.

The Progressives hate Conservatives because the latter doesn't think as the former does. Since Progressives see themselves in the right and good, that must make the 'other' evil. Progressives see much of what they dont like in Conservatives in Israel (willing to use force to defend itself, capitalistic, not caring to much what the UN thinks... ect), and so it to must be evil.

This way of thought dangerous, stupid, illogical, indeed verging on mental illness. A sort of malignant narcissism. I dont even want to debate such people anymore. There is no point. Why try to reason with a mad man? Its just a good thing there isn't a more clear cut geographic separation between Conservatives and Progressives (all in one section of the nation, the other in another) or there would surely be a civil war.

Watching that video, I now know why the aliens never openly land. If you were part of an advanced civilization would you want any part of that? I'm telling you, we must be the Somalia of the Milky Way. Everyone knows its there, but no one takes their vacation there, browse the markets, chat up the locals. Hell, I'm an Earthling and I dont want to have anything to do with most of my fellow man!

re: #160 Mr. E. Train
Great post! My only quibble with it is this

Its just a good thing there isn't a more clear cut geographic separation between Conservatives and Progressives (all in one section of the nation, the other in another) or there would surely be a civil war.

I'm not sure that there is that clear cut geographical seperation (IF, the results of the recent Presidential Election are any fair indicator and I'm not sure they are) then Progressives, who used to be more "coastal" (including the Great Lakes costal, excluding Virgina down through Florida and the Panhandle and gulf coast regions) are now all over the fucking place. And I don't know that we'll ever go through another Civil War even if there were more clear cut geographical lines.
But you are SPOT ON with the rest of that post.
It's as if the "Elites" KNOW what's best for everyone everwhere and can never understand why the common folk don't "get it".

Phosphorus bombs? Is this guy stuck in the 1940's?
Interview with Jimmy Carter?! HAHAHA!

And now I got to the end of the interview and became sick. I actually think he was about to advocate ethnically cleansing the Jews and then changed mid-sentence and tried to say the Jews are trying to genocide the Palestinians. He catches himself, but I think he almost slipped into that. Anyone else catch it?

"Since Progressives see themselves in the right and good, that must make the 'other' evil"

Because many don't truly believe in a onmiscient G-d, or organized religion. They've tried to replace it because religion is also "conservative". I see it as a real threat, because it is a short leap to believing that our liberty doesn't not come from a Creator that is not of this Earth and can then be defined by something that is.

Not trying to be nit-picky, but I don't think this Don Bryan is a professor at Ohio State. Ciaospirit's blog says:

If this keeps up, Jews will only be safe in Israel.
And then, all the "palestinians" will have to go somewhere else to make room for Jews.
So, if any anti-Israel scumbag is reading this, realize that making Jews unsafe in Western countries might not be such a good idea, if you want Arabs in "Palestine".

I've been more and more disturbed recently by my realization that the lure of Power is so strong. The whackos/true believers create chaos to feel powerful. And the greedy use capitalism and the not-for-profit world as a cover to profit from the whackos/true believers.

Why do suicide bombers really do what they do, yes, they "believe" but many (not all by far) do it because then their family will get a big chunk of change from some entity. They become martyrs for their family's future.

I still think this is about power and money, more than religion. Follow the money.

re: #105 Dark_Falcon

From the article:

There are certain minimal requirements for statehood, not least of which is accepting the right of one’s sovereign neighbor to exist.

At present, no representative of the Palestinian people concedes this right to Israel. As its 1988 charter makes plain, Hamas unapologetically seeks Israel’s destruction. This is why Hamas was formed: to eradicate the Jewish state as a preliminary step in the jihadist quest for global hegemony.

That leaves Fatah, the legacy of Yasser Arafat and Hamas’s rival. In their foolish desperation to “solve” the currently unsolvable Israeli/Palestinian dispute, our rose-tinted solons portray Fatah as a “moderate” party which seeks peaceful coexistence with Israel. It’s a dangerous illusion.

Regardless of what Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas may say to Western audiences, his message to the Arab world is that Palestinians should put aside their internal divisions and, as he put it in 2007, “direct our guns against Israeli occupation.” To anyone outside Brussels or Foggy Bottom, that cannot be a surprise: Fatah, Abbas’s organization, is pledged by its constitution to the destruction of Israel. (See, e.g., Article 12: Fatah’s first stated “Goal” is the “Complete liberation of Palestine, and eradication of Zionist economic, political, military and cultural existence”; see also, e.g., Article 19: “Armed struggle is a strategy and not a tactic, and the Palestinian Arab People’s armed revolution is a decisive factor in the liberation fight and in uprooting the Zionist existence, and this struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated.”)

Nevertheless, I strongly suspect that the endgame in the current war with Hamas is to set up Abbas and Fatah as the sole leadership of the Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza.

Thanks for the link.

The ones that have that "stand" with their arms folded, chests puffed up and looking sideways down their nose at you in an attempt to appear large? The guys who yell at you with .50 cent words and then think they've beaten you up?

those guys don't get laid.

You know the type. I also associate them with the first baby-boom cohort (born 1946-1954). For some reason, it seems like nearly every college-educated, non-veteran, middle- or upper-class White male in the Bay Arera from that age group fits this stereotype.

The problem is that the children of those refugees are getting brainwashed by the Saudi-funded propaganda put out in their mosques, as well as the Islamic language media. After a while, what was a refugee community can be changed into a terrorist breeding ground.

Here’s an astoundingly moronic representative of the “Middle East Peace Forum,” who says Hamas is “a social service organization just like the Jewish Community Federation.”

That's true. Every rocket they've given to the Israelis, Hamas has given completely free of charge.

That's very generous, especially considering how often I hear that their innocent people are starving.

re: #234 kafir lover

This guy exemplifies fanatic capitulation. It seems that for some folks, the real enemy is war itself or even the spectre of war because by definition this involves death and destruction. He projects a hippie "peace at all costs" kind of vibe. The details of justice, right to self-existence, etc. . . for him appear to be secondary at best.

I think capitulation is too kind a word, capitulation indicates a surrender. This guy seems to be an enthusiatic supporter of fanatics. I think he just hates America, Israel, and the west in general that he will root for anyone trying to destroy them.
As for him hating war itself and being in favor of peace at all costs, again I think not. He seems disappointed that Hamas doesn't have more advanced weaponry and seems to think we should provide it to them. Of course, any reasonable person knows if Hamas had more accurate weapons they would simply use them to better target Israeli civilians. The most accurate weapon the Palis ever had was the suicide bomber and they mostly used those to target restaurants and school busses. The only reason they switched to less accurate Qassam rockets (he calls them flying garbage cans) was because the security wall kept the suicide bombers out of Israel.
Make no mistake, this guy loves war when some deranged Palestinian is fighting it against the USA or Israel. He just hates it when we are winning.

I just have to mini-rant here.
Countries all over the world, including the USA, fall all over themselves to provide "humanitarian aid" to Hamas for Hamas to distribute to it's poor starving people, and Hamas takes significant amounts of it for it's leaders and "fighters" and swaps the best of the rest for more rockets, and let's the people Hamas is supposed to be governing starve or die for lack of medical attention.
AND THE MEMBERS OF THE WORLD COMMUNITY KNOW THIS AND GIVE THE "HUMANITARIAN AID" ANYWAY.

Imagine this ramping up for the next 6-9 months. Hopefully, Western sympathies will drift decidedly in Israel's favor but a lot of uninformed people who just want it all to go away so they don't have to take a stand presumably see the Palestinians as the ones that show the least likelihood of relenting and thus see Israel as the ones who must back down. But they don't try to grasp the implications of that. Israel needs to fight on and resist pressure to acquiesce so that the world will see that they won't relent, either. Otherwise, it will appear that it's just a matter of time until Israel packs it in, a failed experiment. Israelis must fight on, even if it means a conflagration of epic proportions or hope that their next homes will not turn against their future generations.

Boy I'll bet the Department of Homeland Security is burning a lot on mid-night oil and over-time trying to keep track of all these anti-semitic Islamofacists! They seem to be crawling out of the woodwork.

Back in my Army days (mid 60's) I saw the files the Army was keeping on the KKK. Tens of thousands! Snuck a peak at a few. I'll willing to bet that at least 75% of the members of the KKK were informers for one (or several) of the federal agencies. I think they were supplementing their incomes at the expense of the Government.

Meanwhile, over at Mahablog [Link: www.mahablog.com...], "Maha" has noticed she's been linked by LGF, so she's shut down comments to keep out the "mouth breathers".

Her basic view (which she claims the "Right" just doesn't get) is that Israel and Hamas are locked in a "death dance" and it doesn't matter who started it or how or whether one side is in the right and the other wrong. They're both the same, see, because people are being killed, and that's just wrong.

No, we get it, Maha, we really do. It's called moral equivalence. If someone comes up and punches my mother in the face, and I pound the crap out of the guy and his friends who are standing around snickering, that makes us both equally wrong, because hitting is bad.

This is the nihilism of Buddhism. In one Buddhist story, the Buddha, in an earlier incarnation, was on a ferry with hundreds of other people when he became aware that one of the passengers was planning to sink the ferry and drown all the others. So the pre-Buddha killed him for the greater good. No idea what the fully evolved Buddha would do - probably contend that neither the boat, nor the killer, nor the passengers had any reality anyway, so why bother?

And such infantile reasoning is seen by Maha and her ilk as being especially "humane" and "enlightened". Become Buddhists, all ye Jews, and show your moral superiority by how much suffering you can absorb.

Pfui Teufel.

I need to find out if all my efforts on ebay actually work! LOL I'm offering a download but I don't have a way to know if the download actually works since you can't test it from your personal account.

Just need to know if the process results in the download file. This is a 99 CENT ebay thing and who ever can test this for me, I can refund the 99 cents asap.

If any of you can let me know, please use my email contact so I can send you my ebay link. LOL I am getting a lot of wacko emails about this, but none of them have even attempted to do the download. There must be someone here who knows me from over the years and knows I am not a troll or worse. lol thanks!

I just need to find out if I did the procedure correct. If so, the ebay page takes you to paypal and a download. Its just a WOrd file. And no problem refunding the 99 cents.

The former carry water for the latter, but when it comes right down to it they don't follow through to the logical conclusions of the latter. Perhaps my thinking is fallacious or incomplete, but I believe I have narrowed down the possible differentiations to the following: 1) Denial, i.e. leftists who simply cannot believe that there is violence afoot; 2) Cowardice, i.e. leftists who simply don't have the courage to press the button/pull the trigger; 3) Pragmatism, i.e. leftists who recognize that they can serve as an "idea bomb" by distributing and justifying the ideas they hold in common with their more violent brethren.

Ah, the Palestinians with their miserable keys and their "right of return". "We're not saying that Israel has to go, just that all these people have to be allowed to come back."

Right. It's called the demographic destruction of Israel. Since the vile Arab/Muslim shill organization, UNRWA, deems every descendant of every original "refugee" to also be a "refugee", the "right of return" would swamp Israel with not only the "refugees" in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, and all the surrounding countries, and their progeny, but every Palestinian in "exile" in any part of the world.

The end of Israel without firing a shot, is what they mean.

2 and 3 are not mutually exclusive.

Also, I am of the opinion that many on the left have the ability to hold mutually exclusive ideas such as 1 and (2 & 3) with out noticing (or being concerned with) the contradictions.

re: #324 Teacake!

Nom de boom - I think with all the political correctness going on that no one is allowed to be hateful anymore and since generations of people have been programed to hate Jews, it the only acceptable outlet everyone agrees to that is free to hate and not get scolded and called racist.

You may have a point, but I don't think you can say that as a rule because there is no biological or other sort of necessity behind hate. I think the more likely repression going on is the very natural instinct to exercise moral judgment on reprehensible behavior. People are tired of being told that the murderers are the victims and vice versa.

True on both counts. Cognitive dissonance is my new favorite term to explain to lefties. They generally don't like it, and the more educated will often mutter things about the tyranny of imperialist Western logic. Amusing.

I just got in and scanned thru Charles' posts. I am completely flabbergasted that these things are happening in the USA. Not so much Canada, since the Mark Steyn trials. But, the story about the LA Times giving voice to a genocidal nut job was too much. Some very bad craziness is afoot right now. The next few months are going to be very trying I think.

I am not a Jew but I am pro-Israel and I think that Israel is losing a big PR war at the moment. It is worse than I had imagined in my worst scenarios.

If you can leave them bitching about the tyranny of Western logic then you have a clear win. Once they reject logic, all that they have left is emotion and the will to power.

re: #332 rawmuse

It is moral relativism gone bad. There is no evil in the world, none at all, according to relatavists. Then, when it suits them, at times like Abu Ghraib, there is evil once again.
We can scream this from our own personal rooftops every day but those that buy into the relativism do not listen, they are entrenched in thier beliefs and enlightening them is extremely difficult. It needs to be done on an individual basis, one person at a time.
We are fighting the indoctrination of the populace however, the relitavism is part and parcel of our education system, it is in our entertainment and it is what drives the news.
We will prevail, conservatives always do, but it might get very ugly.

This has been so demoralizing...ratcheting up Jew hate to a level not unlike during WWII here, and in Europe...I worry for our 3 grandkids...

The 5 and 8 year old granddaughters are in good school disticts, but the 8 year old, on LI is in a Jewish area of LI, and pretty safe. There is an Indian community, and there has never been a problem. The 6-year old is in NJ, in a mixed district.

Our 2-year old grandson goes to a Chabad Gan (pre-school) in Brooklyn, and so far, so good. There are arab neighborhoods not all that far away....we can only pray.

When our 4 kids went to school? There was never, ever a problem.

Now? Please hug your kids and grandkids a bit harder...they are still not aware of what is happening. my 8 year old granddaughter now is beginning to 'get it', as her Hebrew School teacher has spoken to the kids..but the 6 year old is only in first grade.

During WWII, I was shielded by my family, and was not totally aware, IIRC, until about 1945...and was 10 years old when the modern State of Israel was born. I still remember the utter joy...and then a war started, and it seems that Israel has never known true peace, and with The One taking office? I shudder.

G'nite, all. Sweet dreams...may we wake up to a better tomorow!

I hope they can quit killing each other. I hope that the agitators and weapons sellers of Palestine wake up dead, so that the Israelis and Palestinians can work something out. It is very telling -that the You-Can't-Come-In-Here-and-Kill-Us wall was objected to; not because of a land grab, but because it is "racist"(Apartheid) to not let Palestinians blow up Israelis....pretty much ended their credence for me.

The Palestinians' worst enemies are those it thinks are its friends. If Palestine ever lets Israel be its' friend, the Arab world will lose its' (alleged) mind.
Palestine is Arabia's' trained attack dog; They feed it. They train it. They show it off to their neighbors. But they damned sure won't let it in their house!

When you replace critical thinking with moral relativism, that's what you get. Poor Evil is getting picked on by Big Ol' Good. Good then needs no allies, it's Evil who needs a defender because things should be equal. It's lost on modern liberals that Good should defeat Evil. No- it's more important that we feel sympathy for victims, and Evil is the victim of Good.

He is taking a page from Saul Alinsky's playbook. Make the authority live up to the letter of their own law while doing everything possible to topple the authority. Same strategy as Hamas. Use elections to destroy the entire system.

Maybe someone--me?--could summarize the main points from Saul Alinsky's playbook. Then we could all learn to recognize them, and call the playbook numbers out as they're being used. Saul Alinsky was a very clever man, and his rule for radicals can be used by anyone, not just the bad guys.

That's the miracle of the internet. We can all learn together and use the same techniques as the bad guys use, when it furthers our aims to spread freedom and the rule of law around the world.

Maybe I'll buy Rules for Radicals tomorrow. I've been thinking that it would be a worthwhile investment.

Well, the neighborhood bully, he's just one man,
His enemies say he's on their land.
They got him outnumbered about a million to one,
He got no place to escape to, no place to run.
He's the neighborhood bully.

The neighborhood bully just lives to survive,
He's criticized and condemned for being alive.
He's not supposed to fight back, he's supposed to have thick skin,
He's supposed to lay down and die when his door is kicked in.
He's the neighborhood bully.

The neighborhood bully been driven out of every land,
He's wandered the earth an exiled man.
Seen his family scattered, his people hounded and torn,
He's always on trial for just being born.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, he knocked out a lynch mob, he was criticized,
Old women condemned him, said he should apologize.
Then he destroyed a bomb factory, nobody was glad.
The bombs were meant for him.
He was supposed to feel bad.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, the chances are against it and the odds are slim
That he'll live by the rules that the world makes for him,
'Cause there's a noose at his neck and a gun at his back
And a license to kill him is given out to every maniac.
He's the neighborhood bully.

He got no allies to really speak of.
What he gets he must pay for, he don't get it out of love.
He buys obsolete weapons and he won't be denied
But no one sends flesh and blood to fight by his side.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, he's surrounded by pacifists who all want peace,
They pray for it nightly that the bloodshed must cease.
Now, they wouldn't hurt a fly.
To hurt one they would weep.
They lay and they wait for this bully to fall asleep.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Every empire that's enslaved him is gone,
Egypt and Rome, even the great Babylon.
He's made a garden of paradise in the desert sand,
In bed with nobody, under no one's command.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Now his holiest books have been trampled upon,
No contract he signed was worth what it was written on.
He took the crumbs of the world and he turned it into wealth,
Took sickness and disease and he turned it into health.
He's the neighborhood bully.

What's anybody indebted to him for?
Nothin', they say.
He just likes to cause war.
Pride and prejudice and superstition indeed,
They wait for this bully like a dog waits to feed.
He's the neighborhood bully.

What has he done to wear so many scars?
Does he change the course of rivers?
Does he pollute the moon and stars?
Neighborhood bully, standing on the hill,
Running out the clock, time standing still,
Neighborhood bully.

Hamas is “a social service organization just like the Jewish Community Federation.”

I guess the distinction is in the type of social services provided by the JCF and Hamas, respectively. The JCF promotes Jewish life, and feeds and clothes the needy. Hamas tries to eliminate Jewish life, and creates more needy.

Israelis must fight on, even if it means a conflagration of epic proportions or hope that their next homes will not turn against their future generations.

this morning they are talking about a cease fire with Un observers and turkey putting together a force to (for lack of a better word) police the situation. Israel is already making it clear that any shots fired by the other side will be hit immediately despite any ceasefire....I wish them luck in finding a good monitor that won't turn a blind eye. On the other hand, I think egypt is fed up with the tunnels and may be more attentive this time around...at least in the short term...

America is allowing its enemies (middle east countries) to ship to us bombs ("refugees") and our taxpayers are picking up the bill for planting these bombs ("refugees") in our cities and paying for their food etc.

"Still have their keys" Well, there's instant disqualification from rational debate.

Or maybe there was only one locksmith in Jerusalem 60 years ago, and well, he got this great deal on locks....

An acquaintance went to a women's conference in Jerusalem about ten years ago. Her family is Iraqi, and she enjoyed the opportunity to hang with a number of other women from Mizrahi/Sephardi backgrounds.

A group of Palestinian women gave a panel/presentation, and were treated with kid gloved by the organizers. After my friend and her buddies left to go to dinner, one of them turned to her and said, "I get so sick of watching people nod respectfully when Arabs say that they still have the keys to their houses in Israel. My grandfather brought the key to his house in Morocco with him, but we'll never get it back, and no one wants to hear me talk about it."
