Again. The same problem exists. We and people like us, will be the only ones to view this video or believe it.
When you try to convince ordinary Joe Blow out there these people are evil and want a world wide Caliphate, they scoff and treat you like a "flat earther", because the MSM is constantly portraying these Muslims as victims and their religion as one of peace... no different than Christianity or Buddhism.

Someone needs to ask Ellison about this while Congress is in session and from the floor.
Group That Funded Rep. Ellison's Pilgrimage to Mecca Called a Front for Extremism
Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison's groundbreaking pilgrimage to Mecca last month was paid for by an American Muslim organization that has ties to Islamic radicals and is "the Muslim equivalent of the neo-Nazi party," his critics say."A U.S. congressman going on hajj sends a very positive message to the Muslim world about America and the religious diversity in America," said Ibrahim Hooper, communications director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group.

Why, oh why does Jerusalem Post continue to give space to this mentally disabled asshat?
We saw how that worked out during this last six month truce brokered by Egypt:
Israel should turn its troops, tanks and fighter planes around and get them out of Gaza right now. At the same time, it should try to negotiate a truce with Hamas based on this principle: They stop firing rockets at Israel in return for our lifting of the siege on Gaza. This is the deal Hamas offered us before we started Operation Cast Lead, and we should have taken it then and seen how it had gone before resorting to military force.

I don't know if Israel is that important to a lot of American Jews beyond a vague that's-where-the-stories-happened kind of way. My impression is that there isn't the existential connection to Israel that existed in previous generations for a great number of Jewish Americans. There is no talk of Obama approving direct diplomatic negotiations with Hamas early on in his administration, but he is being urged by advisers to initiate low-level or clandestine approaches, and there is growing recognition in Washington that the policy of ostracising Hamas is counter-productive.

They are lost in the 12th century, someone needs to tell them that a Army on camel back will not work as well as it did a few 100 years ago.
It reminds me of the joke about a Coast Guard cutter coming upon a unidentified ship in the fog. The cutters skipper hails over the bullhorn "This is the Coast Guard cutter John Doe, identify yourself or we'll open fire.
Back from the fog comes the reply. "This is the battleship USS Missouri, fire when ready"

Evil is the victim of Good. Anything the left can do to push their moral equivalency, they will do. In this case, the underdog/victim is hamas, so demonizing Israel is a must. Portraying hamassholes as sympathetic freedom fighters is also a must. It won't stop until moral relativism is done away with.

Mental disorders. Self hate. Small-penis shame. Mama didn't love me. Daddy wore a tutu.

It is our duty to get these facts out as much as possible.
For some time I have been vexed by the fact that the mainstream media refuses to simply show things like this. It really does tell the story rather completely.
Further, though it is a bit OT, I have to vent a bit about Jimmah and his execrable op ed in the Post this morning. How can he, and how can the world be blind to the publicly shouted nature of these thugs? I really really just don't understand how so many can be so thoroughly duped - or why the MSM is so intent on keeping people duped. Are Saudi pockets that deep?

Votes, moral relativism, and false narratives about climate change will always take precedence above Jewish survival.

Diplomat: Western, Arab ministers agree on UN draft on Gaza truce
Western powers, Arab states say they have reached deal on draft of Security Council Resolution calling for immediate ceasefire in Gaza
[Link: www.ynetnews.com...]
"the United States, Britain and France -- are now onboard."
In a key concession to the Arabs, a text circulated by the British delegation earlier Thursday "calls for an immediate, durable and fully respected ceasefire" in Gaza and "for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza."
An earlier version merely "stressed the need" for an immediate ceasefire.

That is the paradox of the left that I will never understand. In their desire to promote free speech they silence the majority. In their desire to help the disenfranchised, they bind them to their troubles. In their desire to eliminate discrimination, they label and segregate people by their differences. In their desire for peace, they associate or side with people who've repeatedly broken treaties and truces.

Diplomat: Western, Arab ministers agree on UN draft on Gaza truce
Western powers, Arab states say they have reached deal on draft of Security Council Resolution calling for immediate ceasefire in Gaza[Link: www.ynetnews.com...]
OK So what is going on here?
I see nothing addressing possible Israeli response to future Gazan rocket/mortar attacks or suicide bombers?
And the question still remains; Israel left Gaza in 2005. Why should it not control it's border? Border crossing has still been permitted, albeit slowly. Since when is a country not allowed to control its borders?
And of course, there is always the entire southern border with Egypt that could be opened to. Wonder if that was addressed?

They have been ever since the U.S. hinted support to Israel.
Although that wouldn't matter, since Washington represents power, and it would have been targeted by Islam regardless.

It looks like the under the table low level talks we did with the PLO years ago. I hope this quote holds true from the link at least:
"Richard Haass, a diplomat under both presidents Bush who was named by a number of news organizations this week as Obama's choice for Middle East envoy, supports low level contacts with Hamas provided there is a ceasefire in place and a Hamas-Fatah reconciliation emerges."
That comment was probably the source of the story. The chances of Hamas getting back with Fatah and keeping a cease fire will be a tall order before low level talks begin is slim.

I don't think I will ever understand what motivates the left.
The first priority of the leftists - above any altruistic desires that may actually lurk in some of the 'useful idiot left' hearts - is to break the back of Western civilization so that they, the intellectual elites, can seize power and re-engineer global society to their liking.
The illogic and hypocrisy of the alliances they must make to create anarchy doesn't matter to true leftists. Historically to the left, the achievement of such a goal - absolute power - is worth the millions of lives that may be lost (and have been lost) along the way.

Death Cult Hamas - killing Palestinians.
Palestinian civilians continue to be murdered in cold blood — several dozen just last weekend. Many of the victims were gunned down inside hospitals and schools. If you’ve been following the latest Middle East conflict, this will not surprise you. What might: The fact that the assailants were Palestinians — Hamas members targeting those affiliated with the rival Fatah organization.
Only scattered and buried mentions of these attacks have appeared in such newspapers as the New York Times and the Washington Post. There’s been little or nothing on television.

Obama's good friend Rashid Khalidi weighs in. You can read more of his lies in the New York Slimes, of course.
By RASHID KHALIDI
Published: January 7, 2009NEARLY everything you’ve been led to believe about Gaza is wrong. Below are a few essential points that seem to be missing from the conversation, much of which has taken place in the press, about Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip.
THE GAZANS Most of the people living in Gaza are not there by choice. The majority of the 1.5 million people crammed into the roughly 140 square miles of the Gaza Strip belong to families that came from towns and villages outside Gaza like Ashkelon and Beersheba. They were driven to Gaza by the Israeli Army in 1948.

"As too many people are eager to remind us, Israel is doing bad things to the Palestinians. And, as too many fail to say, Palestinians are doing bad things to Israelis, and it is not always easy to sort out which is action and which reaction, which is aggression and which defense. There should be no difficulty, however, in sorting out the difference between the one party that has the declared purpose of destroying or expelling the other party, and the other party that wants only to live in security and peace. This, I think, we know for sure: there could be a real peace process and a real peace if the Arabs believably accepted a sovereign Jewish state in their midst. This, sadly, does not seem to be in the offing."

For the first time in 17 years, California finance officials warn they could pay income-tax refunds in April with IOUs.And don't get any ideas: Residents who owe tax cannot pay the state with IOUs.
Heard about this on the radio home today. The plan is to issue an interest free IOU and they'll pay when they can.

Legitimately elected terrorists that hate freedom and do their utmost to get those that elected them killed in the line of being innocent. When they aren't busy they murder and terrorize their political rivals and what's best is compared to Islamic Jihad they are moderates. And this is the group that the UN and all sorts of progressive movements support while condemning Israel. There is something very wrong in the world and the hearts and minds of a lot of people.

Pelosi’s Hometown Wants $2 Billion in Federal Stimulus Funds
San Francisco, home to the congressional district of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), has requested nearly $2.2 billion in federal money as part of the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ Main Street Economic Recovery Plan. The plan outlines the requests of 641 individual cities and carries a total cost of $96.6 billion to U.S. taxpayers.
. . .
San Francisco’s proposals would create 12,704 jobs, at a cost of $172,813 per job according to the plan submitted to the conference by Mayor Gavin Newsom’s office. The City by the Bay has a population of approximately 764,976 according to the report.

The Left's attack on the family is consistent with their goals. Families value and protect their children. Dysfunctional groupings are unable to protect children, will cede their education to the State, will cede their lives to terrorist operations; children will inform on parents.
Impoverishing families, by taxation, by futile attempts to nationalize health professionals and other industries; wasteful social programs, gigantic financial manipulations (bail-outs) and massive inflation, also leaves them unable to meet their own needs, and increases dependency on the Governmental powers.

Actually I don't think it'll happen in a week or two. It'll happen when the world is breathing harder on Israel's neck and Israeli is going to step aside and just let the palis do the killings and save IDF lives.

Group That Funded Rep. Ellison's Pilgrimage to Mecca Called a Front for Extremism
Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison's groundbreaking pilgrimage to Mecca last month was paid for by an American Muslim organization that has ties to Islamic radicals and is "the Muslim equivalent of the neo-Nazi party," his critics say.
Ellison, a Democrat, became the first U.S. congressman ever to make the hajj pilgrimage when he visited Islam's holy city in December. The trip was funded by the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, a non-profit interfaith group that is one of 55 branches of the MAS nationwide. The pilgrimage was hailed by Muslim activists in the U.S.
"A U.S. congressman going on hajj sends a very positive message to the Muslim world about America and the religious diversity in America," said Ibrahim Hooper, communications director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group.
But Ellison, the only Muslim in Congress, is coming under fire for his ties to MAS, which one terrorism expert called "the Muslim equivalent of the neo-Nazi party."
"It is the de facto arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S.," said Steven Emerson, director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism. "The agenda of the MAS is to ... impose Islamic law in the U.S., to undermine U.S. counterterrorism policy."

She's just too socially conservative for me, and needs to get up to speed on international issues. Once she gets more experience, it will be up to the voters to weigh in on her social views. Getting the left and middle excited about her is probably as difficult as getting the right to vote for Hillary. They both fire up their base, but very little cross over appeal.
In my opinion, she can not win without somehow getting votes from the left of her, and that's one big ass voting block.

Obama camp 'prepared to talk to Hamas'
Incoming administration will abandon Bush's isolation of Islamist group to initiate low-level diplomacy, say transition sources
US president-elect Barack Obama is widely expected to adopt a more even-handed approach to the Middle East conflict once he assumes office. Photograph: Tannen Maury/EPA
The incoming Obama administration is prepared to abandon George Bush's doctrine of isolating Hamas by establishing a channel to the Islamist organisation, sources close to the transition team say.
The move to open contacts with Hamas, which could be initiated through the US intelligence services, would represent a definitive break with the Bush presidency's ostracising of the group. The state department has designated Hamas a terrorist organisation, and in 2006 Congress passed a law banning US financial aid to the group.

The Seattle Times never liked the joint operating agreement to begin with, and did everything they could to try to sabotage the arrangement without being overt enough to get caught doing it. The P.I. died the day the Times started morning circulation, it was only kept alive artificially by legal wrangling.

The paper that refused to print the photos (FBI request) of the suspected terrorists.
Both papers speak with the same voice, hardcore leftism, so the Saudis could save a few million petrodollars and wait for the P.I. to expire. Better that way so they could have more funds to support exportation of radical Islam into US mosques.

I don't think they should be permitted to own a majority interest in a newspaper or news outlet in America.
I agree but that doesn't mean that they don't or won't have shills or sock puppets. Islam has had time to study both Nazi Germany and the USSR and their methods. As a carpenter I know that termites can do a great deal of damage before they are discovered.

So the Arab Association for Human Rights looked at how Israel put rocket launchers near - not in - Arab villages in northern Israel during the 2006 war with Hezbollah, and decided it was a grave human rights violation:
According to media reports, a further round of conflict between Israel and Hizbullah, probably with the participation of Syria and Iran, is a highly possible scenario in the future. A new war involving various parties in the region could erupt at any time. With this in mind, the HRA emphasizes that in any future conflict the State of Israel must respect international humanitarian law, both treaty-based and customary. The HRA urges the Israeli government to take the following steps, among others:1) To remove all permanent military bases situated in the vicinity of civilian centers since, in accordance with international humanitarian law, such bases constitute legitimate targets for attack and, accordingly, their proximity to civilian centers may endanger the civilian population.
2) To refrain from locating temporary installations during periods of conflict in close proximity to civilian centers or inside such centers, in order to avoid endangering the civilian population by making such installations legitimate military targets for attack.
3) To take immediately all steps necessary, including the allocation of appropriate resources, in order to protect Arab towns and villages, which have suffered extensive neglect, from future missile attacks, including by building public bomb shelters and providing appropriate civil defense and warning systems.
4) To prepare in advance emergency plans for the evacuation of the civilian population in a future conflict, and to ensure that the residents are housed in a safe location outside the range of fire and attacks by the other side.
Furthermore, the HRA urges the international community to respond firmly to the violation of international humanitarian law committed by Israel. As a signatory to the Geneva Conventions and the Ancillary Protocols thereto, Israel is liable for the full implementation thereof. Accordingly, we implore the international community to oblige Israel to use all possible tools at its disposal in order to halt existing violations, and to attempt to prevent future violations in any future conflict. In particular, Israel should be required to refrain from locating permanent and temporary military installations in or close to civilian centers.
So when Hamas lets mortars be fired from a school that the UN has designated as a refugee center, who does HRA blame for the ensuing casualties?
"The International Criminal Court should fulfill its obligations and prosecute Israel and its leaders for their continued targeting of civilians and the persistent killing of more than 43 civilians inside the UNRWA schools yesterday. The number of children and women victims was far more than half the number of dead and this confirms the intentional targeting of civilians"
HRA Director, Mohammad Zeidan

The left on YouTube are a special breed of mean. I'm sorry if I accidentally painted you with that brush.
No need to apologize, the left and right have their fair share of jerks and the Palin comments were out of line. I jump to the defense of GW when he's called a Nazi by my loon friends on the left and I'll do the same with Obama Commie comments. For example, I did not vote for Bush, and disagreed with him on many issues, but the guy loves his country, did what he felt was best and only history will judge his legacy.

I don't feel the need to display a flag or wear a pin to express my love of country. The needing to wear a lapel pin or you're a Commie thing upsets me a bit. I don't judge my neighbors love of country by a flag display or party affilation.
As a matter of fact, another Vet down the street is a wheelchair from the Korean war and a flag waving neighbor refers to him as the neighborhood "N word". Fly one if you like, but don't use it as a indicator of patriotism, too many variables.

The same was said of the Japanese during the hey-day when the Japanese economy was white-hot. If someone shows up with enough cash there will be people willing to sell their mother.
As bad as the refusal of the American media to be objective is now, if and when foreign interests were able to have majority control over outlets we would seeing al Jazeerah type reportage, and the vast majority of Americans would have nary a clue.

yeah. She should have at least as much executive experience as, say.... Obama. OR at least any kind of political experience, like...say... Kennedy.
And I'd like to hear how wise Obama would have sounded pronouncing on foreign policy if he'd been suddenly plucked from the Senate and placed on a hostile media stage with just a couple of weeks to be briefed by his advisors, as Palin was.
Also the comparison is unfair because the zerO was treated by the press with kid gloves. He was rarely sandbagged by a fawning interviewer over the many months leading up to the election. We focus on the few weeks that Palin was scrutinized by the press, while Barry's early interviews, lame answers and gaffes were buried or marginalized by the MSM.

Does anyone know a liberal or even a Democrat that flies the US flag out front? Democrats will fly some kind of little banners with bunnies or some other kind of weird thing on them as the seasons change.

Yes, avanti... and the real disservice is done to the voters and the nation, as we are led to believe that canned answers from both parties in two-minute memorized soundbites are indicative of the working wisdom and practical intelligence of a leader. I've been down on the debates because they have long been too heavily used as the best guide for a citizen to make his/her choice. Nobody but political junkies has the time or inclination to look at the candidates' backgrounds, the backgrounds of the staff choices the candidates have made, or their voting records. We need a better system for the primaries too, in which the fringe extremists and one-issue voters have the most influence.

re: #208 USCMSNE
That is the paradox of the left that I will never understand. In
their desire to promote free speech they silence the majority. In their
desire to help the disenfranchised, they bind them to their troubles.
In their desire to eliminate discrimination, they label and segregate
people by their differences. In their desire for peace, they associate
or side with people who've repeatedly broken treaties and truces.I don't think I will ever understand what motivates the left.
Brilliantly put! But something does motivate the Left, even if it's irrational.
That's why I think Sharmuta captured the essence in #108 with
Evil is the victim of Good. [. . .]
What an interesting concept!
So in that case, for evil to protect itself from shame and exposure, it needs to point to victims of what we (moral people of good will) think is Good and Just, but not because evil actually cares about any victims of injustice (it doesn't), but because evil wants to defeat and replace Good with something else. Something relative.
And that's why, as you pointed out, the Left desperately needs for poverty, racism, violence, and other blights to continue.
- And that would be why the self-hating media can't stand Israel
- That's also why the primary enemy of Communism is not the Rich, but the "middle class" that serves as a bridge between poverty and wealth.
- That's why some judges justify and release criminals, and so on.
All the finger-pointing, hatred, and attacks from the Left absolves them of their own personal guilt, provides them a sense of self-righteousness against common sense. This is also why the Left would love to see America fall.
Do you agree?

The world feels sorry for the Palestinians though because Hamas parades the pictures of the dead and injured Palestinian children. And tries to put the blame on Israel and everyone believes them because their families and parents go right along with them
Strange, how the same folks crying crocidile tears over these kids shed not one single tear for the Jewish women and children murdered by the Hamas like the pregnant Israeli and her 4 little daughters shot execution style in their car by the Hamas and PLO gangsters a couple of years back.
