Long story short...they delayed my treatment for RA for another month. I went to the Rheumy yesterday so they could look at my TB test I took Friday...I was shocked when they said I was positive. I've started a nine month treatment today for Tuberculosis. Bummed out big time!

The TB could be the cause of your RA staying in a constant inflammatory stage. The discovery of the TB is a blessing in disguise. Nontreated TB could have caused you permanent tissue damage. Thank goodness you have been diagnosed and are in treatment. Has Mrs. Jorline been tested as well? It is a
communicable disease. Everyone in your employ and in your immediate surrounding to you should be tested.

Palestianian hits synagogue guard with iron bar in Berlin
A Palestinian man with an iron bar attacked a guard outside a Berlin synagogue on Tuesday, knocking him to the ground before the assailant could be restrained, German police said.
The attack appeared to be a protest against Israel's onslaught on Gaza. Police who arrested the suspect described him as stateless, but added that he termed himself Palestinian.
The other guards outside the synagogue caught the attacker. The assailant and another guard suffered minor injuries in the scuffle, while the guard hit with the bar was taken to hospital for treatment.
The old synagogue in Oranienburger Strasse, a central Berlin street, is a tourist attraction and has guards permanently standing outside and searching visitors because of the danger of attack by neo-Nazis.

I think I've started to see a pattern in Daylife. Starting to see more photos of dead jihadis getting buried (mildly graphic warning applies) in the daily news streams. That means that the photographers and stringers for the wire services are no longer nearly as worried about Hamas clamping down hard. It could suggest that Hamas isn't nearly as able to control the message and that the stringers are starting to report more freely what is really happening in Gaza since Hamas is more concerned about surviving the next 12 hours than parading around with stringers in tow to get out their propaganda.
It's just circumstantial evidence and an interesting hypothesis, but it fits in with what the IAF and IDF have been reporting for some time now - that they've been beating Hamas and Islamic Jihad to a bloody mess.

You're correct, RA can make you more susceptible to TB. I was scheduled for a yearly TB test because my new RA treatment makes me a sitting duck for upper repertory infections.
I'm glad they caught it.

There are four pages devoted to the San Francisco Chronicle photo of the girl at the anti-war protest in September of 2005. They've got Zombie's analysis of the photo's and the Chronicles "rebuttal" to the argument, but not Zombies counter rebuttal. The book was printed in 2007.

RW, I do agree with you on the points you make. It isn't the fact that these folks are getting the money (which I would support in any case). My problem is with the obfuscation. If the Obama administration chooses to help these folks, I'm fine with it, and give it a thumbs up.
That said, I am not comfortable with the idea that the incoming administration feels it can blow this by as part of the "stimulus" package that is already getting out of control.

Modern military hardware takes a lot of training to use and maintain and those with the knowledge horde it as a precious resource. As a result, they dont have enough people with proper training around to keep the gear functioning, but instead blame the equipment for being defective. Those wonderful traits of paranoia and ignorance win the day again.

The whole family is being tested. My TB is Latent... not active so I can not spread the disease. It lays dormant, but the meds are suppose to contain it so the virus can never become active. I'm glad they caught it.

I have twenty elderly folks on my route. Usually take the little Bichon with me, call him Cujo. It's great, because they love the little dog, have a chance to chat with someone, and I get to make sure they're okay.
I can tell you though, the saddest thing in the world is to pick up the list and find out someone is no longer on the route...because there's generally only one reason they've been taken off.

I wonder if it as simple as making them say thank you as a child. And mean it. The 'meaning it' is the hard part. I've made them go back up the steps on Halloween to repeat the thank you, this time looking the person in the eye instead of just quickly saying it as they are walking away.
But I imagine the best teacher of gratitude is having to do without something at sometime in your life.
And working hard to give to others, where you may or may not receive gratitude for your efforts.

I wonder if it as simple as making them say thank you as a child. And mean it. The 'meaning it' is the hard part. I've made them go back up the steps on Halloween to repeat the thank you, this time looking the person in the eye instead of just quickly saying it as they are walking away.
But I imagine the best teacher of gratitude is having to do without something at sometime in your life.
And working hard to give to others, where you may or may not receive gratitude for your efforts.
I agree. It has to start at home, with the parents inculcating good behaviors like you state. And adding Sir and Ma'am to their kids vocabulary as well. And I think if you take care of basics like these the big things will sort themselves out. Sort of a variation on the 'broken windows' theory of policing used so successfully by Rudy in New York......

Watched the Turkish news tonight. They want to send in Turkish troops as peacekeepers. Something tells me Hamassholes if given the chance will bite the hands that feed them. Maybe its what Turkey needs. In the time during and following the Second World War Turkey had some of the best universities in the world due to its neutral status and the haven it gave to the Jews. Now I think there are only 2 universities in the whole country which are accredited in the US and abroad. Most of the Turkish Jews I know have either left the country or are talking about doing so.

Was scrolling through the tv channels -- landed on CNN's Headline News -- "Entertainment Tonight" was on -- Golden globe awards and they were all reviewing the "most outrageous" (iirc) statements made at the event...Three "speakers" at the Golden globe event were featured...and they played the clips of the "outrageousness" -- so they showed a fellow (dressed up in his tuxedo), spoke with a British accent (sorry, but everytime I hear a British accent...acts like an alarm bell)...and the slimeball made antisemitic "jokes" about the Holocaust. Too many in the UK are like this cretin --and I don't really know (nor understand) what is wrong with them.
