Video: Hudson Crash from Coast Guard Camera

Posted last night in our spinoff links by “freedomplow,” here’s a Coast Guard video that shows the US Airways Hudson River crash and the immediate rescue efforts; the plane appears at the left side of the image at about 2:00. The passengers really got out fast; by the time the camera operator saw the crash and zoomed in—30 seconds to a minute—they were already exiting and standing on the wings.

I couldn’t help wondering if any of the passengers tried to use their seat cushions as “floatation” devices.
