Some Gaza Residents Blaming Hamas, Quietly

Middle East • Views: 1,864

Apparently, this is what it takes.

“I used to support Hamas because they fought for our country, for Palestine,” says Sadala. Hamas stood for a new start, for an end of corruption, which had spread like cancer under the moderate Fatah. In the 2006 elections Hamas won the majority with their message of change, said Sadala, who earned a living in the building business. Gesticulating wildly, the 52-year-old surveyed the ruins of the bedroom: “That is the change that they brought about. We were blasted back 2,000 years.”

Lies. There is no country of Palestine. Given the history of Hamas, I have little sympathy for those who voted in those vile terrorists.

The women are innately tending to the basics of life and sustaining life for their family and the men are standing around. Doesn't anyman know how to dig a hole and bury the remains of the donkeys and sheep carcasses that are rotting in the street? What gives?

The National Patient Registry

What is being envisioned, as we’ve seen, is distinctly different from traditional health department disease registries. National health IT would put government officials in the position of overseeing the healthcare decisions made by consumers and their care providers, tracking chronic disease management, and monitoring compliance with public health performance measures.

This sounds scary. This sounds like "Mr. Jones, your operation cannot be justified under National Health Care Guidelines of 2010."

The sad, infuriating aspect of this article is these incidents of firing from residential areas and general Hamas brutality were all known during Israel's attacks but will still be buried by the media. Even more sad and infuriating is that pro-Hamas demonstrators wouldn't care even when presented with these first-hand accounts. Obviously, I expect nothing from Hamas enablers.

Amazing isn't it? While I have not read it yet, just having ordered it today, Apparently W. Gaylin "Hatred: The psychological descent into violence" (2003) has much to say about the gullibility of the victimhood culture. The more I read "The Annals of Gullibility" by Greenspan (2009) the more I am able to understand the Troofer and Global Warming hysteria. A suggested read. Global warming has all the earmarks of "Cold Fusion". As a note, the exact experiment done by Pons and Fliechman was done in the 1920s and 30s in Germany with the hope of creating helium, which was in short supply there.

My father has a friend, a fellow engineer, who had family in the ninth ward. There are appatently people there who have never left the city in their entire lives. Evacuating was quite a scary thing and a lot of them didn't want to leave beacuse they had never left. I guess food just came from over the hill somehow.

On a lighter note, I finally Stanley Clarke's School Days CD from Amazon. Charles played on one track (John MacLaughlin's on there too!) and he was quite the guitarist, IMHO. He knows the fretboard in ways it took the rest of us mortals several decades to understand. Nice work, Charles!

I know not everyone in NO stood around crying about President Bush not cleaning up their homes quickly enough. One of my best friends in the world lives in NO. But there were some large pockets who waited for gov't to take care of everything - but they did that before Katrina struck, so it wasn't a new trick.

There are people scattered all across this country who make their lives from birth to death waiting and living on the government (our tax money) dole.
I have not taken a penny of government assistance, not even a jug of bottled water, during this last Ike storm and I have lost my home in Galveston. I am still waiting all these many months, for the insurance companies, three separate policies by the way, to decide whether the house was taken by water or by wind before I can do anything. I have been told that if I had just applied for FEMA assistance, I would have gotten loan money and would be rebuilding already....
Case in point, Perhaps, we make it too easy for people to become dependent on the government.
This makes me sick. I want to take care of myself.

Limbaugh Responds to Obama

According to an account in the New York Post, President Barack Obama yesterday told Republican leaders, "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done." With George W. Bush now off the stage, it may be that Obama and some of his fellow Democrats view Limbaugh, and not John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, or any other elected official, as the true leader of the Republican opposition. This morning I asked Rush for his thoughts on all this, and here is his response:

Great response Rush...I'm becoming a Rush fan for the second time.

One more thing, Byron. Your publication and website have documented Obama's ties to the teachings of Saul Alinksy while he was community organizing in Chicago. Here is Rule 13 of Alinksy's Rules for Radicals:

"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

Killer closing line.

Limbaugh Responds to Obama

Killer closing line.

Yes.
Scary stuff.

To make the argument about me instead of his plan makes sense from his perspective. Obama's plan would buy votes for the Democrat Party, in the same way FDR's New Deal established majority power for 50 years of Democrat rule, and it would also simultaneously seriously damage any hope of future tax cuts. It would allow a majority of American voters to guarantee no taxes for themselves going forward. It would burden the private sector and put the public sector in permanent and firm control of the economy. Put simply, I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing "eternal" power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy. If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of this TRILLION dollar debacle.

Watch your mouth! Better than Aggies. Hummphh.

/gig'em, Aggies!

There was an Aggie that was down on his luck. In order to raise some money he decided to kidnap a kid and hold him for ransom.
He went to the playground, grabbed a kid, took him behind a tree and told him, "I've kidnapped you."
The Aggie wrote a note saying "I've kidnapped your kid. Tomorrow morning, put $10,000 in a paper bag and put it beneath the pecan tree next to the slide on the north side of the city playground. Signed, An Aggie."
The Aggie then pinned the note to the kid's shirt and sent him home to show it to his parents.
The next morning the Aggie checked, and sure enough a paper bag was sitting beneath that pecan tree. The Aggie opened up the bag and found the $10,000 with a note. The note said, "How could one Aggie do this to another Aggie?"

The insurance companies all use subcontractors for inspectors. Many of these people do the inspections as second jobs. The first inspector came from Florida, three weeks after the storm. The second inspection was 2 weeks after that one.
I'm now through two of my own privately hired structural engineer inspections. Now they're slowly moving the paperwork up their chains of command at the Texas Windstorm Catpool. The Flood policy still has not even yet completed all it's inspections.
The Board of Insurance gave them until the end of January to submit all the claims for Ike.

FWIW, here is my opinion as a taxpaying American. Take the money. Is not a hand-out. It is a loan. You'll pay it back when the insurance company pays up. It is the right thing to do, IMHO.

re: #138 MandyManners

Wait a minute. How much money have you paid to the federal government and/or state government in the forms of taxes or fees or whatever? THAT'S YOUR MONEY! It's not "free money" at all. The government doesn't pull it out of its butt.

I have never borrowed money for a large sum loan. Ever. Yes, for a used auto when I was in college. I have always worked 2 and 3 jobs and have paid for my homes in cash. I don't purchase anything unless I have the money in hand to buy it. Yes, it meant sacrificing for long periods of time.
I'm early retired now because I have planned this retirement since I started my career. All I ask for now is a little efficiency in the insurance services that I paid for. If they are not finished disputing what God force, wind or flood, caused the destruction of my house by the 15th of February, I will seek the assistance of my attorney.

Obama also had this to say to the Republicans. He sounds like a brat.

In an exchange with Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) about the proposal, the president shot back: "I won," according to aides briefed on the meeting.

"I will trump you on that."

Not that Obama was gloating. He was just explaining that he aims to get his way on stimulus package and all other legislation, sources said, noting his unrivaled one-party control of both congressional chambers.

Yes indeed. Obama is going to regret picking a fight with Rush. Rush is going to make it harder for Obama to get a stimulus package that is close to what Obama sought, and the furor Rush will raise will make a new Fairness Doctrine much less likely.

For what it's worth, I still do not regret voting for Gerald Ford (first time I was elgible).
Nor do I regret voting for Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Bush, Dole, Bush, Bush, and McCain.
I am registered "unaffiliated", and will not join the Republican party.

It's the philosophy.

I saw her in person and "wide load" describes her accurately. Some blacks at a barber shop were being interviewed on, I think, Kimmel's show. He asked if it was okay to make fun of Michelle's butt. They said yeah, she definitely has a "fatty."

She is indeed bottom heavy, and that's one reason she does not walk gracefully.

However . . . there are so many intellectual reasons why I don't like her, it seems a little shallow to diss her for her physical attributes.

It is the stubbornness of my work ethic, hard work, and now being comfortable for the fruits of all that hard labor, that has given me personal independence
and freedom.
The government still sends me their little semi-annual printouts with my gross earnings and contributions to date and a sweet little reminder of how much MORE I could give to them if I just go back to work and make more work contributions to them. Heh.

I think you may have made a wrong turn out there in the big, wide internet. Did you seriously just compare Hamas to the GOP? I think you need to do some fact checking. You can start right on this thread. [Link: littlegreenfootballs.com...] Note the loving father who HOPED his son would be killed. Looked forward to it, even. You compare that to the GOP?

I didn't mean what some of you are getting your bowels in an uproar for at all. The "GOP" has self-destructed, or it would certainly appear that way currently, similarly to how Hamas has self-destructed among some their followers and former supporters who have recently been left questioning their allegiance after allowing themselves to believe in campaign promises and allusions from candidates to a better tomorrow. The blood-thirsty death-seeking savages part was never part of the equation.

I should have and could have clarified myself further for those who can't be bothered to NOT read into what I said with even the slightest effort, but I'd obviously be wasting my time. I'm a proud conservative Republican and intend to soldier on as such.

But LGF ain't what it used to be. It seems like it has been somewhat over-run with vile loathesome knuckle dragging creatures that haven't the slightest bit of etiquette or the appearences of a modicum of intelligence... which is par for the Republican course these days it seems.

I am not sure why you are so upset with me. I countered your point with one of my own, and reinforced mine with data. If that made you sad, you own it, not me. Moreover, I should not be expected to "read into" your writings. This is a website with no inflection, reading into anything is difficult at best, most especially when you are not a regular poster. I don't care how often you post, but with the number you have, we can't have a feel for your style. What you said was inappropriate. If you misstated, then apologize and try again. I am far from perfect, and I have had to go back and restate, or strike comments I've made because they didn't come out the way I intended.

It unfortunate that you feel this way.

The Palestinians are not helpless nor are they stupid.

We can have sympathy for those Palestinians that want peace and be distrustful of those that don't.

The Palestinians can have all the peace they want, as soon as they stop killing Israelis.

Its up to them. It always has been.

I agree with you. You have misconstrued my meaning when I compared ONLY the self-destruct parts. In Hamas' case, it's a good thing. The GOP side of my analogy, not so much.

I didn't run around and down ding or harass those who called me out for it. I'd love to hear your thoughts - but you will have to deliver them in a cogent manner, don't expect me or anyone else to do that for you.

Hey, RW...good to see you my friend.

Go back and read #264 and #399...sets the current tone.

No, just a picture I found.

Our cat is a black/silvergrey tabby with white socks and belly. He was a shelter kitteh.

I have had shelter cats before, and they were wonderful. My latest was a roof cat.

Evening 3 wood - 3 degrees, huh? well we're at 44 now but that's supposed to be our high temp tomorrow.
Still and all - maybe the Southland is a warmer place to live, even in winter! LOL!
Checked e-mail and replied to #'s 1 and 2, but not yet to #3! Will get to that later tonight or tomorrow morning - it didn't seem urgent!

He's a real cool cat. They hand-raised him; he has always been gentle and patient with the local ape population. ;)

'MeatPopsicle' is a profanity?
It just came to mind when deciding on a nick because I read it in a sci-fi book that included a person who was frozen for a few hundred years then reanimated... and it was a line by Bruce Willis playing Korben (sp?)Dallas in the movie 'Fifth Element'.
damn. what's the profane definition?

Fredo, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do.

I think they thought your sig referred to the penis. I know you didn't mean it that way. Also, please stop downdinging Mandy. Cool out a bit. It is true LGF is a somewhat bitter place right now, but can you blame us? Obama's antics have put most of us in a foul mood. Cut us some slack.

Meat pop is profanity. . .my delicate condition cannot take the association of the nic and my recent event. . .had one . . .ONE and got two TWO!

sigh, sorry, just tired. . .

I'm not so certain about anyone elses, in the slightest, but my penis is warm. About 96.5 degrees or so I'm assuming. It sure ain't no popsicle. So I doubt that's the 'profane' meaning Spare O'Lake had in mind. I guess I won't know for sure unless Spare O'Lake decides to take the time to try to clarify just as I did.

Otherwise, Mandy "Manners" (oxymoron) is a terrible person with a vile mouth. Assuming MandyManners is a female, she's no lady. And getting all hostile and verklempt on eachother over Obama's antics does nothing but breed hostility and contempt for eachother when unification and strengthening is most needed.

But I get your point and I appreciate your polite way of stating it. I further regret my own impolite jabs earlier at some person(s), without naming names but they know who they are, in the public forum.

re: #399 MeatPopsicle

I have no idea why that is and it troubles me to see it up close and personal.

Are you purposefully trying to piss in peoples' Wheaties or do you not know any better?

Fredo is Michael Corleone's foolish brother in The Godfather, whom Michael ultimately has killed. To refer to someone as "Fredo" is to say that they are a fool with an overly high opinion of themselves.

If you think "meatpopsicle is a troll, get Charles to see if "his" website matches the locationof his personal IP. Frankly, It looks like someone has adopted a site (fairly racist) and posed it as their own. Sorry if this is unfair, but meatpopsicles comments, do not seem to match the comments on "his"site. Further, he does not allow comments on his site, yet he comments here somewhat antagonisticly. Also "his" 'site has a yahoo dispose-a-mail address. If I'm out of line, so be it, but he doesn't allow comments on his own blog, but he comes here and talks trash.

Well, I lurk a helluva lot more than I post here and I see her calling people terrible names and viciously berating people all the time so I disagree about her 'voice' being of any value other than getting people all riled up and bringing out the pack mentality.

Disagreeing with someone is all fine and good. Civil discourse should be the repsonse, not flaming people with a frothing spittle spewing mouth. I think it makes LGF and everyone here look bad and it lends credence to some of the claims about this site from the lefty lunatics at their sites.

thereligionofpeace.com is not my website. I have never claimed it as my own. I simply added it to my profile. It is a fairly well known website that tracks the actions and antics of the extremist Islamic world and their terrorist activities. I don't think it's racist, but just what it appears to be, a tracking site, of sorts, of terrorist activities. I'm pretty sure Charles is aware of that site and if he feels that it should not be added to my profile, I will happily remove it from same.

It’s a small thing, but definitely a step in the right direction. This how Al-Qaeda lost their support in Iraq.

Hopefully, if these types of attitudes become more common, Israel will be able to put them to good use. Even better, the Palestinians police themselves. Either way, both are a long shot.

Hope for the best, plan for the worse. (I apologize for using the word “hope” but I am taking it back)

564 BLBfootballs  Sat, Jan 24, 2009 10:56:46pm
“I used to support Hamas because they fought for our country, for Palestine,” says Sadala. Hamas stood for a new start, for an end of corruption.... Gesticulating wildly, the 52-year-old surveyed the ruins of the bedroom: “That is the change that they brought about. We were blasted back 2,000 years.”

"We're all shocked! Just SHOCKED that Hamas planned to continue its terrorism all along.... Whowouldathunkit?"

If this is the intellectual level of the average Palestinian voter, I can kind of understand why leftists insist on treating them like helpless children.

565 Ziggy  Sun, Jan 25, 2009 3:04:20am

2006 Gazans vote for change and elect Hamas...their set back 200 years
2008 Americans vote for change and elect Barack Obama...how far back are we going? Gazan voters not much brighter than Americans it seems. I just wonder if Obamatrons will ever acknowledge their mistake or will George Bush be the whipping boy for the next decade.
