Iranian Fist Thoroughly Clenched

World • Views: 2,210

Today Iranian thug-in-chief Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave an award to a baby-killing terrorist: Iran honors murderer Samir Kuntar.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad awarded murderer Samir Kuntar an honorary statuette Thursday during a ceremony in honor of former political prisoners from Iran and the world.

The state-owned IRNA reported that Kuntar arrived in Iran with the former captors of Ron Arad, Mustafa Dirani and Sheikh Abdel Karim Obeid, to receive honors for their imprisonment in Israel and their share in “supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance.”

Kuntar received a statuette featuring two prisoners attempting to break through the bars of a prison. During a press conference, the convicted murderer praised Iran for its contribution to Hamas and Hizbullah.

“The Islamic revolution in Iran has a big part in the victories of the years 2000, 2006, and the most recent victory of the people of Gaza,” he told reporters.

During the ceremony Kuntar said, “We must resist the American occupation because the Americans support dictatorship, and in the region we must resist the Zionist regime and destroy it.”

Aw, come on! Unclench your fist!

I'm completely in favor of using Sami Kuntar to attempt to break through the bars of a prison. I'll need to do a little homework on the required velocity.

This is not going to make a damn bit of difference to President Hussein O or his leftist supporters. He will cut Iran all the slack in the world. President O will keep talking and talking, but he will take no real action against them. Terrorism just isn't that high on his list of priorities.

From Today's State Department Briefing:

QUESTION: Yeah, keep trying. So is the State Department helping President Obama draft a letter to President Ahmadinejad, and what’s the status of that letter?

MR. WOOD: Look, what I can tell you – and I’ve had a number of conversations this morning about this issue. Nobody from the Administration has tasked anyone within the White House, the State Department, to draft any letter to the Iranians.

Now, there is a review underway, as you know, on Iran, and there are lots of ideas that are being bandied about. But until that review is completed, we’re not going to be able to outline how we’re going to go forward with regard to engaging Iran.

Would anyone like to guess the contents of that letter that the State Department is lying about?

We could be sitting in BHO's limo and the road signs would read "Peace", "Love" "Tolerance", "Respect",

Then would have a view from Dinnerjacket's car, travelling in the opposite direction. The road signs would read "Kill the Infidel", "Submit to allah", "Death to America", "Obliterate the Zionist entity"

BHO needs to turn his limo around and see the signs on the other side of the street.

"But it is not enough for the organizer to be in solidarity with the people. He must also, said Alinsky, cultivate unity against a clearly identifiable enemy; he must specifically name this foe, and “singl[e] out”[44] precisely who is to blame for the “particular evil” that is the source of the people’s angst.[45] In other words, there must be a face associated with the people’s discontent. That face, Alinsky taught, “must be a personification, not something general and abstract like a corporation or City Hall.”[46] Rather, it should be an individual such as a CEO, a mayor, or a president.

Alinsky summarized it this way: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it…. [T]here is no point to tactics unless one has a target upon which to center the attacks.”[47] He held that the organizer’s task was to cultivate in people’s hearts a negative, visceral emotional response to the face of the enemy. “The organizer who forgets the significance of personal identification,” said Alinsky, “will attempt to answer all objections on the basis of logic and merit. With few exceptions this is a futile procedure.”

Like I said before in a previous post, the Iranian regime already knows the US stance on various issues. There's nothing Obamble can do about this. The Iranian regime was founded on its hostility towards America in 1979. Take that away from the Mullahs and they will drop dead. Mullahs want to be the enemies of the American people/govt because it serves them well. Obamble is going to weaken the US stance in the world.

OK - Late Afternoon shift on board, I think.

For those who missed it on earlier threads, preview the LGF cookbook covers, and get some updated information.

The files are uploaded; I have ordered a copy to "preview" to make sure it's everything it's supposed to be before I open up the sales. I should get the copy in about 2 weeks, will fix any glitches if there are any, and then we'll be set to go.

can we still submit recipes.

And he has a syndicated program, which is successful, profitable, and a sure money winner for stations. It will be interesting to see how the left - so entrenched in media - can reconcile the desire to shut down Rush with the reality of large paydays. The tree is known by its fruit. Islam is what Islam does.

137 lostlakehiker  Thu, Jan 29, 2009 4:38:21pm

Speaking to President-because-the-council-of-Ayatollahs-wills-it Ahmadinejad, he said:

“The Islamic revolution in Iran has a big part in the victories of the years 2000, 2006, and the most recent victory of the people of Gaza,” he told reporters.

During the ceremony Kuntar said, “We must resist the American occupation because the Americans support dictatorship, and in the region we must resist the Zionist regime and destroy it.”

Let's see. Famous dictators the U.S. supported: Kaiser Wilhelm? Lenin? nope
Hitler? Tojo? Mussolini? Stalin [well, against Hitler, but that doesn't count]. Mao? Castro? Saddam Hussein? Gadaffi? Milosevic?

Keep trying.

Maybe he means we supported Pinochet and he's wanting to resist the American occupation of Chile. Not much of a dictatorship there these days, though, is there?

The elected government of Iraq has its own ideas about when and how American troops, who are not in any case an army of occupation, should leave. In Afghanistan, perhaps we are to some extent occupying parts of the place that side with the Taliban and al Qaeda. They started that war, and if we occupy Kandahar and they don't occupy Kentucky, well, looks like we're winning.

But who can say that the president of Afghanistan is a dictator? Be real!

What would it mean for Hamas if they did defeat Israel? Imagine a peaceful settlement in which all Israelis just get on boats and scatter to the corners of the earth. The Gazans move in, break all the greenhouses, and remake Israel in the image of Gaza. Since there is no further reason for Iran or Saudi Arabia or Europe to fund them, they have to make do with the fruits of their own labor. That won't get them very far. Life will be nastier, more brutish, and shorter than it is now. By a long shot.

Is this what they want?

I do not know how to make this any more clear. Means + Motive + Opportunity = elements of action, or, in this case, violent action. Iran has repeatedly stated their intentions, so they have already formed the motive. They will act at their first opportunity. All they are lacking are the means. What will it take in order to shake the general public out of their naivete and gullible assumptions ? Heaven help us that Barry's first phone call from Reality be a gentle one. I fear, however, that Iran will go about their business unimpeded, gathering the three elements I have listed above, and the results will be something truly ghoulish and ghastly.

THEIR STRATEGY WILL BACKFIRE. NOW EVERY FREAKIN ARAB WILL WANT TO BE A PRISONER IN ISRAEL. Their chance of survival in an Israeli prison is quite high and they will get health care, statues, and commendations from presidents, dictators, and Imams from all over. It is even better than 72 promised virgins.
