That’s pretty sad - when the President of Afghanistan - whose asses we pulled out of the fire of the Taliban - has to lecture OUR president on judgment and statesmanship. Im’m not saying Barry don’t need all the help he can get, but jeez!

Founder of Network Promoting Positive Muslim Image Arrested - For beheading Wife
Greg Mitchell, editor of Editor & Publisher, reported on Friday that Muzzammil Hassan, “a prominent Buffalo area businessman who founded the BridgesTV network to improve the image of Muslims in the U.S.,” had been charged with second-degree murder in the beheading death of his wife Aasiya Z. Hassan. Mitchell quoted from the network’s website, which described Mrs. Hassan’s “instrumental role in the creation of BridgesTV since she came up with the idea for the network.” The picture of the couple is still up on the website.

I do not know whether to start by picking my jaw up off the ground or to start laughing. This is almost the dumbest statement I have heard in a long time.
The dumbest statement I have ever heard was from my supervisor. “Steve you are a valuable employee.” That was two days before I was laid off.

It’s a never ending source of unhappiness for me: I try to link a current event to what I think will be a well-known historical event only to meet with an awkward silence. Whereupon I realize I’m the only person in the room who actually knows much about history. After that I usually end up explaining the event in question while Santayana’s observation runs through my head. The bright spot is that about every 8th time this happens, I actually motivate someone to research the event in question.

So, plan.
1. Who runs against Snowe, Collins and Spector.
2. How do we get the RNC and the Senate Republican leadership to drop these three RINO’s, as the lesson must be learned now and clear or more will take some $ bait on some other issue.
3. If the RNC and Senate Republican leadership will not act in 10 days who and how do we select to send the message to them so’s they understand better and get to work.
Whoever runs against Snowe, Collins, and Specter in the primary will likely get clobbered by the Democrat in the general. Snowe, Collins, and Specter get re-elected because of seniority and their ability to bring home the bacon. Maine is a liberal state and Pennsylvania is in the death grip of urban liberals in Philadelphia and union members elsewhere.
Nothing will happen because (believe it or not) Snowe, Collins, and Specter are absolutely necessary to maintaining a credible filibuster threat. And while they didn’t filibuster this time, every GOP vote forces a Dem to go on the record with the Senate leadership. Every single Dem in conservative states is now on the record in supporting this beast.

I hear you. Mine are grown and I’m proud to say both are strong conservatives. They got the standard brainwashing but it was fairly easy to overcome. I focused on teaching them critical thinking. Once you give them that, innate common sense takes over. And common sense is the libtard commie bastards biggest enemy. That’s why they’ve removed critical thinking from the curriculum.

A “bunker mentality” is a reflection of paranoia: folks are out to get you. If Karzai has a bunker mentality, he has good reason for this. Right now, with this fellow in the White House, a bunker mentality is a good thing for all of us to have. Not yet one month in office, and I feel like the ship is listing a little too far to port.
