Divorce is a highly emotionally charged event… plenty of people react badly in those circumstances… this is surely true. Some folks may completely snap and murder their soon-to-be exes… a crime that knows no boundaries.
This is not the case here. He didn’t simply murder her, he frickin’ beheaded her!
This is an act steeped in religion/culture… it is designed to desecrate as much as kill… it is meant to intimidate other Muslim wives in the West as much as destroy this one wife in particular.
Don’t let anybody tell you this is just like any other murder-during-divorce tragedy… this is a statement about his faith — he’s saying it will have its way despite US courts and laws. He chose the least civilized way possible to resolve this… and show whose morality is really important to him.

We actually had an awful crime in this area a few years ago, where one child was beheaded, two almost so. They were slaughtered - beaten with a baseball bat, choked, etc. They all had defensive wounds. The killers were related to two of the children - an uncle, and the uncle’s cousin. The killers were 22 and 17 years of age.
The victims and the killers were all illegal aliens.
The killers are now serving life in prison at our expense. They currently have some fine American attorneys working to get their convictions thrown out on a technicality, which would mean a new, expensive trial, after the last, expensive, very long trial.

I realize they are not the best of friends and don’t see eye to eye, but that’s their business. I’m just glad that they both made it out and are in the west where they can do what the hell they want to do.
