Obama Killing People in Pakistan

World • Views: 3,215

Q: When do US airstrikes in Pakistan actually kill Al Qaeda and Taliban “fighters,” and not “innocent women and children?”

A: When they’re ordered by Barack Obama.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Two missiles fired from American drone aircraft killed more than 30 people, including Al Qaeda and Taliban fighters, near the Pakistani border with Afghanistan Saturday , according to a Pakistani intelligence official and local residents.

Israel rules out Gaza truce unless soldier freed

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel said on Saturday it would not agree to a longer term truce with the Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip unless an Israeli soldier held by the Islamists was freed.

Israel had tied a full opening of its border crossings with Gaza, a Hamas condition for a ceasefire, with the release of Gilad Shalit, held captive in Gaza since 2006 when he was kidnapped in a cross-border raid.

"The prime minister's position is that Israel will not reach understandings on a truce before the release of Gilad Shalit," Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's office said in a statement.

"The drone attack also comes after a statement in Congress on Thursday by Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California and the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, that the aircraft take off from a base in Pakistan.

“As I understand it, these are flown out of a Pakistani base,” Ms. Feinstein said during a hearing attended by the director of United States national intelligence, Adm. Dennis C. Blair.

The drone attacks, especially in the last six months, have increased anti-American sentiment in Pakistan to very high levels, and Ms. Feinstein’s statement is likely to further inflame the protests over them. Her statement was prominently covered by the Pakistani press on Saturday morning."

Missiles hit compound in Pakistan
About 30 die in the attack, apparently by a U.S. drone. The dead are believed linked to the Taliban or Al Qaeda.

Most of those killed were thought to be militants linked to the Taliban or Al Qaeda.
....
Local sources said the dead included Arabs and Uzbeks. Generally, the presence of foreign militants is a sign of links to Al Qaeda.
....
Taliban fighters surrounded the flattened compound, preventing outsiders from approaching.

You never would have seen this type of a few months ago.

Feinstein comment on U.S. drones likely to embarrass Pakistan

A senior U.S. lawmaker said Thursday that unmanned CIA Predator aircraft operating in Pakistan are flown from an air base in that country, a revelation likely to embarrass the Pakistani government and complicate its counter-terrorism collaboration with the United States.

The disclosure by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, marked the first time a U.S. official had publicly commented on where the Predator aircraft patrolling Pakistan take off and land.

At a hearing, Feinstein expressed surprise over Pakistani opposition to the campaign of Predator-launched CIA missile strikes against Islamic extremist targets along Pakistan's northwestern border.

"As I understand it, these are flown out of a Pakistani base," she said.

The basing of the pilotless aircraft in Pakistan suggests a much deeper relationship with the United States on counter-terrorism matters than has been publicly acknowledged. Such an arrangement would be at odds with protests lodged by officials in Islamabad, the capital, and could inflame anti-American sentiment in the country.

The CIA declined to comment, but former U.S. intelligence officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information, confirmed that Feinstein's account was accurate.

First paragraph of the AP story in today's paper:

In a major victory for President Barack Obama, Democrats muscled a $787 billion stimulus bill through Congress late Friday in hopes of combating the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Republican opposition was nearly unanimous.

1. Why did it have to be "muscled through" when both houses of Congress are Democrat-controlled?
2. It is not the worst crisis since the Depression. Carter's era of malaise beats the current conditions by a mile.
3. Nice juxtaposition of the Republican vote. Makes it seem like they want another Depression.

Actually, Obama is entirely innocent of involvement in this war crime.

The missiles were fired during the Bush administration!

Yes, this was an ESDOM attack. ESDOMs are a new weapon developed for the US military by Halliburton: the Extremely Slow Drone-to-Orphan Missile. They take about four weeks to reach their targets.

That way, outgoing administrations can fire a bunch of missiles on their last day in office, and they won't actually explode and kill the orphans until the next administration is installed -- and has to take the blame!

GM considering Chapter 11 filing, new company: report

General Motors Corp, nearing a Tuesday deadline to present a viability plan to the U.S. government, is considering as one option a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing that would create a new company, the Wall Street Journal said in its Saturday edition.

"One plan includes a Chapter 11 filing that would assemble all of GM's viable assets, including some U.S. brands and international operations, into a new company," the newspaper said. "The undesirable assets would be liquidated or sold under protection of a bankruptcy court. Contracts with bondholders, unions, dealers and suppliers would also be reworked."

Aren't we just making more terrorists?

Hello Mullah, hello Mahdi
Here I am at
Camp Jihadi
We are learning
Death and destruction
And for these heinous acts
I have no fear and no compunction.

You remember
When I was younger
For this evil
I had no hunger
But now now I hear the
Words of Allah
And cannot wait to bomb the sites
From Rabat to Ramallah

All the clerics
Hate western values
And moreover
They also hate Jews
These ideas are
Enough to go on
'Cause the clerics all insist they're in the Koran.

Now I don't want
You to worry
When I tell my horror story
My friend Hamsi, the instigator
Blew up when he set off his detonator.

Leave me here, oh dear parents
Leave me here, the training's intense
Please, don't take me back to where
I might be recruited by CAIR

Dearest parents
May I ask you
How's my brother
Little Abu?
Is he still
Restless and wild?
And do you see him as another
Sacrificial child?

This here letter
Contains my last words
My final meal
Of bread and goat kurds
My skills are honed
Like a surgeon's
Now I'm off to claim
My rightful virgins.

Afghan diplomat Mohammed Fagirad charged in all-day wife beating

An Afghan diplomat was charged Friday with beating his wife "like a dog" for more than 15 hours in their Queens home, prosecutors said.

Mohammed Fagirad, 30, a vice consul at the Afghanistan Consulate, brutalized his wife inside their Flushing home from about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until nearly midnight, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

During the attack, Fagirad bit, slapped, choked and beat the 22-year-old woman with a belt, pushed her down a flight of stairs and sat on her chest, prosecutors said.

At one point, prosecutors said, Fagirad threw his wife up against a wall, held her there by the neck and then let her drop to the floor, where he beat her with a belt.

Fagirad told police his "wife was a dog and he was going to treat her like a dog," prosecutors said.

This is the bright side of Obama's presidency; The MSM and liberals are gradually becoming supporters of the GWoT.

This doesn't comfort me at all. The biggest redeeming quality of the Lestist hordes is their commitment to pacifism. While being naive, it is at least admirable. Highlighting that they think murder is ok when one of their buddies does it is effing terrifying. The view that the beliefs and actions of the person killed isn't the deciding factor on whether or not they deserved it, or it was necessary, but instead the beliefs of the one doing the killing is utter madness.

Huffington Post has a single Getty sourced picture (of something other then this strike) with the headline "US missile strike kills 27 in Pakistan."

27 what Huffpuffers?

The Huffers also have this AP story...

AP %P% STEPHEN GRAHAM %P% February 14, 2009 at 12:20 PM

ISLAMABAD — Dozens of followers of Pakistan's top Taliban (R- wrong) commander were in a compound when a suspected (R- who else's would it be?) U.S. missile attack hit Saturday, killing 27 militants (R - Miliwhats?) in an al-Qaida (R - Not really, Uzbek allies of al-Q) stronghold (R - not so strong eh?) near the Afghan border (R- everything in Pakistan is near the Afghan border), officials (R-whatever) said.

The strike appeared to be the deadliest (R -wrong again) yet by the American drone aircraft that prowl the frontier, and defied Pakistani warnings that the tactic is fueling extremism in the nuclear-armed Islamic nation.

...and the Huffers comments are hilariously idiotic...

AS
EXPECTED,

01. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.

02. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.

03. No one expects you to run--anywhere.

04. People call at 9 pm and ask, did I wake you?

05. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.

06. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.

07. Things you buy now won't wear out.

08. You can eat supper at 4 pm.

09. You can live without sex but not your glasses.

10. You get into heated arguments about pension plans.

11. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.

12. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.

13. You sing along with elevator music.

14. Your eyes won't get much worse.

15. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.

16. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.

17. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.

18. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to a manageable size.

Berg, a longtime antiwar activist, was involved in the protests against the Vietnam War beginning in 1965. According to his website, "In 1991, when the United States invaded Iraq in the Gulf War, Berg intensified his protest activities despite reprimands from his school's administrator. He has protested the Bush administration's invasion of Iraq as well, organizing local marches, protests, and vigils and traveling to Washington, D.C."[

The attack followed a visit to Pakistan last week by Richard C. Holbrooke, the special American envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, that was part of a review of American policy in the region ordered by President Obama.

During his visit, Mr. Holbrooke heard a litany of complaints about drone strikes, some of which have inadvertently killed civilians, making it harder for the country’s shaky government to win support for its own military operations against the Taliban.

Richard Holbrooke visits Pakistan last week, hears "litany" of complaints about drone strikes, orders drones to stop targeting civilians and start targeting bad guys, That's Obama Change!

Oh, Henrietta. Say it ain't so. This woman had property worth $147,000. Her son was offered help to get a job. Oh no, not a job! Blasphemy! Give Henrietta another kiss Barry.

However, a local organization is coming forward saying Hughes isn’t being honest about how much help she’s had in the past.

The director of We Care Outreach Ministry, Tanya Johnson, says just last month she offered Henrietta Hughes permanent housing and a place to stay free for three months, but Hughes refused.

"We would have allowed her to stay for the first 90 days, no income. You know free," said Tanya Johnson.

We Care Outreach Ministry is a faith based organization in Fort Myers.

Johnson says she also gave Henrietta and her son Corey, money, food and offered Corey job training courses, but it was refused.

...

Has this property been sold in 2005, a transfer would have been recorded since the county records not only purchases but sales as well. Also, why would someone sell a property they paid at least $124,000.00 for in June, 2001 for $47,000.00 in 2005 when market prices were still high?

The fact is this scam artist did not sell her property that was jointly owned with her son, Corey Lamont, from day one. What she did do was sign a quit claim deed in 2006, giving TOTAL ownership to her son Corey Lamont. I would guess this is because the value of the property would affect SSDI benefits along with Medicare/Medicaid. It would also affect any welfare she might be eligible for under SSDI. My guess is she applied for SSDI and was told that she could only have so much worth. Yet, the 2004 Rochester, NY article states she is already receiving Medicare/Medicaid.

It is also interesting that in 2004, Corey Lamont Hughes sought, and received, free medical treatment in Rochester, NY while he and his mother were still owners of property in Florida…

If the people on top at GM had brains, they would say no to government money (government loans), file for Chapter 11 protection, re-organize, cut the bull and purge the UAW. Also, Ditch the bad products, focus on what sells and retool for the future and ( say FU to the government and their nanny nagging ) and emerge profitable. (Alas - that business model no longer works in Pelosi/Redi/Obama America)

GM will have to do that if it wants to stay around. They cannot expect the government to give them an never ending bailout. Until they change the way they do business, they will not be able to function. Too much revenue is allocated to benefits and pensions, and the current workers need to learn to live with less. Or, GM will disappear and the retirees and workers will get nada.

Apparently they don't so much teach forgiveness as they teach the displacement of blame onto society (or Bush as the case may be). Deflecting blame onto another party, and denying personal responsibility isn't real forgiveness. That is in fact what a lot of Northeastern-centered theology does though.

Forgiving people while simultaneously admitting that they are willingly committing evil deeds is really, really hard, so a stand in for the actual perpetrators is needed to blame instead. You get the cathartic outlet of hating the evil one, as well as the feel-good high from being so compassionate and enlightened. The traditional stand in, Satan, is too redneck for the Bergs of the world. Their theology needs to be intellectually up to snuff. They have a New Devil; known by the Mark of the W.

You also see the common theme of scapegoating to avoid laying blame at our own feet for our own faults and problems among the same crowd. Of course with Satan to blame, there really isn't much of a down side since no one is ever going to get their hands on the poor devil and make him pay. Transfer that scapegoating to actual people and groups in the real world and we have a serious problem. Society is to blame! Destroy it!

Read his bio. He was out where the busses don't run LONG before hos son got offed!

What are Mr Berg's activities now Zero is in office?

Yeah, it's a stupid double standard. No, it isn't any different than when Bush drones and airstrikes killed them. But, you know what? I'm all for blasting the MFs, so if it's a "good thing" just because Obama was elected, then let all hell rain down on them. Pound them day and night, night and day, and Obama can think he's some kind of Wunderkind.

I really don't care, so long as they're getting blasted. All the better if they're getting blasted by someone with immunity from criticism. I'll take it any way we can get it.
