I don't always agree with Rush but he is hitting it out of the park.
And the teleprompter line was just priceless.

Rock solid conservative conviction. We didn't see 1/10th of this conviction from one candidate in the primaries.

I don't care what anyone says. Rush is a MUCH better speaker than Obama.
And as I write ... yes, Rush does have better communication skills.

Quite frankly, I really don't listen to him that often. Nor do I agree with some of his positions.
But as a vet, given the choice of support historically by him for our brothers in arms, versus those on the left like Kutcher, or Afleck.

re: #121 Killgore Trout
Perhaps they aren't wasteful. Sort of the same point I made earlier in the month about corporate jets - Corporate jets employ people. The pilot, the crew, the person who fuels the plan, the control tower operator, the person who refines the fuel, etc. These are the things that keep the economy going.

re: #113 wrenchwench
He has addressed it on his website. See the link in this comment.
From reading the transcript, Rush has his signals crossed. He is accusing Darwinism of not having the answers to the origins of life. Rush needs to do more research. Darwinism doesn't claim to prove the origins of life but the origins of species. Rush hasn't adequately researched the issue and needs to read LGF.

He's standing up for spending, which is stimulus.
And he's right.
Money spent trickles down to the workmen - the "little people" who do the work or make the fittings and furnishings.

If I had the time to try and call I would. It may be a religious conviction but even I as a Christian, who has researched the evolution vs. ID debate, have discovered that evolution and Christianity work really well together and as I have posted before, I firmly believe evolution is actually in the biblical account of creation. If it is a religious conviction, Rush needs to discover the same truth I have and realize that folks like Jindal will only help elect more democrats. Jindal isn't the future of this party; solid candidates with a pro-science, limited government, low tax, and fiscal responsibility platform are!

Perhaps they aren't wasteful. Sort of the same point I made earlier in the month about corporate jets - Corporate jets employ people. It was great publicity! I bet a lot of people tuned in to hear the "horror" of Rush - only to find out he makes a heck of a lot of sense.
I was on a Seattle Metro bush one day coming back from the UW. We passed a another bus with a wrap around Rush ad. Two girls with about 40 piercing between them were sitting in front of me.
One asked, "Who's Rush?"
The other answers, "That right wing hate guy on radio."
First one, "Oh, yeah, I hate him."

Now, I would prefer that Obama steer a course of fiscal responsibility, smaller government and continued projection of freedom abroad. But people seem to be confusing political preference with reality. This is not November. This is February.

The company I work for has gutted the staff to half. We'll get by only because we took drastic measures now.
We have been under a reduced hours regimen for the last month. It will continue for at least the next month with our first round of layoffs coming mid to late March. My office is being eliminated and folded into the corporate headquarters at the end of March.
I have some serious doubts about whether the company will even survive to July.
The future is uncertain, except that it will definitely be very different from what it was going to be a year ago.

I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll be okay. The staff's been cut in half, and other expenses have been drastically reduced. We had more work in the last two weeks than we've had in the last two months. But only because my boss cut all his losses but the bare bones. That being said, the American radio talk show host I am now looking towards the most for moral support to stay sane during the Obama administration is Mark Levin. He's not as much of an entertainer or a natural-born "radio guy" as Limbaugh, but, on an intellectual level, I simply feel I get "more" out of an hour of Levin than I do out of an hour of Limbaugh. Like Limbaugh's the better spokesman, but Levin is the brains behind the operation, almost as though Levin is the Karl Rove to Limbaugh's George Bush Jr., if George Bush Jr. had been a better orator.

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'
FDR wasn't president, there was no TV(outside of theory-or very, very crude machines) for the guy who wasn't president to talk to the people, and FDR never said, Look, here's what happened.
It has to be about the dumbest thing any politician ever said!

In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died—an entire town destroyed" May 6th, 2007
Perhaps that is as stupid as Biden...still, Biden made so many mistakes in so few lines....

Mileage tax being floated here in MA as well. On top of a 19 cent increase in the gas tax and recently approved toll hikes on the Mass Pike and Harbor Tunnels. At the new toll rate it would cost someone driving from Metro West to the airport and back $16.00 in tolls alone.
Anyone who wants a glimpse into the nation's future need not look any further than MA. Deval Patrick is Obama's bud - cut from the same cloth and campaigned on the same feel good platform. His slogan was "Together We Can" - pffthh.
Don't forget he was the originator of the "Just words" speech Obama gave and the libs ate right up.

How far out do you have to go before Biden is popular?

Where is the link to Rush (Part 1) and Ann (Part 1). I got everything else. I'll put it on my iPod and listen to it going to work.

Great speech to read, the transcript that is! Rush is positive as usual and explains quite well why, and how, he want President Obama's policies to fail. Well done, sir!

Biden is one of the most gafftastic politicians ever. He just does not care what comes out of his mouth. He recently gave details about spending stimulus for small business saying that if there was no bridge to the business BHO's plan would build one. He truly is an idiot.

How absolutely wonderful he was I love Rush and here is why..
He is a rich white man who feels no guilt about either, he is not PC and he sells conservatism better than most though I would say Mark Levin does better just his anger "scares" some away....I LOVE HIM though :-0
I suspect the idiot Olbermann will have Rush as his worst person evah because he beat up his favorite person in the whole wide world...The One!

Just read through this thread after viewing video of the entire Rush Limbaugh speech, which I will rate a +10. Those of you bringing up the Darwin evolution theory as a prism through which you must see every event are becoming very tiresome. At the risk of sounding like a moonbat idiot, can't we live in "now" sometimes and deal with issues in a more pragmatic way? Rush is a capitalist. That's fine with me. I don't mind disagreeing with him on other issues - must everything be about "evolution vs. creationism vs. ID? Geez. Way to kill dialogue on the many other things we need to discuss.

I have to hear it. Glad it went so well to many who heard it.
I have been resting, to deal with the pain, so I missed it.
When on the road, I listened to Rush and the Underground Bunker to pass the time. As a Rock music fan, you can only hear the same songs for awhile till you need a brake. Country in fine for awhile, but I hate rap and pop. I am going to get some CD's that has Charles on them. But I have to get my new car (its an old one that needs work) in shape and put in a CD player. Any first choosiest I should try? My wife (god love her) wants to make sure I get well enough to work. I am too impatient some times. But the last thing I want is to be stupid and end up going backwards.
