Iran immortalizes another terrorist:
Shehad Imad Mugniyah Street is named after the mysterious top Hezbollah military commander who was killed in a car bomb in Damascus on February 12, 2008, an operation that Hezbollah has blamed on Israel. Mugniyah, who held a prominent place on American and Israeli most-wanted lists for years, allegedly spearheaded a string of attacks in the 1980s and 1990s, including the abduction of Western hostages in Lebanon, a plane hijacking and an attack on a Jewish retirement home in Argentina.

more on the Cassel trade to the Chiefs. According to Peter King from SI:
The move leaves the Patriots with three second-round picks in the 2009 draft and, as usual, puts New England in position to be a power-broker on draft day. No team has more than New England's four first-day draft choices; the Pats also have their own pick in the first round.
That could be why they so readily accepted a 2nd round pick.

These wolves are now killing coyotes and cougars here.
I found the fresh elk kill midmorning, and it was gone by evening.
I carry a shotgun when I go walking these days.

Did you read the story Charles linked?
I skimmed it... but there is a disconnect between the claim in that article and the information (or lack thereof) on the NPC site... This disconnect probably would be worth a deeper investigation but I don't have time now.

Nah. Just rack a round.

We sought a government that served not the interests of powerful lobbyists or the wealthiest few, but the middle-class Americans I met every day in every community along the campaign trail – responsible men and women who are working harder than ever, worrying about their jobs, and struggling to raise their families. In so many town halls and backyards, they spoke of their hopes for a government that finally confronts the challenges that their families face every day; a government that treats their tax dollars as responsibly as they treat their own hard-earned paychecks. That is the change I promised as a candidate for president. It is the change the American people voted for in November. And it is the change represented by the budget I sent to Congress this week.
[snip]
This budget also reflects the stark reality of what we’ve inherited – a trillion dollar deficit, a financial crisis, and a costly recession. Given this reality, we’ll have to be more vigilant than ever in eliminating the programs we don’t need in order to make room for the investments we do need. I promised to do this by going through the federal budget page by page, and line by line. That is a process we have already begun, and I am pleased to say that we’ve already identified two trillion dollars worth of deficit-reductions over the next decade. We’ve also restored a sense of honesty and transparency to our budget, which is why this one accounts for spending that was hidden or left out under the old rules.
GAH!

This is no lie: I saw seven wolves this morning not far from my house. And in the last month, they've killed two deer and an elk on our road.
What wierds me out is the I never saw a wolf before January 20. Now I have them at my back door.
Mere coincidence? I think not.
Don't worry. 0bama will tell them to unclench their teeth.
Wait, that doesn't sound right.

I'm not saying he did. But if there really was a "packed audience" as some claim, then I wonder why the event isn't noticed on the NPC website?

wheres here? we only have a few wolves dispersed in the mountains in colorado... and im positive the coyotes over the last 80-100 years have grown bigger to fit the apex predator role around here going after antelope and not just jackrabbits
259 | freetoken Sat, Feb 28, 2009 6:11:02pm |
To be more clear... my current thought is that Wilders was at the NPC facility in DC, which the NPC lease out to various groups and not only use for their own official NPC meetings.
