Atlas Shrugs Promoting Neo-Nazi Agitprop

Blogosphere | Sun, Mar 1, 2009 at 9:25:55 am PST

Here’s a tale of the kind of sheer idiocy that gives blogs a bad name, as Pamela Geller has another meltdown: Atlas Shrugs: OBAMA GRANTS EMINENT DOMAIN RIGHTS TO AMERICAN LAND TO CHINA.

The story may have originated with this Bloomberg article, about the Chinese asking Obama for assurances that the US will support the dollar’s exchange rate, to protect their $682 billion holdings of American debt.

Notice that the words “eminent domain” do not appear in the Bloomberg article. That’s because such a ridiculous thing is not being discussed. By anyone.

So where does Pamela Geller’s latest overheated kookspiracy theory come from? An “unsourced” post at LiveLeak.com: Feds grant eminent domain as collateral to China for US debts.

Google this title and you discover the real source at the bottom of this ugly little hoax: infamous white supremacist nutjob Hal Turner: FEDS GRANT EMINENT DOMAIN AS COLLATERAL TO CHINA FOR U.S. DEBTS!

Have a look through the comments posted at that page, if you have a strong stomach.

Someone might want to let Geller know she’s running agitprop from neo-Nazis again.

The Anti-Defamation League has a collection of some of Turner’s other statements: Hal Turner in His Own Words.

Instead of fighting Muslims, we Christians should be rounding up jews [sic] and killing them here in America. We should bomb their Synagogues, burn down their Yeshivas and violently attack them on the street and in their places of business. I advocate extreme violence against jews [sic] because their history as a people make them worthy of being killed. Jews are the lowest form of sub-human garbage. They deserve to be killed.

This is what happens when you don’t care and don’t check where your blog posts come from.

(Hat tip: Thanos.)

The bad thing about this is that Hal Turner is on the edge of being a dangerous nutball. If you go to some of the past articles on him you can see that he's said things like "I'm not a bomber, I create bombers."

This is what happens when you don’t care and don’t check where your blog posts come from.

Boy, don't I know that! I've learned several times now to be EXTREMELY careful when sourcing things. In particular, when I was writing that big essay during the campaign about Obama's experience in 1981 in New York to check, double-check, triple-check and quadruple-check every single tidbit, if I wanted to maintain credibility. And hoo-boy, I ran into and then discarded all sorts of speculation and unverified "facts" from all sorts of sources. I eneded up jettisoning them all -- even if, as a consequence, my essay was far weaker and less interesting than I had hoped it would be. But I had to do my best to not let my wishful thinking interfere with a completely accurate presentation of the facts. It was a struggle, but factuality won out over conspiracy-theorizing.

It makes blogging a lot more difficult, but it pays off in the long run, in the form of credibility.

The economy seems to be a common theme for conspiracy theories lately. Let's face it; none of us really understand economics. It's just too easy to take something that nobody really understands and invent conspiracy theories around it. A little bit of common sense is all it takes.

It is upsetting. I can understand where the frustration comes from. I feel it myself. But we can't break down to where we are taking our support/supporting others without condisering what they are bringing to the table as a whole. And, sure, I am as suceptible as anyone toward people that have a kick-ass, take-no-prisoners attitude. But you do have to take what they say and do as a whole. Just because they are kick-ass on the Mohammedan question doesn't mean that they are acceptible on, well, in this case I think it is fair to say it this way, the "Jewish" question.

Yes, the parallel with Nazi rhetioritic is deliberate. I don't see where there is much difference between these people and the Nazis. I am not so desperate for allies, and I hope that I am never so desperate for allies, that I would find these people acceptible as allies. Not when you look at what they say as a whole.

Meanwhile, I find this highly amusing:

Iranian government demands that a group of visiting clueless liberal Hollywood useful idiots apologize to the nation of Iran for the name of the villain in Mickey Rourke's film "The Wrestler":

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- An adviser to Iran's president on Sunday demanded an apology from a team of visiting Hollywood actors and movie industry officials, including Annette Bening, saying films such as "300" and "The Wrestler" were "insulting" to Iranians.

..

Iranians also criticized "The Wrestler" starring Mickey Rourke as a rundown professional wrestler who is preparing for a rematch with his old nemesis, "The Ayatollah." During a fight scene, "The Ayatollah" tries to choke Rourke with an Iranian flag before Rourke pulls the flagpole away, breaks it and throws it into the cheering crowd.

OK then, I'd like Hollywood to apologize for the 1,258,726 anti-American films they've made since 1972.

But seriously: the Iranians are so accustomed to living in a totalitarian state that they don't understand the the US government does not control the content of films made in the United States, and nor does Annette Bening, as clueless and naive as she is, have any connection to nor control over a film made by someone else in America.

And now I want to go buy a ticket to "The Wrestler" just to see that flag-choking scene!

There is a lot of market commentary out there that is Jew-phobic. I often find Peter Brimelow quoted on Market Watch. From what I can tell, he is very active on the VDare white supremacist site. This stuff crosses party lines. You can't tell if people are Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Socialists etc. Ron Paul is a perfect example. He believes in "sound money" principles which draw not only the goldbugs, but many technical analysts and stock traders. So, you find 'truthers' mixed up with capitalists, rural combined with urban, rich and poor and middle class. They distrust the government.
Heck, I distrust this government. There will be more extremists coming out of the woodwork with this banking mess. It will be hard to sort out the crazies, but I trust Charles and the lizards to do it.

Interestingly, there was a story in the WSJ about how some town or other was hoping and changing that the stim you less package would get a Chinese company to come to town and build a solar cell plant. [Link: blogs.wsj.com...] Obviously this is none of the stuff being referred to in the post, but I do find it interesting that we will subsidize the Chinese to expand into America. Not pleased with that.

I agree with you there. I'll readily admit that I'm not an economist, and I've only stuidied economics to a certain minimal level that is required for political debates on economic systems (i.e. Marxism vs. Capitalism). Much of what is being said right now by, well, everybody makes as much sense to me as Santaria. I don't know who to believe, or what to believe, and I'm thrown back to arguing what I do know, which is Marxism and Socialism do not work. They never have much of anywhere ever. I am highly skeptical about perported answers to our problem that are basically a re-hash of Marxist/Statist ideology whith a large helping of Hopey Changiness that doing something differet amounts to doing something right.

Come to think of it the LiveLeak, Rob Grey, poster refers to Hal Turner in a comment:

Eminent Domain is the power of government to TAKE private property for public use without the consent of the property owner. Under our Constitution, the government can only "take" when providing "just compensation" for what they've taken.

Who decides what constitutes "just compensation?" The government!

Homeowners who felt the government was not paying them enough for property in past "takings" have filed lawsuits. In absolutely every such case, the value placed upon the property by the government was upheld by the courts.

Meanwhile, I find this highly amusing:

Iranian government demands that a group of visiting clueless liberal Hollywood useful idiots apologize to the nation of Iran for the name of the villain in Mickey Rourke's film "The Wrestler":

OK then, I'd like Hollywood to apologize for the 1,258,726 anti-American films they've made since 1972.

But seriously: the Iranians are so accustomed to living in a totalitarian state that they don't understand the the US government does not control the content of films made in the United States, and nor does Annette Bening, as clueless and naive as she is, have any connection to nor control over a film made by someone else in America.

And now I want to go buy a ticket to "The Wrestler" just to see that flag-choking scene!

I wonder what Rourke has to say about this.

For two people such as Mr Spencer and Ms Geller to be so concerned about their reputations when it comes under criticism, they sure feel free enough at other times to play recklessly with it by their own actions. I find their indignation both ironic and hypocritical.

Yep.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who still believe them.

'What should have been one of the most important events of this year’s CPAC, the appearance by Dutch parliamentarian and anti-jihad activist Geert Wilders, was relegated to the opposite side of the hotel, divorced from all of the other conference proceedings. There were no official announcements that this event would even be taking place (none that I heard at least), and when trying to locate the room in which it would be held, not a single CPAC staffer could tell me where. And this event only happened because David Horowitz, Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and Andy Bostom personally shelled out the money to make it happen.'

The ends do not justify the means. If your cause is noble and true, there is no need to associate or ally yourself with dumb asses, racists, and/or fools just because they happen to agree with you in one area. If you do that, you cheapen and cancel out any good you hope to achieve. My 8 year old understands this, I wonder why some "grown ups" do not.

Why wasn't he arrested?

Threats against judges and political figures
In 2005, Turner publicized the names of three federal court judges who handled lawsuits involving Matt Hale.[23] Turner posted the judges' names and addresses on his Web site.[23][24]

On December 6, 2006, Turner announced on his website:

We may have to ASSASSINATE some of the people you elect on Nov. 7! This could be your LAST ELECTION CHANCE, to save this Republic... Sorry to have to be so blunt, but the country is in mortal danger from our present government and our liberty is already near dead because of this government. If you are too stupid to turn things around with your vote, there are people out here like me who are willing to turn things around with guns, force and violence. We hope our method does not become necessary.[25]

Since the announcement was made, Turner has had difficulties finding a host for his website. He alleged that his website has been the target of denial of service attacks, and subsequently filed a pro se lawsuit.[26][27][28]

On April 4, 2008, Turner encouraged violence against Lexington, Massachusetts school superintendent Paul Ash for establishing a new curriculum supporting gays and lesbians. On his website, he stated:

I advocate parents using FORCE AND VIOLENCE against Superintendent Paul B. Ash as a method of defending the health and safety of school children presently being endangered through his politically-correct indoctrination into deadly, disease-ridden sodomite lifestyles.[29]

He went on to provide Ash's personal information, including his address.[29]

U.S. government sells Florida to mermaids. We should have seen it coming---just look how we've been conditioned. The slant-eyed Zionist Hindu Allah-worshippers have infiltrated our halls of government and sports, sneaking in names such as "Marlins" and "Dolphins". This, in a dirty low down tricky plan to accustom us to seeing sea-life as "friends". And now those murdermaids are going to take over. They'll flood the state. They have secret plan to raise sea level 100 feet in the waters off Florida. We've been betrayed. To the BARRICADES, citizens!

/Turner

It just feels so wonderful to be superior, finally. He knows, and the rest of the world is in the dark. He binds the arm tight and pushes on the plunger, reading and re-reading Turner, and a rush of power surges through the veins of his mind. Everybody who ever did well in school is gonna get theirs, yessiree Bob.

You can simply replace "Roosevelt" with Obama in each, and have a pretty good idea what's about to happen.

The Left is actively pushing this Obama-as-Roosevelt meme. FDR, after all, led the way to decades of Democratic control in Congress, while keeping the nation in a state of barely tolerable misery.

Personally, Obama is reminding me more and more of Carter every day - in incompetent, empty suit elected because there wasn't much of an alternative, and who wound up driving the economy into the ground. How much longer before we start hearing about the national "malaise"?

Curiouser and curiouser.

Anonymous website raid
According to Turner, in December 2006 and January 2007, individuals who identified themselves as Anonymous took Turners' website offline, and cost him thousands of dollars in bandwidth bills. He retaliated by sending a "formal legal notice of criminal activity in violation of several federal laws" by email to 7chan, multacom, and multicom, as well as redirecting his domain to 420chan.org, causing that site to take a bandwidth hit as well.[30][31][32] He also sued 4chan, 7chan, and other websites in court over copyright infringement. However, he lost his plea for an injunction and failed to receive letters from the court.[33]

Informant allegations
Allegations that Turner acts as an informant to the FBI surfaced after unidentified hackers claimed on Turner's website's forums that they had read email correspondence between him and an FBI agent, apparently his handler.[34] This led to a discussion on a neo-Nazi website on January 10, 2008, in which Turner revealed he was quitting political work, was ending his radio show and that he was separating "from the 'pro-White' movement".[34] Both the FBI and Turner declined to comment on the matter.[34] The Southern Poverty Law Center later reported that they had "revealed... that Turner was an FBI informant"[35] and the Anti-Defamation League reported that "a neo-Nazi Website had posted material reportedly found by the hackers, including alleged exchanges between himself and law enforcement agents that indicated that Turner had been providing information to them."[36]

Rourke got the nomination as a "welcome back" from the Hollywood community. He has not rehabilitated himself enough to have been judged worthy to win, regardless of his performance or his political attitudes. The nomination itself was all he was going to get, and even that was largely as an expression of Hollywood compassion.

I don't think that Hollywood was going to give te Award to anybody other than the guy who played Harvey Milk.

Yep. Interesting observation.

Ironically, if Obama follows Roosevelt (and to be fair, Hoover) and the New Deal of the 30's, he'll end up being compared to Roosevelt - specifically to his failure to address the Great Depression...

and to Carter on everything else.

Not really, if he was/is an FBI informer, an agent provocateur. What actually bothers me the most is the fact that the FBI would go to this level. An agent provocateur is more than an informant. He/she is someone who can actually cause death and destruction in order to entrap someone/some organization.

If this is true, and the FBI used Turner to this extent, then we have a much bigger problem than just some bad-sourced blog posting.

Al-Ekhlaas posts communiqués and videos by terrorist organizations like the Islamic State of Iraq (affiliated with Al-Qaeda Iraq) and Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, as well as materials by religious scholars who support the mujahideen, including fatwas, essays and books. Not usually. But the fact that he Turner shut down his whole operation, radio, web etc. after that email was published, and the fact that the SPLC tends to believe it, that's awful strong circumstantial evidence that something is amiss.

But, I will say it again, it doesn't matter to me who he is working for in regards to Atlas and the article. He's the source for the article, his material was suspect, he's been suspect for years, she shouldn't have used it.

Just because he may have been playacting as a Nazi, doesn't mean it going to be ok that you had used his material.

222 Colonel Panik  Sun, Mar 1, 2009 10:45:30am

re: #122 Killgore Trout

The last comment at Atlas is from another Examiner columnist, Marc Agrigento who's pushing some story about an impending war with China. What a bunch of idiots.

He's a former Naval Aviator. You don't get to fly jets off a pitching carrier deck at night by being stupid. I would hazard a guess he knows a good deal more about the potential military threat from the People's Republic of China than a violin stringer from Oregon.

Anyone who does not believe the PRC is a potential military threat to the United States, or our allies in the region, is an idiot.

And his article does not claim that war with China is certainty, but that it is a dangerous possibility that will require careful diplomacy on economic and military fronts, and negotiating, Reagan-like, from a position of strength:

the United States will need to engage the Peoples Republic of China on a policy level in a progressively thoughtful manner. In the not-too-terribly-distant future, the importance of U.S. demand for China’s exports will give way to that of her own far more numerous peoples. When questioned, the reason given by “Washington” as to why the Japan would never attack the U.S. was “trade- they have too much to lose”. Then came Sunday December 7, 1941. It turned out that sanctions Washington imposed against Japan in retribution for making war against China (and in particular, U.K. and French imperial holdings), set Japan off against the U.S. They gambled that a “blitzkrieg” against our largest Pacific Naval base would hobble us for years to come.

Today, not sanctions, but protectionist trade sentiment looms as a possibility between China and the U.S. A trade war is the last thing the world needs and could ultimately lead to unforeseen consequences, as China grows ever stronger militarily.

Not so very long ago, China was an economic collection of dust. Today, she is undergoing ignition and fast becoming a central star. The UK has been there and so has the USA. This revolution is Copernican. Indeed, as China’s middle class consumption society grows, the world will come to see that the USA is no longer at the center of things. To avoid horrors worse than seen in the last century, this transition must be peaceful and executed with honor, by the wisest of men and women.

It is a strange allegation.

My first instinct is to trust people. It is such a pain to check and double check anything and everything people say whether the consequences are small or large. Invariably I find that what I read or am told by people I assume to know what the hell they are talking about are either wrong or biased in their favor. No one has my best interests at heart but me. "Jumping to conclusions" is one of my biggest faults and it has rewarded me with many embarrassing moments. I gotta stop and wait for all the facts to be in and accounted for before I jump. That's all I meant.

re: #26 Killgore Trout

The economy seems to be a common theme for conspiracy theories lately. Let's face it; none of us really understand economics. It's just too easy to take something that nobody really understands and invent conspiracy theories around it. A little bit of common sense is all it takes.

The common sense you speak of is null and void when Fear and Panic are first nature in a person's defensive mechanisms to a real or perceived threat.
When our present government passed a Trillions of dollar budget and is advocating overall bigger governmental control, gives unscrupulous characters like Frank monitoring jurisdiction over some of our financial rights, UN spending on rebuilding GAZA without replacing terrorist Hamas, and buying significant percentages of Major US Banks, while "we the people" are being threatened with Fearful policies by this current Administration, like "the fairness doctrine" and "re instituting the Clinton Federal Gun Ban", are causing mass anxiety and concern amongst any conservative believing person.
However, the best remedy for that concern, is not to fall victim to panic. It appears that Atlas is one to panic and fall victim to any story that will fit her agenda at hand. Isn't this what won Obama the election? This will not help any assertive conservative who is pushing back with resistance from liberals. This will also not help those who are fighting against the socialistic politicians or policies, if all conservatives get labeled with panicking over fabricated stories, or obsessing, like the far and over the edge right winger conservatives. Great article Thanos, we all need to keep exposing these over zealous wingnuts.

Atlas et al, word of advice, Save your protective adrenalin for when you really need to use it!

From The Council on Foreign Relations:

Chechen Terrorism

Which terrorist groups operate in Chechnya?
Information about groups linked to the conflict in Chechnya is hard to confirm, but experts say the struggle is between local separatists—a loosely organized group, with semi-independent commanders—and the Russian army. According to the U.S. State Department, the Islamic International Peacekeeping Brigade (IIPB) is the primary channel for Islamic funding of the Chechen guerillas, in part through links to al-Qaeda-related financiers on the Arabian Peninsula. The United States also defined the Chechnya-based Special Purpose Islamic Regiment (SPIR) and the Riyadus-Salikhin Reconnaissance and Sabotage Battalion of Chechen Martyrs as terrorist entities in February 2003.

Chester Doles, Jr. was a head of the Georgia chapter of the neo-Nazi National Alliance and a convicted felon. While Doles was running the Lumpkin County Unit of the National Alliance, he held several anti-immigration rallies. Doles and Hammerskin members Derek Gooden, Tate Strahorn, Miles Downing and Jason McGhee planned several white rock and roll concerts and publicly claimed the September 11 attacks were America's punishment for doing business with Jews.

It's a fucking jihadi forum! From MEMRI:

The Al-Faloja website posted a story describing the reaction of a mother upon being informed that her four sons had become martyrs: "The announcement did not perturb her, nor did her facial expression change; she asked the man [who had delivered the news]: Did they all die? The man said: They were [a unit] that destroyed the enemy one by one. They set up a rendezvous with martyrdom, and whenever one wavered, the other encouraged him, strengthening his resolve and motivation. The [mother] was happy... and said: Praised be Allah for honoring me with their martyrdom. I pray for Allah to let me join them in His abode. Tell me now, what fate did Allah grant you, [the jihad fighters]? He replied: We attained a decisive victory. She raised her hands to heaven and said: Praise Allah, praise Allah! Then she went off in the direction of her tent, praising Allah over and over"

He would be meeting up with Hamas and Iran? He would be looking for the largest transformation in our nations history since the New Deal? He would looking to take as money as possible from the top of our economic ladder and give it to the bottom, all in the name of fairness?

I am in complete agreement as far as money goes, Bush spent too much and was plain awful when it came to spending. McCain would have probably not been much better, if he was better at all. A very good friend of mine, who recently passed away, was an nuclear expert with special knowledge of NK, Russia, and Iran (he was given some sort of honor by Israel for delaying Iran's nuke program). He was a great guy and left us suddenly and too soon. He couldn't always tell me stuff, but he also would indicate things, and if I read him correctly, that cat's out of the bag already. He also told me that it's not as easy as you would think to get at their nukes, their facilities are under mountains and probably impervious to bunker busters. It would require a ground invasion, which is why Israel hasn't done anything about it, they can't. It's a really depressing situation because the whole reason to invade Iraq should have been to get to Iran, not nation building. If Bush had been a better statesman maybe he could have made the case, but I'm afraid it's too late.

That genie is out of the bottle. If Israel could have taken it out, as they did Saddam's nuclear plant, I think they would have already. The Iranians are evil, but they are not stupid. Get ready for more countries in that region to get nukes now. The Saudis will not sit there and get bullied by the Iranians. Everyone in that neighborhood will want them. This world is getting more frightening by the day.

So, you are telling me, with a straight face, that McCain would be doing the same things Obama is doing right now? John McCain would be busy socializing our medical insurance? He would be meeting up with Hamas and Iran? He would be looking for the largest transformation in our nations history since the New Deal? He would looking to take as money as possible from the top of our economic ladder and give it to the bottom, all in the name of fairness?

I am in complete agreement as far as money goes, Bush spent too much and was plain awful when it came to spending. McCain would have probably not been much better, if he was better at all. But, the fact remains, we have two parties that can win. One is bad, the other is really, really, really bad....

Yes, eventually special interest and big money will get what they want.

Well Mussolini would be proud:

That's what we are talking about here: a government official sent into a private workplace to order, in the absence of a voluntary agreement between labor and management, the employer to abide by a government-dictated contract. If this seems like an appalling intrusion into the operation of private businesses, it is.

This is far more extreme than the National Industrial Recovery Act of the New Deal, which at least allowed industries to devise their own "codes." In the case of the EFCA, the government would be in the position to directly set wages, benefits, and work rules for any business with a union agreement.

there are other matters you can [promote]: for example, posting matters related to the raid in most [jihad] forums... posting [material] in non-jihad forums, posting in non-Islamic forums such as music forums, youth forums, sports forums, and others. Anyone who undertakes to post the material must look into the [appropriate] manner of spreading [the material for each type of forum]... And I really, really wish Pam would stop calling her site "Atlas Shrugs." Whatever one might think of Ayn Rand and her Objectivist philosophy, she would never have countenanced this kind of idiocy.

True enough. And there's another aspect to that. Lately many, many people have been horrified by the swift unraveling of American values. They are noticing that Atlas Shrugged (the novel, the real thing) predicted, decades ago, exactly the kind of meltdown that we're now experiencing. And people are rallying to it -- important voices like Instapundit, Limbaugh, and Michelle Malkin have had it all over their sites, and people are responding in great numbers. So what do we get from this Geller creature? She uses the title she misappopriated to promote shrieking lunacy that will do more to discredit this important rallying point than entire armies of leftist psychotics could ever achieve on their own. The whole thing sickens me. Geller is beyond shameful. She deserves unflinching denunciation from anyone who knows the difference between right and wrong.

The Japanese were doing the same thing in Hawaii in the 70s. Capitalism at work.

I vaguely recall some locales which did (when things got too bad) the enacting of a "residency" requirement? (i'd have to look it up..was it just talk or did it actually happen? i don't know.)

I went dumpster diving, and will need to recover, but seeing the negative comments was worth it.

The slant-eyed Zionist Hindu Allah-worshippers

WTF? Hindu Jews who worship Allah?

It's deliberately nonsensical. It's a parody of Turner's messages. The address is also deliberately crazy. The whole quote is a parody quote. And of course nobody can raise sea level locally.

That's why you see /Turner below it.

re: #323 Desert Dog

I think it is a mistake to question Obama's motives. He believes what he is doing is the right thing. I just happen to disagree with him. I think you are correct about the left and Bush. The right thinks the left is misguided and wrong, the left thinks the right is stupid and evil.

Where is all that bipartisan love? It's not going to happen....

I'm not sure I agree with you. or, more to the point, maybe it's "Yes, but what does that prove?" Obama thinks he is doing right, but what does that prove? His sense of right and wrong may be (appears to be) very different from ours. His behavior (and that of pretty much all the Democrat leadership) is consistent with what one would do if he were trying to bring about American defeat abroad, and economic ruin at home. He may think that these goals are good, or he may intend something other than what it appears he intends. So what? The effect of what he clearly intends to do is objectively wrong from our perspective.

It isn't a "conspiracy theory" to look at the writers and theoriticians that Obama followed as a younger man (or the crowd that he was comfortable hanging with), and extrapolate to what his views might really be if you strip away the pretty rhetoric. That would be Alinsky, Rev. "God Damn America" Wright, and William Ayers. These people were not just aquaintences. The were primary influences on his philosophy, politics, and even behavior for decades. It would be a mistake not to look at their influence, or the core beliefs that inform their actions.

However you characterise it, Obama is not working to increase American power or strength across the globe. He is deliberately trying to reduce American power, on the grounds that that is somehow "fair". He has appoligized, essentially, for making the Mohammedans committ 9-11. He is doing nothing substantive to counter the potential threat of Iranian nuclear ambitions, essentially saying that it is not a problem. He has halted the prosecutions of known terrorists and promised vaugly to "do better" by the Mohammedan terrorists that we were already bending over backwards to accomodate. His actions condemn him.

And that is no "conspiracy theory".

re: #370 Syrah

It will end badly.

Your mouth to G-d's ear. There is something sad in seeing what was once an excellent blog go down in flames like this. She has turned it into essentially an I,I, I, Me, Me, Me self-loving garbage dump, and that she associates herself with who she does? She has no shame if she indeed ever did once have some.

re: #26 Killgore Trout

The economy seems to be a common theme for conspiracy theories lately. Let's face it; none of us really understand economics. It's just too easy to take something that nobody really understands and invent conspiracy theories around it. A little bit of common sense is all it takes.

Economics isn't that difficult, really. Jackasses like Krugman can pretend it's far above our tiny little intellects but if you strip away the bullshit, most people "get it" pretty fast.

Why does she call her site Atlas Shrugged? I don't think she has read the book. She may like the concept of a strike of the mind, but she missed an awful lot of the concept.

Well, she actually calls it "Atlas Shrugs", so maybe Atlas (that would be Pam herself, LOL) is still in the process of mentally going on strike.

Only thing is, poor deluded attention whore that she is, in her case a strike would be felt as a blessing, not a loss.

381 Cato the Elder  Sun, Mar 1, 2009 1:55:30pm

So, an ardent defender of Jews retails a lying conspiracy theory lanced by a flaming Jew-hater who would rather kill Jews than fight the Muslims whom the defender of Judaism would like to see killed.

My head is spinning.

But anything to score a point against Obama, right, Pamz? Absolutely anything.

She fancies herself as some kind of soldier - ahem, siren-cum-cheerleader - in the "war on Islam". If it weren't so pernicious, it would just be pathetic.

So has anyone gone over to Jihad Watch to see if Spencer has cross-posted this to his blog? Pamz and Robertz are very, very close these days, it seems, and often use not only the same stories, but the same pix to illustrate them, too.

Or is this one too anserine even for Spencer?

382 Sharmuta  Sun, Mar 1, 2009 1:59:29pm

What's interesting is a commenter at pamela's is exactly right- all the sources referred to by the examiner and patriot room only cite the liveleak source- this "robgrey".

And yet, right there on his profile page he says this:

I've pretty much given up on posting videos. They get removed or I lose my uploading ability.

I sometimes post links to videos on al-faloja.

Posted 6 days ago by "robgrey"

Google "al-faloja" and MEMRI gets you pretty up to speed. That should have been enough to question his credibility, but also on his profile page is this video (Please note the date of the video "Added: Jun 18 2008"):

Where it states right above the video:

Video from Chechnya, 1st posted April 2, 2008 @ Al-Ekhlaas Forum.

Google "Al-Ekhlaas Forum" and MEMRI will again get you up to speed.

And this doesn't even touch on "robgrey's" anti-Semitic comments and links, where he managed to hook up with some nazi bullshit.

But the "multiple sources" was really just one- the liveleak e-jihadi. That's just sloppy as all hell. And he got the story from a nazi. Lovely. Great job, pam.

From wiki:

Early career

Identifying himself as "Hal from North Bergen", Turner became notable in American conservative circles as a frequent caller to WABC radio talk shows hosted by Bob Grant and Sean Hannity.[4] Turner parlayed this fame into a role as the northern New Jersey coordinator for Patrick J. Buchanan's 1992 presidential campaign. He went on to serve as campaign manager for Libertarian Party candidate Murray Sabrin in New Jersey in the 1990s, including a 1997 gubernatorial campaign.[5]

Turner reportedly established a friendship with Sean Hannity, on whose program he was a frequent presence.[4] However, when confronted by the New Black Panther Party's Malik Zulu Shabazz about his association with Turner (in light of Hannity's scrutiny of Barack Obama's association with Jeremiah Wright), Hannity at first denied knowing Turner, then said he had banned Turner from his radio station, and that he never supported Turner's views. Turner subsequently posted this response on his website: "I was quite disappointed when Sean Hannity at first tried to say he didn't know me. In fact, Sean does know me and we were quite friendly a few years ago."[6][7]

I don't think Pamela is very attuned to White Supremacists advocating killing of Jews. Her radar seems to allow them room in her space. Her associates should advise her. Or maybe that have and this is what resulted.

Let the invisible hand work. Velocity of money and consumer (not bank) confidence. Banks are using the information age to break all of these concepts, breaking banks up into smaller entities would help.

I think instead of our property the Chinese would rather want.

1. Markets to sell in with less restrictions.
2. We ignore their human rights issues.
3. Taiwan
4. Bill Gates

But real property holding is ingrained into the Chinese culture. Along with education and gold. But anything gained here in the US can be seized and there wouldn't but much they could do about it without a war.

China is trying to overtake the US as an industrial powerhouse, just without any safety or environmental wisdom. People aren't so important. The Yangtze river is one big sewer line floating to Korea and Taiwan.

Don't look now but you know who updated the page but the original entry remains including the links to the quasi-Jihadist-ant-Semite Rob Grey. To top it all off she's using a quote from an entry in the Democratic Underground.

Incidentally, Rob Grey's anti-zionist blog has a link to a Vanguard News Network blog entry -- I mentioned this above. There's someone that writes for VNN that goes by the name of Robert Grey. There may or may not be a connection there.

Nothing on Chechnya?

Plenty of that, too.

Both the Serbs and the Russians will soon be swept away by million-strong Islamic hordes. And the winds of da'wa. And there'll be nothing left but madrassas and mosques.

And we're next.

So we'd better ally with Serge Trifkovic, Vlaams Belang and Hal Turner while there's still time.

Otherwise, it stands to reason, your house will soon belong to the Chicoms.

Hal Turner had something up a few months ago about military retirees being called back to active duty, due to some "homeland security" issue...dude is a certifiable whack job in every sense of the word. (BTW - I retired last year and haven't seen anything from the Department of the Navy recalling me to active duty as of today).

And I'll never understand why someone would use his racist, anti-semetic tripe on their website...what's Pamela Geller's issue?

This just shows that without proper grounding and principles about what you are doing you are just another amateur, "We're Number Three" patch or not. Shame on you, Pamela.

Perhaps if she weren't always so "outraged" and in such a damned hurry to be the first one to post "shocking" blog entries, she'd actually HAVE the time to do some fact-checking and not get caught out in the public square like this with her panties between her ankles.

But then again, maybe she likes having her panties between her ankles in front of the MSM and the rest of the conservative blogosphere. You just never know, with some people.

When i first saw this story linked in LGF 2 days ago i couldn't find a source so i ignored it. I figured someone would dig into it soon enough but it looked bad enough to avoid by itself.

I would hope that someone at the ARI sees this and starts court proceedings against Pam. This is not the first time she has desecrated Atlas Shrugged.
by siding with Nazis she may has well have flushed Ayn Rands work down a toilet. ARI
