Flight 1549 Rolls Through New Jersey

US News • Views: 13,298

Photos and video of the plane that crash-landed in the Hudson River, US Airways Flight 1549, being towed through the streets of New Jersey: Flight 1549 rolls to Teterboro Airport » 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America.

U.S. Airways Flight 1549 was made famous when it was fabulously landed in the Hudson River by its crew, Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, co-pilot Jeffrey B. Skiles and flight attendants Doreen Walsh, Sheila Dail, and Donna Dent. Late in the afternoon of February 28 it was towed from the river to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

Yesterday afternoon, Anthony Quintano was alerted by a friend that U.S. Airways Flight 1549 was being towed down New Jersey’s Route 46 towards Teterboro Airport where it will be examined in detail. He grabbed his “Canon 5d Mark II and drove down to the corner and managed to just catch the plane passing us.”

The top of the plane was skimming under the electrical wires. Hope they planned that out ahead of time!

How long before they tow the American economy to a New Jersey scrap yard?

When they are all done, someone should set it on a foundation and open it up as a restaurant.

Next thing you know, they'll be towing cars through the sky.

Just remember - it is all a lie!

As I have pointed out before, if that plane flew low and "crash landed" in the Hudson, then where are the clipped trees and lighposts? And the video from the nearby security cameras conveniently only shows a "splash" but no plane! And if it was 19 degress outside, then it was the first time in history that water did not freeze below 32 degrees!

It is a conspiracy! Wake up!

/BTW - I am only asking questions.

12 Kragar  Mon, Mar 2, 2009 10:58:06am

I'm guessing they want to examine the air frame further, otherwise, wouldn't it have been easier to break it up into small chunks for travel?

That plane is a drone and all those people on the wing were robots! I know that's true because I read it on the internet!

The wings are off, and the engines. Those were the key parts anyway because that's where the bird strike did the damage. Not sure what they would hope to learn from the fuselage. But, NTSB workers need to get paid too!

You don't give the One ennough credit. They aren't going to scrap the entire economy. Just the parts of it that actually do the work of putting out our GDP.

All of the growth for the last ten to fifteen years appears to be going away. How is that possible? I'll grant that Obama is a dog, and that some of the increases in the market have been, like some of the gains in the housing market, smoke and mirrors. But not all of it was a facade. This seems like people are panicing.

Some are panicking, but some of it is also that they are in bad positions for various stocks - entire sectors - financial, real estate, publishing, etc. are in meltdown mode because the fundamentals of those sectors are in doubt.

That has a ripple effect, even if some areas are doing better than others.

No intoxicants, no alcohol, no extra-marital sex, compulsory praying five times a day including early in the morning, strictly halal diet, ritual washing of hands and private parts, zakat (tithing, essentially), modest dress, no associating with members of the opposite gender outside your family, etc. etc. etc.?

I have a suspicion Snoop Al-Dogg will be following exactly 0% of these dictates. He's just trying to be "cool."

I found this part of the blog post truly revealing:

Snoop Dog now joins ranks with Michael Jackson as honorary members of Islam. (emphasis added)

These rappers like Snoop, and Dr Dre whose son Andre Young Jr. died at the age of 20 on August 23, 2008 at his Woodland Hills home. The coroner determined that he died from an overdose of heroin and morphine...need to get their sh!t together. Same goes for Rhianna. Money does not make the person. Stop giving money to these churches that do nothing for the black community.

How can somebody smart enough to figure how to get money for nothing be so goddamn stupid?

Yet more proof of a conspiracy.

The anagram of "Miracle on Hudson" -> Cad Heirloom Nuns.

So lets use professional lexigraphical inspection and examine these words.

Cad - That can only be George W Bush!

Heirloom - We know from Fahrenheit 911 that the Bush family has engaged in countless conspiracies, and this one just adds to that legacy!

Nuns - That tells us that the forces of the Vatican have joined the Bush's in this latest conspiracy. How else would they allow the use of the term "Miracle"?

What could be more clear? It was a conspiracy!

I'd hope not. When I was at Mare Island shipyard with my sub under construction, another one sank by the pier (combination of errors). Admiral Rickover demanded that absolutely nothing be re-used. One of his inspectors found that some cabling had been reinstalled, and the Admiral forced the shipyard to pull it all out again and cut it into one-foot lengths. In addition, the sonar system was removed and sent to the sonar school.

How many people have to die in the DRC to appear in the New York Times?

Stealth Conflicts suggests this is the death toll comparison between the conflict in the DRC and the Palestine-Israeli conflict. I am sure that this estimation (based on known figures) is very close to the real figure.

We live in a globalized world, where any information shows up on a webpage in a matter of minutes. But the DRC rarely appears in the frontpage of the most important newspapers. With its absence, the media are sending us a message: depending on where you are born, your life is worth more, or less.

This is so evidently unfair and painful.

My only hope is that, forty years from now, this scandal will be seen as a problem of the past. As a symptom of the problems of a society -our developed one- that, with time, changed for better. I hope to talk about it to my grandsons in the same way afroamerican grandparents talk nowadays about Rosa Parks. Like talking about an evident problem that finally, one day, one person dared to face. And changed for good.

We need our own Rosa Parks to raise this issue. I hope she will come soon.

Makes you wonder.

Michael Steele isn't the head of the GOP, he's the chairman of the RNC. Rush Limbaugh is the de facto leader of the conservative movement in this country, whether you like it or not. He's got more guts than 99% of the elected GOP and he's on the front line taking the bullets.

People ought to start listening to him more than misinterpreting what he's saying by reading media accounts twisting his words.

A lot more people know who Rush is than who Michael Steele is, and if Steele wants to stay in that job long he'll be dialing up Rush and apologizing.

After a dip in the Hudson, I'd hope none of the parts would be used again.

I spent 20 yrs at Mare Island..I only met the old man once and totally embarrassed myself.. I had had a bad day and came out of a boat in DD#1 cursing like a sailor...I was calling code 1390 nuke inspectors every name in the book when i came face to face with the Admiral and his staff top side..
I turned bright red mumbled sorry and literally ran off the boat hearing laughter behind me... I was lucky to have a job the next day..

DRC is not as "sexy" as the Palestinians. They do not wear cool scarfs or hijack planes. And, most importantly, they are black Africans. So, the world does not care. Now, if they had big pools of oil under their lands, that would be a game changer.

I feel sorry for the people in central Africa. Torn apart by Colonialism, left to fester with one bad dictator after another....tribal violence, fights for natural resources.....one day, the world will take notice of this place. It is insane in this day and age that we (the world) can sit here and do nothing about the slaughter.

He knocked on the door several times, with no answer. Finally worked up the guts to open the door and try again. Nothing. At last he went up to the bunk, shook the admiral's shoulder and said, "Admiral. Admiral, it's 0430. Time to get up."

Admiral Rickover replied, "Son, you tell the time; I'll make the decisions."

Rush should call him up and talk to him, not go off on him for all to hear. We need to have a united front. Every time there is infighting between the Republicans, I can see Obama laughing his ass off in the White House....

I don't disagree with you that this is a problem, but I think Steele should have called Rush, since (as someone upthread pointed out) he's the one who fired the first shot.

I like Steele and I was rooting for him to win - but this didn't even have to happen. It's not hard to explain why Rush wants Obama's plans to fail, but at the very least, Steele could have said something on the order of: "I can't speak for Rush Limbaugh - you'll have to talk to him about that."

But I get your point. I'm tired of all the infighting. No wonder we're completely out of power.

re: #158 Afrocity

Dow still falling. Their only hope is that the welfare class Obama and the Democrats are growing will suddenly become investors and job creators. Even though that is my life story,,,but then I became a Republican.

Part of the problem is that Obama's rhetoric and proposals are now eating away at healthcare and pharmaceutical stocks. They had recovered well from the September and November lows. But his "stimulus" plan to socialize medicine, "pick the winners", and cut off access for new treatments (which is what happens when the government picks winners and decides what treatments are appropriate) is now getting people to pull money out of R&D for new treatments.

It is no coincidence that the US is the world's leader advancing medicine - we invest a great deal of money in trying new things. Most of them don't actually work out (even though very talented scientists and financiers behind such efforts thought they would). The minority of treatments that do work out end up paying for all those that don't. So investors spread their bets.

The Obama admin has decided to destroy that. One can assume that they think they can pick the winners - such that Obama has promised a cure for cancer but has not yet funded it. He will. He and Axelrod must know something that has eluded the rest of humanity for some time.

People ought to start listening to him more than misinterpreting what he's saying by reading media accounts twisting his words.

A lot more people know who Rush is than who Michael Steele is, and if Steele wants to stay in that job long he'll be dialing up Rush and apologizing.

That is an upding. Limbaugh has clarified over & over what he meant by wanting Obama to fail. He meant that he did not want a Socialist economy & defeat in Iraq, etc.
He wants those policies to fail, not this nation.

According to Rham and Obama - yes he is. Love him or hate him (or something in between) Rush is influential, but we as conseravites need more than just Rush. and I'm fine that our party can disagree about Rush.

I think it's paramount that we be able to disagree with Rush Limbaugh. If not then the Republican party is destined for failure in the national scene with ever dwindling registration numbers and a failure to capture the youth vote.

If Michael Steele is censured for his comments over the weekend then the underlying message is that a requirement for chairman of the RNC is to pander to a radio talk show host.

The Republican party is a party that should work within democratic principles. In light of this they need to be reminded that it is not a kingdom and no one man should have a dominant voice within the party structure let alone a radio host.

OK, I tried it a second time. This time around, I did a different strategy: just clicked as fast as I could. (Does clicking more quickly help with the score? I'm not clear on that.) But i still didn't get kicked off. Went to the end of the 10th level, score was 19,182.

So, is is better to click fast, or try to position the mouse accurate before clicking? I was kind of a random quick sharpshooter this time, but it improved my score. Weird.

OK, one last time. This time, I will be slow and careful. Perhaps that will disqualify me and get me kicked off.

The problem isn't knowing where the cities are, the problem is squinting at the map and trying to position the cursor.

I think that's right. IIRC, it was the engine room hatch that flooded. Part of the problem was the shore power cables running through. They couldn't get them disconnected in time. One of the guys who came to our boat when the crew was split up said someone (not sure if it was a sailor or shipyard worker) was getting ready to cut through them with a fire ax when he was stopped. OK, I tried the final strategy: slow, but try to be more precise. THe result: still all the way through to the end, with an even higher score of 20,371.

There's no way to lose! Every strategy produces essentially the same result.

(I had even had my first "big miss" this time; they gave me a name of a city "in Russia" that I didn't recognize; so I clicked at random near Moscow, and instead the right answer was near Vladivostok, 7000 miles away. Ooops! But even with that, my score was over 20,000.)

So, even more - well done Airbus.
