Well since my design office has no work now, that means in 6 months to a year there will be no construction jobs for a good number of workers. So it will get worse before better.

Speaking of wacky “clerics”, I walked by a moonbat lefty Presbyterian church here in downtown DC (who previously have, among other things, hosted terrorist lawyer Lynne Stewart for a lecture), and they prominently display the title of the next upcoming sermon:

“CHRIST THE SNAKE”

WTF?

I might have an explanation. There’s a passage in Genesis where Moses raises a bronze snake on a pole & whoever looks at the snake would be healed from their illness. St. Paul later compares that to Christ on the Cross.

DSC (local morning radio show) has always had it as March 20th.
It is the male counterpart to Valentines day.

Steak and BJ day is March 14th

You know the drill. Every 14th of February you get the chance to display your fondness for a significant other by showering her with gifts, flowers, dinner, shows and any other baubles that women find romantic. Every Valentines day you rack your brains for that one special, unique gift that will show your wife or girlfriend that you really do care for them more than any other. Now ladies, I’ll let you in on a little secret; guys really don’t enjoy this that much. Sure seeing that smile on your face when we get it right is priceless, but that smile is the result of weeks of blood, sweat and consideration. Another secret; guys feel left out. That’s right, there’s no special holiday for the ladies to show their appreciation for the men in their life. Men as a whole are either too proud or too embarrassed to admit it.

Which is why a new holiday has been created.

March 14th is now officially “Steak and Blowjob Day”. Simple, effective and self explanatory, this holiday has been created so you ladies finally have a day to show your man how much you care for him.

No cards, no flowers, no special nights on the town; the name of the holiday explains it all, just a steak and a BJ. Thats it. Finally, this twin pair of Valentine’s Day and Steak and Blowjob Day will usher in a new age of love as men everywhere try THAT much harder in February to ensure a memorable March 14th!

Me too. I’m being nostalgic no doubt but I thought those were a richer selection than I get today with all the cable premuim movie channels put together…….

That’s because in the old days, Hollywood was run by people who loved movies; today, it is made by people who love money and don’t know shit about what makes a good movie. Thus, if one movie is successful, they all have to make copies of it.

/What’s that you say? You didn’t buy her flowers, a dinner at a nice restaurant, and take her out on Valentines Day? Too bad for you, better luck next year.

Iowahawk: Let’s Hear It For The Tards

DEAR BARRY
Relationship advice from President Obama.

Dear Barry:

Our 12 year old son Tyler is developmentally disabled. Tyler’s learning center has a Special Olympics program and we (along with his teachers) have been encouraging him to participate. Every time we bring it up to him, however, Tyler pushes back and becomes very withdrawn. We love Tyler very much and don’t want to force him into it, but we think the Special Olympics would be a terrific experience and help him conquer his shyness and introversion. Do you have any suggestions for helping him get past this fear?

Jean and Ted in Westmont

Dear Jean and Ted:

As you know I am a big fan of the Special Olympics program, and all the good things it does for young Mongoloid-Americans like your son. Nothing inspires more than the sight of these heroic young tards hilariously giving it their all in the arena of friendly athletic competition. Extra-chromosome? More like extra-awesome! That’s why I recently volunteered, on the advice of my damage control team, as an equipment manager for the U.S. Special Olympics bowling squad. At first I wasn’t sure how I would feel about polishing other people’s balls for a change, but I think those tards really appreciate what I’ve done for them. Lately they started calling me “Special O.”

But for all I’ve given to the program, I’ve gotten much more in return; the beaming smiles of appreciation for a well-folded towel, the many times the team worked together to tug me out after I got my head stuck in the ball return. I’ve learned much from the experience, including the fact that these bowling tards really have some great policy ideas, like Jimmy’s brilliant “free Skittles for everybody.” That’s why I invited the team to join my Council of Economic Advisers, where they are hard at work on my next stimulus plan. I’ve also learned that tards are people too, and they don’t like to be condescended to or patronized. When Jimmy suggested spending cuts, for example, I sent him to the corner without a juice box — just as I would for any non-tard member of my cabinet.

As far as Tyler’s fears go, the most important thing is to build his confidence. Reassure him you will be there cheering him on. Let him know that no matter how much he stumbles and trips, or runs around in circles randomly flailing his arms like a moron, or winds up falling flat on his face, you will be there to pick him up, kiss the boo-boos, drape a medal on his neck, and keep telling him he’s the greatest athlete in the world. For some great examples, just watch MSNBC.

They always get mad when they get caught.

They’re always mad; they get angry when caught.

CANADA ROCKS!

We’re going to uphold the law, not give special treatment to this infamous street-corner Cromwell who actually brags about giving ‘financial support’ to Hamas, a terrorist organisation banned in Canada,” he said. “I’m sure Galloway has a large Rolodex of friends in regimes elsewhere in the world willing to roll out the red carpet for him. Canada, however, won’t be one of them.”

re: #303 Sand Panda

I don’t mean to poo-poo your friend’s experiences, but I think that maybe there might be a psychological component to it, not just in the sense of a placebo, but with regards to puritanism and self-deprivation e.t.c. If healthy, our livers are the only detoxification tool that we need.

Could be. I already feel better because I know I made a decision that will benefit me at least as far as eating better.

Of course - I’ve always found this website useful:

[Link: www.epicurious.com…]

It has a wide selection of more adventurous recipes from diverse sources. It’s also neatly arranged into various sections, including healthy cookery, and the recipe reviews are always helpful.

I don’t know about that - at least if you’re off your rocker then you aren’t aware that you’re both stupid and evil.

It’s an organic detoxifying diet.

Certified Organic is a good thing but more than anything, the less additives you have in food, the better. There is also the processing plants, the warehouses, etc which the foods have to go through.

I would rather buy conventional tomatoes from kansas than organic tomatoes from mexico.

323 Sand Panda  Fri, Mar 20, 2009 12:26:16pm

re: #321 Eowyn2

Even certified organic foods aren’t likely to be completely “free from”. Various chemical pesticides and fertilisers are allowed at certain levels, and pre-made organic foods are still legally allowed to label themselves so provided they are ~95% organic. It’s a complex business, with insufficient independent regulation (in my view), and many producers cynically take advantage of organic as a buzz word. For example, large-scale industrial farming operations have been known to split the premises into organic and non-organic sections, despite the high (near inevitable) probability of cross-contamination.

These criminal, violent, rape supporting, degenerate Islamists like that leader in the video are found far too often in the Muslim world. I really think that these people are mentally diseased, poisoned by their vile, primitive ideology and barbaric beliefs.

Lying is second nature to these simple people and even when caught red handed, they will continue to lie, like that moron in the video. Unfortunately for them we live in the modern world and now have technological innovations such as surveillance cameras. Look at how many of those degenerates doubt the 9-11 attacks, the percentage is not small.

And for him to be a leader, says an awful lot about his pathetic pack of followers.

Countries that let people like this sheik into their country deserve everything that’s coming… You are liars, all of you. If you asked this guy if he was a brain surgeon, he’d probably say yes. I perform many operations to cure infidels.

This is how he and many Islamists in Australia operate

1. Create an issue for your own gain
2. Blame an innocent person or group
3. Get aggressive when confronted with the truth
4. Claim that all evidence is fake
5. Hide behind lawyers/law
6. Wait for something to take attention away from incident
7. Stay quiet for 6 weeks
8. Repeat

A great bust of al-Hilali.

And I concur with his claim that the youth group in his mosque is probably promoting jihad.
