The Strategy Room tends to be free wheeling and since I can't see the clip I really can't comment on it, but I wonder if the purpose of bringing these folks on was just to expose them.
The format on the Strategy Room is one hour segments each hosted by a different Fox News personality. Without seeing the entire block I wouldn't be so fast to pass judgement.

Israel army 'used human shields'
United Nations investigators have accused the Israeli army of using an 11-year-old boy as a human shield during its recent Gaza offensive.
Their report says troops ordered the boy to walk in front of them for several hours under fire, entering buildings and opening suspect packages.
The UN team responsible for protection of children in war zones says it found "hundreds" of similar violations.

At some blogs no nut is too great. As long as there is a shred of Conservativism in their message or as long as they're going after Obama "they're on our side".
There's no difference between this and the reaction to Geert and VB at some sites. People are more concerned with keeping their group's numbers up than they are the truth.

This is a good point, and not one that brings any comfort. I did feel a tad better knowing this clip hadn't already aired on the FNC and would therefore have a smaller audience. Its very existence at all, with the "Great Alex Jones" bit, is more than troubling.

At some blogs no nut is too great. As long as there is a shred of Conservativism in their message or as long as they're going after Obama "they're on our side".
There's no difference between this and the reaction to Geert and VB at some sites. People are more concerned with keeping their group's numbers up than they are the truth.
The excuse I see most often is that Lincoln once said of Grant, "I cannot spare this man. He fights." (For instance: Robert Stacy McCain.) As long as these guys are firing in the general direction of the enemy, they reason, it's all good: Coulter, Buchanan, Sailer, even Taki.
One might bring up another general on the Union side who didn't mind fighting. His name was Ambrose Burnside.

OK. I can see that. people are getting very lazy. Take care of it for me. It's too painful to fail...
Look closely at liberalism, it's about avoiding the responsibility and consequences.
When the founders talked about Liberty, they were talking about a two sided coin. On one side Freedom, on the other responsibility. Responsibility means one owns the results of how one uses Liberty. Good or bad, it's yours.
Liberals want License, do anything that feels good. They'll take the good from the successful and redistribute it, and cushion anyone who fails.
In time everyone becomes dependent on the State, and the Oligarchy.

After watching Glenn Beck's recent insane performances on Fox, this really doesn't surprise me.

This is an absolute terrible situation for those who cherish what our original founding was intended to be. Right now, we have an administration who is looking more an more like a coke addict in club 54, and the lunatic fringe on the right is spinning the house music.
Giving these idiots a voice only allows them to become the spokesmen for those who want neither extreme, and would like a return to sanity.

Sorry, but I disagree with you. You can't ride the tiger of crazy. It's these kinds of people who scream and shout and behave rather like a certain poster over at Ace's place a couple of days ago in response to an Uncle Jimbo post. It repulses rational adults, and if they become the image of your political party, well, it's permanent minority time.
That's what I meant when I said:

Judge Andrew Napolitano is a libretarian and formally endorsed Ron Paul for President in the last election cycle. So, for him to go off and celebrate interviews with the 'heroes' of the libretarian movement like RP, Alex Jones, and the odious Lew Rockwell, is not much of a surprise.
I pretty much change the channel whenever the 'Judge' appears to pontificate - thinking that he is very representative of the overall looniness that exists with the New Jersey State Supreme Court.
I would prefer to see FNC distance itself from this loon just as I prefer to distance myself from loons and fascists on both sides of the political spectrum.
It is good that this get's exposure so that all are warned that they need to always keep their critical thinking skills active and current. We can take nothing for granted as the loons are baying outside the walls.

This is why the Libs win. I'm not saying we shouldn't shun our nutcases, either. Just stating the fact. The Libs don't shun their nutcases, they embrace them. If you're a Lib nutcase, it does not matter a whit what you say or do, there is no line you cannot cross, no boundaries, no limits.
Conservatives, on the other hand, find and basically excommunicate the loonier-minded ones, whittling away at the branch until they're left with a toothpick at the core, just the pure, refined, untainted party. The high road is a lonely one, but there is really no other choice, is there? We'll find and root out loony conservatives until there are none remaining, and we'll then find that our voter base is really tiny.
Meanwhile the Left embraces and considers "family" just about anyone who hates Bush and Limbaugh. They think aliens created our species? So what, they hate Bush, welcome them. They think Jews should be obliterated because they are the cause of all the world's problems? So what, they hate Bush, welcome them. They see people with children as "breeders" to be looked upon with contempt? So what, they hate Bush, welcome them. They want to support Hamas, Hezbollah, the PLO, the Muslim Brotherhood? So what. They want to spit on American soldiers? They want to pretend to be American soldiers so they can claim to have participated in atrocities? So what. They hate Bush, welcome them.
Meanwhile, lets go find us some loonie Rightists and lets all have a fight!
I really don't see a solution. A party cannot be victorious without numbers. We cannot attain the big numbers by using division and subtraction. But we also cannot associate with the loonies - we must continue to divide and subtract. How to avoid the defeatist conclusion to the preceding facts: "therefore we cannot be victorious"? HOW?

I remember seeing AJ on local cable access in Austin back when I was in culinary school. He had a "documentary" that was about "rich people" offering human baby sacrifices to an "owl god" at some resort in California. It all about him "risking" his life to infiltrate the place cause all these "rich people" knew each other and if he was caught he surely would be murdered. He was told by a local "infiltrator" that all you had to do was wear dockers and polo shirt and walk in. He decides the guy was setting up a trap and goes into the woods... its really funny! He filmed this whole thing, no babies were offered, he wasn't recognized, nothing happened but hey the hippie activist down the road knows everything, has a whole room in her tree house dedicated to the "owl god truth"!

I think the country is in for some seriously hard times. Theres nothing conspiratorial about that.
The probability that the number of people who would necessarily be involved, and every single one get their story straight, no-one ever tells anyone, and no one who knows or are associated with them ever figures it out., lets say their were a hundred conspirators: there is a 0.95 probability for each person they don't leak or spill the beans 5% chance they screw up:
thats 0.95^100.
now let's see.
.005. so there is less than 1 chance in 100 of pulling it off. Historically, each person probably has at least a 20 % chance someone notices. There is a higher probability you will suffocate because the oxygen molecules in the air all happen by chance to congregate in another part of the room. It's not something I would worry about.
Theres no conspiracy. It's right here in our faces. They are all improvising.
the government is not competent to keep any thing hidden long and they certainly cannot succeed in a widespread conspiracy. Look at Katrina, now give two or three to every state.
They won't be able to even keep the phones answered, let alone control us and round us up and cart us off.

What was Alex Jones' beef with Michelle Malkin? I don't know who he is or what his schtick is.
I guess mostly for calling out truthers as being morons, but what he was going on about in that video was her book In Defense of Internment. Then of course he adds hyperbole and nonsense until what he's saying becomes unrelated to the book.
After seeing the video, I went ahead and bought her book just to see what he was making a fuss about. Perhaps not the reaction he wanted, since he has a lucrative business venture himself that was probably the intended beneficiary of the attention.
I haven't finished the book yet. Will report back when I do. But from the outset I'm highly skeptical of interrment in this day and age.

The Republican Party must reject discredited attitudes like creationism in science classes, or racism. It would be nice if the Democrats also rejected their fringe elements, especially the anti-Semitic ones. But regardless of what the Democrats do, Republicans should be dedicated to rebuilding a once-great party.
