Last week I blogged an AP story which attempted to recycle the lies in The Guardian by claiming to do “followup interviews” with the alleged “victims.” IOW, the “victims” read about the “atrocities” in The Guardian, then called AP to claim they were the ones it happened to. They even dumped a whole bunch of garbage in their house and claimed IDF soldiers did it.

The media has a responsibility to present information. The same information that people use to make judgements and decisions. That is their job. When the media decides to manipulate and distort that information it has chosen a side. And by choosing a side it has set itself up as an adversary to anyone with an opposing view. That is not their job and the opposing side - defined as free citizens - has every justification in fighting and defeating them.
The media is the enemy.

Christopher Hitchens had an article in Slate.com claiming a lot of nonsense, including one that rabbis in the IDF are radicalizing the soldiers with a lot of genocidal sermons. The comments were truly disgusting, with one poster copying and pasting horrible lies from Haaretz over and over — in response to most of the other commenters.

I tried to register to give some accurate feedback, but it didn’t take for some reason. If anyone else could, I’d be grateful. Like, after every repulsive reposting of Haaretz’s lies, there could be a short comment — like, That article is full of lies. Remember the Jenin “massacre”? This stuff is unproven claims and lies, just like the Jenin “massacre”. Don’t be fooled.

I AM SO FRUSTRATED that decent soldiers (including my nephew) are being demonized! And the BIG LIE goes on! Aargh!

True or False:
In the first 10-34 seconds, the universe experiences a brief period of extremely fast expansion known as inflation. This period smooths out initial inhomogeneities, leaving the universe with the homogeneity and isotropy we see today. Quantum mechanical fluctuations during this process are imprinted on the universe as density fluctuations that later seed the formation of structure.

The moronic convergence is complete…..
The Tea Party has gone Global

The Telegraph reports that Britain is getting closer to being placed under IMF control. With the upcoming G20 summit, Brown will have to answer some questions about his proposal. In the meantime, the taxpayers in England are fed up with their Prime Minister’s wasteful spending. The Tea Party is starting to gain global traction, which is always a good thing.

Addendum to this post: A good friend on Twitter informed me that many of these protestors are strong leftists, communists and anarchists, who want the government to spend the money on the people. There are also some conservatives who are also enraged at this action.

Technically speaking, it is thought that the very early universe cooled into a metastable state of false vacuum - it was then nudged towards genuine equilibrium by a process of quantum tunnelling. However, it was soon shown that the latter process is too violent to result in the universe we observe today. Instead, Linde , Albrecht and Steinhardt calculated that a more realistic model is a universe that moves from false vacuum to equilibrium via a gradual process

The New York Times is about as reliable as the Nat’l Enquirer. Sure the Enquirer gets a story right every now and again, but you never know when that time will be.

Case in point:
The reason John Edward’s love child story took so long for anyone to take seriously is precisely because of the Nat’l Enq’s reputation for printing outrageous lies.

Anyone who doesn’t realize by now the NYT’s fits into the same category is simply in denial.

Update on my earlier post: Fleecing the flock at the Tea Party

Rus Thompson’s Buffalo Tea Party

When I arrived, Jim Ostrowski was speaking, resplendent in his Ron Paul for President t-shirt. At one point, he began to call upon Buffalo’s professional class (doctors, lawyers, businesspeople, media moguls) to step up and stop supporting politics as usual and start working on behalf of the people. Some in the crowd heckled Ostrowski, accusing him of being off the mark when it comes to physicians, and of “demonizing” people.

While I understood what Ostrowski’s point was, I guess sometimes it looks better when it’s written down than it sounds when it comes out of your mouth. It did sound as if Ostrowski was heaping criticism on groups that weren’t supposed to be the target of the crowd’s ire. Sometimes, Ostrowski can be his worst enemy. During his speech, he announced that a study that Free NY had produced would be sent to Erie County residents, and people began throwing dollar bills at that idea.

Here’s video of the crowd giving him money (at about 0:40).

What is Free NY that produced this “report”? It’s a blog! Who runs the blog? James Ostrowski!
Why is a Ron Paul blogger collecting money at Tea Party protests? the news report I linked to earlier said he collected $2,000. Not bad for a few hours work.

In one example, it was reported that Israel had bombed a United Nations school, killing 42 civilians. As our video shows, the story was a lie and yet one more example of the anti-Israel media bias.

Big (and for that matter small) companies have to “prove” that they are “going grren” in order to
A) even be considered for gov’t contracts and
B) stave off the wave of whackos at the ready to picket their offices and hound their execs

A little item that will never make the MSM or press.

But in its way it tells you EVERYTHING you will ever need to know about the Arab/Israeli conflict.

The truths these facts evidence is worth more then the thousands of books and papers and lectures and peace processes and plans and road maps and condemnations of Israel and settlement building excuses and every other blame Israel excuse for the wars and terror.

PA dismantles W. Bank youth orchestra

Palestinian authorities disbanded a youth orchestra from a West Bank refugee camp after it played for a group of Holocaust survivors in Israel, a local official said on Sunday.

The report is at various sources but the analysis of the truths evidenced in this repulsive ‘Palestinian’ reaction is missing.

I heard that the DVDs Obama gave to Brown were indeed the wrong format. Together with Hillary’s famous “reset” button and innumerable other travesties, our government is convincingly demonstrating that collectively (pun intended) they are “dumb as dirt.” And they want to run our health care, auto industry, and insurance companies.

Imagine what would have happened in the tree-wasting press if Bush or Condi made those gaffs instead?

Ever think you will see a report where the paper tells how they fully researched the claim and they denounce the liars for propagandizing withe false claims?

I wonder when the mainstream media will report the truths about Iraq and the WMDs we found, granted some were fabricated,we found deadly stockpiles of chemical weapons and a start off nuclear weapons program(yellowcake anyone?).However,if Cheney or Bush is ever mentioned on CNN or MSMBC it takes less than 10 comments on average to reach to reach a poster with “Bush and/or Cheney lied about the WMDs in Iraq and they lied to America, don’t listen to anything they have to say because they are liars, period” One thing I hope for while Obama is president is the utter demise of these lies. Off the top of my head I can remember three such instances where the President has ordered complete secrecy on the transportation of radioactive materials out of Iraq, and chemical weapons to be incinerated to uselessness. These operations were conducted in secrecy to consume the smallest amount of resources and security as possible, which in turn provides more troops and equipment to actually rebuild the country. I understand that some politicians with no security clearances have started the rumors of no WMDs,but today(with substantial evidence declassified) not a single Democrat in power would currently DARE to utter such a statement, however they are 100% content with never correcting their voters since it helps them all the more.

This is just par for the course. The British newspaper The Guardian is actively looking for anti-Israel comments. As seen in an earlier blog, the BBC and other media outlets are attending dinners for pro-Palestinian news outlets. Ha’aretz printed the original charges of Israeli “atrocities” from a premilitary school that is dedicated to “peace” as well as making the Israeli army look bad. They also accused orthodox Jewish rabbis of inciting troops to attack any non-Jews. However, when the army tried to trace the claims of deliberately shooting civilians, it became a matter of hearsay. No one had actually witnessed any crimes. Of course the charges are printed on page 1, and the truth on page 4. After Israel was falsely accused of bombing a UN school, why is anyone listening to this stuff without questioning it?

Reminds of a story I heard once….
about a ‘paper that cried for the wolves’…
or was it a ‘boy that cried wolf?’

The slant of the MSM against good and in favor of evil has been known
for years. Print or Broadcast makes no difference. During the Gaza
Conflict the BBC was already crying “war crimes” playing on known British anti-Jewish feelings.

However HONEST observers knew that was a typical
smear against Israel.

From another bloger: < [Link: www.volokh.com…] Jan 21, 2009 7:51pm]

British Military expert declares that IDF best in all history at avoiding civilian
casualties

A retired British colonel, on the BBC no less, says that there has been
“no time in the history of warfare when an army has made more efforts to
reduce civilian casualties and the deaths of innocent people than the
IDF did in Gaza.”

Video is still available http://www.youtube.com/v/WssrKJ3Iqcw&hl=en&fs=1 Notice how the newsreader reacts when the speaker tells the truth.

And here is a short bio on the speaker.

Colonel Richard Kemp CBE, an army veteran of 30 years commanded British
forces in Afghanistan in 2003. He also served in Northern Ireland and
fought in the first Gulf war.
