Iranian Nuclear Smuggling Plot Uncovered in Manhattan

US News • Views: 2,671

The Manhattan district attorney’s office has announced that they’ve discovered a plot to smuggle nuclear weapons materials to Iran, with the unwitting help of New York banks.

The indictment will outline the financial conspiracy behind 58 different transactions, including shipments of various banned materials from China to Iran between 2006 and late 2008.
Among them:

* 33,000 pounds of a specialized aluminum alloy used almost exclusively in long-range missile production.

* 66,000 pounds of tungsten copper plate, which is used in missile guidance systems.

* 53,900 pounds of maraging steel rods, a superhard metal used in uranium enrichment and to make the casings for nuclear bombs.

The recipient is believed to have been a subsidiary of the Iranian Defense Ministry. The suspect, who is not believed to be in the U.S., set up four bogus import-export companies that did business with six Iranian shell firms, one source said.

IAEA: No N-weaponization found in Iran

The IAEA has not detected the use of nuclear material linked to Iran’s “alleged studies” of weaponization, the agency’s latest report says.

See, it’s all just a mistake!

“This case will cut off a major source of supply to Iran and it shows how they are going ahead full steam to get a nuclear bomb. Long-range missiles they pretty much have already,” a law enforcement source close to the case said.

A clear violation that will not make ripples with any global organization whose mission it is to stop this madness, like the IAEA or the UN. What frightens me is that this won’t make ripples in Washington either.

Why tear your hair out? Just do what TOTUS is doing.

US may cede to Iran’s nuclear ambition

US officials are considering whether to accept Iran’s pursuit of uranium enrichment, which has been outlawed by the United Nations and remains at the heart of fears that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons capability.

As part of a policy review commissioned by President Barack Obama, diplomats are discussing whether the US will eventually have to accept Iran’s insistence on carrying out the process, which can produce both nuclear fuel and weapons- grade material.

If Iran had a Manhattan Project, it would be a misnomer of sorts since Manhattan is merely No. 2 on their purported target’s list.

Total irony here as Manhattaners become a supplier of the material which might be used for their nuclear death sentence…sounds a lot like the old USSR policy on Capital Punishment which made the condemned or his or her family pay for the bullet that carried out their execution.

That was the Chinese. The Russians just didn’t tell the family. The family used to find out by going around to each of the prisons and seeing where the parcel was accepted.

If it wasn’t accepted at any of them, your loved one was dead.

Frankly? As awful as it is, I’d rather get the charge for the bullet. At least I’d know for sure, and fairly soon.

This is the recipe used by the KGB, right?
Polonium is radioactive, but reasonably safe, unless ingested. It emits alpha particles which do not penetrate skin.

Look at his record: One of the few foreign-policy initiatives to which Obama stuck his name during his brief Senate term was an increase in funding for nuclear nonproliferation. One of the few senatorial trips he managed was a nuclear inspection tour of Russia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan.

Authorities first stumbled over the scheme seven months ago in an unrelated probe into Iranian money-laundering through Lloyd’s, a British bank.

In January, Lloyd’s paid a $350 million fine to settle accusations it “stripped” information from Iranian money transfers to New York banks, hiding where the cash came from.

Officials said they suspected that money was also used to finance Iran’s nuke program.

“The important thing is to put sunlight on these deals,” the law enforcement source said.

“I say the same thing to my Jewish friends - you have to see the perspective of the Palestinians. Learning to stand in someone else’s shoes, to see through their eyes… this is how peace begins.”
To the Arabs, this is what he said:

“In the Muslim world, the notion that somehow everything is the fault of the Israelis lacks balance because there are two sides to every question,” AFP quoted the US president as telling university students in Istanbul.

What ever are y’all so worried about?

Iran is a tiny little country. They pose no threat to the mighty U.S. of A.

Someone very important told me that. I’ll have to check and find out who.

Eased my mind a lot, though. Yep. Moonbeams and puppies, as far as the mind’s eye can see.

The mistake being made here is pursuing this sort of activity after the fact. Look how hard that turns out to be: the DoJ had to sort through a dozen or more shell corporations to track down where this material was going to wind up.

A more reasonable approach would be to attack the problem from the other end, and keep a closer eye on the suppliers. That’s one way the Secret Service stays on top of counterfeiting - they sit down with printing press manufacturers on a regular basis and go through their sales logs, chatting up questionable purchases with the salespeople involved.

For much of this material, there are very, very few sources - the US, China, Russia, maybe Japan in some cases. Those are the countries that need to get together and reach an agreement not to allow this sort of proliferation to proceed.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like we’re going to make any progress with China or Russia over the next four years. They’ve seen which way the wind is blowing, and are going to be aggressively pursuing their own ends, which include control of the Middle East’s oil reserves either for their own use (China) or for political and economic control over much of the world (Russia). Our role is going to be limited to occasional weak bleating at the UN. If that.

Iran: 636,374 square miles.

Threat level: No threat.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Barack Obama reached out to Iran on Friday — the start of the Iranian New Year — in a video message offering “the promise of a new beginning” that is “grounded in mutual respect.”

They say New Yorkers are smart, but I really have to question that statement when it comes to their politics. They were hit in 1993 and of course on 9/11. It is 100% clear that NYC will always be the #1 target of the islamoscumbags. So if I lived in that city and state, I’d vote for the most aggressive leaders possible because I would want the bad guys to know that hitting NY means going up against people who will retaliate with strength. So what do they do? They vote for just the opposite types of people. I would never EVER say “they get what they deserve” because they don’t deserve a nuclear strike. But I fear they have sentenced themselves to something along those lines with their choices in the voting booth.

My prediction: President Teleprompter isn’t going to say a word about this. He’s got other, more important things to worry about, like firing executives at GM.

Also, I truly believe he does not give a damn whether the mullahs in Tehran have their own nuke.

I think he does give a damn…and by turning a blind eye (blank teleprompter) their way, his work is done sooner….Once done he can give us the shoulder shrug and ask “what id you want me to do?”

He said he wanted to hear our voices, he never said he was going to listen to us….

Would the perp get to walk out…because they were:

1) Driving a “green car” and reducing the carbon of the planet

and

2) Taking another carbon footprint off the accounting ledgers, thereby helping Gaia to live, while people, too numerous, die?

God help us when they bring this logic before the bench…and, it may sound crazy right now, but you know, there’s a little “collateral damage” in all wars (to save the planet)!.

Months back I watched a TV crime special that was about one of the USSR’s most prolific serial killers. He was eventually executed by the method of the day, shot in the head in his cell. The information close to the end of the piece was that the family was charged for the bullet used to execute him. At the time, I thought, ‘how cold and cruel!’
