Ahmadinejad Will Attend Durban ‘Anti-Racism’ Conference

World • Views: 3,089

The Holocaust-denying thug-in-chief of Iran has announced that he plans to attend the United Nations’ “anti-racism” conference in Durban, South Africa: Another Forum For Ahmadinejad.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has announced his intention to attend the U.N.’s Durban II conference, which begins on April 20 in Geneva.

The summit is billed by the U.N. as an occasion to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. But Ahmadinejad denies the Holocaust, has advocated genocide and openly seeks the annihilation of the state of Israel.

In providing a hatemonger with a global platform—under the banner of an “anti-racism” conference—the United Nations has become an enabler of genocide. It is time for every decent, self-respecting democratic state to withdraw immediately from Durban II.

True, but it’s not going to happen. And don’t be surprised to see Barack Obama announce that the US will be there too.

I wouldn't expect Obama to be there in person though perhaps Sec. of State Clinton or someone down lower on the pecking order. It's an absolute disgrace that the US hasn't firmly stood on the side of decency here.

Joining the UN Human Rights Council was yet another disgrace for this administration.

Chas Freeman doesn't need to be part of this administration- his ideas have already been accepted by this administration.

Durban II Update [Anne Bayefsky]
The festivities at the U.N. Durban II “anti-racism” planning meeting continued this afternoon in Geneva. The conference starts in two weeks, but the negotiations are already heated. Not surprisingly, the most active participants by a huge margin are the member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference [OIC]. And right at the top of the OIC’s star contributors — in a meeting to combat intolerance — is Iran. That’s the country where homosexuality is a capital offence, women are stoned to death for alleged adultery, and whose president openly advocates the murder of 5 million Jews.

America still considering attending Durban II - Susan Rice
Ed Lasky

There was anguish among many Americans when the Obama administration agreed to participate in the planning sessions for Durban II -- a UN conference against racism which would be a "sequel" to the first such Durban conference in 2001 that became an anti-Semitic hatefest. The Bush administration pulled out of that conference and took a principled stand by refusing to participate in the planning of the second such conference...

Gibbs Denies the Bow

As bizarre and disturbing as it was to see Barack Obama bow to Saudi King Abdallah, it is certainly true, as White House spokesman Robert Gibbs claimed today, that there are more important issues facing the country.

But how odd it is that the White House -- first on background and now on the record -- is denying that Obama did what he plainly did?

QUESTION: And then one unrelated question. When the president met with King Abdullah, there was something that took place which I believe the White House explained as just the president being taller than the king. We took a look at the video, and it does appear that the president actually bowed to King Abdullah. Did he bow or didn't he?

GIBBS: No, I think he bent over with both to shake -- with both hands to shake his hand, so I don't...

QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE) one hand, that he -- he was just...

GIBBS: Well I -- I -- I -- this is...

QUESTION: Did he bow or didn't he?

GIBBS: No, but I think this meeting was like a week ago, right?

QUESTION: That's right, but this is something that a lot of people are still talking about today.

GIBBS: I can only imagine it is of great cause and concern for many people struggling with the economy.

With the media spending more time on Sarah Palin's daughter's ex-boyfriend, I suppose it is a good sign that someone in the White House press corps actually asked Gibbs why his boss genuflected to the Saudi ruler. But if this had been George W. Bush and Dana Perino would the White House get such a pass?

Gibbs Denies the Bow

[...] With the media spending more time on Sarah Palin's daughter's ex-boyfriend, I suppose it is a good sign that someone in the White House press corps actually asked Gibbs why his boss genuflected to the Saudi ruler. But if this had been George W. Bush and Dana Perino would the White House get such a pass? [...]

Hell yes. Would, could and did.

The Bush family has been tongue-kissing the Saudis for decades. Tongue and ass. Hand and foot. Sword-dancing, knife-prancing, soft-shoeing, prince-wooing, fat-chewing, trouble-brewing. All for oil. And the greater glory of Crawford and Kennebunkport.

Obama is in great company here. He and Bush probably had a secret email exchange comparing notes on Abdullah's breath mints and condom brand.

Woman beats her 2 year old son to death, sues over mugshot without burka....
Islam 'insulted' by alleged child killer's mug shot, says husband

The police booking photo of alleged child killer Nour Hadid released Tuesday is an "insult against our religion," says Hadid's husband, Alaeddin.

Orland Park police detectives say the 26-year-old Muslim woman was treated as any other suspect in a murder probe would be, and they did not intend to humiliate her when they photographed her Sunday without her headscarf and wearing only a skimpy top.

Nour Hadid is accused of beating her 2-year-old niece Bhia Hadid to death over four days at her home on the 9000 block of West 140th Street. The child had 55 separate bruises and was beaten "from head to toe," according to prosecutors, who say Hadid confessed.
.....
Islamic advocacy groups seem wary of taking up Hadid's cause.

Spokesmen for the Council on Islamic American Relations, the Islamic Society of North America and the Bridgeview Mosque Foundation all declined to comment Thursday.

But Dr. Mohammed Sahloul, chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Chicago, said that while police should follow the usual procedures with all defendants, "they should respect the modesty of the accused."

Of course, the Saudis were quite on board with Gulf War I, since they perceived (correctly) that their own asses were on the line.

Not so much with Gulf War II. I don't like a lot of things about GW Bush's relationship with them, but he did basically tell the Saudis to get stuffed over their opposition to GWII.

It has to do with regime change, if we can obliterate Iraq and depose their ruler, what's to stop us from deposing the Saudi Royals? Except that our money is keeping the Saudi Royals in power, because I think their royalty is hanging on by the skin of their military.

A bow goes way beyond catering. A bow denotes subservience. Kissing on the cheek is customary in many cultures, Arabic as well as European.
Hand holding is a peculiarly Arabic custom. I lived in Saudi Arabia and had Arab friends hold my hand. It creeped me out but it was a sign of friendship, nothing else.

I finally saw a good tape of the incident. BHO just about rubbed the top of his head on the guy's belt buckle.

Piracy

Lots of talk about this of late. Piracy is really simple- find the pirates, kill the pirates. Find any one helping them, jail them or kill them too.

In places Mogadishu and Eyl pirates are building beautiful big houses. Bomb them. Sink ever ship that comes out of Somalia. Fishing vessels or transport, sink them all. "Oh this is unjust," some will say. No it is not. Somalia has not had a functioning government in 20 years. Why should they be entitled access to the sea? The fisherman are complicit in the actions. Just announce that any boat, ship or raft coming out of Somalia is fair game.

Then hunt down and imprison the folks handling ransoms. Make piracy and anything associated with it radioactive- summary courts with 30 year sentences, not in nice US jails, oh no, pay Turkey or Egypt to give these guys real imprisonment, pay them up front for the entire cost of imprisonment that way the jailers have the highest incentive to see for the well being of their charges.....

Don't hold meetings, just start shooting. When chaos and death rain from the skies, scum tends to seek the safety of the nearest sewer.

Also, for some reason a whole passel of F-16s are zipping around over my house.

I'm sorry but this needs to be put into some sort of perspective. Bush was in fact friendly with the Saudi's as did every other President. The fact that they are one of the major provider's of the oil that we need to run our nation is one that can't be trivialized away. I dislike the Saudi's as much as anyone, especially since 9-11, but unless we are prepared to declare war on them and sieze their oilfileds, complaining about friendly relations is a cheap shot.
perhaps if we weren't completely hamstrung here at home by the leftists who won't allow nuclear plants, nmore refineries, digging offshore or in ANWR we wouldn't be so dependent but they are in control.
It's fashionable to indict Americans for their 'addiction to oil'. It is more accurate to say that Americans are addicted to getting to work.
Until we get over that or until we get some sane concessions from our own left, our relationship with Saudi Arabia remains. That still does not mean we bow down to them.

re: #187 ayatollah ghilmeini Sadly, you are correct about how to deal with pirates.
I say sadly, because with President Obama as CiC that is NEVER gonna happen. None of it will happen.
The Ameican Captain of an America Ship, captured by Pirates, does the truly honorable thing of surrendering himself to save his crew.
We send a VERY POWERFUL WARSHIP to the area. It's sitting there watching the lifeboat in which said American Captain is sitting together with several pirates. Said American Captain makes a break for freedom - jumps overboard and starts swimming and the poweful US WARSHIP, with Marines and snipers aboard helps him by SITTING THERE AND WATCHNG THE PIRATES CAPTURE HIM. They do not blow up the lifeboat and then save said American Captain. They don't even fire a few rounds from a .50 caliber at or over the lifeboat to slow down his pursuers. But they do watch.
We are living in a whole new reality ayatollah ghilmeini and we must recognize that fact. I'm not sure we have to accept it, but we do have to recognize it.
