ANAHEIM, Calif. - A high pitch from Josh Beckett [stats] to Bobby Abreu as time was being called touched off a bench-clearing incident in the first inning of Sunday’s game between the Boston Red Sox [team stats] and Los Angeles Angels.

With Chone Figgins at second base, one out and a 1-2 count on Abreu, Beckett remained in the stretch position for several seconds while getting the sign he wanted from catcher Jason Varitek [stats]. Just as plate umpire Paul Schreiber jumped out to call time, Beckett threw the ball over Abreu’s head as he backed out of the batter’s box.

Abreu said something to Beckett and was held back by Schreiber, then both dugouts and bullpens emptied. No punches were thrown, and the Angels were ordered back to the dugout by manager Mike Scioscia, who was in the middle of a conversation with crew chief Joe West when Beckett came off the mound and said something to Scioscia.

Suddenly, the benches and bullpens spilled onto the diamond again, and this time there was some pushing and shoving. Angels center fielder Torii Hunter was ejected by West and had to be restrained by teammate Howie Hendrick. Angels hitting coach Mickey Hatcher and reliever Justin Speier also were ejected.

When play resumed, Abreu grounded out and Beckett retired Vladimir Guerrero.

Kevin Youkilis [stats] led off the Boston second, and the count was 1-2 on him when Scioscia yelled something from the dugout and was ejected by third base ump Ed Rapuano. Scioscia came back on the field to argue with Rapuano and West, and after play resumed, Youkilis and J. D. Drew hit back-to-back home runs against Dustin Moseley.

(CNN) -- A Saudi judge has refused for a second time to annul a marriage between an 8-year-old girl and a 47-year-old man, a relative of the girl told CNN.

The most recent ruling, in which the judge upheld his original verdict, was handed down Saturday in the Saudi city of Onaiza, where late last year the same judge rejected a petition from the girl's mother, who was seeking a divorce for her daughter.

The relative said the judge, Sheikh Habib Al-Habib, "stuck by his earlier verdict and insisted that the girl could petition the court for a divorce once she reached puberty." The family member, who requested anonymity, added that the mother will continue to pursue a divorce for her daughter.

My take is different..I watched the presser..And I don't think thats the way it went down..The Captain was always in danger with with an AK47 pinted at his back..
Once all 3 pirates were in a sniper scope they all died and all died at the same moment..Otherwise there would still be a pirate and the Captain curled up in a corner. It was the use of deadly and sudden force by the Navy.

Cripes even if that's only partially accurate it's scary stuff.

On the upside, warheads are maintenance intensive. The chances of a 15 year old warhead being functional are slim. However it would given the buyer a device to reverse engineer and plutonium for a dirty bomb or someone with the wherewithal to make a new device he Pu they need.

Courageous of him to allow the US navy to surround a lifeboat holding an American hostage and actually shoot at it return fire when the hostage escaped on his own.
