They have to stick to their narrative because to admit Charles is being rational about this, and not just exercising damage control, would mean they might have to consider the heretical notion that he's been rational all along.

Politics has become all about personalities. What ever happened to debating the issues?

Ah Charles! You had so many people believing you were something simple like a one-dimensional polemicist. They stuck a label on you and filed you away. It's weird, but a whole lot of people think that way...(or is it that they use that trick in order NOT to have to think?)

You know why I make LGF my prime choice for taking the pulse of this crazy world? Because Charles, you are reasonable and rational. You think critically, demand evidence, and tell the truth even when it hurts. This blog makes a difference...it's one of the only examples of enlightened and open minded conservatism that I can find anywhere. Just as I ask Mike Yon for the truth of war, I ask LGF for the truth in political discourse. Sadly, I have found that I can't get this kind of frank, bald faced truth anywhere else. Thanks Charles.
