Pamela Geller: Poster Girl for Eurofascists

World • Views: 28,236

Pamela Geller of “Atlas Shrugs” and Paul Belien of “Brussels Journal” have been announced as speakers at a German far right event organized by a group called “Pro Köln” — a successor to the notorious fascist group “Deutsche Liga für Volk und Heimat” (the “German League for People and Homeland”).

The “Pro Köln” group is under observation by the German inland secret service.

According to the website pi-news.net, Robert Spencer has also been invited: Translated version of “Israel Friends in the anti-Islamisierungskongress”.

One of the main organizers of “Pro Köln” is Manfred Rouhs. Here are two photos of Rous with hardcore neo-Nazi activist Axel Reitz, who the local media call “the Hitler of Cologne.”

And here’s a really charming photo of Axel Reitz in full Hitler regalia (at center):

The guy standing to Reitz’s left in that photo is Christian Worch:

Christian Worch (born 1956) is one of the most important figures of the German neo-Nazi scene.

In 1974 Worch started a militant group called the Hansabande in Hamburg, along with Michael Kühnen. The group defaced Jewish cemeteries, assaulted leftists and foreigners[1], and denied the Holocaust. Worch took part in one especially well-known campaign under the motto “I am an ass to believe that Jews were gassed in Germany” (Ich Esel glaube, daß in Deutschland Juden vergast worden sind). The group gradually became the Aktionsfront Nationaler Sozialisten (ANS, Action Front of National Socialists) in 1977. Worch and Kühnen were also close to the now-banned Wiking-Jugend (Viking Youth).

Kühnen was arrested in 1979 and Worch took over leadership of the ANS. In 1980 he was convicted to a three-year prison sentence, despite being defended by Jürgen Rieger during his trial. In 1983, the organization now known as the ANS/NA (Aktionsfront Nationaler Sozialisten/Nationale Aktivisten, Action Front of National Socialists/National Activists) was banned, so Worch joined the Freiheitliche Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (FAP, Free German Workers’ Party) and became vice-chairman. As the Nationale Liste (National List) was founded in 1989, he became active in its executive committee. He edited its magazine, Index, until September 1991 and was especially active in Anti-Antifa work. In this campaign, lists of names and addresses of left-wing and anti-fascist activists and organizations were published; this led to attacks on some of the people listed. Worch was one of the main initiators of the campaign.

Geller has become the Right-wing equivalent of the Neturei Karta. Where those imbeciles provided cover to antisemites such as Ahmadinejad, she provides cover for the Neo-Nazi front.

Also see this comment from the previous thread....

Pro Köln is still a very small group, with not more than 500 members. It's true that their leading figures Manfred Rouhs (formerly NPD) and Markus Beisicht (formerly Deutsche Liga für Volk und Heimat) are coming from the militant Nazi-Milieu. Though, they are now trying to give themselves a new image, away from militant Neo-Nazi "against the system"-attitude towards a "loyal to the constitution".
Their main focus now is agitation against foreigners - especially muslims - and an accentuation of "christian" values.
To "prove" that they aren't racist, they now always proudly present Joseph Intsiful, as well as an israeli flag. Intsiful is a member of the notorious Society of St. Pius X and of course it's very clear that he is playing the role for pro Köln that Norman Finkelstein is playing for Anti-Semites worldwide.
But the causa pro Köln also demonstrates what happens, when rightwing-extremists focus on racism instead of anti-semitism: the "real" Nazis from NPD and Freie Kameradschaften (independent Nazis) have released spiteful comments directed at pro Köln, calling them "jewish slaves" and threatens them with violence.

It's also noteworthy, that the thousands of left counter-protesters last time were partly violent - and not only against the racists of pro Köln, but also against a very small group (not more than 30 people), who had announced a third demonstration, against racism and islamism. Organizer of this small demonstration were Mina Ahadi (who was insulted as "racist") as well as Holocaust-survivor Ralph Giordano.

I don't know if the aforementioned will repeat a demonstration. If not, there's no side to ally with and it may be best to avoid Cologne anyway, as there will be riots for sure.

Yes. The Japanese realized their old system lost, so they decided to change to be more like the winners, and that has been good for them. These neo-Nazi shitheads remind me of the Muslims who think that since they're losing, they need to stricter in their observance and harsher on infidels, even though that is the cause of their problems.

perhaps their one even slightly redeeming feature -- the Nazis WERE snappy dressers.

They ripped the "trench" off from the British, who invented it and gave it its name. (WW 1 combat kit- warm, waterproof, and the large pockets were for Mills Bombs.)

the British however, had the (traditional English) courtesy to admit that their "trench coat" was an adaptation of the Aussie "drover's coat"- which was an adaptation of the American cowboy's "trail coat", or as it is better known today, the "duster".

I personally think it looked better on our OSS types than it ever did on the Geheime Staatspolizei crowd, but maybe that's just me.

Also for anyone who doubts that Axel is a nazi and that Charles might be smearing him, this from the 2005 anti semitism report:

The promotion of antisemitic conspiracy theories by the traditionally xenophobic and anti-Muslim extreme right has led to its embrace of radical Islamists. During a demonstration in Essen, for example, on 16 April, under the banner “Keine Waffen für Israel? Keine Unterstützung für Zionisten!” (No weapons for Israel! No help for Zionists), neo-Nazi Axel Reitz (‘Gauleiter Rheinland’ or ‘Gausekretär des Gau Rheinland’) linked the struggle of the Arab world against the US and Israel to that of his group Kampfbund Deutscher Sozialisten. Together, he said, they form what he called a Schicksalsgemeinschaft, a common destiny: “We are far from being as fascist and militant as Israel... The resistance [of the Arab world] even if classified as terrorism is being degraded just as our political activities [are regarded] as criminal.”

Pro Köln spreads to München:

Why is (or rather: was, until somebody scratched if off yesterday night) there a sticker from a right-wing Cologne voter group (that’s something a bit like a political party, but easier to create and limited to one town or city) in Munich?

Well, I found the answer two days later when I saw an advertising billboard from “Pro München”, a new spawn of “Pro Köln” trying to get some votes in our upcoming local elections. Obviously they were too lame to get their own stickers printed, so they just used those from their friends in Cologne.

Read more about them on “Munich friends” (in German) or on “Toytown Germany” (in English).

Indiana Police Arrest 2 Fifth-Graders for Selling Marijuana at School
Thursday, April 23, 2009

INDIANAPOLIS — Police have arrested two fifth-graders on charges that they were selling marijuana at their eastside Indianapolis elementary school.

Warren Township school spokesman Dennis Jarrett says a student told school officials he saw a classmate at Brookview Elementary sell a "marijuana-like substance" to another student Tuesday morning.

Police confirmed that the substance was a small amount of marijuana and arrested the two boys, ages 10 and 11.

The boys were arrested on juvenile charges of dealing and possessing marijuana and taken to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center. Both were suspended from school, pending an investigation.

Reputed Hitler watercolors sell at English auction

What a British auction house claims are a set of paintings and sketches by a young Adolf Hitler sold at auction Thursday for 97,672 pounds ($143,358).

Among the 15 pictures is a portrait of solitary figure dressed in brown peering into wine-colored waters. The date is 1910, the signature reads "A. Hitler" and scribbled just over the mysterious figure are the letters: "A.H."

-snip-

The portrait itself sold for about 10,000 pounds ($14,600). The buyer John Ratledge, 46, said he planned to hang it at home or in his office.

Good work, Charles. This is very interesting. Talk about someone feeding an alligator...there you have it.

She sailed away
On a sunny summer's day
On the back of a crocodile
"You'll see."
Said she
"He's as tame as tame can be,
I'll ride him down the Nile."
The croc winked his eye
As she bade them all good-bye
Wearing a happy smile.
At the end of the ride
The lady was inside
And the smile
was on the crocodile

152 Truck Monkey  Thu, Apr 23, 2009 4:23:53pm

Hey Pamela!

The Scorpion and the Frog
One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.

The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn't see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.

Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.

"Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?"

"Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?" asked the frog hesitantly.

"Because," the scorpion replied, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!"

Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. "What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!"

"This is true," agreed the scorpion, "But then I wouldn't be able to get to the other side of the river!"

"Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.

"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"

So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.

Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.

"I could not help myself. It is my nature."

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Self destruction - "Its my Nature", said the Scorpion...

Be careful with the scorpions.

According to their site, besides Geller, Lars Hedegaard and Brussels-Journal-blogger Paul Belien, the most prominent politicians will be Philip Claeys, Filip Dewinter (both Vlaams Belang) , Andreas Mölzer and Harald Vilimsky (both from Austrian FPÖ), Robert Spieler (from small French party Alsace first) and Henry Nitzsche (Member of German Bundestag). I somewhere read that also Mario Borghezio (from Italian Lega Nord) will show up.

Though, I would not take pro-Köln's announcements too seriously. Last year, they triumphantly announced that LePen would come to their congress. LePen denied he was in contact with them, but they still announced him - until the congress took place and no LePen was there.

Alsace l' Abord and VB trade speakers for their Youth Groups frequently, basically you have all of the major tribal separatists in Europe attending. Lega Nord just hosted a Far Right meeting in Milan iirc.

The thing about Geller is that her hate blinds her to the company she keeps. I actually feel pity towards her because at one time or another, the reality of associating with Jew haters will smack her square in the face.

I hope she discovers the true intentions of these people before it is too late.

I also pity her. She obviously suffers from some kind of psychological disorder and appears to also be an alcoholic.

I guess I feel most sorry for her children. She is so filled with fear and anger that she can't be much of a mother.

Nitzsche' s on the far right. In a speech he said Germany should stop feeling guilt for its' past so that it would no longer be be governed by multi-kulti faggots (his quote, not mine) and was then thrown out of the CDU (German conservative party). After this speech the neo-nazi NPD started supporting him in local elections.

I think she is a bored upper middle class New York housewife who has found meaning in her life by hating. Giving that up, as well as the fight with Charles would make her life meaningless again. She is so invested in her position she can't see how ultimately damaging it is to her cause.

re: #139 Proud kaffir

Are there pro-Israel neo-Nazis?

There are ethnic nationalists that are fans of Israel, seeing it as a prototype for an ethnic state that they want for their own particular 'tribe'. You could probably call these people 'Nazis', and the tag would be about as appropriate as most modern neo-Nazi organizations.

Keep in mind, that even groups that claim the Nazi title don't always follow Nazi ideology 100%. Most American neo-Nazis from my experience are more fueled by hatred of blacks (and obsessed with skin color in general), than Jews as one prominent example. I've even seen comments on forums 'absolving' Jews and Gypsies that are 'white' (primarily of European heritage) from being involved with the 'swarthy horde'.

So, I'd say that there are in fact pro-Israel Nazis, despite the cognitive dissonance involved in that position.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday dismissed European calls to suspend the upgrade in Israel's relations with the European Union. "Don't set conditions for us," Netanyahu told Mirek Topolanek during the Czech premier's visit to Israel. Netanyahu said Israel's relationship to Europe should not be linked to its relationship to the Palestinians.

"Peace is in Israel's interest no less than it is in Europe's interest, and there's no need to make the upgrade in relations with Israel conditional on progress on the peace process," Netanyahu said. "We are in the process of reviewing our policy; don't rush us."

I think they're done spinning. They might complain a little bit but I think in their minds they feel since the accusation has already been made they might as well keep on doing it. How much worse could it get. They're already promoting VB, BNP now pro-klon. Le Penn should be next maybe even David Duke. All it would take is a few platitudes about Israel and they'd have no problem getting on with these folks.

261 Sharmuta  Thu, Apr 23, 2009 5:05:24pm

There is little doubt in my mind pamela and robert know exactly who they're dealing with. They spent so much time focusing on jihad, I don't think they care. They honestly think the best way to deal with islamic extremists is to get some extremists of their own, and if that means nazis, then so be it for them.

278 yochanan  Thu, Apr 23, 2009 5:10:32pm

Janet Napolitano is transparent in her determination to ensure that her department is a good fit for the Obama pro-illegal Latino immigration policy. She works hard to divert attention and resources away from the embarrassing sieve called the Mexican border and the severe threat to US national security which it so obviously represents.
She tries to accomplish this by:
1. Profiling low-risk groups such as veterans, Christian fundies and other right wing groups;
2. Issuing directives to focus on employers of illegals to the virtual exclusion of any enforcement against the illegal immigrants and the vast illegal Mexican crime syndicates operating in the US with virtual impunity;
3. Calling for the repeal of policies implementing recommendations of the 9/11 commission; and,
4. Focusing resources on the Canadian border instead of the Mexican border and seeking to justify this by making idiotic and false claims that the 9/11 and other terrorists enter the US from Canada (only the unsuccessful LAX bomber, who was arrested at the border, crossed from Canada).
Napolitano is unfit.

300 Athos  Thu, Apr 23, 2009 5:15:38pm

Notice how Pamela was described as 'conservative journalist'?

From Richard Fernandez - the WSJ editorial (I read in the print edition) - Obama with the Dictators that brought up an effort of Phillipine dictator Marcos arriving in WSJ offices in NYC to use the visit as a propaganda exercise. As Richard said - Propaganda. The message for the Philippine opposition was: Behold, the Americans are with me, not you.”

The message from the use of the term 'conservative' and the participation of Pam and possibly Robert to others, in Germany, in the EU, and in the US, is see, the CONSERVATIVES are with us. It is a propaganda bonanza for those cretins brought to them by the cretins who think that the enemy of my enemy is my friend regardless of how vile they are or the odious things they stand for.

Charles's opposition, and our principled opposition (those of us who stand with Charles on this) has provoked a blogwar / civil war on the subject of providing recognition and an aura of respectability to odious neo-Nazi's. Remember that Pam, and Robert, and those who call for the alliance with these neo-Nazi's are the ones who are selling out and joining with evil.

Pamela with her decision to attend has gone from being an useful idiot to an active supporter of all that she should stand against. There is no difference between her and the neo-Nazi's? Robert too if he decides to participate in this. Their character has been tested - and found profoundly lacking.

I think it took them a while to figure it out, probably by accident. VB and Sweden Democrats were still doing regular neo-nazi stuff after 9-11. I'm not sure is Le Penn or David Duke will ever make the transition but their followers will.

Case in point - I've imported a certain device, used for smoking tobacco during the Qing Dynasty, by none other than the Dowager Empress Cixi her own royal self, and widely used for this purpose in China even to this day, that hippies and pot heads here use for smoking other substances. I didn't think twice about it; I can spend a pot-head's money with a clean conscience.

That's the point that Spencer continually tries to obscure with his complaints about unfair "guilt by association". The fact is that his association with these people has given them, at least in some peoples minds - ie his loyal 'anti-jihadist' minions, in whose eyes he can do no wrong - a veneer of respectability they would otherwise not have. They "support" Israel because it's an "apartheid" state, like they wish they could be. At least- I believe that is their justification. They want to be like Israel, and Israel also offers them a place to send their Jews. It's real back-handed support.

re: #329 Jimmah

That's the point that Spencer continually tries to obscure with his complaints about unfair "guilt by association". The fact is that his association with these people has given them, at least in some peoples minds - ie his loyal 'anti-jihadist' minions, in whose eyes he can do no wrong - a veneer of respectability they would otherwise not have. That's the damage he and Shrieks have done.

I guarantee they're going to start screaming "guilt by association" over this post again, and try to deny that "Pro Koln" has any connections at all to neo-Nazis.

Christian Worch:

In 1974 Worch started a militant group called the Hansabande in Hamburg, along with Michael Kühnen. The group defaced Jewish cemeteries, assaulted leftists and foreigners[1], and denied the Holocaust. Worch took part in one especially well-known campaign under the motto "I am an ass to believe that Jews were gassed in Germany" (Ich Esel glaube, daß in Deutschland Juden vergast worden sind). The group gradually became the Aktionsfront Nationaler Sozialisten (ANS, Action Front of National Socialists) in 1977. Worch and Kühnen were also close to the now-banned Wiking-Jugend (Viking Youth).

I think you're on the right track; I imagine he suffers from such insecurities, such crushing self-doubt and shame, that identifying with these Nazis is a step UP for him. That is, his soul is so rotten and malformed that these images are a source of inspiration and the target of aspiration.

With you, it was the fountain pen, instrument of a refined and elegant writing style and technique, from a classical time, used by those who were better educated, better cultured, than you were then, but whom you wished to emulate in some small way. For him, it's the shiny leather(ette) trench coat and the black uniforms; these people he emulates and apes are better than he is, which tells me his soul is low, his spirit rotten, his mind warped, and, worst of all for him, he knows himself to be a wretched and powerless worm.

Rouhs and Beisicht are trying to deny their Nazi-past, but - besides from hostilities from the militant Nazi-scene - at least in the case of Beisicht, there are still contacts: in 2007, he met with other European rightwing-extremists and Nazis, among them NPD-leader Udo Voigt. You know that there is a sway of people who still deny that the Nazis fled to places such as Argentina and Egypt. And yet .. when people are found to be living in these countries .. its always 'just a coincidence'

It would be comedy if it wasnt playing with peoples' lives.

IMHO, she is so full of herself, and such an attention whore, that she would go there, knowing full well that she is happily consorting with neo-nazis...her alleged love for Israel is, IMHO, as dishonest as she is.

It is 2 days after Holocaust Remembrance Day, only 2 days. Remember how she tried to wriggle out of her comment that 'all Jews in Europe did whatever they had to do, and acted just like all the Europeans...dirty business with money, etc.'....I wish I had saved that specific comment the night she spit on Charles. When we went after her for what she said? She then started her crocodile tears over her family members HY"D, who were lost in the camps and the ovens...to use these martyrs like that?!?!?

As a Jew, I was in shock, but so angry that I can't even remember what I posted to her.

How does anyone justify going to see, and join in with, the current generation that are descendants of the very nazis that killed our families with such glee, right after Holocaust Remembrance Day, how can they? I am still both sad and feel so sick over those who were in my grandparents' ZT"L families who we lost.

I will bet she made mention of it on her hate site..I do not go there unless someone asks me to look at something she said.

And all these trips, when she is a single mother who has 4 daughters still home? I don't think that the oldest is university age yet.

As I have said before, I feel so badly for them. She uses them as adornments.

I do not know how she can look in the mirror, but at the same time have a feeling that she does that every 3 seconds.

NEW FRONT FOR THE GERMAN FAR RIGHT

Anti-Islamic Party Is Playing With Fear
By Andrea Brandt and Guido Kleinhubbert

Right-wing radicals in Cologne are gaining traction with Germany's first anti-Islamic party. The German domestic intelligence agency is alarmed -- but so are traditional neo-Nazis, who may have to shift their tactics to compete.

The four young men look unremarkable in Cologne's downtown pedestrian zone. Now and then they press a pamphlet into somebody's hand with a smile. They seem as harmless as volunteers gathering donations for, say, starving children in Africa; but their project belongs to a political movement that is being viewed with alarm by intelligence officers in the state of North-Rhine Westphalia.

From a photo caption:

Not just about the mosque: The "Pro Köln" movement has roots in the German far right.

Don't think so! The human reaction to any given stressful situation is always, to me, fascinating. It seems that the instant response to the attacking planes was irrational outrage. It was not just my Mom, all the women at enlisted base housing found themselves pissed to the max, no weapons, so they were throwing rocks and whatever until a neighbor woman brought out the sack of potatoes! My mom said they were so low she looked square into the eyes of one of the pilots. When she told me story she was still pissed!

I guarantee they're going to start screaming "guilt by association" over this post again, and try to deny that "Pro Koln" has any connections at all to neo-Nazis.

They need to stop saying that "guilt by association" rationalization. It is a legal concept, and sure enough, they can't be legally hassled for hanging around these people. But this is a question of integrity, not legality, and in that case, the appropriate phrase is, "You are known by the company you keep." Old fashioned concept these days, but it definitely applies here.

There is an example in the rabbinical texts given of the evils of Esau. He would be trying to make himself sound important by worry about the 'evenness' of the levels of tithe (charity) instead of worrying about the giving of the tithe.

Evil tends to dwell on the little bits that they feel can allow an avenue for their views to be implemented and the norms to be discarded.

Church blessings and promises for more high-caliber anti-Islamisierungskongreß
Anti-Islam Congress 2009 - Announcements
Thursday 23 April 2009
Wilders-confidante Pamela Geller at press conference on anti-Islamisierungskongreß in Cologne!

The Wilders-confidante and journalist Pamela Geller of New York and the famous islam critical journalists and Internet bloggers Paul Belien from Flanders and Lars Hedegaard in Denmark have their coming to the 2009 Anti-Islamisierungskongreß promised. In addition to the keynote speakers from the Vlaams Belang, the FPÖ, the pro-motion, the German Bundestag deputies Henry Nitzsche, French, Italian and Czech politicians as well as delegations from Spain, Norway and Switzerland, there are now three more firm commitments of prominent individuals from America, Denmark and Flanders.

Above all, the well-known New York journalist and critics of Islam, Pamela Geller, as a close confidante of the Dutch right-wing populist Geert Wilders in America functions. Already last year there were many American newspapers and television stations, including CNN, the anti-Islamisierungskongreß attention and there was a lively political debate in the scandalous overseas operations in Cologne. In addition, we clearly demonstrate that patriotism and criticism of Islam, nothing to do with racism or even anti-Semitism have to do. This is also our impressive speakers and participants list! "

Where is your hometown in Germany? I lived in Wiesbaden and Bitburg. Is it the same all over? Has it gotten worse since reunification (I lived there before that)?

I live in former Eastern Germany, where agitation against the West has been part of the government ideology. I think before reunification (I was still a child back then), anti-americanism and open anti-zionism was not so present in West-Germany, because they needed the USA and NATO to protect them from UdSSR.
Now, as Germany with its wealthy economy is becoming more and more the important player in the EU, they distance more and more from the USA. Chancellor Schröder's "No war!" 2003 was definitely meant as an affront to America. It's a little bit better with Merkel now (and because of Obama, who is cheered as the "Anti-Bush"), but the atmosphere among the people is still not friendly towards the USA (though, not as hostile as it was in 2003. I had really fun with my fellow students at the university when wearing a US-Flag-patch and spreading stickers supporting President Bush before the elections 2004).
Recently, it wasn't very popular to show support for Israel's Operation Cast Lead, though, some people gathered at small demonstrations (here you can see pics of one in Berlin, where I also participated), that often emerged in brawls with counter-protestors (while trying to counter-protest the huge pro-Palestinan-demonstrations was hazardous).

Well here it is: My dad was flying in one of the very few remaining B-17's when the Philippines fell. Everyone knows that MacArthur was evacuated with his family by submarine. What is not known is that Plan A was to fly out. When they arrived at the airfield MacArthur refused to board my dad's plane. He declared it unfit to fly. Think about that. This plane was one of a very few survivors and they were damn proud to still be taking the fight to the enemy. Did I tell you my dad was not only a waist gunner but also flight mechanic (engineer)? The American bloggers think hooking up with european "counter-jihadis" makes them more credible American counter-jihadis, but in reality their friends in europe are nazis, and back home they're just useful idiots trying to put the genie back in the bottle, oblivious to the fact it's just too late.

The result of this approval from these American bloggers is that they are effectively assisting in the "mainstreaming" of the European Nationalist parties on this side of the Atlantic. One could say they are also a conduit between their own readership and the neo-Nazi factions within the United States. Hence admiration they garner at the VNN and Stormfront.

Needless to say the more portly American blogger in question has posted a feeble argument at his website 34 minutes ago.

Gus 802 -

If a "Euro-Nationalist" Party is the 1970's-90's British Tories, I have no problem. As to some of the others - not so much - AND - I understand some of their popularity as most "Mainstream" Parties are unwilling, if not unable, to assert mainstream/modernist Western Ideas against their "Adopted" Islamic Communities.
Best story I have heard lately regarding this is from the UK. Their Gay Lobby got a "boy meets boy" book approved as part of the general curriculum. Objections were raised, BY MUSLIMS, needless to say, THE MUSLIMS WON! as they are not "Quite White" and if one crosses them, one entertains physical harm.
That is all.

592 Areopagitica  Thu, Apr 23, 2009 7:52:07pm

Wow, its really sad to see what used to be a real front against radical Islam/jihadism disintegrate before our eyes. Charles, you and Robert Spencer have been at the forefront of trying to expose these radicals and terrorists for what they really are: insane nut-jobs who have figured out how to use the MSM, the democratic party and our democratic system and civil liberties to advance a totalitarian, draconian system of religious laws upon the world while crying that they are the victims.

It saddens me to have seen this rift, but Charles I have to give you a heck of a lot of credit for really probing VB and the other Euro-fascist groups as the frauds and charlatans that they are. Your efforts to not toe the line and ask legitimate probing questions, political party or issue be damned, is a credit to you and this blog and is what makes coming here all the more informative.

The effort to fight hatred and intolerance oozing from the Muslim world is only being undermined by those who seek the support of other intolerant hate groups. Aligning with these hate groups only plays into the hands of the Islamists, (who were allied with Nazis some 65 years ago), and gives them ammunition to say that those of us who oppose their evil ways are "islamophobes" and "racists" or as the Iranian delegates from Durban II called Elie Wiesel "zionazi." I guess my question to Charles and fellow Euro Lizards is do the VB and their ilk in other countries carry a huge following or are they very marginalized? Are they taken even remotely seriously? Are their other groups and political parties who are wholly legitimate who see the evils of efforts to islamicize Europe under sharia law?

Charles, keep up the good fight against VB, AS and Pamela who is being led down the dark path, Pat Buchanan and his WW II wasn't Hitler's fault crap, creationism, intelligent design and those who seek to impose their extremist ways upon us all.

OT: Apparently David Gregory is interviewing King Hussein II of Jordan on MTP on Sunday. If Gregory has his blog up and running asking viewers to come up with questions, I hope all you lizards flood his in-box requesting that he ask the King why do we continue to hear about the horrid Israeli occupation when from 1948 to 1967 Egypt and Jordan occupied the west bank and Gaza? What makes the Israelis any more good or bad than the Egyptians or Jordanians? Is it the fact they are Jews and not Muslims? Bingo! And also why to schools in Jordan continue to put out student materials which say that Jews and Christians are apes and pigs? Some reform.

You know what I have discovered since the new millennium started. People can rationalize anything. Maybe it has something to do with Clinton/Lewinsky.
But the Holocaust, or anything that happens that is horrible can be rationalized.

I have even heard Edwards backers say he was a target of a sting, and who could blame him for cheating on his sick wife-a man has needs!

Go get them Charles. I hate Nazi's. Radical Muslims remind me of Nazi's. Far Right Wing Conservative Christian wing nuts remind me of Mussolini.

My left wing Jewish friends do not appreciate what you are doing. They see Israel as no different from the Palestinians, and think both sides are bad. Keep it up anyway. When Iran tries to bomb Israel, or if the Taliban get control of Pakistan and a nuclear bomb explodes somewhere-maybe they will get the message.

Nice Hitler Youth haircut on that guy.

Oh, and the big banner behind him? "Europa erwache!" - Europe, Awake! - is the EU version of "Deutschland erwache!", one of the most famous of the paleo-Nazi slogans. It was used, among other things, to warn against the Jewish worm in the German apple.

They were wrong then, but they're right now, eh, Pamela? Now that the target is another minority that prays in a funny language and wears odd clothes.

Another great slogan of the bad old days was "Deutsche! Wehrt Euch! Kauft nicht bei Juden!" (Germans! Defend yourselves! Don't buy from Jews!) Will Pamela be supporting a similar campaign against halal shops and rug dealers?

She's a disgrace to Judaism.

Interview with filip dewinter:

DEWINTER: There's a big difference. We play at home. On our own field.

[Interviewer]- Whoever is born as a Moroccan Belgian also plays at home.

DEWINTER: That foreigner doesn't play at home. That foreigner is a guest here, should act like a guest. There are many guests who stay longer, but they are still guests. They must understand..

[Interviewer]- Whoever is born here is not a guest. That is their land just as well as it's yours

DEWINTER: I always think that a cat born in a fish shop is not a fish just because of that - to express it plastically. It takes maybe a few generation before people are completely assimilated. But that is the intention in the end: Be a Fleming among Flemish. But than we should also make an effort on our side to make it clear to them . And we don't do that

Charming.

601 Ilan Toren  Thu, Apr 23, 2009 9:37:10pm

There are people you can work with while not agreeing with 100%, but it is a problematic slippery slope if you don't know what your values are. We have this argument in Israel in regards to Evangelical Christians ( and perhaps the US Republicans have a similar problem ) . Then there are people who are just crazy and use issues to 'gain legitimacy' and I'd put ANSWER and the nativist far right in Europe in that category.

Oh NO, the same old "you know nothing about Europe" used to justify having an ally with Eurofascists?! No actually, we know what is has always been in Europe: Do a huge mistake and get into a problem (letting in thousands of extremists), then do graver mistakes to solve the first one.
Also we know about Europe that they stood and watched as 6 million Jews and many others disappeared. Actually it's what happened in Europe that it making us feel worried about such allies.
Why don't you explain to us what is it like in Europe?

I guess my question to Charles and fellow Euro Lizards is do the VB and their ilk in other countries carry a huge following or are they very marginalized? Are they taken even remotely seriously?

In the UK, the BNP is likely to pick up votes from Labour/Liberal/Conservative in the June 4 elections to the European Parliament. There is a lot of disillusion with the main UK political parties, caused partly by the economic slump but also by widespread discontent with the Labour government's immigration policies. While at present it would not be correct to say that the BNP carries a large following, the situation may be different after the June 4 elections. The possibility of the BNP gaining votes in the North West of England, where Muslim immigration is a major social issue, is worrying the UK government and also some church leaders. See, for example

Yes, and this banner belongs to the "Kampfbund Deutscher Sozialisten", a really obscure german Nazi-sect (see my post about Reitz).

re: #592 Areopagitica
In other European countries, fascist and rightwing-extremist-parties like BNP, VB, FPÖ or FN have occasionally considerable success, unlike real Neo-Nazis groups, who are marginalized (though, there are intersections between those milieus). In Germany, it's a different situation: rightwing-extremists like pro-Köln are marginalized (according to their own page, they don't have more than 500 members, I guess even that number is far too high), compared to real Nazi-parties like NPD, which has factions in two German regional parliaments and several representatives in local parliaments, around 7,000 members and support by some thousands of independent Nazi-groups.
