Sunday morning
sun shining on your eyes
sleepy face
smiling into mine
Sunday morning
lots of time with nothing to do
that’s the time to spend with you
on Sunday morning.
It’s so quiet in the street
we can hear the sound of feet walking by.
I’ll put coffee on to brew
we can have a cup or two
and do what other people do
on Sunday morning.
Sunday morning Sunday morning Sunday Sunday I love Sunday Sunday morning
Come hold me in your arms
I love you.
Everything is alright
Sunday morning

Heh. You think you've got it bad? Well I'll have you know that when I was a kid, not only did we not have a riding mower, we didn't even have a push mower. I had to get down on my hands and knees and cut the grass with scissors. And we couldn't even afford full size scissors. I had to do it with manicure scissors!
Everybody is so spoiled nowadays...

Tangled webs!
And CAIR didn't let it slide either:
But a September 19, 2008, article in Britain's Independent newspaper about a similar Pro Koln conference said, "Pro Cologne [Pro Koln] claimed on its website that...guest speakers would include the French National Front leader, Jean-Marie Le Pen, and Heinz-Christan Strache, the leader of Austria's right-wing Freedom Party...Pro Cologne said the Flemish far-right leader Filip Dewinter...would address the conference today. Mario Borghezio, of Italy's Northern League, was also scheduled to attend."
I hate to say that CAIR is correct about anything- but these are facts.

Iraq says US raid 'a crime,' violated security pact
BASRA, Iraq, April 26 (Reuters) - Iraq viewed a U.S. military raid that killed two people as a crime that violated a bilateral security pact and demanded on Sunday that U.S. forces hand those responsible to the courts, an Iraqi official said.
The condemnation of the raid by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's government came after hundreds of Iraqis protested in the southern city of Kut against U.S. forces and the provincial governor condemned the military operation.
The U.S. military said it targeted "special group" fighters, its term for elite Shi'ite militiamen the United States says are funded and armed by Iran, in a raid early on Sunday on a house in Kut, 150 km (95 miles) southeast of Baghdad.
BHO should tell them to f*ck off.

Some rare good news...
How a 5% drop in GDP can look good
The U.S. economy likely contracted sharply again in the first three months of 2009, but the details of the report on gross domestic product should indicate that the economy is beginning to heal.
After falling at a 6.3% annualized pace in the fourth quarter, a 5.1% decline for first-quarter GDP was the median forecast of economists surveyed by MarketWatch. If they are right, it would be the worst two-quarter decline in more than 50 years.
But before you throw yourself off the ledge, however, take a closer look. Hidden in that horrendous decline are signs of improvement after more than a year of recession.
"Despite the massive contraction in the economy, the expected composition of first-quarter GDP should show encouraging signs," wrote economists for Credit Suisse. Much of the decline in growth should come from a massive reduction in inventories, which is bad news for the first-quarter growth numbers, but a big positive for the future because it means companies are making the necessary adjustments.

When I was a kid (no pun intended), my dad had some of my little cousins convinced that he did not actually mow the lawn, but rather kept a flock of goats in the basement, and let them out at night to graze. When one of the bolder cousins one day demanded to go down to the basement to see them, my dad casually replied that they were away doing their military service, in the U.S. Goats Guard.

Vermont Sen. Hard to believe we share Father Abraham as a religious ancestor with these beasts.
Abraham's one is an interesting story. Abraham meaning "father of many nations", it's often used by Christians to state that the whole world will one day by Christian, by Jews to state that the whole world will one day by Jewish and by Muslims to state that the whole world will one day by Muslim.
Quick – grab your time machine, go back in time, and ask Abraham himself what is meant by his story. Ask him if he's the father of the Christians, Jews or Muslims. He'll give you a blank stare, because at the time his story took place, none of these religions existed.
What really made Abraham so different in the Bible that God took notice of him? Almost everyone before Abraham in the Bible is a nomad, people who wandered, set up temporary homes, and then moved on as the seasons changed, in order to find better food and shelter.
Abraham himself, though, was one of the first farmers. He built a permanent home, he worked to grow food and, because of this strange new lifestyle, he was also one of the first property owners.
For nomads, who have to live off the land, it's not a problem to give thanks to God for providing for them. But here's Abraham, who stays in one place and feeds himself through his own effort and his own property. Would such a man still be humble before God? Or would he just focus on himself? One way to find out! "Hey, Abram, you know your kid Isaac? Well . . ."

Protocols of the Daily Kos (from the "recommended list")...
"Do Not Shoot, There are Children Here!" Last words of a good man.
The Israeli authorities are now calling the shooting "due to unauthorized fire". There was just too much evidence to continue to make claims of a "riot" (the original claim by the Israeli authorities and reported in the Jewish Telegraph Agency news story, since retracted). There was no valid reason for the shooting. There may be an isolated arrest of an Israeli soldier (at most) in this case, but make no mistake, this was no isolated incident. Many other Palestinians have been killed in similar incidents. It is hard to believe that the shooting was "unauthorized", except if they are not authorized to use such force when someone is making a good video of the incident.
...
Bassem was one of many Palestinian Gandhi's, and he has been buried.
...
That the Palestinian struggle for freedom is a struggle for all of us, that while any are oppressed we are all oppressed. To turn their backs on this struggle is to betray "our own people", that is, our humanity. This has been the message of the prophets and Jesus and echoed by Americans like Eugene Debs and Martin Luther King...
Watch the video they are clearly using children as human shields to approach the fence. For more background on what was going on that day...
IDF: Protester's death likely due to unauthorized fire
Meanwhile, a Palestinian man drove his Mercedes into two Israeli policemen checking motorists at a checkpoint outside Jerusalem Saturday, police said.
...
The Bil'in shooting occurred during a protest during which around 100 demonstrators hurled stones at soldiers and tried to destroy the fence, army sources said.
...
The IDF said Saturday that troops opened fire to disperse a violent, three-hour protest that was taking place in a closed military zone.On Friday night, troops shot and killed a 16-year-old Palestinian after he threw firebombs at the gate of a Jewish settlement in the West Bank, officials said Saturday. The army said soldiers had fired warning shots before opening fire on a group of Palestinians hurling firebombs at the settlement of Beit El. A 19-year-old from the Jalazoun refugee camp was also wounded in the leg, Palestinian officials said.
The weekend's attacks were the latest in a series of violent incidents in the West Bank. A Palestinian man wielding a knife was shot and killed Friday by Jewish settlers after he entered their West Bank community of Beit Haggai, the IDF said.

Pro-koln has a video on youtube (I will not link it here) where they portray themselves as victims of "left-wing fascists" trying to stop their free speech and free association rights. They go on to use "anti-fascist" as some sort of smear.
Interesting. Do the anti-fascists also have rights? To protest political groups they find odious?
Pro-koln's film goes on to say the police allowed this undermining of their rights. Do they have proof of this, or is it just a conspiracy against them? They then go on to deflect attention away from themselves by discussing islam.
Such standard techniques, and yet some people buy into this shit when it emanates from "our" side.

Also, the story of Abraham and Isaac symbolizes the beginning of the end of human sacrifice as worship. For Christians, Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross ended it once and for all. Few people are aware of how widespread ritual murder was until the Jews gave it up, and became an example to the nations.

Kos kidz Komment...
This makes me sooo angry...the Israeli soldier bastards... they're bullies, they're murderers and they pretend to be humans.
They're not.
If I had any kind of power to shut them off from US dollars, I'd do it in 2 seconds.
I hope more and more of this comes out. Get these images to Hillary. I know she will try to do something... but what?
Israel owns us because they use cash money and the sentimentality from the death camps to make us sorry. If they had learned anything from that experience, I certainly don't see it.
Since this is beyond my ability to change, I'll just say: screw Israel and their death soldiers.
Viva Palestine. I'm sorry for your suffering.

Jim and Jenny, you have won a 10 day all expenses paid vacation to the Camino Real, just a 10 minute drive from the Mexico City airport. There you'll get to meet and greet thousands of friendly residents. You'll be able to drink right from the hotel water system, eat great foods cooked after being improperly refrigerated, and best of all get immunized naturally.
Is that too harsh?

Police: motel mom turned tricks; boy, 7, watched
BENSALEM, Pa. — A suburban Philadelphia woman is accused of selling sex in a motel room while her 7-year-old son sometimes watched.
Thirty-six-year-old Catherine Thomas was held on $20,000 bail Monday on charges of prostitution, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment.
Bensalem Public Safety Director Fred Harran says Thomas and her son had lived at the motel near Neshaminy Mall for about three months, and the room was filled with garbage, dirty underwear and food.
Harran says Thomas put her son in a filthy shower stall to play with toys while she entertained men. The boy told him "he would have to ask God for forgiveness for what he saw his mother did."
The boy was turned over to Bucks County Family Services.
OMG!

Heard a story about Sarah Palin. Not getting any media attention.
Obama chose someone from the Alaska State Senate to serve in his administration. Palin, as guv appoints the successor from a list put forward to her by the Alaska legislature. They are supposed to submit 3 names. They only submitted one.
So, instead of buckling, she told them to submit 3-or she was leaving the seat vacant. Finally they buckled, submitted 3, and she filled the spot. She appointed a Democrat by the way; since the legislature is controlled by the Dems and those were the only candidates submitted.
there are some things about Palin that I absolutely love-and her toughness is one of them.
