Our town used to be Navy, guarded by the Marines. It's Army now and very different but we'll probably get a humvee and a few other things. Lots of training goes on there. Maybe we'll get the SEALS this year. They skydive in.

Fortunately, even McCarthy's monumental stupidity wouldn't quite be able to accomplish that feat without some serious government malfeasance. Smallpox is the first - and only - disease to be truly eradicated from the planet. It has no hosts other than humans, and there is none of the virus circulating in the world's population, thanks to a decades-long effort led by WHO that successfully ended in 1980. The only repositories of the virus are in military biological labs in the US and in Russia that are kept for research purposes. In this one instance, I have lobbied hard for their destruction over the years, especially now that they can be completely genetically sequenced and any value they may have in understanding future illnesses can thus be gleaned from them in their absence. But barring a release from these labs, no amount of blithering idiocy on McCarthy's part will lead to a resurgence in this particular disease.

It might lead to a complete inability to contain a future release, accidental or otherwise, as significant segments of the population decide that vaccination against this scourge are more dangerous than the death and maiming it brings to it's victims.

The “Sharing” in a MARRIAGE...

The old man placed order for one hamburger, French fries and a drink.

I disagree When I call Pam a Silicone slut it's due to her extensive plastic surgury and the way her behavior in public caused caused my perception of her to go. Carrie's insulters however are just making personal attacks on her without merit because they disagree with her opinion.
