‘Pro-Koln’ Fascist Update - Day Three

World • Views: 3,487

The gathering of extreme right wing Eurofascist groups (including representatives from Belgium’s Vlaams Belang and France’s Front National) billing itself as the “Pro-Köln Anti-Islamization Congress” wrapped up their event today, with another miserable failure.

They promised thousands of supporters would show up, but on the last day the total was about … 200 fascist sympathizers, from Austria, Belgium, France, Spain, Czech Republic, and Germany, with at least 4,000 counter-protesters.

These are the people the so-called “anti-jihad” bloggers say we must make alliances with, in order to save Western civilization: 200 pathetic losers, renounced by every decent person in Köln.

If the fools who believe Pro-Köln and Vlaams Belang and the other Eurofascist groups are “pro-Israel” had their way, the anti-Zionists who smear Israel as a “fascist” state would have had a propaganda windfall — “see! Zionism really is the same as Nazism!” And they would have had photos of Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer sharing a stage with Filip DeWinter and the other fascists to prove it.

Meanwhile, five days after Bruce Bawer posted his denunciation of the “anti-jihadists” who are jumping into bed with fascists, still not a word about it on Jihad Watch, Atlas Shrugs, or Gates of Vienna. Nothing but craven silence from that bunch, as they hope to make it disappear by ignoring it.

American Renaissance again, lovely. I wonder if YAF are going to rethink some of their assumptions, in view of the directions where their Michigan chapter have been taking them...

It's so true... the anti-Zionists could legitimately say Zionism is neo-Nazism if we ally ourselves with the likes of Vlaams Belang.

It is really sad that the most vocal and active people against the cultural overthrow of Europe are nazis and unapologetic racists. You can love your culture and history without hating people and getting all personal. The ideology of Islam is bad. The ideology of nazism is bad. Replacing bad with bad doesn't add up to something good.

Since St. Edward, King of England died in 979 the English throne has generally gone down hill. There have been a few brief highlights every 500 years or so, but generally the English royalty has been forgettable. Collecting charity and cutting ribbons is nice and commendable, but it will not rally a nation to greatness.

Crazy Pam put up a thread about the demonstration this morning. I googled the speakers and thier parties. Many were affiliated in some way with Le Penn's FN.
I also found a program for the conference in French. It looked like many of the speeches were anti-American with titles such as "Uncle Sam is in a coma". GoV put up a thread addressing the antiAmerican tone at the conference, defending it as understandable resentment.

Since Morrissey is dissing Cromwell and the current dynasty, and touting his Irishness, he's almost certainly a partisan of James II and the Jacobites. I'd not understood that part of the song until you mentioned it.

(I'm sympathetic to royalism myself, but the Stuarts - whose rightful property the Crown is - also had the misfortune to be the biggest duds in British dynastic history. They weren't much good even as Kings of Scotland.)

The part I did understand at the time I posted, was the bit about wanting to be publicly patriotic without people calling him a racist for it.

James I of England was about the only Stewart that had a head on his shoulders. Certainly, his son Charles 1 didn't by the time it was over. Charles 2 was somebody who could care less. He just didn't want to go the way of his dad. James 2 was somebody who did not understand his nation and his ability as a naval commander wasn't much to speak of either. Mary wasn't around for long and Anne was a bit of a simpleton. All of the above said, they were a tad better than the Hanovers that followed them. Pwince (Up)Chuck is one of the most major morons I have ever seen.

I am no anti-monarchist. History has shown that a good king can lead his country to continued greatness for hundreds of years without basing that greatness on conquering and enslaving his neighbors, but upon the virtue and personal achievement of his subjects. Unfortunately, royalty that heroically exemplifies greatness is a very rare and fragile thing. A monarch is the fastest way to greatness for a country. He is, however, also the fastest way to drowning the country in a cesspool. Most monarchs seem more inclined to cesspools than greatness, unfortunately. I prefer a constitutional democracy if for no other reason than its checks and balances keep the wild extremes of monarchs at bay.

Great exposé of the pathetic turnout by Pro-Köln.

It seems obvious that the ongoing attraction of such groups in Europe is due to the absence of a normative rightist/conservative movement. Once mainstream political rightism is outlawed (de jure or de facto) the rightly-inclined have nowhere to go but lunatic land.

But alot of that is due to the particularly foul history of Europe. European nations have already tried national self-defense / nationalism and it resulted in centuries of internecine bloodshed, antisemitic insanity and the Holocaust. If bloodshed and insanity resurge in today's Europe the native Europeans can at least console themselves with the knowledge that they're the ones perishing instead of another generation of victims of their kind and lovely civilization.

Europe has never proven itself sustainable or even morally justified. The continent has no strategic answer to the question of why it must exist.

Col. Ralph Peters's view is that Europe is unalterably cruel and that US Marines will eventually be sent to evacuate fleeing European Muslims from their native European attackers. I suspect he is right -- whether its the Muslims or the natives, one of the two groups will have to go down and out.

The KJV as an effort to get everybody under the same roof. The Geneva version with its side notes was more popular than the Bishop's Bible of Elizabeth. Of course, both were done in response to the Greate Bible and the Mathew's Bible. The Greate was a quasi-reprint of Coverdale's version of Tyndall as was the several versions of the Mathew's. There was more politics than theology involved with the KJV.

Freedom 14 Continues to Rally Whites in So Cal

On Saturday, May 09, 2009, at the Huntington Beach pier in Orange County, California, about 20 WN's (White Nationalists - ed)rallied to show their fellow countrymen that they will never surrender in the fight for sovereignty for our people and nation.

The Huntington Beach pier, just off the famous Pacific Coast Highway, sees tens of thousands passersby each day and serves as a great way to reach thousands of our people in a very short amount of time. While most are simply driving by, thousands pass by on foot to head to the beach, and they have, consequently, a great deal of time to get acquainted with the group's message.

The brave men and women of Freedom 14, an organization whose mission is to show our people that we still care, rallied for around 2 hours, to a warm response by many local Whites. The group noted a striking willingness on the behalf of young Whites to ask for fliers, which is a demonstration of public support.

If you look at the pics I have a hard time spotting anything racist. This is the "transitional approach" I've seen them discussing to attract people into their group.

BNP activist was linked to South Africa murder

A far-right activist linked to the murder of Chris Hani, a prominent ANC activist, is just one of a number of white South Africans who are helping the British National Party as it gears up for the European elections.

Arthur Kemp was arrested in connection with the 1993 murder of Hani – one of the most popular black politicians in South Africa – which was intended to derail the country's transition to democracy. Although questioned, he was released without charge and came to the UK in 1996.

Now the editor of the BNP's website and the author of white supremacist books, including the March of the Titans: A History of the White Race, and The Lie of Apartheid, which includes an essay on the Hani murder, he was spotted in the BNP's election headquarters in Wales preparing thousands of campaign leaflets.

According to the anti-racism magazine Searchlight, however, the largest traffic to the BNP's website comes from South Africa and it claims the party is targeting wealthy white South Africans for donations. "Many of them may be friends and relations of the growing number of South African BNP members, of whom Arthur Kemp, editor of the BNP website and in charge of the ideological training of the party's 250 or so elite activists, is the most prominent," Searchlight's website says.

A spokesman for the BNP said that Mr Kemp was a "valued member" of the party, but did not have a specific role in the election campaign. Yesterday, a spokesman for Searchlight said that Mr Kemp's involvement with the party meant that its attempt to present an acceptable public face and to move away from its controversial previous history of links to violent extremists was "unravelling"

The BNP Website say they are rapidly growing, singing up about 200 new members every week.

Col. Ralph Peters is excitable and simplistic from what I have read from him. He gets things wrong from time to time; Wikipedia points out that he opposed the Surge, for instance.

The model you are flagging for Europe is the Roman Empire model; which is what you see from the White Nationalists and their allies among the Serbs and Russians. That model attracts thugs, and when thugs get too powerful they always inspire rival groups to band together to cut them down. Good examples would be Louis XIV, Napoleon, Hitler, and every Orthodox Christian state since Justinian's. The Soviets, too.

But classically, Europe also had the Roman Church model, which is independent states in a peaceful rivalry under a shared set of (non-ethnic) values.

I am not saying that Europe would be better off if everyone was forced at swordpoint to pray a rosary. Any model of shared values which could attract the spirits of men would qualify. Europeans just need to find one that doesn't involve a lot of killing.

Spencer and Geller, the so called anti-Jihadists that have no effect on Jihad other than instilling greater fear into their already paranoid audience. They have no voice in the Muslim community nor any effect within said community including within the US government other than perhaps piquing the interest of HSA.

Frustrated, they have chosen to attack the messenger that announce these fascist alliances and have now branched out to an even more insignificant group of third rate bloggers or what can be seen as their very own brown shirts. A motley crew of malcontents, sociopaths, and anti-social loners whose contribution to society could be summed up as just a waste of bandwidth.

Well Lizards, having fumbled far too may "footballs" for one day, I'm checking out for a while to spend some tome with the little lady.

Perhaps I check back in later......

Crap...I live close to the border and have a fridge full of Tecate and a few Miller Lites.

Based on contractor's stories, the Tecate will harass the Miller Lites into quitting, then they will bring in their cousins to fill up your refrigerator.
The crisper is next!

I started with a six pack...the Tecate is fruitful and multiplying.

Waiting for the 2010 Tecate census.

Which aren't that many. But they were also renounced by many other thugs, who aren't any better.

By the way: it seems that pro-Köln has agitated once again against Romani and Sinti. So, what does anti-Ziganism has to do with countering jihad?

188 Ziggy Standard  Sun, May 10, 2009 5:29:47pm
These are the people the so-called “anti-jihad” bloggers say we must make alliances with, in order to save Western civilization: 200 pathetic losers, renounced by every decent person in Köln.

But I thought that only Americans etc who "didn't understand the nuances of European politics" considered these groups to be extremists? Seems to be a lot of Europeans who "don't understand the nuances of European politics" as well...:D

The people who say I "don't understand European politics" and therefore I'm mistaken about the fascist nature of the Vlaams Belang and the other groups are simply ... lying. They know very well that the vast majority of Europeans consider these groups to be fascist. They're trying to fool Americans into discounting what I write about them.

I don't claim to be an expert on European politics -- but I'm far from ignorant. If I add up all the musical tours I've done, I've probably spent several years in Europe, and I pay attention.

Yep. Also, it's particularly outrageous when Spencer's apologists try to fob us off with the "Mr Spencer may not have picked up on nuances that are apparent to Europeans" defence regarding his connections. The fact is the European political scene is one of Spencers central obsessions. He knows perfectly well that Vlaams Belang, Pro Koln and co are no better than the BNP, he just also happens to know that far fewer people outside Europe are aware of them. He's just trying to fly beneath most folks radar.

In every media outlet (in German) on the pro-Köln rally that I saw/read, these individuals were described as right-wing extremists. In every single one. It is simply untrue that people here consider pro-Köln to be mainstream, on the contrary.

Recently, Ralph Giordano, a holocaust survivor who is a journalist in Cologne, described pro-Köln as "contemporary Nazis". He is entirely correct. And he knows.

re: #121 BLBfootballs

Europe has never proven itself sustainable or even morally justified. The continent has no strategic answer to the question of why it must exist.

This is why it is of vital importance that fascists cannot corrupt its attempts to develop one:

Within the confines of Europe, the age-old laws of international relations have been repealed. Europeans have stepped out of the Hobbesian world of anarchy into the Kantian world of perpetual peace. European life during the more than five decades since the end of World War II has been shaped not by the brutal laws of power politics but by the unfolding of a geopolitical fantasy, a miracle of world-historical importance: The German lion has laid down with the French lamb. The conflict that ravaged Europe ever since the violent birth of Germany in the nineteenth century has been put to rest. ... This is what many Europeans believe they have to offer the world: not power, but the transcendence of power. ... The transmission of the European miracle to the rest of the world has become Europe’s new mission civilisatrice. Just as Americans have always believed that they had discovered the secret to human happiness and wished to export it to the rest of the world, so the Europeans have a new mission born of their own discovery of perpetual peace.

The seeds are there, under the muck.

Are these guys really fascist's? Or are they racist. nationalistic. etc. Historically fascism was a left wing movement.
I wish we wouldn't throw these word's around so carelessly.

196 maryatexitzero  Mon, May 11, 2009 7:57:46am

Are these guys really fascist's?

The Freedom Party of Austria (FPO) sent a large delegation to the Pro-Koln conference. They also sent a delegation to the conference in 2008. While the Pro-Koln movement has not attracted many followers in Europe, the FPO gained a surprisingly large percentage of the votes in Austria’s (Sept. 2008) national elections

Most of the FPÖ's leading proponents were former Nazis. The lower ranks of the party are mostly made up of members of German-nationalist student groups.

Another anti-immigrant party, the Alliance for Austria’s Future, led by Jörg Haider, got 11 percent of the 2008 vote. Together these parties won almost a third of the vote, giving them huge gains over the traditional leading parties, the center-left Social Democrats and the conservative Austrian People’s Party.

Jorg Haider developed the tactic of downplaying and denying his party's traditional hatred of Jews. He also actively sought Jewish allies to promote his interests. His political future looked bright until October 2008, when, on a dark and stormy night, he had a fight with his gay lover, had too much to drink and crashed his car on rainy mountain roads. His followers blamed the Jews for his death.

Jewish leaders in Vienna and Israel believe that the Austrian "anti-immigrant" paries like the FPO and the Alliance for Austria's future are a threat to Israel and to the safety of Jews living in Austria. I would believe them before I would believe anything the FPO or their allies say.

Are groups like Vlaams Belang influenced by Haider's successful tactic of downplaying and denying their biases and goals? They would deny it, but would real fascists - lie? Their actions, and their stated biases speak louder than their words.

197 Land Shark  Mon, May 11, 2009 8:28:00am

Hopefully this failure will open the eyes of the anti-jihadis who think aligning themselves with these Eurofascists is anything other than a disaster to the cause. They need to stop acting as apologists to those kooks and understand that unless they distance themselves from these groups people will not listen to what they have to say.

Hopefully, the paltry support they got at the conference and Bruce Bawer's spot-on coments will help them see the damage already done. I'm not holding my breath, though. If they couldn't see it back then when Charles, one of the most important and valuable allies they ever had first pointed out the white supremacist tendencies and associations of these groups, I'm not holding out much hope they will see the light now.

The BNP seems to be very popular with anti-jihadists...for good reason.

That's completely false. Historically, fascism was a right wing movement. The Third Reich Nazis began as a right wing party, coopted other right wing parties to gain national power, and made alliances with right wing parties. All of their enemies were left wing parties.

National Socialism is an extreme right wing ideology. Nearly every reputable historian agrees on this point.

I wish we wouldn't throw these word's around so carelessly.

Historically, fascists are racial supremacist purists, and communists are class distinction opponents. Totalitarian collectivities may be far right fascists using race as a justification, far left communists using class as a justification, or fundamentalist theocracies using religion as a justification. Classical Burkean conservatives have no more to do with right wing racial politics than classical Millian liberals have to do with leftist class warfare politics. But the racist fascists have to a certain degree infiltrated the conservative movement, just as the anticlassist communists have infiltrated the liberal movement. And just as the euroneonazis are attempting to infiltrate the antijihadist movement.

Conservatives should stop mistakenly self-identifying as right wingers, and have nothing to do with racist far right wingers such as the John Birchers, the KKK, the National Alliance, and Stormfront. Just like liberals should stop mistakenly self-identifying as left wingers, and have nothing to do with anticlassist far left wingers such as the Weathermen, World Won't Wait, and ANSWER. And just like antijihadists should stop identifying with blood and soil eurofascists such as the BNP, France's National Front and the Vlaams Belang.
