Nirthers Fleecing the Flock

Moonbats • Views: 10,387

World Net Daily is now embarked on a campaign to fleece their gullible flock out of donations, so they can put up billboards asking, “Where’s the birth certificate?” For what purpose, nobody knows.

Birth certificate billboard mania continues.

Right-wing Trutherism comin’ atcha, courtesy of Weird Nut Drooly.

WASHINGTON – More than $25,000 has been raised in the first two days of a national billboard campaign to raise awareness of questions surrounding the constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as president – and the first sign, an electronic one, is already up and online.

Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, said he’s calling it “the truth and transparency campaign.”

The money is being used to erect billboards around the country that ask a simple question: “Where’s the birth certificate?”

The first such sign to be posted under the 2-day-old campaign, a digital, electronic one, is up and online on Highway 165 in Ball, La. – the result of a donation by the owner. In addition, based on the heavy volume of financial donations in the first two days of the campaign, WND was able to commit to leasing two more standard billboards – one in Los Angeles and the other in Pennsylvania. It will take several weeks to get those billboards up because of the vinyl printing and shipping involved.

I give up. Where can I turn now that the nominal 'conservative' party has jumped the shark? I used to howl and 'get my snark on' when the left became unhinged at everything GWB did. I now don't find it that funny that the right is doing it. Is there an Island for sale somewhere where us sane people could move. We are out of options.

Joe Farah and WND ARE a bit fringe. That notwithstanding, the entire "NIRTHER" Argument is technical at best. So far as I know, nobody as suggested that Pres. Obama's Mother is NOT his Mother.
I oppose the President about 80% of the time, what I know is this, were I opposing him 100% of the time, I should probably see a Psychiatrist, same as if I were supporting a US President 100%.

Farah and James H. Smith, the former publisher of the Union, co-founded the Western Journalism Center (WJC). In 1997 the WJC started WorldNetDaily, and in 1999 WND was spun off as a for-profit subsidiary. The greater part of WND is owned by Farah.[3]

Farah is a member of the Council for National Policy.[5]

Others are not so kind to the organization and its motives. Mark Crispin Miller states that the CNP is a "highly secretive... theocratic organization -- what they want is basically religious rule" (A Patriot Act). Barry W. Lynn, the executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, told the New York Times about the CNP meeting ahead of the 2004 Republican National Convention, "The real crux of this is that these are the genuine leaders of the Republican Party, but they certainly aren't going to be visible on television next week."

Good evening.

Look for the market to give up more gains in the next few weeks as it is becoming rather obvious that President Obama has declared war on several areas of commerce in our economy. For anybody who watched Jim Cramer tonight, he gave an amazingly coherent summary of this, for which I'm sure he will be savaged by the MSM.

The industries that Obama is working to ruin are:

1. banking
2. coal
3. steel
4. autos
5. health care

This has become ever so clear in the last few months, so look for a lot of investors to cash in some chips and stand back. Expect to see unemployment keep going up and stay high for the foreseeable future and for taxes to climb.

As I have mentioned before, Obama's budget assumed a 4% a year growth in GDP. Just think about what not making that growth rate will do to the deficit year after year after year.

From their own literature they seem to have a neo-Reaganite thing going on. I was uncomfortable with some of the language about "preserving traditional American heritage" just because it came too close to racist codewords. I don't think they're a racist organization though. Some of the religious stuff isn't my cup of tea but they seem more or less grounded in reality. Large contributions from Korea are interesting but I have no idea what to make of that.
If they are funding much of what is going on today (which I don't think they are) they're doing it wrong. Unless they see Ron Paul as the new Reagan their plan plan isn't working.

And, Democrats shouldn't be all that happy, since (according to the poll results) the Democrats "had a bigger erosion in independent voter support between December 2008 and April than the GOP." But the GOP also lost big time. Apparently, now there are more people identifying as Independents (36 percent) than those who identify with either the Democrats (35 percent) or Republicans (23 percent.)

re: #79 Killgore Trout

From their own literature they seem to have a neo-Reaganite thing going on. I was uncomfortable with some of the language about "preserving traditional American heritage" just because it came too close to racist codewords. I don't think they're a racist organization though. Some of the religious stuff isn't my cup of tea but they seem more or less grounded in reality. Large contributions from Korea are interesting but I have no idea what to make of that.
If they are funding much of what is going on today (which I don't think they are) they're doing it wrong. Unless they see Ron Paul as the new Reagan their plan plan isn't working.

They get money from Korea too?

The name sounds good: Coalition to Preserve American Sovereignty. However that's just a title and I'm sure that further scrutiny would reveal other interests and ideologies that go beyond their stated goals.

They seem to be focused on LOST (Law of the Sea Treaty). I am not very familiar with that but offhand I would say that would be a difficult task or questionable one considering our dependence on foreign flagged shipping and other related issues. In essence it deals with trade issues and not something that can be dealt with by a bunch of retired experts.

Rambling here and I ate too much pizza.

The founding fathers built special protections into the First Amendment for the free press. It is in that tradition that WND assumes this role – since nobody else in the press will do it."

Usually when the stock market craps out peoples money flows into the bond market. Do you see the bond market going on a run as people start to question the credit of the issuers of bonds? Could both bond and stock market slump at the same time?

I see money flowing into commodities, gold and bonds.

You have to bear in mind that there is now an absolutely massive debt to be financed, and the only way to do that is to jack up interest rates to attract the capital. I have my periodic review of my own investments with my broker last week and directed him to get ready to move a significant amount of my money into fixed income after inflation heats up. When interest rates jump up, there will be little reason to assume the market risk in the stocks if you can get a good yield in fixed income

Lou Dobbs tonight noted the results from the latest PEW Poll. the poll indicated a large increase in the number of Independents.

Porn star blows world record bid

PORN star Sexy Cora bit off more than she could chew when she tried to break the ORAL SEX world record for a new blue movie.

Blonde Cora — real name Carolin Berger — had aimed to service 200 punters in Hamburg, Germany.

But she was forced to call off the bid when she collapsed after reaching her 75th man and was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties.

The 21-year-old star is currently on police bail for filming sex scenes for another porno in a family park in broad daylight.

She is facing indecency charges after outraged families called cops.

Her semi-naked co-stars had to be rounded up by police as they fled including one who broke his wrist when he tripped over his trousers.

Here's the details on Cramers thoughts on Obamas hit list.

I misquoted him above on one of the industries, replace "autos" with "utilities".
Cramer: Sell Obama’s Corporate Enemies List

Obama is back at it again, Cramer said Thursday, and the market reacted accordingly, with the Dow losing 130 points and the S&P 500 slipping 15. The Mad Money host thinks that investors should take profits before the holiday weekend, as the president’s ire for certain businesses has gone from “rhetorical to actual.

So who’s on Obama’s corporate enemies list? Credit card companies, the coal industry, the steelmakers, the utilities and the drug companies, all of which he promised to take on during his election campaign. Cramer fully expects him to fulfill that promise, especially with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi onboard, and that’s bad news for all of the above-mentioned industries. Washington can do more damage than any competitor ever could.

If you own [these] stocks,” Cramer said, “you better be worried.”

This will particularly hit retirees, who's portfolio's usually hold a large amount of utilities and energy stocks for safety and dividends.

S&P cuts UK's rating outlook to negative

LONDON (Reuters) – Ratings agency Standard & Poor's lowered its outlook on Britain to negative on Thursday, citing government debt that would be hard to rein in and political uncertainty about the policy response with an election looming.
The agency affirmed Britain's 'AAA' long-term and 'A-1+' short-term sovereign credit ratings.
"We have revised the outlook on the UK to negative due to our view that, even assuming additional fiscal tightening, the net general government debt burden could approach 100 percent of GDP and remain near that level in the medium term," Standard & Poor's credit analyst David Beers said in a statement.

That's what we will be in a few more years of Obama.

Critiques

CMD has been criticized for having an anti-corporate viewpoint by industry lobbyists like Berman & Co., a public affairs firm owned by Rick Berman specializing in creating front groups for industry clients in the tobacco, food, biotechnology and other sectors. ActivistCash.com, an industry-funded website run by Berman & Co. and associated with Berman's Center for Consumer Freedom, has run such critiques. ActivistCash.com accuses CMD of operating "as do most self-anointed progressive watchdogs, from the presumption that any communication issued from a corporate headquarters must be viewed with a jaundiced eye." This website also opines, "If someone in a shirt and tie dares make a profit (especially if food or chemicals are involved), Rampton and Stauber are bound to have a problem with it. Unless, of course, that food is vegetarian, organic, certified fair-trade, shade-grown, biodynamic, or biotech-free, in which case, the sky's the limit!" My strategy is to read as widely as possible (to gather info from a large, varied range -- from both the "left", the "right, the independents, etc., etc.), and I've found that the more varied your sources on a topic, the more apt you are to be well-informed (and far, far less likely to be taken in by a peculiarly slanted/biased point of view). Hence it's not "This source is Biased!" but knowing/realizing how the source is slanted, then reading an opposing viewpoint...so as to eventually get a fairly balanced view...(btw, I read that Commentary article which was linked to today at Lgf -- about the Gitmo closure, etc. -- and tonight on CNN, of course, they also addressed the Gitmo closure -- and, surprise, surprise -- CNN was giving the activist, lawyer "human rights" spin/agenda on a number of points. re: #159 3 wood

Given enough time, Obama will have the entire country looking like California does today. People will eventually get that the Govenrment-as-Santa-Claus schtick gets expensive.

But in this case I think he's accurate, and he was also yelling about the coming financial melt down months before it happened.

If he is accurate, then we will revisit the lows of the market. In my opinion, in a skittish and fear laden market such as this one, if one sector starts heading for the sewer, panic will set in and more will follow. I'm betting the financial sector is going to give up all it's gains as credit card defaults accelerate. The house of cards is getting ready to collapse.

Massive asteroid bombardment may have helped life to THRIVE on Earth

A heavy bombardment by asteroids the size of Ireland actually helped life to THRIVE on Earth 3.9billion years ago, scientists have suggested.

Many experts had thought the violent pelting by massive asteroids during the period known as the Late Heavy Bombardment would have melted the Earth's crust and vaporized any life on the planet.

But new three-dimensional computer models developed by a team at the University of Colorado at Boulder shows much of Earth's crust, and the microbes living on it, could have survived and may have even flourished in the harsh conditions.

The findings push back the beginnings of life on Earth five million years.

Study author Oleg Abramov told the journal Nature: 'It opens up the possibility that life emerged as far back as 4.4 billion years ago, about the time the first oceans are thought to have formed.'

To study this period, Abramov and his colleague Stephen Mojzsis used data from moon rocks, meteorite samples and the dented surfaces of neighboring planets to develop a three-dimensional model of this period of bombardment.

If I hadn't read the Commentary article, I would probably have taken the CNN leftist spin at face value...)

That's the key to it really: a wide range of sources. CNN is typical of modern news in that it really become a modified editorial. Rather than reporting a story such as "a tornado touched down in Kansas today resulting in dozens of injuries and 2 deaths" it becomes "a tornado touched down in Kansas today resulting in dozens of injuries and 2 deaths -- deaths which could have been avoided had the Republican controlled legislature there hadn't cut funding for emergency services." I suppose that is a reflection of the activist movements from the 1960s in which everything boils down to "could it have been avoided?" and "who is behind the destruction?" sound bytes adopted by the press.

They apply this to everything. Accidents, policy, social issues, weather, science, education, sports, etc. A lot like the early days of John Stossel's reporting and more to the point consumer reporting. Consumer reporting has branched out into journalism at large. It's sometime called "investigative reporting."

I'm sure you're familiar with most of this anyway.

Putting a dog in a washing machine is not really harmful, well, most of it is not, it's the sudden stop at the end of the spin cycle that usually causes the injuries.

The steam pressing cant do them much good either.

re: #217 Dianna

To be honest? Though I think people should have thought it through before using their credit cars as much as they have, I must say (this is based on my mom's situation) that the credit card companies to some degree deserve what's happening to them.

The credit card companies made poor decisions to give credit to people who shouldn't have had credit in the first place. If this means the cards default and the company loses money, so be it. I'm all for personal and corporate responsibility. If I had had it my way, I would have let every bank fail that couldn't make the grade. Let the free market work and keep the government out of it. If we had let the system collapse, it would have sucked but we'd be on the med right now as opposed to being on the cusp of another calamitous plunge. And when that plunge happens, Obama and his minions will step in with more spending that will only exacerbate the problem.

Yeah. I know.

I dont understand any of this issue. I dont know why BO does or doesnt have a birth certificate. I dont know why LGF believes it isnt an issue.

So I'm feeling pretty good about it. "Rock ons!" and "Oh forget yous" from me to whomever they apply to, liberally.

It just shows how stupid Obama is. He could make this issue just go away if he would just order a replacement birth certificate from the post office. I think he does it to annoy republicans and conservatives and fox news.

re: #107 3 wood

I see money flowing into commodities, gold and bonds.

You have to bear in mind that there is now an absolutely massive debt to be financed, and the only way to do that is to jack up interest rates to attract the capital. I have my periodic review of my own investments with my broker last week and directed him to get ready to move a significant amount of my money into fixed income after inflation heats up. When interest rates jump up, there will be little reason to assume the market risk in the stocks if you can get a good yield in fixed income

I would not buy bonds yet. Wait until the interest rates start to rise. When interest rates rise existing bond prices fall. So get out of bonds now, but be prepared to buy later. The place to put your money now is 1. Real Estate, 2. Stock Market (not individual stocks but index funds) and 3. Commodities, Gold, etc. Start now to move away from paper money, go for hard assets.

When the inflation hits people will be looking to move paper money into hard assets, that's why real estate prices will rise. Companies simply raise prices during inflationary times, so their stock price will rise with the inflation. The first signs of impending inflation are commodity price rises....

I'm not so concerned with their political leanings as I am with their factual accuracy. I'm sure it's imperfect, if for no other reason than it's open source editing. Nobody has yet to dispute the factual accuracy of the writings just the political bias of the site.
WND is not a reliable source not because they're far right Christians but because they have a long history of posting bogus stories.

HE ALREADY RELEASED A CERTIFIED COPY OF HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE!

I wish you had read my post. First of all I am not one of those screaming from a rooftop that Obama is not eligible nor does this issue in particular work me up the way for example his socializing of private industry, bankrupting our country, and coddling of dictators of terrorists does, but I would like to see his "original" birth certificate... i.e. the one I and all other Americans have that is actually signed by the doctor, with a hospital name etc. I wont say anymore because it seems that it would be a waste of time with you because you didn't seem to read my first post I don't know why you would bother to read this one.

Yes, she was so 'religious' she felt more at home at a blog where people fantasize about me being shot in the head.

And post comments wishing for Obama to be assassinated.

You know, that kind of 'religious.'

That's another big mistake. Lefties love their myths. Why don't you know if JFK had survived Dallas, he would have singlehandedly ended the Vietnam War, eliminated poverty, and brought about true racial reconciliation? That's what liberals have been pushing since, oh, December 1963 or so.

Anybody smart on the Right wants 0bama to live long and...well, live long. If some dumbass cuts him down one moment before he steps in for that final ride on Marine One, the Myth of 0bama would be the latest version of Camelot mythology.

IIRC that was savage's problem here.

Someone over there needs to give savage a couple of doggy downers...the guy is obsessed with death.

What interests me is the way that people who start fights on the internet proceed from the false assumption that the other person gives a rat's rear what they think. Like the target of their vitriol is going to cave in, start crying, and quit what they're doing.

(In the specific case of LGF, Charles has gone up on stage and performed in front of thousands... What on earth makes these guys think that their opinion would have any weight?)

re: #237 Dianna

Yeah. I know.

Please don't ask how appalled I am by what I'm dealing with, since I can't really explain.

But there's a whole lot that - since I didn't do it - I can see both sides of it, and I'm steamed at everyone involved. It's just a lot easier to be steamed at the companies than my mom.

Excuse my minor psychological coping mechanism.

((((Dianna))))

My grandma, years ago, got a credit card offer at the age of 86 and ran it up to the max. Paid the monthly minimum until she died, at which point the company came after my parents. They had no legal obligation but paid it off anyway. Me, I would tell the company to eat it, they took the risk. But I've read articles about this - they'll actually say to relatives, who may be financially straitened themselves, "You wouldn't want to her to leave this earth with unpaid debts, would you?" And things like that.

The credit card companies, liar's-loan mortgage pushers and other sharks have a lot to answer for, and I hope some of them end up doing time.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

I just jot it down to "nut bag" and move on...I don't want to waste time with it -- but, again, that's me -- I don't expect others to follow suit). re: #248 Truck Monkey

I am interested on your take on what happened to the US auto industry. I think there is a lot of blame to spread around.

Truck Monkey -

AND - So There Is. Management Provided ALL of the Designs - AND - the Production Processes.
The American Industry "Re-Discovered" the FACT that, given the choice, American Buyers would still buy a +/- 119" Wheelbase STATION WAGON. That it was Taller and Truckier than a 1959 Plymouth Wagon (3 on my street, growing up) was even better - It was NOT a Mom-Mobile - It was an "SUV!" - OR what I call a "ULT" - Ugly Little Truck!
"SUV's" in the 1990's and Early "20's' were an empowering thing for adult, parent, FEMALES.
From here on out, IF we ALL are smarter - we will do two (2) things.
1. Buy and Drive vehicles closer to our real Needs instead of Desires.
2. FIGHT any and ALL attempts to increase taxes on a. Fuel, b. Fuel Mileage, and/or Usage.

I was born at an early age. For a matter of fact, I was born in 2025, that's right next to room 2026. When I was born, I had snow white hair. That's because a near-sighted nurse kept putting talcum at the wrong end.

I was a very scientific you lad. I once took a drunk apart to see what made him hic. I once saved my brother from drowning when he fell through a whole in the ice. That's because he had my ice skates on.

Once my Dad sent me to the store to pick up a loaf of bread. When I got home, they had moved.

"The Old Golfer"

A circus owner runs an ad for a lion tamer and two people show
Up. One is a good looking, older retired golfer in his late sixties
and the other is a gorgeous blonde in her mid-twenties.
The circus owner tells them, "I'm not going to sugar coat it. This
is one ferocious lion. He ate my last tamer so you two had
better be good or you're history. Here's your equipment --
chair, whip and a gun. Who wants to try out first?"
The girl says, "I'll go first."
She walks past the chair, the whip and the gun and steps right
into the lion's cage. The lion starts to snarl and pant and begins
to charge her. About half way there, she throws open her coat
revealing her beautiful naked body.
The lion stops dead in his tracks, sheepishly crawls up to her
and starts licking her feet and ankles. He continues to lick and
kiss her entire body for several minutes and then rests his head
at her feet.
The circus owner's jaw is on the floor.
He says, "I've never seen a display like that in my life." He then
turns to the retired golfer and asks, "Can you top that?"
The tough old golfer replies, "No problem, just get that damn lion
out of the way .. .

Too conservative and too religious to stay here, but not too conservative nor too religious to break bread with lunatics that indulge in adolescent fantasies of violence, murder, revenge, and sexual assault?

I thought she was better than that. Cravenly dishonest, that one.

The place where I keep my tubes. The bright side is that most of it missed the carpet.

Well the tubes are at least easy to wash off.

I keep all my stuff off the floor as far as possible, and reward any vertical investigation with a spritz of water and/or a quick finger-slap in between the ears, as required. They don't like me when I'm angry.

Has something to do with the way that dogs look at their owners as beloved leaders of their pack, while cats consider them staff.
Tabby must have decided you had too much free time on your hands and needed a cleanup challenge.

Stole this from somebody here last night (Yochanan?):

Dog: He feeds me, shelters me, vets me and pets me. He must be God.

Cat: She feeds me, shelters me, vets me and pets me. I must be God.

That about sums it up, I'd say.

I love 'em both, God's beautiful creatures, but I know my dog loves me as much as I love him.

When I was a kid my friend's father bought one. I didn't see another one for years. Back then, even in suburban MA it was rare to drive something that big.

Study turns back clock on origins of life on Earth

CHICAGO (Reuters) - A heavy bombardment by asteroids the size of Ireland was not enough to wipe out life on Earth 3.9 billion years ago, researchers said on Wednesday in a finding that turns back the clock of life by 500 million years.

Emphasis added. And it's essentially the same story.

Is LGF's Walter L Newton the same who sings the praises of one of the most vile racists in all of New Orleans? [Link: www.biffrose.com...] and [Link: www.biffrose.net...]

This guy Biff goes after girls young enough to be his granddaughter and she wasn't interested. BiffRose has devoted his website to rant about this poor young gal, he loves and admires hitler, yet paints her as Lady Hitler.... scroll down and is a wonderful review of this creep, by Walter L Newton. If this is the same, this is sad.

Anyhow, that this creep biffrose is stalking this girl, ripping on her on his websites as well as posting fliers all over town, she and her friends feel helpless and say there is nothing they can do, that he isn't breaking any laws! Is this true? She believes she now must leave the city to get away from this vile character. After looking at his websites, he asks for comments. Hummmmm.....

One of the radio stations referred to them as Somali pirate whores several weeks ago, when the captain was taken hostage. Ever since, I've adopted the same name for them. Most truly religious people I've known don't wear it like a badge, or a cross nailed to their back. It's part of what they are, part of what makes them a cool person inside and out. It simply is - it doesn't require a whole lot of outward embellishment for the sake of validating themselves to others. In my experience, anyway, it's usually the prayer chain people, the ones that sign their emails with sort of tasteless graphic crucifixion images, who gasp and cover their mouth if you say "Oh, shit!," the ones that remind you how churchly they are... that end up being the most counterfeit.

I rest my case.

If you're still on: a 990-PF is the return of an entity exempt from income tax. It's a federal form, and it is required by the government.

Guidestar.com has pretty much every 990-PF in existence.

You go to the pages supplied by the entity. Those show the biggest expenditures, and where the money comes from.

From wiki:

Many of his websites, such as [Link: www.Jewmanity.com,...] openly deal with race and religion. This has resulted on various online postings criticizing Rose of being antisemitic and racist [14]. It is said that Rose denies the charge.

Who knows, maybe he really did lose his mind. Once upon a time, there was this other talented musician, a kid named Michael Jackson...

I'm not saying one way or another, but a site called jewmanity.com (not a functioning site, BTW) sounds suspicious.

I've dealt with those types before. They can be the nicest, most charitable people you'll ever meet, but it is all in service to their sense of piety.

They'll give you the shirt off their back if they feel it serves their pious nature, but the moment you deviate the slightest bit from their righteous doctrine, they will retrieve that shirt by putting a knife in yours.

The most egregious offense of piety can be seen in those that deny their own children medical treatments that could save their lives. They have no other loyalty than their religion.

Is LGF's Walter L Newton the same who sings the praises of one of the most vile racists in all of New Orleans? [Link: [Link: www.biffrose.com...]...] and [Link: [Link: www.biffrose.net...]...]

562 Teacake!  Thu, May 21, 2009 9:48:30pm

I'm logging off now. You have no idea how upsetting it is to have seen those websites today for the first time. He's making a girl's life hell and then I see walter's name and wondered if its the same guy, and it sickened me that anyone would have something nice to say about that pervert. My problem is with biffrose, not walter. These kids dont think they have anywhere to turn since most of it is on line. He was banned from the coffee shop and now this. thats all. good night.

re: #557 Teacake!

We've heard you questions, but none of us are Walter, and he is not here, so let it drop until you can speak to him directly. Carrying on as you are now will do no good.

And as an after thought when people start saying I'm not being fair, I had to admit, as far as he is concerned, after all the times he has attacked me personally, called me nasty names and such, that my heart isn't all that concerned for his feelings.

I see. It seems you have a certain motive here. Talk to Walter about this when next you see him, none of us can speak for him in his absence.

567 Teacake!  Thu, May 21, 2009 9:50:53pm

Not bullshit. As I was writing the post is when I saw his name. If I hadn't scrolled down, I would have never noticed. I'm not playing hero. This is a serious matter and they told me she has to leave town. There are a lot of creeps in this city and they seem to always win.

The most egregious offense of piety can be seen in those that deny their own children medical treatments that could save their lives. They have no other loyalty than their religion.

Yep. There's a couple in the US right now (christian scientists, IIRC) who are on the run for denying their kid chemotherapy for Hodgkins disease. The kid will die if not treated. My best pal had that condition a few years ago and made a complete recovery thanks to the chemo. Made him look weird for a while but it saved his life.

571 Cato the Elder  Thu, May 21, 2009 9:54:20pm

Sigh.

Teacake, if you're concerned for someone's safety, this is not the arena in which to play that out.

The rest is bloody posturing.

Good night, and good luck.

Walter and I have been round the mulberry bush, as well.

He can be a jerk.

He also has his website out there for everyone to see, and you can call him up and complain to him. Which is more than I can say for myself or most anyone here.

Walter is what he is. Now give it a goddam rest.

Did you see their medicine cabinet on the news? It showed the mom before she rabbited away, going through a big lazy Susan spinner of all kinds of debunked herbal remedies, including truly toxic crap like colloidal silver. Then, some other guy was on after her, who claimed he tried to sell her some other bullshit snake oil that had cured him years ago, but the boys' folks didn't buy it, so it was all their fault if the poor kid didn't recover.

It went from bad to worse. Not only are the parents nuts, but they surround themselves with nutters. All their knowledge and advice comes from nutters.

With proper treatment, there's a 90-95% chance that boy could recover, but they refuse to give it to him. But - hey - it isn't like they didn't have six or eight other kids at home.

Killian Bundy and I do not see eye to eye on a variety of things. We have butted heads here, gone round and round here, and even gotten a bit nasty with each other. I doubt we could even stand to hang out together in the real world long enough to share a beer.

However, if I found something distasteful that I thought he might be connected to, I would have the courtesy and respect to address him directly with it.

And just for the record, I don't hate KB. He and I just don't get along.

Read very carefully.

On the personal side of things, I have mentioned Biff Rose on LGF, in regards to his early albums, which came out 40 years ago, in 1968 and 1969. When I was growing up, I enjoyed his music, and I found out, so did other Lizards, who have heard his songs, albums and still have his recordings.

On the professional side of things. 10 years ago I produced a folk concert with Rose as the headliner, along with some other acts. I wrote a number of critiques of his music, his career, press releases, arranged some print and radio interviews and most of the standard public relations that goes along with promoting a concert.

I suspect that is what someone saw on one of his websites. Like many performers, Rose probably used my critique(s) for personal and business purposes. I have scrape books with 30 years of reviews and material about my acting, playwriting and producing.

I haven’t seen or heard from Biff Rose in better than 8 years. The man is in his 70’s, and even on a good day in the past, he was very hard to work with. He burnt many bridges in the music industry, and killed his own career due to his “craziness.” It doesn’t surprise me that he is acting up in one way or another.

My critique of his career is public domain material, produced on the concerts programs, flyers and print media (newspapers). Fair use policy (plus the fact that the entertainer basically owns his own life), prevents me from doing anything about this. Besides, this is no different than someone writing public relations for someone or some company, and then that person or company jumps the shark.

Like I say, I have had nothing to do with the man, on any level, in more than 8 years and obviously if he is doing something crazy, dangerous or illegal, my critique of his career, 10 year ago, has nothing to do with any support of his current affairs.

All mind readers, all know my intentions, how very interesting. I was only asking if LGF Walter was the same. Mainly, which I didn't articulate very well obviously, unless people here take pleasure in twisting and spinning things to be something different - is perhaps he wasn't aware of his name being associated with a hate site, and how that might not be a thing to be desired.

You people are very much hypocrites really and not just that, but I have to wonder how bright you are coming to such outlandish conclusions about my intentions, agenda, etc. No one here seemed all that disturbed about the vile content on this guys website, or that Walter might not know his name was being associated with him and perhaps he might want to know, or that a girl the age of one of your daughters perhaps is suffering by the hand of a creep.... no, all smears and nastiness hours later, all on me. No, it is sad that you didn't contact me and ask me about it personally. My nic is always blue and it links to contact information, email, address, phone number.

No, it's sad that you went on about me in other comments, when you didn't know anything about the story or why a critique written by me would be on his webiste.

No, it's sad that you come back here, after stirring the pot, making accusations that you have NO proof to back yourself up and then claim it's all our fault.

And it doesn't matter to me, since the critique is 10 years old and I have had no contact with him in over 8 years.

Stop talking for me since you can't even correctly read what I wrote above.

I've just finished reading this thread, Teacake. You ambushed Walter. I don't claim to know your motives, but you arrived with an agenda to kick his ass.

If what you're saying about this songwriter (?) stalking an acquaintance of yours is true, then she needs to file a police complaint and find a lawyer. Walter 's involvement is highly peripheral. There are plenty of people in the music business who have serious mental and emotional issues. Witness Johnny Cash. There are others I could name, but the point is the same. So take some good advice: Back off.

You know, there's so many things to criticize the Obama administration about on a billboard that will resonate with people out there, the reckless spending, apologist and bent on appeasement foreign policy, the cult of personality, you name it. Yet they're wasting time on this tired, pathetic crap. Sigh.

A buddy of mine had an interesting theory as to why Obama hasn't released his birth certificate, college grades, etc. He says he suspects the Big Zero didn't do so good in college, probably barely passed and got grades that were no better or maybe even worst than G W Bush's. By not releasing anything, including the birth certificate, they stay consistent and don't have to answer why they released the birth certificate but not the transcripts. He says the transcripts might damage that part of the O myth about him being so smart, it would be an embarrassment to his minions if his grades were no better or even worst than a man they've been deriding for 8 years as an idiot and a buffoon. Of course we have no way of knowing if it's true unless he releases them, but it did give me something to think about.

Pawn -

They were meant to be "Middle of the Road" vehicles like the Ford Explorer and Chevy S-10 Blazer.
They "Morphed" into Expeditions, Excursions, Tahoes and Suburbans. Bad move on our part.

-S-

The SUV grew out of the original light trucks described as "utility," of which my old 1974 Bronco was an example. The Green Machine was simple, bare-bones, manual everything, vinyl and sheet metal interior - and it would almost go up and down trees.

I replaced it with a 1992 Bronco. The Dark Horse was bigger, more powerful, but had more amenities like power windows and door locks, which twelve years of hard use on jeep trails and backcountry all over the West put paid to.

Last year I had to replace the Dark Horse. Since Ford no longer makes anything like a real utility any more, I bought a low-mileage 1999 Ranger 4x4. Again, it's manual everything, plastic and rubber interior (easy to hose out after you've spent an elk season climbing in and out with muddy boots on) and it's damn near as agile as my old Green Machine.

I wish Ford would make a real utility again. I really do. There was a retooled Bronco concept car a few years back, but nothing ever came of it.

Your presence, and purpose here, at least in this particular commentary, seems entirely misdirected. If you're angry with some Biffrose character, why are you bothering a guy who has already explained that he's had no interaction with that person for close to a decade? Why not spend the time and effort you've wasted posting here, somewhere it might actually help with whatever issue it is you have with this other person?
