The Fascist Strategy of Entryism

The leader of the fascist British National Party, Nick Griffin, makes his agenda very clear in this video clip, from a meeting of “white nationalists” in America in 2000. Standing next to Griffin: former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.

Keep in mind as you watch: this is exactly the same strategy of “entryism” employed by groups like the Vlaams Belang, who are being promoted by the so-called “anti-jihad” bloggers like Pamela Geller of atlasshrugs, Robert Spencer of jihadwatch, the “International Free Press Society,” and “Baron Bodissey” and “Dymphna” at gatesofvienna.

There’s a difference between selling out your ideas, and selling your ideas. And the British National Party isn’t about selling out its ideas … but we are determined now to sell them. And that means basically to use the saleable words. As I say, freedom, security, identity, democracy. Nobody can criticise them, nobody can come at you and attack you on those ideas. They are saleable.

Perhaps one day, once by being rather more subtle we’ve got ourselves in a position where we control the British broadcasting media, then perhaps one day the British people might change their mind and say, “Yes, every last one must go.” Perhaps they will one day, but if you offer that as your sole aim to start with, you’re gonna get absolutely nowhere. So, instead of talking about racial purity, we talk about identity.

UPDATE at 5/21/09 9:07:04 pm:

The Belgian Vlaams Belang group’s “entryism” involves pretending to be pro-Israel. Here’s a post about their deceptions by Belgian native Stephanie Maneles: Paranoia or Persecution? Belgium — a place where it is not only acceptable to hate Jews, it is recommended.

The rise of the right-extremist “Vlaams Belang” political party has caused serious concern among Belgian Jews. Although the party claims to be a friend of the Jewish people, its platform is worryingly similar to that of 1930 Germany.

One of their aims is the “abolition of administrative and educational facilities for French speakers.” Interestingly, Jews are widely known to be among the French speaking population of Flanders.

The party also advocates for “deportation of all immigrants who fail to assimilate” to Flemish culture.

Worst of all, the party advocates for “full and unconditional amnesty for people convicted for collaboration with Nazi Germany after World War II” and the “revocation of anti-racism, anti-Negationism and anti-discrimination legislation on the grounds of free speech.”

Many protesting groups have objected the party’s existence. There have been lawsuits and complaints filed against Vlaams Belang, yet the only thing they have changed over the years is the party’s name.

Terrifyingly, its popularity has slowly but surely grown, allowing the Vlaams Belang to become a prominent member of the Belgian parliament. Since the elections in 1999, the number of votes in favor of the party has doubled. Is the persecution still an illusion?
