Muslim Association of Britain Seething Over Israeli Tourism

World • Views: 3,043

The radical Islamic front group calling itself the Muslim Association Of Britain has launched a campaign to have Israeli tourism advertisements removed from London subway stations. The hypocrisy is stunning, of course — because even though it’s a regular feature of Palestinian propaganda to publish maps of the state of Israel and label the whole region as “Palestine,” they’re complaining that the maps on these tourism posters don’t recognize their nonexistent country: Israeli Tourism Adverts Wipe Palestine From the Map - Take action now!

Posters have recently appeared in London Underground tube stations advertising Israel as a tourist destination. The map on the advert depicts Israel as incorporating the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights.

Please write to London Underground, the Advertising Standards Agency and CBS Outdoors – the company which manages the poster sites – asking for the removal of these posters, which deliberately deny the existence of Palestine. Contact details are at the bottom of this email.

A draft letter is included below. You can use this letter as it is, or take the information from it to write your own.

I see, so what about their maps that totally deny the existence of Israel?

2 solomonpanting  Fri, May 22, 2009 5:55:09pm

Saw this earlier and thought it was ironic and the height of chuzpah.

3 Sharmuta  Fri, May 22, 2009 5:55:19pm

Hard to include the existence of something that doesn't exist.

4 Fenway_Nation  Fri, May 22, 2009 5:55:33pm

Y'know...this is probably as good an excuse as any to have a gratuitous Girls of the IDF link set up.

5 Fenway_Nation  Fri, May 22, 2009 5:56:40pm

Q: What's the difference between Santa's workshop and Palestine?

A: One's a completely made up place that only gullible, immature brats believe in and the other makes toys at the North Pole.

6 MJ  Fri, May 22, 2009 5:57:14pm

When Palestine exists, I'm sure Israel will include it on a map. Till then, it doesn't exist and , despite what the NYT believes, it never existed!

Any ‘tourists’ would be unable to visit the Gaza Strip, as Israel prevents even humanitarian aid workers and lawyers from entering.

Why would anyone want to visit Gaza?

The old main terminal of Love Field in Dallas had a map of the world mosaic in the floor and it had "Palestine" where Israel should have been. Was either an old map or designed by Anti-Zionists.

I wonder is it easy for an American citizen to buy property there. If not then I'll have to rent.

i think now would be a good time for britain to put their foot down hard on the
whining moslem terror group.
just because they are aggressive, demanding, obnoxious bastards doesn't mean they should always get their way.
in fact, the time for britain to speak up is way over due.

it is important to call b.s. on every fcked up demand the jihadis make.

Creating yet another ethnic tribal racist nation is not what's needed, how many splinters would we have to make the world into before all of the blood and soil identity types like the palestinians will be satisfied? The answer is that it would never stop, there are too many sub sub sub tribes who can't get along, as you find in places like Waziristan, or Flanders for that matter.

All this proves is the political power of the Muslim community in Britain. It's absurd on its face, but they now hove the clout to pull off a full advertising campaign. Isreal's enemies in the West grow stronger.

I heard an ad for Cuban tourism on WCBS 880 NYC a couple of months ago. The first I can recall hearing in the U.S. It actually said, in part, "Come for to Cuba for the superior medical care", quoting Michael Moore. I practically choked.

Actually, according to MFA, less than 5% of the security fence is actually a wall.

Despite the many pictures being shown in the international media of a tall concrete wall, more than 97% of the planned 720 km. (480 mile) security fence will consist of a chain-link fence system. Less than 3% of the fence will be constructed of concrete. The short concrete sections are intended not only to stop terrorists from infiltrating, but also to block them from shooting at Israeli vehicles traveling on main highways alongside the pre-June 1967 line.

This article

The sensitive politics of Middle Eastern mapmaking have posed problems for U.K. companies in the past. Last month British airline BMI apologized for excluding Israel from its electronic in-flight map.
Israeli media had reported that on BMI's London-Tel Aviv flights, Israel and most of its cities were not marked. Only Haifa was identified — by its Arab name, Khefa.
BMI explained that the plane had been acquired from a defunct airline that flew to several Arab countries.

points out even greater hypocracy of the MAB.

The terrorists attacked Israelis when there was no fence, typically with suicide bombers. After the security fences were built, the suicide bombs practically came to a halt. The Gazans turned to mortars and kassams to murder Israelis. They fire thousands of them. Each has the intent to kill.

Where is the contempt for the Palestinians who cheer when one of those rockets or mortars succeeds in murdering an Israeli kid or senior citizen?

The Palestinians had a choice - they could live peacefully with Israeli, or they could make war. They chose war, and they haven't stopped. They complain about Israel's efforts to secure itself from those attacks, claiming that Israel is taking Palestinian land in the process. Never mind that Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza and the result was thousands of rockets fired on Israel and war. That is what Gazans did. Where are the good faith efforts to show that they will accept a Jewish state of Israel? There have been none.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand - A New Zealand mom made some online bids on toys before napping. Then her 3-year-old daughter took over and bought a bigger plaything than expected - a huge earth-moving digger for a cool $12,300.

Pipi Quinlan made the winning 20,000 New Zealand dollar ($12,300) bid on the Kobelco digger with a few mouse clicks at the auction site TradeMe while her parents slept, the Rodney Times newspaper reported in northern New Zealand.

Gaza has gorgeous beaches, and despite rumors of squalid overcrowding, quite a lot of open space. It could be one hell of a tourist...er...Mecca is not the word I want here, is it?

Gaza indeed could be a major tourist destination - on par with what Israel or Lebanon could have to offer. Beirut was one called the Paris of the Med. Gaza has the potential, but the Gazans have chosen war over economic advancement. It's a choice that continues to doom the next generation of Palestinians because all they know is hate. They don't know how to build a country from the ground up.

SEATTLE - A teacher who became notorious in the 1990s for having an affair with a sixth-grader is hosting a "Hot for Teacher" night at a Seattle bar - along with the former student, now her husband.

Bar owner Mike Morris says Mary Kay Letourneau has served her sentence and it's OK for the couple to have some fun.

Wolfram alpha, a data rather than web search engine coupled with natural language dictionaries and pseudo AI is now online. It's become a welfare nation state. They're now addicted to the "free money" that they get from other nations. This means there's no real incentive for them to create any enterprise or industry. It's not unlike the welfare citizens we see in this country.

293 gatorbait  Sat, May 23, 2009 10:39:17am

The issue is not denial of a homeland to Arabs who call themselves Palestinians. It is not a failure to identify some place on a map. THE ISSUE FOR THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR FELLOW TRAVELERS IS THE EXISTENCE IN THIS WORLD OF A PLACE CALLED ISRAEL, THE HOMELAND OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE. They also seem to have some difficulty abiding by the very existence of Jewish people, folks who share Abraham as a patriarch, but fail to accept Mohamed as a source of salvation. Of course, Muslims are not alone in coping with this kind of angst, but that is for another note someday.

298 Xenobyte  Sat, May 23, 2009 11:59:19pm

Those occupied areas... They're the result of the palestinians in cohorts with several other arab neighbours attacking Israel back in 1967 and losing big time. Israel should annex them permanently as spoils of war and be done with it. If the people living there don't want to be part of the victorious country, they can leave. That's the way it was been done for thousands of years all of the world. Most people chose to stay actually often resulting in some language weirdness for centuries to come. Just look at Europe with french and german minorities in various other countries.

Muslims are a religion; Jews are a religion AND an ethnicity. In fact, most Muslims are not Arab or Persian, but southeast Asian (Malaysia and Indonesia).
