I wonder what reloaders will make of that.

An utter waste of time, by purposefully buying or trading for used casings and using heavy tumbler media.

However, fear not. Propellant taggants and heavy-metal Earth-friendly restrictions on powder, primer, and bullets will put a stop to that. Along with the tax on factory-loaded ammo WHEN and IF you can get it.

Idjits are already hoarding lifetimes worth of primers ... a foolish decision unless you have a nice bunker for it.

re: #84 Mad Al-Jaffee

Do any of you get recorded messages on your cell phone? I've been getting one pretty much every day now, for a couple of weeks, from Chrysler Financing. I don't owe them any money and they keep on calling me. I filed a complaint with the FCC today. Anything else I can do?

I once got a bunch of calls from a car financing place. I called them back and explained that I didn't owe them money, didn't own a car, and had never taken out a car loan. They were dubious and threatening, but they stopped calling.

Methane vent? What, do they have underground cattle herds, or is the city built on top of a landfill?

From all the oil and natural gas that USED to be drilled and produced. Head out east a bit to Chino area and you have the methane vents on former dairies.

I wish it weren't so, but I fear for even worse. Both parties in Washington have let us down and refused to face up to our budget realities. This has been happening for 40 years and is now accelerating under the Teleprompter Jesus. The very harsh reality is going to hit us all in the face real soon.

Yes, there is enough guilt to go around. I didn't think that NAFTA was a good idea at the time & still don't. It violated everything that I learned in economics about a strong manufacturing base.
Displacing American workers with slave wage illegals doesn't help.
The health of our economy resting on housing starts in my opnion was never sustainable.
I am sure that there are lots of other reasons.

So, again: where the hell is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton? With the Korean Peninsula in rapid meltdown, Iran deploying it's navy into the Persian Gulf and Russia overflying out own Navy's ships in international waters, she ought to be front and center. Instead, she's completely MIA.

WTF?

re: #105 turn

Let me guess, the struggle to find a new job is what got you down the other day. What are the prospects looking like?

"You are correct, sir." Called an old friend whose husband thought I might have a chance at a job. His company deals with redeeming coupons. Don't see that going away any time soon. But I got in the door a little late. Don't want to wish anyone harm, but I hope the person they hired is incompetent opening a way in for me.

There daughter (who is as bright as they come) also works there. They have my back as best they can, not being management.

Thanks for your insight {turn}.

Actually, Clinton met with the Russians, Japanese & South Koreans today, the Iranian navy is not deploying to the Persian Gulf (Iran is on the Persian Gulf to begin with) rather, they have sent 6 ships south to the Gulf of Aden to chase pirates.

OT. Some good news. Applied for unemployment today as my severance pay runs out in one week. To my surprise, I will receive enough money to pay for rent, car payment, car insurance and a few other bills with a little left over for food, gas and such things until I can find a job.

Thank your employer for setting that money aside for ya.

We should have never gotten rid of our Manufacturing base. That, more than anything, is going to hurt us down the road. To compete with the world American companies need to manufacture out of the country. Slippery slope.
