heh. They have so many money give aways. I made too much to qualify for the, "let us pay your electric and heating bills" benefit. There are extensions to unemployment too. 13 weeks, then 7 weeks, then a few more weeks.
I do not know how any of these programs are sustainable. I haven't worked since the end of January and now have benefits for 26 weeks, at the least.

I once got a bunch of calls from a car financing place. I called them back and explained that I didn't owe them money, didn't own a car, and had never taken out a car loan. They were dubious and threatening, but they stopped calling.

"You are correct, sir." Called an old friend whose husband thought I might have a chance at a job. His company deals with redeeming coupons. Don't see that going away any time soon. But I got in the door a little late. Don't want to wish anyone harm, but I hope the person they hired is incompetent opening a way in for me.
There daughter (who is as bright as they come) also works there. They have my back as best they can, not being management.

We should have never gotten rid of our Manufacturing base. That, more than anything, is going to hurt us down the road. To compete with the world American companies need to manufacture out of the country. Slippery slope.
