Tuesday Night Music: Regina Spektor, ‘Far’

Some of the reviewers at Amazon seem to think Regina Spektor’s new album Far is “over-produced” — no way. This is a little gem of idiosyncratic pop music. Sparse instrumentation, and just enough production to make it right.

I bought the album at Amazon MP3, where it’s $7.99 compared to Apple iTunes’ $13.99. The iTunes version includes three bonus tracks, but it’s still cheaper to buy them individually after getting the rest of the album at Amazon.

The person who stands up and says, "This is stupid," either is asked to 'behave' or, worse, is greeted with a cheerful "Yes, we know! Isn't it terrific!"
