Flipper: Classy As Ever

Sen. John F. Kerry weighs in on the disappearance of Mark Sanford with a real knee-slapper.

WASHINGTON - A jovial U.S. Sen. John Kerry must have been channeling his inner Letterman Tuesday when he quipped the wrong governor had gone missing.

The Bay State Democrat was regaling a group of business and civic leaders invited to the Capitol on the bizarre disappearance of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, who was said to be hiking the Appalachian Trail.

“Too bad,” Kerry said, “if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.”

What about his scintillating humor when he said people who don’t work hard in school end up in Iraq? Bwahahahah! Hilarious!

Or when he said they must have taken off W’s training wheels when the president fell off his bike … two weeks AFTER J Effin K had fallen off his OWN bike.

Or when he made fun of a colleague by saying the senator can’t just say he ‘voted for it before he voted against it’. I suppose he forgot he’d actually been the first to speak those eloquent words.

He’s a total dunderhead and completely lacking in class.

And don’t ever forget: “Can I get me a hunting license?” Puh-leeeeeeeze!

The Left is absolutely terrified of her. At least around here, she has replaced Bush as the bete noir that haunts the moonbats’ nightmares.

Typical example:

I was interacting with a female colleague the other day. She took out a pair of glasses from her desk to read some small printing. I said, “I didn’t know you wore glasses!”

She said, “I used to, but I put them in the drawer last year, and have been squinting at things ever since.”

Me: “But why?”

Her: “Because I don’t want to look like Sarah Palin.”

Me (assessing her glasses): “But your frames are nothing like Sarah Palin’s frames — yours are oval.”

Her: “Doesn’t matter. All glasses are reminiscent of Sarah Palin. She has ruined glasses forever. Now I need to get contacts. I refuse to wear glasses while that woman continues to exist. A lot of people feel the way I do.”

I think kerry was lonesome for some spotlight, and taking pot shots at Sarah Palin is one way to get attention. He’s a nobody, and he knows it.

Not only that, but he has to keep showing Teresa that he’s an asset to her ambitions.

According to a 2004 online gossip article, Kerry has little money of his own. Before he glommed on to Teresa after his divorce, supposedly he was accepting the kindness of friends despite being a Senator.

I doubt that Teresa has provided a pre-nup that makes Kerry feel secure about the future. I’d expect her to leave their relationship if it seemed expedient; I’d expect her to be vindictive if Kerry left.

As for Palin’s chances…here’s something I having been discovering recently:

How strange,

This must be some berkeley thing, because I assure you, all the women I know (including me) who wear geek girl glasses wouldn’t even dream of connecting that with Palin.

And I know no one on the “left” who is terrified of Palin. The opposite. They love laughing at her and pray to the FSM every night that she’ll be the Republican nominee.

Then again, CA is pretty odd. So called “libs” in CA often annoy the hell out of me.

So I can believe your story, but I still believe it’s representative of where you were— not all libs.

Now there’s some highly intellectual refined hatred.
Hating someone so much that that hatred expends to inanimate objects.

That’s why it’s referred to as “derangement”.

208 Pickles  Fri, Jun 26, 2009 11:22:31am

What a moron Kerry is. It just goes to show you, you can have all the money in the world but no common sense. It’s on both sides, too as the whole Sanford thing demonstrates.

Why do libs hate this women so much?

I cannot figure that out. If she was a joke/loser, there would be some ridicule, but not this intense hatred. Local daily paper hates her, so runs a hit piece on the Governor once every few days. Then the moonbats go on there (rumor has it an alert goes out to a networking site when a story about her shows up) and just attack her on the comments section. Very nasty stuff.

Downding, even though that was funny, because so many women on ‘teh left’ are mothers. And the point of being ‘pro-choice’ is to support womens choices— that means to have a baby or not. etc.

Not cool.

Indeed. You must have missed all of the offensive shit thrown at Sarah Palin by your side (the left) who despise her for making the choice to keep her baby.
And then there’s the nirther-esqe obsession that Sarah didn’t give birth to Trig, by that conservative leftist known as Andrew Sullivan.

Why do libs hate this women so much?

They are drastically proving there real crappy ideals.

I have a theory……This past election, the winning candidate was actually younger than me. Not by much but in fact younger. That did kind of irritate me. I believe that the bulk of the Democratic feminist base is above age 50. For the same reason Sarah Palin being successful means not only repudiation of their positions, but in actuality, proof that their time has come and gone.

Big Steve, interesting theory. It makes sense that the left hates Palin’s persona (I think that’s the word). Relatively young. Energetic, stylish, successful. Oh, and female. She doesn’t fit the stereotype they need for Republicans.

And she makes the party fun. You can’t allow your opponent to do that.

And to Walter’s point that I should give Palin some credit- this isn’t about not giving Sarah credit. This wasn’t about policy or issues. It was a cheap shot. What credit should I give her- that she is who she is? I don’t think pointing out the underlying misogyny denies her who she is. The Senator from a state run by the moron Deval Patrick, represented by the likes of Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank and whose Democrat speaker-of-the-House was recently indicted for corruption (the third Democrat speaker in a row to be so indicted) and with some of the highest taxes in the nation has no right to be mocking the Governor of Alaska.

One would have thought that after his hilarious “stuck in Iraq” joke, Sen. Kerry would leave the “comedy” to a more natural comedian, like Harry Reid.

By the way, Sen. Kerry, Sarah Palin may not know French, but she could kick your sorry butt any time, any place.

“Somebody told me the other day that the Secret Service has orders that if George Bush is shot, they’re to shoot Quayle…There isn’t any press here, is there?”

“Did the training wheels fall off?” –-after being told by reporters that President Bush took a tumble during a bike ride

Not only that, but he has to keep showing Teresa that he’s an asset to her ambitions.

According to a 2004 online gossip article, Kerry has little money of his own.

Addendum. According to Wikipedia, Kerry has become rich in recent years via inheritances from his Forbes relatives. He did not have that money when he and Teresa married.

It’s ironic that John Kerry, who got re-elected as my senator despite my vote against him, would joke about anyone else “going missing.” Every time I bothered to check on how my senators had voted on some issue, I found his vote listed as “absent.” Apparently he considers himself too important to do the job he’s paid for.

I don’t know how good Palin actually is. I do know that the attempt to make her into a running joke is an effort to ensure that we do not get the opportunity to find out.

Remember Bill ‘bomber’ Clinton getting tough overseas whenever there was a crisis on the home front.
Maybe we just have Barry ‘One’ Obama with a ‘dis Palin’ every time things get tough overseas or at home.

Had the Dems and the great comedians of late night television left Palin alone after the elections, she would not get any press and would fade into the background.
