Tea Party Leader Backs Racist Doc

US News • Views: 4,847

The national coordinator of the American Tea Party movement, Amy Kremer, apparently sees nothing wrong with circulating a picture of Barack Obama as a witch doctor with a bone through his nose, and she’s pledging her support to Dr. David McKalip: Tea Party Leader To McKalip: ‘We All Have Your Back My Friend!’

In an email exchange on the Tea Party listserv, obtained by TPMmuckraker, Amy Kremer wrote:

Robin, I couldn’t have said it better myself.
David, we all support you fully and are here for you. I can assure you of one thing and that is we will protect our own. We all have your back my friend!

Let me know what I can do to help. I am here for you if you need me David.

Kramer was referring to Robin Stublen, another Tea Partier, who in response to McKalip’s apology had written that what McKalip had done in sending the email was “no different than what liberals did for eight years with Bush cartoons” and “no different than the passing of Jib Jab videos that we all have shared.” Stublen also charged that “radical members of the left” had tried to “silence” him, and called McKalip a “victim,” and a “great man fighting for a great cause.”

Kremer is the American Tea Party movement’s official National Coordinator, and also serves as a prominent public face for the movement, on whose behalf she has made numerous media appearances in recent months. According to its site, her group recently helped put together an anti-reform event featuring Sen. Jim DeMint, Rep. Tom Price, Grover Norquist, Doug Holtz-Eakin, and other right-wing luminaries.

Meanwhile, McKalip’s “apology” for sending out that racist image was apparently somewhat less than sincere.

I have had a very hard day. When you stand up and fight effectively for freedom and to protect the rights of patients from control by the government and insurance companies - you develop powerful enemies. They have used the opportunity of a lapse in judgment to try to discredit me since they can't discredit my arguments.

The Robert Spencer defense! Brilliant!

I'm not surprised by this move. When the ADL issued that press release that White Nationalists were recruiting at Tea Parties none of the leadership or Tea Party bloggers spoke up. Racist imagery is fairly common on Tea Party facebook sites. Nobody seems to mind, and the images don't seem to draw complaints. Not all the Tea Party goers are racists but the element is present and tolerated.

On the McKallip apology, he's more upset by the fact he got caught than from what he did. Typical waffling faux apology.

Just as leftists have to deal with the moonbattery of their more radical members, conservatives have to deal with the hateful, supremacist garbage.

The Tea Party concept is fine. But too many kooks in the leadership of the movement will sink it. This is the same thing that will be Obama's undoing --and clearly he knows that the center is the only place where sanity can be found. The question is whether he can stay there and we can stay the right wing radical idiots from undermining the center.

Ok, now anyone out there have any questions about the Tea Party. This was one of the head honchos supporting an obvious racist picture, Photoshopped by a recognizable member, a licensed doctor no less, a brain surgeon.

Up to this point, some supporters have mentioned that it is only a hand full of kooks that have associated themselves with the Tea Party and these kooks do no reflect the leadership or the rest of the members.

Well, it does now. I wonder how many members they will loose over this? Anyone want to weigh in?

What we do here. Talk about. If someone brings it up and endorses it call them on it. If elected officials endorse it, let have hell. Pressuring Steele with emails is good.

Just don't be silent.

I had kind of hoped, though not expected, that Tea Parties might have had some impact in reducing the magnitude of deficit spending of liberal fantasies. Which I think is probably very important.

But obviously the leadership is just using fears of Obama's reckless naivette to further darker agendas, and the people who are not really paying attention but want to make their voice heard need to extract themselves and do it in a different, more individual way.

30 Sharmuta  Fri, Jul 24, 2009 3:25:01pm
Asked to imagine an email in which the African-American President of the United States is pictured as a witch doctor, Kremer said: "I don't know if it would be a problem or not."

I will say this...I supported the idea from the outset, and almost as soon problems started to show up, via KT...I supported his research even tho the results were pissing me off...on and on and it got annoying...I said a few mean things to KT but no big deal...one night he was getting pounded pretty hard and he said, quote, "I'm gonna keep posting this stuff til you get it" and right then I knew it was over for the tea parties and their supporters...I got a big a huge jolly from that one statement and regretted ever tossing elbows over the issue...some people do it and some people just react...KT got it done...he would not quit and he had little support along the way...stroke fest over

They lost me very early, when the organizers never came out to distance themselves from the kooks.

The media will continue to paint the Tea Parties as the grassroots voice of he conservative / libertarian / classical liberals. The link all the opponents of Health Care reform to the picture of Obama as witchdoctor.

I had a this way, that way opinion up to this point, on one side here there was nothing good about the Tea Parties and on the other side here, it was all Tea Party all the time, I've been annoyed by both extremes, and I have commented, letting both extremes know that in my opinion this was being beat to death.

But, when the leadership take a stand like this, then the party is over (pun intended). There is no way to blame this on the occasional kook, or Paulian hanger-on or the neo-nazis who hook on to anything that will push against certain people (such as a black president).

Now it is in the lap of a major player. Game over. Checkmate.

I'm curious how much support we are going to see here on LGF, from the standard supportive Tea Party people?

They're painting the Tea Party movement as Republican. It's unfortunate the movement has attracted leadership from Paulians, nirthers and IDers. It would be nice if someone who could draw a big crowd could gently nudge the most well-meaning of the participants in the direction of a different, organization. Hmm. Now who could do that? I simply can't think of one recently freed up libertarian-leaning politician who could draw a crowd of fiscal conservatives.

The point is final image. Obama as witchdoctor, the historical background of what blacks in this country have been called, the image harkens to all that, that blacks are less able because of their color.

Please excuse Silvergirl's past, present and future gaffes. She's from Papua and that's just the way it is.

I looked through some blog comments out there and if I've read "it's not even an African witch doctor, he's from New Guinea" once, I've read it 50 times. Latch on hard to that line, but it's still taking you down.

re: #52 Iron Fist

Fist? I doesn't matter what it is-- it's got the POTUS--and African American POTUS- with a bone through his nose. It's a negative stereotypical image.

It would be as bad if you had photoshopped BHO's image on a Cream of Wheat or Uncle Ben's box. It was mean to be insulting by using a stereotype image.

As I said in an earlier thread, I don't like the term "racist" because I think it is too broad and over used. It might have had some meaning, but like "fascist", its original meaning has been diluted. I did not rush to condemn the photo above as "racist" ( though I decried it, its use and the person who published it) as, frankly, I am no longer certain as to the meaning of the word, or if it in fact has any real meaning.

But, this stupid image perpetuates a negative stereotype. The person who made it has a bigoted, prejudiced image of the POTUS and thought playing this game was funny. It isn't and these people are in our own damn party. And, NO--just because the POTUS might play the race card does not mean we can, too. First, it won't work. Second, we have to be better than that.

I am not an advocate of shooting the wounded, but if this Dr. and others don't see the harm they're doing, then the GOP has no hope in hell of appealing to minority voters.

Fist,

The swastika has benign originals in Hindu religious symbols and elsewhere.

However one group used that symbol, and turned it into something hateful.

This isn't anywhere near that example.

But some fool took a completely ordinary image of a shaman, and turned it into something hateful.

The image itself, like the swastika isn't the issue, it's the purpose it used for, it's the final result.

102 Ringo the Gringo  Fri, Jul 24, 2009 3:52:11pm

(a little cross posting from last thread where I made this comment)

Ok, now anyone out there have any questions about the Tea Party. This was one of the head honchos supporting an obvious racist picture, Photoshopped by a recognizable member, a licensed doctor no less, a brain surgeon.

Up to this point, some supporters have mentioned that it is only a hand full of kooks that have associated themselves with the Tea Party and these kooks do no reflect the leadership or the rest of the members.

Well, it does now. I wonder how many members they will loose over this? Anyone want to weigh in?

Walter, I want to ask you if this is a new development or else I want to correct you that the "good doctor" forwarded the email and added his written opinion to the comedic value of the photo. Then they dig their heels in about it. I'm shocked that IF continued to do so and really wish he had let it go after the first thread and cooled off for a few days.

OK. Good luck there. Don't forget some of that rhetoric has nothing to do with the right. It is just nasty people. Nothing right about it.

You know that, and I know that, but there are A LOT of people out there who don't.

And it doesn't help that many of the "nasty" people self-identify as "right", and the media will all-too-happily cooperate.

THAT's what's been bothering me, along with the circular firing squads.

BTW, if I do feel the need to "go on about" something, I won't be looking for your permission.

Wasn't meant to offend. Just an expression.

202 The False God  Fri, Jul 24, 2009 4:20:07pm

To charges of demeaning other belief systems, Charles technically does that with Creationism all the time. And he's right to. Just because you believe something to be right, doesn't make it so according to physical reality. That's one issue I have with all religions. It doesn't make me intolerant to call them wrong, though, I don't think. They're free to believe what they want to, but I don't have to buy into it nor accept it as truth.

The moment they start applying hocus-pocus metaphysical things to real-life decisions that affect everyone in a nation, is the moment I tell them to stop existing and get a clue.

I am deeply worried by the bandwagoning that anyone who doesn't immediately apply a "racist" tag to the original image is a racist, as that would imply that I am a racist. I don't like seeing iron-walling on either side of the isle. Believing you are right is a good thing, but being unwilling to accept any further argument whatsoever can be potentially bad. But that's irrelevant.

I just wanted to point out that sometimes, you have to stick to your principles and what you know is true, and be willing to test those convictions with real-life facts. Weird, mystical religionism doesn't stand up to examination, which is why you should look down on it and not accept it.

If a priest can summon "god" before me and convince me of his power, I'll believe anything branching from that when sufficient proof is shown. Until then, I'mma say "show me the money."

If Charles believes 100% that this is racist and that anyone that doesn't immediately decry it is a racist, then he should be doing exactly what he is doing: driving out racists.

Trial of Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi Extended

Myanmar's military regime, adjourning pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi's trial until Monday, gave no indication it will heed calls this week by the United States and Asian countries to free the Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

Suu Kyi, 64, is charged with violating the terms of her house arrest by harboring an uninvited American man who swam to her lakeside home and stayed for two days. She faces up to five years in prison.

[snip]

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton offered Myanmar the prospect of better relations with the United States, but said that depended in part on the fate of Suu Kyi.

They hijack a country.
They let tens of thousands die after a hurricane by deny aid into the country.
They gun monks down in the street.

And HRC offers the prospect of better relations.

As I said before, I didn't see it as racist immediately, but rather saw it in the light of making fun by calling Obama a witch doctor. Maybe I'm naive, maybe I'm just dense. I see where Charles is coming from, though, and I agree with what a previous poster said about the need to stand up against such things. I also agree that the bad doctor is likely a racist of the lowest caliber, considering who he hangs around with. And I am now deeply, mortally worried about the "Tea Parties" that I agree with on libertarian principles, but apparently are now infested with supremacists.

That's a bad thing.

I had a difference of opinion on how I originally viewed it. I believe, in the proper usage, it could convey the idea that it's making fun of his medical beliefs and plans. However, it's racist in its current usage, and his admission means he meant it to be, originally.

I would like to addendum here that I'm against any sort of double-standards, though, on what is considered "obscene", etc., etc. It's way too much to make a conversation in such a topic.

Still worried about the branding stick being applied too liberally, but it's Charles' website, and I respect his decisions.

My projects at the Maryland house were never so simple. Do you recall 2 years ago when the bathroom fell in during Mr. Armywife's leave while he was deployed? That started as a simple drain repair, too. Just sayin'.

Seriously, I hope it goes well.

I remember that well because at the time I was going through a "I'll just redo the falling cracking shower tile with a simple insert" thing... it went about the same, turning into a whole bathroom remodel.

Bushmen. That's clever, Harry.
NOT.

(The cultural relativist critique that was so recently unsuccessful for Mr. Fist would suggest that Shearer's portrayal of President Bush with "a freakin' bone through his nose" is racist as well, to the extent that the humor derives from comparison of Mr. Bush to a stereotypical "primitive savage." Granted, it's not as obviously racist as the same treatment of President Obama, but how one could draw the opposite conclusion, that neither depiction was racist, well, you just have to be trying too hard to be ignorant of race not to see it. It's not a "double standard" to recognize the Obama witch doctor image as racist, it's a recognition of historical reality.)

Maybe I'm naive, maybe I'm just dense.

Possible explanations for not recognizing a racist picture in front of your eyes.

I had a difference of opinion on how I originally viewed it. I believe, in the proper usage, it could convey the idea that it's making fun of his medical beliefs and plans. However, it's racist in its current usage, and his admission means he meant it to be, originally.

What the heck would be a "proper usage"? Naive and dense don't even cover that.

Interesting, indeed. In P-Did-He's incoherent rant during the campaign season, he stated flat out that there aren't enough blacks in Alaska to give Sarah Palin any credibility on "race issues." This prompted a swift response from a very upset black woman who pointed out that there have been blacks in Alaska since before Alaska was a state. And another response (from a black guy) pointed out that the percentage of blacks in Alaska was higher than in P-Did-He's own neighborhood.

If we were in a foreign country and someone told us, "Pointing at people is horrible; don't ever do it, as people take it as a huge insult," we would immediately try to change our behavior to fit the culture and the locale.

The fact that some people don't see the picture as racist to me means they don't understand that there are a larger variety of subcultures in America besides their own. There are people here who see this picture as a huge insult because it is. Just as I would never point at someone in a place where that is disrespectful, i would never forward such a picture that so clearly demeans our black culture.

Why was this racist picture posted twice at LGF?
Is it less offensive than the "N" word (which you'll never see here), so it could be posted, but still offensive enough to be condemned and the people that consided it not racist being condemned?

Given all the defenses and minimizing that's going on, it's apparently necessary for a lot of people to learn what kind of racist imagery some others in our country find extremely objectionable. Maybe they don't know much about history, or they're just jerks. I appreciate that Charles is airing the subject.

Because you can say "N word" which conveys the full sense, but a picture takes, well, a thousand words, easy.

And also for potentially the same logic as the Mohammed cartoons? Not that they are the same, of course; but these things need to be shown and, in some cases, clearly rebuked.

re: #321 vxbush

Well, it's a fair question for the Muhammed cartoons. Should we be arresting our own actions not to ever have an image representation of a historical figure who died a long time ago, just because people find it offensive? Is it wrong to find fault in people who are willing to go to violent means to "get back" at people who do this?

There's a point where respecting other cultures means we have to completely uproot the foundations of our own lives and history in order to appear "congenial" if we're going to do it.

A huge, huge topic of debate, though.

Art Show Encourages People to Deface the Bible, Write Obscenities

A publicly funded exhibition is encouraging people to deface the Bible in the name of art — and visitors have responded with abuse and obscenity.

The show includes a video of a woman ripping pages from the Bible and stuffing them into her bra, knickers and mouth.

The open Bible is a central part of 'Made in God’s Image,' an exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow. By the book is a container of pens and a notice saying: “If you feel you have been excluded from the Bible, please write your way back into it.”

Expelled redux? Creationists Misrepresent Historians

Three historians of science are unhappy about their treatment in a creationist movie about Darwin, as they explain in a note in the July 2009 Newsletter of the History of Science Society. Peter Bowler, Janet Browne, and Sandra Herbert write, "We have recently been featured in a documentary film, 'The Voyage that Shook the World,' produced by Fathom Media of Australia and directed by Stephen Murray of Synergy Films, New Zealand. We were led to believe that the movie was being made to be shown as an educational film on Australian broadcast television and possibly elsewhere. Fathom Media was revealed to be a subsidiary of Creation Ministries International when publicity for the movie began to appear on the internet.

At words poetic, I'm so pathetic
That I always have found it best,
Instead of getting 'em off my chest,
To let 'em rest unexpressed,
I hate parading my serenading
As I'll probably miss a bar,
But if this ditty is not so pretty
At least it'll tell you
How great you are.

You're the top!
You're the Coliseum.
You're the top!
You're the Louver Museum.
You're a melody from a symphony by Strauss
You're a Bendel bonnet,
A Shakespeare's sonnet,
You're Mickey Mouse.
You're the Nile,
You're the Tower of Pisa,
You're the smile on the Mona Lisa
I'm a worthless check, a total wreck, a flop,
But if, baby, I'm the bottom you're the top!

Your words poetic are not pathetic.
On the other hand, babe, you shine,
And I can feel after every line
A thrill divine
Down my spine.
Now gifted humans like Vincent Youmans
Might think that your song is bad,
But I got a notion
I'll second the motion
And this is what I'm going to add;

You're the top!
You're Mahatma Gandhi.
You're the top!
You're Napoleon Brandy.
You're the purple light
Of a summer night in Spain,
You're the National Gallery
You're Garbo's salary,
You're cellophane.
You're sublime,
You're turkey dinner,
You're the time, the time of a Derby winner
I'm a toy balloon that’s fated soon to pop
But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

You're the top!
You're an arrow collar
You're the top!
You're a Coolidge dollar,
You're the nimble tread
Of the feet of Fred Astaire,
You're an O'Neill drama,

You're Whistler's mama!

You're camembert.

You're a rose,
You're Inferno's Dante,

You're the nose
On the great Durante.
I'm just in a way,
As the French would say, "de trop".
But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

You're the top!
You're a dance in Bali.
You're the top!
You're a hot tamale.
You're an angel, you,
Simply too, too, too diveen,
You're a Boticcelli,
You're Keats,
You're Shelly!

You're Ovaltine!
You're a boom,
You're the dam at Boulder,
You're the moon,
Over Mae West's shoulder,
I'm the nominee of the G.O.P.

Or GOP!

But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

You're the top!
You're a Waldorf salad.
You're the top!
You're a Berlin ballad.
You're the boats that glide
On the sleepy Zuider Zee,
You're an old Dutch master,

You're Lady Astor,
You're broccoli!
You're romance,
You're the steppes of Russia,
You're the pants, on a Roxy usher,
I'm a broken doll, a fol-de-rol, a blop,

But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

It's a racist, anti-vaxxer, nirther, freak show. The only sincere thing about them is how out and out shitty they are, right to the core. If they think this is helping the debate about Obama's health care, they're truly delusional.

Prudent.

If that's what the Sgt. did, it goes to his credibility. The Sgt. would know he had an audio record and his public statements would be made with the knowledge he had done that. He knows any statements that he made could be proven false or corroborated by the recording.

398 JHW  Fri, Jul 24, 2009 5:27:43pm

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch earlier this year ran this article, Cartoon of Obama in Russian Ice Cream Ad , along with readers' comments and a depiction of the ad itself. I see it as far less offensive than the photo-shop picture, but people instantly recognized its racist overtones when it came from a foreign source. It is inevitable, I think, that some of the nations and movements that are less than friendly to the USA are going to use Obama's race in a demeaning way in propaganda, and I doubt very much that the people defending the photo-shop as innocent are going to be singing the same tune when they see this kind of crap coming from the Taliban, Al Quaida or a neo-Stalinist Russia.

Weapons and gun talk have long been a favorite off topic topics on LGF. Every thread eventually goes to guns or boobs.

while I understand your concerns about keeping the nutters from making us look bad, a bit of low-level low-brow humor is best ignored, rather than amplified.

What about the environment at LGF makes you think it's okay to give this stuff a pass or ignore it?

During the Bush presidency the opposition has crossed every line to defame president Bush and his administration. Now Pandora's box is open.

So. Iron Fist is banned.

Ok.

It's Charles' house and Charles' rules. No question, no quibbles.

But I have something to say about my friend. And before I say it, I should be clear that I am old enough to be his mother.

He is a man in every good sense of the word. There is no bullshit about him. I see what he has posted about that pic of Obama. It speaks to two things about him - he is WAY more knowledgeable about asian societies that most anyone here - and he is loathe to think the worst of people.

As for the 'stabbing, shooting, killing' remarks from Charles at #154 that I think referred to Iron Fist -

There haven't been very many posts on the subject but we have had a few conversations about 'chicks with guns' (I'm one of them, btw). They've always been in the context of having the capability of killing a mortal threat.

IF is one of the best people I have known. He is gentle. But he absolutely does not think violence in the service of the good is wrong. I'm with him on that. And he prepares himself in the event.

As a woman - and as I said in the beginning I'm old enough to be his mother - I find him a good and fine man. Not without faults, none of us is.

I remain honored to hold him as my friend.

I don't think Iron Fist knows "WAY" more about Asian societies than anyone here. The man in the original photo-shopped picture is not Asian, he's a Huli tribesman from Papa New Guinea, which is not part of Asia...Papa New Guinea
lies off the northern coast of Australia.

Besides which, it makes no difference if the picture originates in New Guinea, Africa or in Kansas, it's still a racist image.

re: #415 Ringo the Gringo

In case you didn't see my take on that POS pic: here

I've spent a bit of time thinking about this.

I have no insight into McKalip's intent or into the moron that thought the photoshop was a good idea.

Is it racist, is it from the right, blah blah blah.

Here, IMHO, is what it comes down to for me.

It dehumanizes Barack Obama.

I despise the man's policies. I think he is a liar and a stealth president and all the rest. If that man gave a speech that assured me the sun rises in the east, the very least I would do would be to get up early in the morning and double-check.

This photo made another human being an object of ridicule. Not his policies. Him.

So, when push comes to shove, how lame is this really? How involved in your own cleverness do you have to be to completely ignore the substance of the policies and denigrate the humanity of Barack Obama.

Because whether the intent was racial or not - the impetus was dehumanization. And it was dehumanization in the most repugnant of memes. The meme of the primitive

We've seen this before.

In the cause of human health care no less.

Where the fuck do I hurl?

What an absolute crock

Thank you Charles.

I'm in the process of TRYING to talk to him now (as you know, he's in 'the romance stage' and is a bit distracted - the cell phone # Ihave is for his fiance and I'm NOT getting thru)

One of the things I think is a barrier in communication/understanding is that because I know him personally, I can 'hear' his voice - and it probably doesn't 'sound' the same as it does in text. I always 'hear' him when I read his posts and I know just what he means.

As for the posts you deleted, I didn't see them (you must be exhausted from that thread - lordy, you had to move fast!)

But, the bottom line is this is your house and your rules. I respect that. End of conversation. I will not abuse your bandwidth or your hospitality more than I have about this. Thank you for understanding. He really is a good guy.

I didn't miss that point. That was the point. We don't need to get down in the gutter like the BDS crowd did. Whatever message "Obama witch doctor" was intended to send is about as effective as the idiots who were making up their "Bu$hitler" stuff, and easily as offensive.

re: #302 vxbush

I'm coming in late (hazards of having to do things like, you know, eat), but here's a thunk:

If we were in a foreign country and someone told us, "Pointing at people is horrible; don't ever do it, as people take it as a huge insult," we would immediately try to change our behavior to fit the culture and the locale.

The fact that some people don't see the picture as racist to me means they don't understand that there are a larger variety of subcultures in America besides their own. There are people here who see this picture as a huge insult because it is. Just as I would never point at someone in a place where that is disrespectful, i would never forward such a picture that so clearly demeans our black culture.

Sadly, a lot of people see modifying their behavior to be polite as a betrayal of their imagined right--nay, obligation--to do any damn thing they feel like.

Best Thanksgiving table exchange in my family, ever:

Cousin, whispering loudly: "MOM! Grandpa's a bigot!"

Aunt, speaking in a normal tone: "Yes dear. He is. Did I forget to tell you that?"

A photoshop of Obama in exaggerated western garb peddling snake oil from the back of a covered wagon would have been better.

431 HK_USP_45  Sat, Jul 25, 2009 7:36:19am

I'm a proud conservative and I am fully behind the Tea Party movement and what it stands for -- anti-taxes. HOWEVER, I cannot stand F'ing racists. I agree with the person who said to get the F out of our party. When pics and crap like that are circulated, it makes us all look bad, and I do not want to be lumped in the same category as racist a-holes.

432 salt1907  Sat, Jul 25, 2009 12:50:48pm

I haven't read the other comments (there are over 400 of them) and I am not familiar with every nuance of this story, but I remember something from the 1980 Presidential debates. Ronald Reagan compared Jimmy Carter to a "witch doctor" with regard to the economy. In this case, I understand that the photo relates directly to the health care "debate." Why should Obama be immune from a similar attack that Reagan made against Carter. Does Obama's skin color make him immune from this type of analogy? Should Carter have been immune? Was Reagan wrong to use the analogy? Of course, Reagan didn't have "photoshop."

433 Salamantis  Sat, Jul 25, 2009 2:22:43pm

re: #431 HK_USP_45 I agree with you 150%. We need to take the high road and hit them where it hurts. Not photo shopping to be labeled a racist. Just by disagreeing with Obama we are labeled that. I will not tolerate anyone calling them self a conservative but then make fun of Obama's race. If we are to reach out to the black community then we do not need idiots like them. If she is going to be a tea- par tier then maybe Garofalo was right. Let's leave that up to the liberals. Thank you Charles for digging this out.
