Can't listen right now. I'm on hold (again) with the ASPCA poison control to report that there were no pills produced from the hydrogen peroxide administrations.
They charge $60 for the consult! Still cheaper than the emergency vet on a Sunday night. Not complaining really just suprised. I am very glad they offer the hotline.
I hope that I keep a bit of an edge when I get old. Whatever that means. I have been too busy behaving myself and acting responsible... so when I get old I might just have to act up a little. ; )
It has come to my attention that nefarious rumors are being spread about me, having to do with me wearing a mullet, driving a primered IROC Z, and blasting Bon Jovi as I cruised for babes in my sleeveless denim jacket.

Navy Capt. Michael Scott Speicher's plane was shot down on the first day of the 1991 war. Wreckage was found but not the remains, until last week after an Iraqi tipped off Marines.

I wish I could find more videos on her ... and I cannot because she is just one of those musicians that never gets the credit that she deserves ... so anyway ... I will post this ... and if you ever get to see her in person ... she is so great ... one of my favorites ... a friend of mine paid the big bucks to have her at his wedding ... it was so sweet ... I just love her ... this video does not do her justice ...
The guy in the red makes a great appearance in this video too. Maybe the ray gun beams emanating from him in videos is his vocation?

While a bunch of people have praised Inara George ("The Bird"), I'd like to say a few words on behalf of the other half of the duo, Greg Kurstin ("The Bee"), who does the instrumental and production work on their albums.
I first saw him when he was gigging around LA with his then-wife, Pamelia, as "The Kurstins" [note: he's remarried, but he's not married to Inara George--she's married to someone else; their partnership is a musical one].
He was a very impressive keyboard player (and Pamelia played theremin and sang). I hadn't kept up with his work for a while and then found out that, among other things, he's the producer behind Lily Allen's hit, "Everything's Wonderful" and he produced her most recent album, "It's Not Me, It's You", which is a nice piece of work (there is one anti-Bush song on it, but one can skip it, ignore it, whatever).

For some reason I am on a Concrete Blonde binge, every album is just solid. Not sure what I was doing when they were touring. Another song I just bought, GG Allstars 'Man from Carolina'. So good I have to dig the keyboard out of the garage.
Both the "Polite Dance Song" and the "She's Got Me Dancing" music video (the latter linked by coquimbojoe above) were directed by Eric Wareheim, of Tim and Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job! Tim (Heidecker) and Eric have a very strange sense of humor, rooted in awkward situations, nonprofessional actors, and a "poorly made early nineties public access" aesthetic.
Little George remains one of my favorites. Timeless. Spooky melodies with catchy hooks and strange lyrics and space videos? I MONSTER Check out Heaven and A Sucker for your Sound. Find Stephen's voice or someone close to it? in a song. Fun stuff.
