Video: Hezbollah Caught Red-Handed Smuggling Weapons

Middle East • Views: 2,459

Just posted at the IDF’s YouTube page:

On October 12, 2009, there was an explosion at a Hezbollah weapons storehouse in Tayr Filsay, in southern Lebanon. This aerial footage, taken shortly after the explosion, shows Hezbollah operatives closing down the area around the warehouse, driving in two trucks and removing weaponry from the site. They then took the weapons to a known weapons storage facility in the center of the village of Dir a-Nahar about four kilometers away. Only after Hezbollah removed the weaponry did they allow UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army to enter the site of the explosion. The IDF has sumbitted the footage to UNIFIL to aid in their investigation of the incident.

Whatever happened to surprise inspections?

"Hey! We'll be over Thursday to see if you have any illegal weapons. Will that day work for you?"

That's huge. I'm sure it'll be all over the front pages of all the newspapers tomorrow.

Heh... Right.

But, but, but... *sputters* How do we know those weren't Mossad agents pretending to be Palestinians in order to frame them? Or maybe they were smuggling food! Yeah, that's it! FOOD!

Gee, is this really a big surprise? Oh yea, to the UN it is, the rest of the world with any common sense, nope.

Only after Hezbollah removed the weaponry did they allow UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army to enter the site of the explosion.

And now you know why al-Baradei gave Iran 2 weeks before inspecting the "secret" nuke site in Qom.

The IDF has submitted the footage to UNIFIL to aid in their investigation of the incident.

I'm quite sure that the UN Interim Farce in Lebanon will be wearing their traditional opaque glasses when it comes to watching this footage. Also, why is this still an "interim" force. What is to come after it and when?

13 pre-Boomer Marine brat  Tue, Oct 13, 2009 12:46:35pm

If you look closely, you can see a "Deli" sign on the front of the first building. You can also see mustard and horseradish sauce dribbling onto the street behind the men carrying their sub-sandwich out of the shop.

14 Kosh's Shadow  Tue, Oct 13, 2009 12:46:40pm

I'm sure the UN will be all over it. If Hizballah invites them for tea, that is

Nobody at the UN is surprised by anything other than the high resolution quality of the IAF's surveillance images.

You were merely confused by a copy editor's poor choice of word.
I have fixed that.

I can't help but look at films like that - with 20-30 hezzies at a munitions dump and think target rich environment.

Only one thing missing IMHO...the direct IDFmissile strikes on both warehouses, with extreme prejudice to all concerned.

Where are some Israeli F-15I when they are needed? With some LGB's...

36 The Optimist  Tue, Oct 13, 2009 1:13:01pm

A little off-topic: In Obama's Cairo speech he gave Muslim's credit for great inventions, etc. and in the founding of the United States. All 100% untrue BS.

Now the Nobel Peace Prize panel gives Obama an award for accomplishments that never occurred.

Is this some characteristic surrounding Obama? Is this why Obama never released his school records? Has Obama been given credit for things that never happened?

When does reality set in?

What will the UNHRC do if Israel disappears? 98% of their business would disappear. They might have to focus on real human rights issues.

Then they'll find something else to complain about, like the US and Canada. And Australia.

It's very hard to tell what's going on in that video. You could change the captions and completely change the meaning.

For that you need to ask for a raise to the Great Master Rabbi. I'm sure he will accept it, but you know, there is a world crisis and all the rabbis lost some capital...

44 Political Atheist  Tue, Oct 13, 2009 1:35:11pm

How about our UN diplos get up and out this as Obama did the new Iranian facility. Seriously, this is an opportunity to push back.

I almost flamed your comment but then thought better of it. To the untrained eye, and out of context, it is just a bunch of busy people hustling to the site of a warehouse explosion and removing the contents of the warehouse to another, (as yet) unexploded location. It could be tulip bulbs, it could be comic books, it could be menhirs. Except none of these things have a tendency to explode, and peole who move flowers, comic books and large rocks don't first seal off the area. Further, to a trained intelligence analyst, and in the context of the aforementioned explosion and death therein of a senior Hezbullah militant, the picture that emerges is precisely the one as described by the IDF. Consider the video as something written in a foreign language, but with pictures: you can recognize some of what is going on, but for the most part you rely on interpretation.

46 rwmofo  Tue, Oct 13, 2009 2:10:08pm

This makes me sad...because the IDF has been known to capture a SPLODEYDOPE! right in the middle of the afternoon having an unfortunate "work accident."

Kosh -

Welcome to my world. Am awaiting Windows 7 upgrades for this laptop and the "big box" downstairs with anticipation - AND - trepidation. Hopefully M/S has worked through that problem.
Wonder if anyone here knows whether a Windows 7 Upgrade Install will affect the "Linux" side of the house in a dual boot "Ubuntu under Wubi" environment. Anybody know?
As for the "Hezzy-Fits" - where do they get their explosives? Acme Dynamite, Proprietor Wyl E. Coyote?
