Bachmann: ‘I’m a Lovable Little Fuzz Ball!’

Michele Bachmann (R-Mars) says she can’t understand why people dislike her so much — after all, she’s just “a lovable little fuzz ball.”

“I don’t know. I’m a lovable little fuzz ball!” said Bachmann. “I have no idea what they would have to fear. I guess you would have to ask them; they would have the better answer to your question. I am doing my job. That’s what I was elected to do. I don’t fear the left, and maybe that’s part of the loathing that they feel toward me. I’m not afraid to speak out on conservative positions and on issues. We’re a deep-blue state, we’re a strong liberal, Democrat state.”

Bachmann has previously wondered why Democrats don’t like her. We’ve collected some of the reasons — such as her having called for revolution against President Obama’s Marxist tyranny, and calling upon conservatives to slit their wrists and become blood brothers in the fight against the Democrats on health care, and many other examples.

Isn't this how Rush constantly describes himself? What's so great about being a fuzz ball?

I used to have a cat that coughed up fuzz balls. The process was unsightly and the result wasn't pretty.

So I completely understand Bachmann's comparison.

I was reading a housekeeping support website where a woman described screaming when she saw a totally unfamiliar fuzzy thing crawling across her floor, only to realize it was a silverfish dragging a dust bunny.

These are not terms you want political people using about themselves.

I’m not afraid to speak out on conservative positions and on issues.

And this goes right back to my comments from yesterday. Another messenger f'ing up the message. She doesn't represent "conservative positions", she represents conspiracy, paranoia and venom.

Sounds better when Rush says it.

15 Mich-again  Thu, Dec 10, 2009 11:07:41am

Well I went to Wikipedia to read up on fuzzballs. Hmm. maybe Bachman was right.

Quite unlike the view of a black hole as a singularity, a small fuzzball can be thought of as an extra-dense neutron star where its neutrons have decomposed, or “melted,” liberating the quarks (strings in string theory) comprising them. Accordingly, fuzzballs can be regarded as the most extreme form of degenerate matter.

Good news for Obama: The right is gonna get crazier...
Exclusive Interview: Andrew Breitbart Announces Launch of New “Big” Sites

The newest site to join the Breitbart network is “Big Journalism,” which will launch in January of next year. His target is much bigger than HuffPo — or any other website for that matter. Breitbart is gunning for the institution of mainstream media, or what he calls “the Democratic-media complex.”
...
He plans, in the not-too-distant future, to unveil new sites as part of his “Big” network, including Big Education, Big Tolerance, Big Jerusalem, and Big Peace, among others. Each site will be a mix of aggregation and group blogging.
...
Big Tolerance:

The site “will be run by my own version of the rainbow coalition: black and Hispanic conservative libertarians, Jewish, gay conservatives and libertarians. Those who are viewed in multicultural realm as traitors to their race, sexual orientation, and other cultural Marxist categories are going to act together to hold accountable the Media Matters and Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons and left-of-center Human Rights Organizations — which means toeing the line on multiculturalism and knee-jerk liberalism. These people are not allowed another point of view, and if they ever voice one they are vilified mercilessly.”
...
Breitbart explains: “we aim to for a largely underserved audience who fiercely believe in free markets and don’t think Western Civilization sucks. If we aren’t 50% country of the country, we are damn near close. We are Tea Party-esque, with outraged Americans who have had it up to here with mainstream media.

This is a list of the warnings in the commercial:

Warning: Pregnant women, the elderly, and children under 10 should avoid prolonged exposure to Happy Fun Ball.

Caution: Happy Fun Ball may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds.
Happy Fun Ball contains a liquid core, which, if exposed due to rupture, should not be touched, inhaled, or looked at.

Do not use Happy Fun Ball on concrete.

Discontinue use of Happy Fun Ball if any of the following occurs:
itching
vertigo
dizziness
tingling in extremities
loss of balance or coordination
slurred speech
temporary blindness
profuse sweating
heart palpitations

If Happy Fun Ball begins to smoke, get away immediately. Seek shelter and cover head.

That's really odd...

At least a half-dozen Republican senators and representatives are planning to head to Denmark next week, as part of the overall U.S. congressional delegation, which includes plenty of Democrats as well.

But the Republicans have a markedly different agenda.

"Truth squad," is how Sen. Jim Inhofe spokesman Matt Dempsey described the GOP team. He called the Democratic visitors to the conference the "doom squad."

Can they do that? They are there as invited members of the US delegation but their goal is to sabatage their own country's agenda. I guess it might cause to much of an outrage if Obama disinvited them.

not surprising; the real ones are farmed. so they aren't depleting the world's supply of trees, and they biodegrade wonderfully when discarded.

Inventiveness, a strong sense of authorial voice, and the concept that anything could happen and that the narrator isn't going to be the source of revelation or final explanation; that I'll have to figure out the story as if I was a character, from bits and pieces.

I think the narrator's vision of himself is one of the strongest points of the story. He has a very deprecating view of himself and its really only the actions of his friends and those around him that you can see parts of him that he misses. I dont know how far you've gotten, but I have a theory about one of the key events which happens later and how it affects him. Wanted to see if it makes sense to anyone else.

The real question is what is the carbon footprint of a Christmas tree. The report argues that real trees are more environmentally friendly than the plastic ones.

Not an option here. Tried one a few years back and the dog kept peeing on it.
