White Supremacist Blogger Robert Stacy McCain’s Neo-Nazi Pal on Trial

Robert Stacy McCain’s neo-Nazi pal Bill White (the guy McCain got published in the Washington Times), is in big trouble in Virginia, as people testify about his stalking and threats: Columnist Describes Barrage of Threats from Nazi Leader.

Target of Neo-Nazi Threatmaker Bill White Tells of Fear.

Here are the LGF posts documenting Robert Stacy McCain’s connections to Bill White, who also threatened me and tried to find my home address and the addresses of my family:

The Other ‘Other McCain’
Robert Stacy McCain’s Latest Excuse

UPDATE at 12/15/09 10:19:25 am:

Where did Robert Stacy McCain meet Bill White? At the 2002 conference of American Renaissance, an openly white supremacist organization. (Hat tip: Sharmuta.)

After about six months, White left the Pravda job. He was growing closer and closer to the leaders of the radical right, as shown by his attendance at the 2002 conference of American Renaissance, a white supremacist journal. While there, he met a reporter for the far-right Washington Times, Robert Stacy McCain. Before long, White was being quoted in the Times, including in a story on an “alternative currency” issued by extremists. Described as “a Web development consultant for political and corporate clients,” White gushed on about the dubious notes.

You don’t need to take my word (or the SPLC’s word) that American Renaissance is a truly vile white supremacist organization; check out the Google cache of their website.

I suppose for some on the far right, being a nazi is ok... That really should tell you everything you need to know about the wingnuts.

Scorpions behave like scorpions.

Nazis behave like nazis, which is why no decent person has anything to do with them.

Not just the far right -- McCain is defended by almost the entire right wing blogosphere, and publishes his tripe at Hot Air and Pajamas Media.

If R.S. McCain were a leftist with ties to this guy, the right-wing blogosphere would be screaming for his murder.

But since he's on the "right", he's a hero to them.

It's fucking disgusting.

Does RSM have a bus to throw inconvenient associations under?

6 Robdouth  Tue, Dec 15, 2009 10:04:24am

Perhaps he wanted your address to mail you a fruit basket for the holidays. Then again, probably not so much.

Kudos to you. If that had happened to me, I'd be done with any blogging or anything that puts me in the public eye. Maybe not for my own personal safety, but for that of my family. I couldn't handle that level of worry.

Sadly it's not just the far right. Michelle Malkin writes for white supremacist sites like VDARE and Pat Buchanan is very well connected among conservative circles. The fact that RSM pals around with violent neo-nazis doesn't bother some people.

I like how being a Nazi is just fine, but being against them means you're just like Hitler.

I know it's horribly OT, but your add for the Colin Firth version of Pride and Prejudice just reminded me that I picked up a NYT Bestseller called "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" which is basically the original book with a bunch of zombies put in to spice it up. I'm hoping it catches on and the co-author Seth Grahame-Smith, does this with other classical works of fiction as well.

And if the entire right wing blogosphere is ok with open nazi scum, then we can only conclude the the entire right wing blogosphere is sick, twisted and insane.

It may wel;l be that we are heading for an America which really is divided by normal people who are basically moderate (perhaps a bit to the left, or a bit to the right) but the rest are just honking insane - and open courtiers of evil to boot.

I am down with that being a possible view of reality. But in general when I point to how fucking insane the right is in general, and that Rush, Beck, Hannity, Palin, Inhofe and Barton are not really that far from RSM, Malkin and Geller if you scratch them, people here tend to scream at me for painting with a broad brush.

From the 'Robert Stacy McCain's Angry Departure From the Washington Times' link you can see that Stacy and bill white met at an American Renaissance conference. What types are you likely to meet at Jared Taylor's conferences?

BNP leader embraced by top US nazis

The seventh two-day conference of American Renaissance took place at the plush Hyatt Dulles Hotel in Herndon, Virginia, just outside Washington DC, on 24-26 February 2006. David Williams reports from inside the event.

John Brimelow (twin brother of Peter Brimelow, author of the influential anti-immigration tract Alien Nation) who runs the popular VDARE.com website attended and was observed cloistered in the atrium consorting with [Don] Black and his cohorts. A controversial figure for some within the American Renaissance milieu, David Duke, former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (who was succeeded by Black), was there as were the far-right radio talk show host Hal Turner, Mark Weber, director of the California-based Holocaust denial outfit the Institute for Historical Review (IHR), Kevin Strom of National Vanguard and David Pringle, both former members of the neo-Nazi National Alliance. There was also a large contingent of Canadians led by Paul Fromm of the Canada First Immigration Reform Committee. Fromm is a friend of the Holocaust deniers Lady Michelle Renouf and Ernst Zündel who, much to Fromm’s annoyance, is currently on trial in Germany.

Nice place to make some friends- if you're a racist asshole.

Michelle Malkin achieved great popularity with the Right via a book defending internment camps for American citizens.

Repeat that to yourself a few times. Close your eyes, scrub at them with your hands for a bit, open them, and then reread it again.

Then realize, this isn't an obscure commentator dipping into the murky but tempting waters of occasional hyperbole. This is her entire thesis.

How off the rails has political discourse become in this country when such an argument isn't treated like the uncomfortable ramblings of your favorite crazy uncle, but actively embraced by an entire segment of the American public as a reasonable representation of their values?

I tried to rework Lewis Carroll by tossing in a vampire. I called it "Dracula Through the Looking Glass". Unfortunately the title character couldn't see himself in the mirror, so ended up trying to jump through a wall. As a result, he suffered from amnesia, forgot he was a vampire, and learning that he was a four hundred year old senior citizen, made the tragic mistake of moving to a time-share in Sun City.

The main exciting thing about the Dreamliner is it is a departure from standard aircraft construction since the 1940's. It's mostly made out of composites, rather than aluminum. Aircraft designers are remarkably resistant to change, so the fact that this thing actually flies (and appears to perform pretty well) is a step forward in the air industry.

Fred C. Koch

The businesses Fred Koch started and passed down to his family would come to be known as Koch Industries. Fred Koch formed the predecessor corporation in 1945. Prior to that he had been active in expanding the oil refining industry in the U.S.S.R., while that nation was allied with the United States during World War II. Koch was a founding member of the John Birch Society. He authored A Business Man Looks at Communism (1961).

Off topic, but Charles, I hope you can take the time to link this up.

This is a recent PNAS report on the effects of Climate change on American agriculture. If you want something to keep you up at night, this is a fine place to start.

My commentary about millions starving is no hyperbole.

There are many papers like this.

Nonlinear temperature effects indicate severe damages to U.S. crop yields under climate change

Wolfram Schlenkera,1 and Michael J. Robertsb

PNAS 2009 106:15594-15598

Abstract:

The United States produces 41% of the world's corn and 38% of the world's soybeans. These crops comprise two of the four largest sources of caloric energy produced and are thus critical for world food supply. We pair a panel of county-level yields for these two crops, plus cotton (a warmer-weather crop), with a new fine-scale weather dataset that incorporates the whole distribution of temperatures within each day and across all days in the growing season. We find that yields increase with temperature up to 29° C for corn, 30° C for soybeans, and 32° C for cotton but that temperatures above these thresholds are very harmful. The slope of the decline above the optimum is significantly steeper than the incline below it. The same nonlinear and asymmetric relationship is found when we isolate either time-series or cross-sectional variations in temperatures and yields. This suggests limited historical adaptation of seed varieties or management practices to warmer temperatures because the cross-section includes farmers' adaptations to warmer climates and the time-series does not. Holding current growing regions fixed, area-weighted average yields are predicted to decrease by 30–46% before the end of the century under the slowest (B1) warming scenario and decrease by 63–82% under the most rapid warming scenario (A1FI) under the Hadley III model.

On December 15th, 2009 at 10:10 am, Ronbo said:
Looking at Obamacare from a Radical Republican point of view, I hope it passes because it will make the collapse of the American economy inevitable. This would lead to massive unemployment, hunger, disease and anarchy. The upside is that it would radicalize the middle class to rise in a bloody Second American Revolution, which would conclude with the execution, imprisonment, or exile of most Leftists in the country. The division of this country into two hostile camps will not end as a result of compromise and elections, but only by “Iron and Blood.”

I find it amusing that all the politicians making veiled revolution references would likely go nowhere near armed conflict. Can you imagine Bachman or Armey out there with an assault rifle? Never in a million years. That's for the little people.

Send them off with their guns, cower let them "water the tree of liberty" with their blood a bit, then swoop in to claim victory and set up exactly the same broken system we have now, given the current situation was at least partially their fault to begin with.
