White Supremacist Robert Stacy McCain Refuses to Debate with Barrett Brown

Imagine my surprise to discover that white supremacist blogger Robert Stacy McCain has cravenly refused Barrett Brown’s challenge: Stacy McCain Finally Acknowledges, Declines My Offer to Debate.

And in classic Stacy McCain style, he throws in an ugly smear while running away.

McCain uses his post as an opportunity to deploy – for the third time, by my count – a jokey jibe in reference to the fact that my upcoming book singles out for criticism several commentators of Jewish background:

Speaking of which, I’m told that Barrett Brown loved Avatar. Not that he’s a racist. But he does suck. Be sure to look for his book, People That Barrett Brown Doesn’t Like (Mainly Jews), coming soon to a clearance bin near you.

Fair enough. I e-mailed McCain this afternoon in hopes of finally getting him to at least acknowledge that I had challenged him to an e-mail exchange whereby he would have the chance to shoot down the various accusations that have been made against him by Charles Johnson and myself before they go into my soon-to-be-completed book on the American punditry. As I wrote:

Regarding your most recent mention of me, I knew Avatar was going to suck as soon as I saw the first preview.

If you have the time to write blog posts about how poorly my book is going to do and how much I dislike the Jews, then surely you have the time to respond to my offer, even if only to decline it.

McCain responded as follows:

“Offer”? As if you were the soul of generosity, and I in need of your philanthropy. Do your work, do it well, collect your pay and knock it off with the humanitarian posturing. You’ve never done an unselfish act in your life, and by pretending otherwise, you undermine your own credibility. Better to be honestly selfish than to be falsely charitable.

To which I responded in turn:

The word “offer” does not necessarily entail anything positive at all, much less anything along the lines of “charity” or “generosity.” Notice that I have used the term interchangeably with “challenge” and that I originally compared it to a duel, for instance. I am not extending this offer as any sort of good deed, although to the extent that you are actually in the right, such an offer as this would indeed be to your benefit. I am extending it to you for the same reason that you are declining it – because I would win any such exchange.

I’ve yet to hear back.

"They're ivory. Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whorehouse would have a pearl-handled pistol."

-George C. Scott as General George S. Patton Jr. (Patton, 1970)

Patton was of course correct about ivory over pearl. With ivory you can still add grooves to aid in gripping the pistol.

I'm going to speculate, based on his apparent reality: blacks he actually thinks he likes, as long as they are sufficiently beneath him socially, modest, pious, hard-working, and slightly amusing. It helps if they a. play the banjo and b. do not try to date any of his siblings.

Jews, I'm guessing are 'too clever by half' for his taste, and further, do not fit in well with his antebellum fantasy, (pace Judah Benjamin and Albert C. Myers). However, he has discovered that accusations of ant-Semitism can be wielded as a weapon against people he dislikes, and because he secretly thinks that the Jews do control the media, he will try to suck up on occasion.

That's MY take.

Just amazing. I love this piece and it has to be one of the hardest to play and master on the guitar. This guy is amazing and plays it with such beautiful style and grace.

Ivory?
/That's it, buster, I'm rattin' you out for poaching./

These days it would be ivory from mammoth tusks found in Siberia. Such ivory is still usable and because it is from an already extinct species, it is legal to sell and buy. It is still used at times to create grips for pistols.

Given that I've seen very intelligent comments from you before, I'm presuming that I'm missing a /// tag here. The Red Army would have eaten the US Army Europe for lunch had it happened. That would have then lead to indiscriminate use of nuclear weapons by the US &, frankly, the ecological damage that would have happened if that had occurred would have left any of us still alive today... well, we would be worshiping the dead for they would have been far better off than we were.

As a vet & a tanker, Patton was at best an ass and a danger to our nation. It is fortunate for all of us that he died when he did.

The Russians would have found us hard to beat had they decided to try conclusions. Our M26 Pershing was finally arriving in quantity and it proved easily able to devastate T34-85s. The IS-III, however, would have been a problem. Britain's Centurion would also have done well. Our Air Force was much better than the USSR's and we had better artillery. That said, the Russians were quite good tactically and their numbers would have told against us. Fortunately, both armies were tired and Stalin had no desire to fight the US and UK at that time.

Patton was like a trained to fight pit bull, great in a fight, but he needed to be restrained by cooler heads at times. No question he would go after the Soviets tooth and nail, killing a lot of them, but the losses on our side would have been horrific.

Random middle-of-the-night book suggestion for people who like goofy alternate history, based on RS McCain and the mention of Patton: The Wild Blue and the Gray.

Basic plotline: the Confederacy won the Civil War. It is now 1916, and the CSA has entered the war, supporting their French allies. (The USA, under the presidency of William Jennings Bryan, is thinking about it.) The protagonist, Amos Ninekiller, has been attached to a Confederate Flying Corps. unit, but is himself a Cherokee citizen, with some national issues of his own to follow up on in Paris.

Thing I love about this novel is that it has a walk-on from everyone. William Faulkner. Patton. Jelly Roll Morton. Ho Chi Minh. Mata Hari. Hitler.

It's a lot of fun.

re: #75 Floral Giraffe

Retreat, I don't remember if it's Trappist or what.
Still, a retreat, is a rest for the soul.
Actually, I could use one about now...

Not bloody likely to happen.
But I could use one.

LOL!

Me neither. I've got tomorrow off and Christmas Day of course. Sadly, of my days off next schedule week one is the 26th, which is too big for me to actually take off. So I'll be working six days and getting paid for five. And I have to do that to get enough of my quotas to keep my job.

Temporary monkhood.

I hope it proves enlightening for you. Please return refreshed and ready to scourge Sarah Palin yet again.

Really? I like King of the Hill.

It's great, but it can be pretty uncomfortable. It's got Mike Judge's fingerprints all over it. :D

You will do the job, and you will do it well.
Not because you HAVE to ( althought that is a factor)
but, because you CAN!
And you will KILL THE QUOTAS.
OK, you will beat them nicely.
LOL!
Be well, work hard & get them quotas!

I hope so. I envy some of my co-workers. They never have to work extra days like I do and they make more money. Oh, well. At least I have job and good managers. I thank the Lord for that.

I don't know...I find myself cringing much more than laughing.

That's a good attitude to have in any circumstance. My whole life has been living tight, paycheck to paycheck. But I'm grateful for the relationships that have crossed my path. That's where the riches lay.

Really? You might spend some time analysing what they do differently than you do. And what it is that makes their days more productive than yours. And maybe you could work fewer days, more productively with what you learn. That'd be a BIG bonus, If it really exsists.

Have a quiet day off, OK?

I'm only 33, but I learned a long time ago that it's not usually merit and efficiency that rises people to middle management. ;-)

I will. And as to your point, I do try to do that. But most of the problem i that I work quite slowly, and they're much faster. I've tried to speed up, but I can't. Still, my achievements for this month will be better than last month and that helps, a lot. Thanks for your support, too.

Just keep being who you are. Around here that counts for an awful lot!

Actually, at my job it actually can do that. It won't for me, though. Even when I'm doing very well I'm neurotic and high-maintenance, and people like that are not promoted. I've already resigned myself to the fact I'll never earn as much as my father did or advance as far as he has. He had (and still has) the traits of a successful manager, and I do not.

As I said earlier, apparently a wee bit prematurely, g'nite, and have a pleasant tomorrow. (and this time I really mean it)

It's okay, I'm going to be nowhere near the earning potential of my dad either. Efficiency counts for my freelance work, but that's one of those absurdly specialized skills I can only make use of when the work rolls my way.

Humans don't have an infinite capacity for happiness, and while more money makes people more comortable, it isn't a cure-all. I know a lot of people earning phat six figures in the game industry who are stressed out, strung out, working 90 hour weeks, and totally miserable, and I know line chefs who earn shit and are having a ball with their lives. Make yourself happy first, life isn't a race!

Cool view from the Eiffel Tower.

I once read a fun-fact about the Eiffel Tower. If you took all the rivet-holes that were drilled into the beams and lined them up, they would form a tube 43 miles long.

Putting all ideology aside for a minute... can you even imagine a dialogue like the one above between two women?
Evolution will result in baby boys being born with embedded measuring tapes.///

Measuring tape? I think in this case, a couple of those mini 6" pocket size rulers would be way more than sufficient.
